Arsenal with that last minute victory from Declan Rice, who's fastly becoming the difference maker for the team when they deeply need to get a miracle, not many people would have score this coming, as just a very few of the answers were for Arsenal to win by a goal margin, and I'm very sure if the question were about how many goals Luton would score, none of the answers would have been 3 goals+
That goal at the end was clutch from Arsenal, and Luton almost convinced me they got the draw in the bag. The total goals were also surprising, as I thought it'd be a classic 1-2 at best.

At least my Euroleague prediction is already halfway from hitting thanks to Real Madrid's six-point win, and I only need Barcelona to win by four to get an early lead.  Wink

The result had no impact on my match up, neither will the Euroleague basketball result do even though I have both Barcelona and Real Madrid to win and cover the 9.5, but so does my opponent to.

------------------

NBA question is settled, Lakers advances to the In season tournament semifinals in Vegas, while both LeBron James and Kevin Durant scored 31 points each, but Durant played a couple of minutes fewer than Lebron, and that brings the correct answer of the question to; Lakers win, and Durant outscores LeBron.

I'm still yet to score any point from this round  Huh

I expected this game to be the lowest scoring one of the the knock out round, at least at half time, as I've got them on the Under for the first half, but that's a lost cause already.

Despite the being quite physical both teams playing some great defensive plays, I'm extremely surprised by the offensive effectiveness of both teams too, Milwaukee with quite of 3pts shot fall for them, Lillard 4/4 3PT, A.J. Green 3/3 of 3PT as well, the high scoring nature of this fixture is literally about the extremely great scoring percentage from both parties so far.

It ended more than expected, turns out it was a dominant win by the Bucks outscoring the Knicks by 24 points.

Now, let's focus our attention to the next game, I'm adding more money on the Suns moneyline as I'm too confident they'll beat the Lakers on their home court.

That was such a dominating second half for the Bucks, that's surely set us for very nice match up vs the Indiana Pacers.

---------------------------

Maybe I'll tail you on the Phoenix Suns moneyline here, the Lakers have started the first quarter has the better side halfway in, so I'm looking for a better value or atleast a positive advantage +handicap advantage for even Odds.

The Sacramento Kings lost. Ouch! Moving on.

I like those picks @stadus, I think I am tailing that.

Over should be the easy bet, ... But we still have the 2nd half of the game, hopefully Bucks would be able to pull away with a big lead and bring us the "W"...As they say, no big lead is safe as anytime a team could have a big run and beat their opponent with the spreads, Bucks should be able to deliver that to us.

Halftime score. NYK 72 .. Bucks 75.

I have a bitter betting experience with the Knicks so i'll be on the same side with the Bucks handicap (-4.5). One of the things that worries me about the handicap is the number of threes that the Knicks will attempt because if half of those shots start hitting, they might cover the handicap.

It was the night for the underdogs last night, could we be in for another doubleheaded stunners today too ?

The complex nature of in season tournament for its lose one lose all nature makes it a fairer game for the underdogs too, as they don't need to be good for a 7 games stretch all they need is just one good game and they advance, and we could all agree that both Pelicans and Indiana Pacers had a good night and the results in a 7 games contest would very much likely have been different still, regardless of them winning the first game on the road or home court.

In this order of revelations (or justifications) I have noticed that my local boardmate is also plunged into darkness... Smiley Hey, you were serious about resuming the local derby... you are doing your part...

Hahaha it was not how i thinking to have again the derby.... but not problem man, all this is a staging made by me to not make you feel lonely in that cave called div 2.

Talking seriously i need to score points pretty fast, or the pressure can go high in the team.

I missed the deadline for transfer and subtitution for this mid week, I guess it's probably because there have not been a midweek GW for quite a while, it is such an awful miss for me, because I have Matty Cash who is playing against Man City team have been scoring quite a lot these, I could have brought Mitoma in for him at least or try to attack the Arsenal's easier fixture against Luton. I hope this doesn't have much of a negative impact on my gameweek points.

Not much of time for my team to regroup properly after the weekend, they had show for another matchup starting today, the coach can only hope for the best out of this one honestly.

That said, that was some bold statement win by team Cryptofrka for the week whoops! I would have said that was some Burnley - Sheffield United scoreline but then, his opponent was relegation-esque team, could there be more to expect from them ? Or is it just some fluke ?

I’m sure there is some weirdo TAA owners with either captaincy or triple captain chip played, FPL update will sure do it’s thing in a few hours.

Spending more than £5.0m on a defender or goalkeeper who is not Trippier, the team's defender, midfielder, winger and set piece taker, is a waste of money.

