741  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Poloniex , did anyone get their account frozen.. on: July 31, 2016, 09:51:41 AM
My account Frozen too, what the heck with poloniex. I have just 20$ in my account. I am worried for people like who have in K's. Guys be careful poloniex is acting like a f###king bank

wrong! a bank would tell you why they suspended your account and also you can talk with them on phone or in person. in the end, you will get the funds back but with a shit exchanger like Poloniex..?!

let's say that you will go to authorities to report the stolen funds(frozen account). what will you declare?

"I am using an illegal/unlicensed exchanger from USA , with no office, no phone number and I want my funds back"...  Smiley
742  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BTC-e a shaddy exchanger screams - "scam" on: July 30, 2016, 05:24:59 PM
I think it just screams "BTC-e owner/s have vested interests in ETH/Vitalik" instead.

If ethereum has to be usefull for smart contracts, these cannot be reversed everytime someone just legitimately executes a contract with unforseen result the creator do not like.

It proves ethereum is useless now, but ETC seems more appealing should the ethereum be improved and useable for smart contracts in the future - which is a big question itselves.
I doubt btc-e owners have vested interests. They are probably millionaires,  and they control a hugely popular market. If they wanted to make more money they would do it in a less obvious way.

do not underestimate the greed. also, we are not talking about peanuts(like 30k-50k USD)

BTC-e owners ran HYIPs before BTC-e, when LR was the king of e-currencies. Smiley
743  Economy / Exchanges / BTC-e a shaddy exchanger screams - "scam" on: July 29, 2016, 10:45:48 PM
Ethereum Classic is a Scam, it's saying BTC-e, a well known unlicensed exchanger, with NO real office, no address, no nothing Smiley

https://cointelegraph.com/news/major-bitcoinethereum-exchange-ethereum-classic-is-a-scam

you need to be cad to have a such behavior as BTC-e...

the scammer screams scam Smiley

746  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: XAPO blocked my account with no reason on: July 26, 2016, 01:24:33 PM
I have heard this happen numerous times and because of this is rarely use my xapo wallet now. When I first discovered the xapo wallet I was very impressed because I could send small amounts without any fees, luckily I only ever sent small amounts from that wallet so I was never at any risk of losing too much. I think its best if people avoid xapo unless they understand what may happen.
I'm using Xapo for more than 1.5 years and never got problem. Sometimes I use it with big btc amount. For really big amounts of bitcoin they requires to prove your identity. It's necessary, because Xapo is legal company and they have to follow laws.

legal company? they are outlaw for sure. they are based in USA, they work with clients from USA but they are not a licensed MSB. they request papers from their clients in an illegal way because they have no right to store/review identity documents.
I don't know all details about Xapo. But it's Switzerland based company, their main office in USA. I didn't knew that they don't have right to require documents of users. But if you already decided to use Xapo, you have to accept their rules, no matter how it's bad and can be against laws of USA.

Switzerland  request a financial license for this kind of activity too. You are free to provide your IDs to any stranger(as XAPO is) from internet. It's your choice...

TL;DR; Feds pose as an advertised on KAT.CR and finally find the bank account associated with this torrent website and in the process Apple, Facebook, GoDaddy and coinbase helped in finding the owner that lead to his arrest.

Quote
More recent records show that an IP-address linked to KAT’s Facebook page was also used to access Vaulin’s Coinbase account, suggesting that the Bitcoin wallet also assisted in the investigation.

https://torrentfreak.com/can-kickasstorrents-make-a-comeback-160721/

the strangest part of this is using Coinbase as bitcoin wallet which i don't really get. WHY  Huh

I don`t see anything strange in this.

Internet piracy is illegal and and Coinbase is helping the authorities in their investigation.

Bitcoin being anonymous is one thing, but when it comes to breaking the law, bitcoin wallet platforms should

help the police. This is normal.

very good point !

after you worked a lot(maybe years) to make a software/movie, etc , i don't think you would like to see your hard work all of the internet for free. it's a huge work and only those who are staying/speculating and making nothing can agree with the piracy.

749  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: KickAss owner was using Coinbase as his bitcoin wallet!!!!! on: July 22, 2016, 10:43:13 PM
same as most of BTC unlicensed exchangers. they are running their illegal biz like everything would be legal and they scream with the Feds shut down their websites... Wink
Why are you pushing regulation and stricter controls all the time? What country are you from that you have such blind trust in your government?

I'd really like to know,  for context.

I don't trust any gov BUT the unlicensed exchangers are a plague.

regulation = rules

rules = hard to be scammed(yes, it's possible but harder)

unlicensed exchangers = high risk(see MT Gox and others who ran with the clients money without any issue)  Smiley
they bring the shit all over e-currency industry. legal businesses suffer because of their unfair competition;the 80% BTC black market is due to them, their NO KYC/AML, no audits is gathering all the scammers/hackers and so on.

high risk = the banks do not want to work with you

no banks = no money, no honey Smiley

Okay I can understand this point of view. In some of your posts you are using the terms unlicensed and illegal interchangeably so I just wanted to clarify. Could it not be that an exchange is operating without a license but in a country it the law is not strictly defined?

There is no country who does not have a financial law which requires a such license. Take any country, make a search and you will see that a BTC exchanger business (who accept fiat currency) must have a financial license.

More than that, if you want to operate(to have clients) in EU, USA and your company is registered, let's say in China (it can be any country), you must get license in EU or USA(in each State from US) along with the license from China. Hard, right? Yes, it is but it's good for business. It brings trust and the trust is almost everything.

Well, imagine what it feels those who are in good standing, who spent millions of usd to be in compliance with all the laws(the costs are huge for a financial license; you need bonds, you need staff, real office, accountant, auditor and many others) when they see exchangers who are only having a website and nothing more;most of the exchangers are working like that.

