Upon researching the documentary, it's entitled "Bitconned". It's now on my watchlist. It seems like an interesting documentary for Bitcoin and also educational purposes.

Yes, it's that documentary - and I avoided watching it for a long time because I don't like stories where criminals get away without any punishment. It's really incredible what a man did without getting any punishment for it.

It can be similar to that situation but is there any known accomplices with Do Kwon that they may try for a bigger fish to catch or something?

What I do know is that there were a lot of famous people who promoted that project, and the famous Michael Novogratz tattoo was remembered as one of the dumber moves. Also, not so long before everything went downhill, CZ and his CEX were promoting these tokens/stablecoins as a "safe investment", and accordingly it seems to me that Do Kwon has something to offer the US authorities for some sort of settlement.

It is worth noting that in order to put 500 Euros on the side every MONTH means you need a pretty good salary out here in Europe.  I would assume it is more likely that average Europeans would be able to put less than a quarter of that on the side instead.
But even then.  100 Euros per month since 2017 would get you to about 50 thousand Euros today with an investment of 7.2 thousand.  Amazing none the less.

...

Did you maybe read my post? I wrote something about it, so you could get a much better picture of how much someone can set aside per month for such investments.

Fun side note, I was talking to someone at the dog park yesterday who I had never met and I mentioned I retired early and he was like "oh you must have that bitcoin money", and I was like oh wow yes actually that's exactly it I retired off of Bitcoin. I like when people I meet recognize the wealth creation power of Bitcoin without me even prompting them!

You must live in a very safe country or you don't care too much about your own safety when you talk about such things with strangers in the park. Maybe the stranger doesn't have bad intentions, but someone else who hears a story about a person who has a lot of money might not have such good intentions.

What would you say when you get results like these?

The anticipated BTC bull run we've been awaiting has already begun, in fact, we're already in the midst of the upward surge. Today, I truly realized this hidden secret when I was just checking my watchlist and noticed the recent movements on the BTC chart over the past three months.BTC has formed a very robust bullish pattern known as the V-pattern. This V-pattern emerges as a bottom price pattern when an asset stops decreasing in value or when buyers in the market overwhelm sellers. Upon recognizing this pattern, I recalled the advice shared by experienced members in this forum to "buy the lows of the markets" and the ongoing bull run we're experiencing.
These opportunities are not distant, they're happening now, so let's seize the moment, my friends. I've already invested in BTC myself ☺️, but please note that this isn't a direct recommendation for you to buy as well. Be sure to conduct your own analysis and research before making any decisions.

That feeling when everyone is fighting to take any seat and you sit in the first class of the train and drink champagne - priceless Cool

Our train looks more like this:

 Grin

It reminds me of wagons from Snowpiercer

The train just passed the $50k mark🚂

726  Economy / Economics / Re: "Shrinkflation" is coming back as a narrative on: February 12, 2024, 03:45:19 PM
Shrinkflation seems to be one of the biggest problems in the US - because a great leader addressed the people and shared his thoughts Roll Eyes Personally, I don't even mind that the packaging of unhealthy products has decreased, because that should be good for health, right?

I would answer - this is great! Healthy competition is always good. Monopoly is evil)

I'll just say that not only did you show a high dose of amateurism with your service, but you also show that you don't even know how to read. I really don't know what's wrong with people who agree to test things like this - because it's obvious that you'll have to write a review, which I have no doubt will be positive.

If the whole thing goes the way most similar projects do, you'll just be participating in it in a very cheap way...

In the end, perseverance seems to be the key here. He's not putting an incredible amount of money down every month, but still he has managed to obtain a lot of Bitcoin, 4.47 BTC from his last update.
Have you tried something similar?, maybe now thinking about doing it?, I think it's a great idea.

I would not agree that this is not an "incredible amount of money" and even for a good part of people living in the countries of the European Union -> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_European_Union_member_states_by_minimum_wage

For some, like people in Bulgaria, it is even more than the minimum wage, and with the exception of some very rich countries, it would be a difficult mission to achieve. Of course, this does not mean that the method is not good and everyone can adapt it to their needs - so let's say someone does the same thing with 100 EUR per month, he would have five times less, but he would still be very close to having 1 BTC.

What is now clearly visible is that this kind of investment is very profitable in the long term and can be much better than relying on pension funds.
729  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I want to know more about Wallet address poisoning on: February 12, 2024, 11:36:42 AM
@Zaguru12, +1 because you know how to use a search engine, which I would certainly suggest to anyone who is interested in something before opening a new topic.

