I haven't harvested since Block #688188. I'm starting to think something is wrong... so, about 4 days or Any thoughts?
What's your importance? Are you harvesting locally or remote? If the latter, did you check if you are really harvesting or not (the remote might have restarted NIS)? My importance is .6 and I'm doing remote harvesting via AWS. I'm trying to boost the importance thru buying NEM. I had this happen alot with delegated harvesting, if the node goes down, you have to reconnect, to another node, or else you can give the node operator your harvesting key to keep on the server so if it goes down it will keep harvesting when its back online  THANKS! Will look into more Friday when I have time. I gotta get these NEM before the demand gets real crazy!!!!!!!! Yeah i hope they still stay this cheap too, as ive been earning a bit on my steemit posts, and ive been exchanging it for XEM! From what I see, people here can use steem it to do social media advertising about NEM, then use said profit to buy NEM. Win win for everyone. I did try that, its real hard to get upvotes from whales. |

I think ETC is just another measure to make sure ETH permanently fails, even if ETC does too.

I really dont know what the HF is going to mean for ETH, but there can only be one clear winner and if its going to be unstable or have an uncertain future, we will see more ETH of both chains potentially get dumped.

NEM is the only viable alternative to ETH, and IMO alot better.

Is this true? This comment will need its own thread because this is very serious. Vitalik out of his panic in getting a fix and a solution before the attacker can dump his shares has made an even bigger problem.
Yes, that is why Vitalik asked Ethereum classic to fork to fix this issue but they are refusing. Sloppy indeed as they didnt even account for the possibility of 2 coins surviving. This is very serious if this is true. What an epic fail! Could very well mean the end of ETH. |

NEM is one the few trying to reach for mass adoption.
When the dust settles between ETH and ETC, i think more will move over to NEM. They just need to know that there IS another solution! lol  If NEM keeps going with adoption by regular people, then yes ETH and ETC will be history. Everyone forgets that there is a world outside of the bitcointalk bubble. Price is dropping to 1000 satoshi again
When it was 30 we were supporting each other. When it was 300 noone was complaining. When it was 700 people was happy. Now it's 1000 and everyone is whining. WTF Fill in When it was 2500 people __________________. This is a great point. I never ever fail to be amazed how short memories are and how emotional people are. If two short months ago you'd have written about people whining about a 1000 satoshi price level people would assume you were off your tits on drugs. It just shows that there were a lot of squares who bought at 2000+ satoshis. Now they are very anxious and couldn't wait patiently for the next rally. Usually the result to this is they will sell at the time just before the rally. It is the epitome of a loser in trading. They buy high and sell low. Zero sum game. Without them, there will be no winners. Think about it. I was posting "dropping below 1000 satoshi again" with the intention of telling people they might have a good buy chance. I wasnt planning to react to the reactions (becouse I didnt want to lower myself to their level) on my post but as they are so many, I cant resist. After the rise to 2500 people were saying they would buyin at 1200 satoshi, 1000, ...again. And I wanted to give them a reminder of the great opportunity. The reactions that were posted (short memory, emotional, anxious, loser, whining,..) are pure lack of intelligence and a short-sighted mind. Let's leave it at that. Maybe this NEM community isn't so great after all. I have lots of XEM already wich I bought in at 365satoshi, so no need for me to whine. I think its more that it sounded like a troll in your early post, dont take it personally but next time, perhaps mention that its a good time to buy more and we would not have taken it the wrong way Anyway, im currently buying more XEM with the STEEM ive earned on steemit! |

The people that are aware of the real situation will vote for the original Ethereum classic. But the winner will be the fork because they have the money and have the backing of the companies who have interests of profit with Vitalik and his group.
Yeah, i do somewhat get that feeling myself, but i dont know what this will mean for ETH long term. It already appears someone is trying to manipulate their markets. |

I earned about $1400 steem on steemit, but half of it has gone into steem power and it will take me two years to unlock it. If i choose to power down now.
Its used as a fee for running the network, so always has to be topped up, i know why too, because they are holding it for everyones payouts at your expense, in two years will they even have any funds to pay you?
I still dont fully understand where all the money comes from when people upvote your posts.

ETH is a bloodbath right now, im staying clear of both until i can see who the clear winner will be.
I dont really even know what to think of ETH anyway, but on moral grounds i think ETC is the better fork.

Most people in crypto think the ceiling is $10 billion, only because Bitcoin - after a devastating MtGox - has sat at $10 billion for a couple of years now. IMHO if any crypto were to hit $10 billion, and there are no fiascos, then we'll see a progressive rise to $XXX,XXX,XXX,XXX marketcap.
Still this is day dreaming right now. Either Japan or Malaysia has to wake up and start buying NEM like crazy for NEM to unseat Bitcoin.

Because marketcap is so high already and price isn't even 1 cents.. doesn't that mean at .10 cents it would be close to etherum's market cap? What i'm trying to say is.. aren't we already near the top in terms of where the price can go?
No way! lol We have a very high chance of reaching ETH's marketcap. And i wouldnt even say $1 billion marketcap is anywhere near the top either. |