It is easier said now that Liverpool are struggling to keep a clean sheet, and Darwin Nunez is an absolute waste crosses and square plays, because I’m very sure TAA is often as much a set-piece taker as Trippier is, except from the opposing flank where Robertson comes in, and I would say TAA is a better attacking option than Trippier, of cause Trippier have the most points and will always rack in more bonus points due to the metrics used by FPL to awards Bonus points.

Watkins found his place on Villa scoresheet in last minute, so I am in for at least a draw, Harkorede
TBH, didn't expect it from him after mid-week news, but played all minutes today

one can't get it all, changed him for Nunez in my FPL team, but Nunez and Salah missed on scoring so far against Fulham, although 4 goals there

Getting a draw now would be a miracle for me, wouldn’t you agree, I really had my hunch on Bukayo Saka to score, but I just brushed it off and went for all no, since Saka haven’t being forthcoming lately, but I wouldn’t banked on Watkins for real and I thought he wouldn’t even make the match day squad, let alone playing all 95 minutes, and hoping for BTTS - No, between Man City and Tottenham today given how other results have went would literally be asking for too much, I however, can make do with a point here, if granted the miracle 🤞🏾

Diaby, Cash, Palmer benched, Watkins and Bowen start....

A lot of people's bench points to be blocked this week.

FPL official site update is so shitty when comes to players update, especially with injuries and knocks, I could sworn Watkins wouldn’t play or start the game today but I left him on the starting line up and Hojlund as first choice substitution and that seems to be paying off already.

Following those FPL injury signs are waste of time. Follow the actual club news and club training pictures too.

Had Nunez for only 69mins this season and my BP is already high. The most inconsistent and wasteful player of all time.

I went for Kelleher and I already had Tsimikas, I must say the first day in the office for the former is not so bad after all, he’s only conceded 3 goals against Fulham.

I can’t wait to see what the future holds for him 🌝🌝

EDIT:

I’m sure there is some weirdo TAA owners with either captaincy or triple captain chip played, FPL update will sure do it’s thing in a few hours.

My biggest flex for the game week is that I sold Veltman for Ben Mee, while taking a point hit, and it’s already paid off, because even with an injury plagued squad, Veltman can’t get a slot in the starting line up. Although too bad that Watkins like wouldn’t be playing and my first substitute can only come off the bench.

Congrats on that Ben Mee pick. Looks like he had a blast this gw but in the long run, I'm not sure because his returns prior to gw14 haven't been that great.

Yeah, expecting him to get relevant returns in prior weeks would have been ask for too much of him to be honest, in 5 of his team’s last 6 matches they’ve played against West Ham, Arsenal, Chelsea, Man United and Liverpool, with such fixture even any Man City defender might now have yielded a better return, and he was out injured in the first 3 of the last 6 matches mentioned, so I believe he’s a great set of fixture right ahead that could be making him worth the while and hassle.

Early game on TV as usual, Warriors at Clippers. Looking at the odds Clippers is the favorite but I expect a close game. We may see over 230 points.
Rockets vs. Lakers also look good but that's too late, or too early for me. I'd love to see Alperen Şengün against AD but maybe next time. Rockets may upset Lakers tonight, be careful about your bets.

Just watch few minutes of the first quarter, Draymond Green already hitting three 3's, that is a bad sign for the Clippers. And when I come back after a walk, score is 48-67 in favor of the Warriors.

Good to see that they are back, they've beaten the Clippers in their first game, so I wouldn't be surprised if they do it back to back. Yeah, Rockets vs Lakers is also a good game. Sengun talents against one of the most dominant big man right now. We might see some one on one plays for Sengun as I think he has the speed advantage against Davis. Or bring him out of the 3 point line to clear the middle for them.

The Clippers are starting to put together some wins here and there. With this win over the Warriors by a point, they’re now just one win away from being a .500 team. Not good but a lot better than things we’re looking a few wins ago. Kawhi has to be happy that there’s a chance to get some wins with this team.

I don't mean to take the efforts and resistance supposedly shown by the Clippers away from their win tonight, but the Wariors are becoming a more shitty team as they day goes by, they can effortlessly score 70 points in a row, but they can't defend those points being conceded back, so what's the point and they're becoming of the worse clutch team in my opinion, they've two of their last 4 or 5 games after leady by atleast 20 points, and more than 15 points into half way into 3rd or even the 4th Quarter, you really can't win a championship when you're that awful defensively, and Steve Kerr needs to figure out  not just a bench unit that can only function with Draymond, Curry or Klay on the floor, he needs a unit that either hold it down and get going without any of these guys on the floor!

