741  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Worth investing in a Antminer R4? on: September 26, 2017, 09:38:46 PM
So from what I've read from you guys and the research I did I'm thinking I should really take the opportunity and go for the Antminer R4 Smiley

Edit: What do you guys think, good move? Smiley
I did.  Cool
742  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Worth investing in a Antminer R4? on: September 26, 2017, 06:47:41 PM
Looks like it's running good, if you can trust it's actually their unit's GUI.  And you'll LOVE your R4, it's the only current gen miner that you can be in the same room with and keep your hearing, have a conversation, even sleep...  Wink

More than one member of the forums has reported excellent results with a Powerline Ethernet adapter, thereby using the house wiring and not having to do much other than plug one in at both ends and setup for fun!
751  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Quiet older miners? on: September 22, 2017, 02:36:31 AM
Plus when's the last time they've announced a new R4 sale?  Not in a long time, while S9 and T9 sales continue for sha256 miners. I contend they won't be selling any more, and those of us that got a good one - like my R4B2 that's been running just fine for about a year now - should consider themselves lucky for getting a bit of the proverbial unobtanium!
752  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon A7 announced on: September 22, 2017, 02:20:33 AM
Let's hope the miners are properly gassed before shipping so those critters were dead before getting shipped out of China/HK.... International regs require it for bulk shipments at least into the USA. The US CBP will come down very hard with at a minimum fines and even possibly ban import for a time if those things were alive when they got here.

If the shipment of miner(s) is inspected by CBP and they see that, even if the critters are dead the shipment WILL BE SEIZED and most likely destroyed...
Wow, goes back to the OG meaning of bugs in a computer system...  Roll Eyes

The beast of a block needs to freaking END already!!!! Come ON BLOCKS!!!! Tha's it I am having one of my chickens for dinner tonight!
That's the spirit!  Those of us long time kano-ites know full well the power of the chicken eating mojo.  Cool
There are those who, from even longer ago (is that a thing?) would point out the female undergarment headress angle, but I'm not convinced...  Roll Eyes
Mine on, and don't sweat the week to week variance.  We're in it for the long haul, and this short-term rollercoaster ride is not only to be expected, but to be embraced!  Grin
Woot, coming up on 450% diff, love it!! Get that sucker of of the way and then let the blockalanche commence!  Cheesy
754  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Economically Built Miner on: September 21, 2017, 08:14:03 PM

You need to ask this in the Altcoin mining section.  This is the Bitcoin only section.  Wink

760  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: mining on REMOTE DESKTOP COMPUTER on: September 20, 2017, 03:14:24 PM
Mining for Bitcoin, no.  If you want to mine some altcoin with the CPU move this to the altcoin section.  This is ASIC only country!  Wink