Regarding this specific "attack", I have already written before that it is difficult for me to imagine someone who could be so naive to be deceived in this way. I believe that it has been warned thousands of times that we must always check the coin addresses to which we send and receive transactions, and that such nonsense as copying an address from a transaction is nothing but a reckless action that obviously costs a lot for some.

I also think that the word "poisoning" is a bit exaggerated and scares users even more than it should. I would rather use the word "luring", something like when fishermen catch fish, but the bait still attracts only some fish, while the cautious ones avoid a bad fate.

"The identity case is expected to hinge on expert analysis of documents on computer memory sticks which Wright says he found in a drawer at his home last year. Wright will maintain that these will show his work leading up to the registration of www.bitcoin.org in 2008 and the minting of the first bitcoins in January 2009. (The blockchain contains the front-page headline of The Times on 3 January, 2009.)"
https://www.lawgazette.co.uk/news-focus/news-focus-bitcoin-identity-dispute-comes-to-court/5118638.article

The man who has been fighting with all his might since 2016 to prove that he is Satoshi, only last year decided to open his drawer and see what was in it? This really proves his "genius" in everything he does - and if this "proof" fails what's next - maybe a picture of him and Hal Finney drinking coffee while talking about how Bitcoin is something wonderful?

~snip~
For example , even if only 1 document proves that csw is satoshi judge will declare him as satoshi , while community will dispute that and stick to the point that the others are forgeries . Why so ? Because we are not judges or lawyers .

1 document that may appear to be legitimate and 499 documents that are proven to be fabricated only prove that he is still a scammer who forges everything he can get his hands on. You can think whatever you want, but that man you think is Satoshi is not even capable of things that children do in elementary school, let alone something as complex as the invention of Bitcoin.
731  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Do Kwon arrested on: February 12, 2024, 10:39:35 AM
Thank you for the explanation guys. It seems that it's getting really interesting how things are turning out with all the scamming, masterminds playing with emotions and money to make a quick buck, loads and loads of money. The South Korean authorities probably want him to take responsibility and I think it's very important for them to take action knowing he is a Korean.

When you see how various criminals pass in front of the US judiciary, you are not surprised that Do Kwon obviously wants to avoid being extradited to South Korea at all costs. I heard a long time ago about the case of the company Centra, which was run by the notorious criminal Raymond Trapani, and now a documentary about him and that company has appeared on N, where a man who literally admits that he wants to be a criminal and that he stole tens of millions of dollars from people all over the world after the trial does not get not a single day in prison because he cooperated with the authorities.

I assume that by delaying the extradition, Do Kwon is probably trying to reach some sort of agreement with the US authorities, and of course, in that agreement, he would receive a minimal sentence with his cooperation.
732  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Virtual cards - Transform Your Cryptocurrency with PayWithUs! on: February 12, 2024, 10:27:50 AM
You are absolutely correct - our cards are exclusively designed for online transactions. The minimum amount to replenish the account balance is $100. The card itself costs $30, with $10 of this amount credited to the card's account. All relevant information, including the terms and conditions, can be found within your personal account. Subsequently, you may top up the card with any amount you desire. We greatly appreciate your feedback and have taken your points into consideration. Rest assured, we will address these in our upcoming update.

What if I tell you that there is a service that also offers virtual cards without KYC, but with some much greater benefits?

Registration is not required, the value on the card is up to $1000, the card is valid for 3 years and can be added to Google/ApplePay, so it can also be used for physical payments. With all that and the unprofessionalism you show, why would anyone use your service?

Also read the forum rules - Posting multiple posts in a row is not allowed.
733  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Do Kwon arrested on: February 11, 2024, 03:20:44 PM
@crwth, according to my understanding, Do Kwon only succeeded in postponing the extradition decision, but I don't see that in the end he won't be extradited to one of the countries that are looking for him. I read that what he is accused of is that he can get a life sentence in South Korea as well, and I'm not sure what kind of punishment he can hope for in the US.

It is possible that the sentence there would be smaller, because one of the recent topics deals with a fraud of as much as $1.89 billion and the sentences for the perpetrators are 5-10 years in the US. What seems to me is that the South Korean authorities are much more interested in Do Kwon's extradition, and his associate was escorted to his homeland by a whole team of agents from South Korea.

To all this, it should be added that an investigation was recently requested into the entry of DO Kwon from Serbia into Montenegro, given that he did not do so legally. Some influential names of Montenegrin politicians who participated in it are even mentioned.