I was thinking that Gabriel and Martinelli would make Arsenal gain much better points while Arsenal were playing against Wolves home today. Cunha's amazing goal caused me to lose clean sheet points. I think that Arsenal needed to win the match in which they played very well.

I was happy that Arsenal will get a clean sheet at home when I saw how they played for most part pf the game and since the game was played at the emirates stadium, I picked Raya over Areola. I was expecting a clean sheet and 3 points. That late goal from Cunha took away the bonus points but it's still all good because it's really difficult to get a clean sheet in the EPL this season.

Well, this is looking like a mid-gw for me but I have my fingers crossed for captain Salah tomorrow.

My biggest flex for the game week is that I sold Veltman for Ben Mee, while taking a point hit, and it’s already paid off, because even with an injury plagued squad, Veltman can’t get a slot in the starting line up. Neither Joel Embiid nor Tyrese Maxey could make the roster today, the 76ers starting five are Tobias Harris, Pat Bev, Morris Snr, Paul Reed and  Melton, I really don't know how they can handle the Boston Celtics at the TD Garden withou their best duo, this could easily be a blowout win for Celtics, except they get complacent and undermined the 76ers, if not this game should be over before the end of the 3rd Quarter, imo.
Undermanned 76ers. I enjoyed watching their bench playing like they are stars. Patrick Beverley showing he ain't to be underestimated when he hit some crucial shots and Celtics without Jayson Tatum (ejected with two technical fouls) had a hard time defeating them.
In the end, the Celtics still won the game by using their offensive powers against the 76ers. I love that assist by Jrue Holiday deep inside for Prichard with the shotclock almost expiring. I believe that should go to the highlights.

I couldn't agree more with you, The 76ers gave Celtics a good run for their money, and It was quite an interesting game to see with the level of competion showed by the 76ers, they were all over the place and exchnaging 3's with Celtics , and some times they just exchange layup or keep trade basket trading by any other means, at some point I doubted if it was indeed Beverley, Melton and Morris, even moreso Mo bamba with those 3 deep 3s and all.

It would have been very much merited if the 76ers had won the game.
758  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 02, 2023, 12:58:55 AM
I can't believe my Chicago Bulls beat the Celtics last night.  I was halfway watching, as I was also watching the Thursday night NFL football game, and had forgotten to check back in on the game and all of a sudden the final score pops up on my TV (I've got an alerts thing on my tv) that showed 120-113.. I was shocked to say the least.  No Lavine either is whats crazy.

You mean Bucks? Celtics beat Bulls. Next day Bulls beat Bucks in overtime.

Great game tonight, Sixers at Boston. Too bad Embiid is questionable. Maxey can drop 30+ again but it's very hard for Sixers to win the game without their big guy. Porzingis is out for Celtics but it's no big deal. Tatum and Brown should do the work.

The Sixers lost the last time with Joel against the Pelicans, and so with a tougher opponent in Celtics, Maxey's 30 might not be enough, he need someone, another offensive weapon to help him. But Boston is tough, they are solid with the best duo in the league and then the length of KP will have the advantage in this game.

Plus this game will be at held at Boston's home court, so they will have all the advantage in this game. Might be a close one, but it could be that Boston could win in double digit lead. So far the line starts at -6.5 to as high as -10.5 for the Celtics.

Does anyone know what is the deal with Watkins?

I feel as though he is going to start and it's nothing serious, but perhaps it's just illness or a knock?

No one ever knows especially If they're getting to find out via FPL website, it's often just a fluke and players usually plays in most case scenario whenever there is "75% chance of playing" tag on the player, but in the case of 50%, according to FPL site it's a muscle injury and has 50% chance of playing, I believe this is something a bit more than usual and Watkins just might not play, even though it's not a serious one and only misses this GW.

Juventus now have a real opportunity to become the leaders of the standings... They have an absolute lead in the game and I hope that the second half for Juventus will be no worse than the first... However, Monza have not lost their last five home matches...
Monza hasnt lost a single game at home since the start of the season but now it looks like they will lose. Juventus leads 0-1 against Monza and knowing their good defence i dont think they will drop points in this match. I think Juventus has a perfect chance to take the first place today.

Despite knowing that Monza haven't lost a game at home this season, I was still expecting Juventus coming in as though they own the place and dominate the game in its entirety, but Monza weren't just going to settle for a loss, as they've just equalized against Juventus to have the game at one goal apiece, and that pretty much seem like all Juventus would have to settle for since they couldn't bury the game earlier on.

EDIT:

What an epic ending to the game, Juventus were still able to get all 3 points at the end of the day, and Monza parity barely lasted for 3 minutes.