The unlicensed exchangers are bringing all the bad image created around BTC. They are the BTC's disease, a cancer.

Charlie is out, but will he honor his debt ?

36 btc

did you use a financial licensed exchanger so that you can claim your money back? a licensed exchanger would have a bond which would cover the losses but in this case...NO Smiley
so, take it as an "experience and move on  Wink

and you are ?

the one who is telling you to "grow up " and stop whining on forums  Smiley
if you are a man with dignity and a little brain , you will understand, if you are a pussy, you will keep arguing without any real justification. Wink

good for him. why do you complain when you want "anonymity" and other libertarian's shits? Smiley

"cry" on your pillow and don't whine on forums, this is my message to all those who are using unlicensed exchangers and to those who are saying that a gov is bad and so on. yes, it's bad but why do you make complaints(when your BTC is stolen) if the  police, FBI ("govs", including police) is so bad? Smiley

you should choose. either you are a man with dignity, you know what you do and if you make a mistake, you will go on further without whining; either you are libertarian pussy (hypocritical) who comes on forums to say:

"i used an unlicensed exchanger and this one stole my BTC. I want the police to find the thief and to give my money back" (even your usual rhetoric is:  "gov is a shit, police is bad, fuck them)   Wink

P.S there is a 3 rd case: "you" are a really idiot, brain washed and you will always be a "victim" , so the words are useless.I forgot there are many of these who are populating the forums
755  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price? Who is making it? on: July 18, 2016, 01:08:51 PM
the questions remain":

" How is it possible in a so called decentralized market, where the exchangers are(should be) independent entities, ALL of them to have the same price when they certainly don't have a "the same" order book(same clients, same orders) ? How is that come? "

I saw many example when the chinesse exchangers dropped or raised the price and all the exchangers did the same without any valid justification. Their orderbook was the same.

The price is artificially created not by users but the exchangers according to their interests.

Do you know what is arbitrage. Someone make money by buying on the exchange with smaller price and selling on the exchange with bigger price, until prices are the same. There are a lot of bots doing  arbitrage.

bots like Willy bot who is making fake transactions. all the exchangers are making a lot of fake transactions so the price is manipulated in this way. the orderbooks are far from reality. it's a fact and ALL the big exchangers are using it. why? because the appearance of  many transactions, is attracting clients who are thinking that x or y exchanger is big or well known.

if the exchanger are so transparent why don't they publish the incoming and outgoing bank wires? Smiley

757  Economy / Exchanges / Re: MtGox withdrawal delays [Gathering] on: July 16, 2016, 07:59:04 PM
Blaming the disappearance of the MTGOX coins on an unknown hacker, or surmising that the private keys to the cold storage wallets have been lost or corrupted, or that some government has confiscated the coins without telling anyone about it stretches all credulity.

850,000 BTC supposed to be there
(minus)
202,000 BTC found in old format wallet
------------
648,000 BTC still missing

Using today's price in USD of approximately $625, the total value missing amounts to

648,000 * $625 equals    $405 million disappeard

Someone needs to provide a very good and believable explanation where these "missing funds" have gone.

After all of the investigation is said and done, and all this time that has past, it is unbelievable that those on the inside of this investigation don't already know exactly where the missing coins are; that is, if they ever existed in the first place. In case they never existed, then 202K is all that there ever were. That amount still yields 202,163 BTC (on hand) divided by 7,952 (approved claimants) which equals an average of 25.4 BTC per claimant that can be returned!

If some large bag holder has all the missing coins, and the trustee knows who it is, then maybe it would make sense to send whomsoever this person or entity may be an invoice, call this an account receivable or "asset", and simply open Mt. Gox back up. Sure it would be operating on a fractional reserve, but it would actually be more secure than most banks today since it would have a (202K / 850K) * 100 reserve ratio or 23.75% whereas most fiat banks like Citibank, Mizuho and Deutsche all operate on 10% or less reserve.

In other words, why make such a huge fuss about liquidating MTGOX. Nobody gives a second thought to liquidating the TBTF banks. We just keep using them and hoping for the best.

yup... no one ever came up with a good story of exactly what happened.  most likely Mark stole them all and it going to wait it out.

even if he has to spend 10 years in prison, in 10 years he comes out a multi billionaire.

What I find really weird is that MAJOR parties are working on finding out what happenened, but still we don't get a good answer. Japanese Police, Kraken, Deloitte, Tohmatsu LLC, ReEx Accounting Firm. I mean come on WTF?

it's SO FUNNY. An unlicensed company(so, I company who run illegally), Kraken, is taking care of others funds. LOL . This the Bitcoin's world. Smiley

people from here wants anonymity, no rules,no laws, they are libertarians.... but they go to authorities if their shit BTC is "stolen" even they used an unlicensed exchanger. i don't understand why they cry when they "asked" for this Smiley

grow up, kids, define what you want and then assume it !

don't blame the govs(police) that is bad and then you run to them whining  if something unpleasant is happening to you Smiley

finally someone said it!
so much hypocrisy... everyone want easy money (like cloudmining and HYIP's) and they want it in anonymity, but if they are stoled...

yes, there is a HUGE hypocrisy, MANY interests, brain washed and kids.

760  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying Drugs with Bitcoin ? on: July 13, 2016, 06:07:24 PM
i think anyone can not buy drugs with bitcoin because bitcoin users can use bitcoin just for online stuff and not any online  product seller can not sell any drugs online .
by the way i never ever buy a cold drink using bitcoin. then how is it possible to buy drugs? may be there are so many people who may be using bitcoin for buying drugs. but there numbers will be negligible.

their number is quite high. visit the dark web and you will see that.