734  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Virtual cards - Transform Your Cryptocurrency with PayWithUs! on: February 11, 2024, 02:44:56 PM
Definitely "withdrawing cash from ATMs worldwide " - this is mistake, and we already deleted this from our website.  We are ready to upload 30 usd to couple of you to make tests and tell other people about your experience.

Perhaps you should thoroughly review the entire page and eliminate all errors and deficiencies. If it is true that your virtual card can only be used for online payments, then it is definitely a worse choice than other no-KYC virtual cards that can be added to Google Wallet or ApplePay and thus used for physical payments.

We still do not know whether the card can be credited with $30 or $300, and how long the card is valid. Also, the links that should lead to "Help & Support, Privacy policy & Terms & Conditions" do not lead anywhere.

I wouldn't vouch for such a service if someone paid me ten times more than what you offer, especially when your service is full of holes and unfinished things.
735  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Virtual cards - Transform Your Cryptocurrency with PayWithUs! on: February 11, 2024, 11:00:06 AM
I also confirm that the site works properly and loads very quickly even with Tor.

What caught my attention is that the service is based on virtual no-KYC cards, but at the same time they claim "Use your Paywithus Card anywhere MasterCard or Visa is accepted. Online shopping, in-store purchases, or withdrawing cash from ATMs worldwide - your possibilities are limitless.". As far as I know, withdrawing money from an ATM when it comes to virtual cards of this type is not possible.

I also did not find information about the min and max amount with which the card can be loaded, so all this seems a bit amateurish to me, not to say that it smells like a scam.
736  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A Personal Computer Mined How Many Bitcoin Per Day In 2009? 100? 250? 1700? on: February 10, 2024, 03:25:42 PM
Kind of OT but were they really that bad? Maybe I was lucky because my 20 GB HDD from back in 1990's worked fine and I even still have it somewhere in the house as a relic Cheesy

I am sure that such things were of much better quality than they are today, because they were made to last - and today they are made to break down within a certain period of time. I also have a lot of old electronics that are over 20 years old and mostly still functional.
737  Economy / Speculation / Re: What to expect this bull run? on: February 10, 2024, 11:31:41 AM
Chill out not everything is about Bitcoin!

If you are off Altcoins boards then everything is definitely about Bitcoin.

Yes Bitcoin has had a great 7 days, but a couple of my altcoins have had much better month, one of them giving me over a 12x in 2 weeks.

You have unrealized profit at the moment because you haven't sold anything yet, right? In two weeks you may not have x12, but only x6, and in a month maybe only x3. Long-term investing in alts can backfire, because most of them are pump&dump schemes.

I plan to be in altcoins this bull run, and then once I have made my profits then put a lot of it into Bitcoin in the next bear market in 2026.

If you claim that you are not satisfied with the possible profits in this coming bull run, I wonder how you will be satisfied in the one that will come only there in 2029/30, and after each halving the growth of the max price is less and less. However, if that is your plan, stick to it - everyone has the right to invest in what they want and in what way they want.

What you don't understand is that this is his only trial so far that has to do with identity . It's his last chance to prove what he says for years in his way . If he doesn't provide the necessary info i'm on your side . if he provides it you will be on my side or will you try to find excuses to still stand on your opinion ?

You are one of those people who want to believe that something is true, regardless of the fact that from 2016 until today, CW Faketoshi has failed in all discussions and trials where he presented hundreds of pieces of evidence that were proven 100% false by experts before these same courts.

It's funny that you consider this trial to be some kind of final solution to the problem of "is CW Satoshi or not?" if the chance for that is less than 1%, although some will say that it doesn't exist at all. Regardless of the court's decision, CW will continue to claim that he is Satoshi, and people like you who, despite all the evidence that he is not, will continue to give him some incentive to continue to prove it.
739  Economy / Speculation / Re: What to expect this bull run? on: February 09, 2024, 03:34:31 PM
First bull run coming up for me and I am just wondering what we should all realistically be expecting over the next 18 months or so?
~snip~

Considering that you have stated several times that you only invested in altcoins, the only thing you can hope for is that the Bitcoin bull run will have an impact on altcoins. If you look at the top 20 coins, none of them have grown more than Bitcoin in the last 7 days, but if you are greedy and want x100 profit, then you have no choice but to gamble with projects that have no purpose or sense.

I expect that the Bitcoin price will reach a new ATH in the next two years, and whether it will be x2 or x5 compared to the last ATH is nothing but something we can only speculate about. Your problem is that through all this time on the forum and all the answers you've received, you haven't really learned much - I suggest you start reading your post history from the beginning.
