781  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance 11th LUNC burn: 2.65 billion tokens destroyed on: July 03, 2023, 03:08:30 PM
Not gonna fall for this trick LOL. Burning tokens had been done several times already just to pump up the price and I don't see it as a good way to increase token price. The supply had been reduced but the demand is still the same. It's a strategy to somehow manipulate prices but the 3% price increase is I don't consider a successful token burn. Investors turned back on Terra Luna long time ago and I'm sure there's not much of them plan on investing on it again because of the catasthropic mistake that this project made before.
I was wondering why binance is so hell bent in reviving this coin like why they are still supporting this disaster after so much time has passed.
we all know how rotten this coin is to the core yet there are still many attempts from binance in reviving this coin.
but despite of that, so many attempts have done already and this coin is still dead. surely it wouldn't revive in the future even if total supply
reduced to just thousands because this coin has no utility, no use, being abandoned by developers, basically its useless shit coin.
I don't knownto be honest. Maybe this token still generates them profit that's why they still haven't consider in delisting it. To be honest I consider this now to be a shitcoin given how deep they fall before their scandal. I don't see any sense on reviving a coin like this. I don't know if binance has it's own reserve of LUNC that's why they don't delist it given that fact that there would be a massive dump when they do it. I'm sure that they can't milk this coin forever.
782  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you been threaten to stop gambling on: July 03, 2023, 02:31:32 PM

As a married man you now have some responsibility to take care of, so you can't use all your spare money for gambling, every spare money is useful for a married man because of responsibility, so even if you can make some extra income, you will still need to divide that into two and use the a part for gambling and the other for an emergency fee, just in case.

@crypt0Gore, I will offer my own perspective to what you said, which is fantastic. As a married man, I believe there is no need for them to engage in any gambling because you have a lot of essential matters to take care of. My friend used to gamble all the time, but after getting married, he started to consider how he would stop, even though he was doing it for fun. He found it simple to stop gambling because of that. So you can see that these reasons are why someone should avoid excessive gambling to avoid developing a gambling addiction. If you already have an addiction and get married, your marriage will undoubtedly fail because you will be using the money you were supposed to use to support your family to gamble instead.

It's a good thing that your friend think about stopping snd really did it for the sake of his beloved and their marriage. Money is one of the most common trigger of relationship fights and if you are a gambling addict and all you gamble is the enough money you sre just earning, the possibility that both of you in a relationship will be destroyed by a money problem. Gambling should be moderated atleast once you entered in a marriage since both of your money are combined and lossing a portion of it will affect you both.

784  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Minimum Age to gamble on: July 02, 2023, 05:00:55 PM
I came across an article How Old Do You Have to Be to Gamble in USA?. In this article, i saw that the minimum age to gamble is between 18 to 21 years. I wonder if the online casino do follow this minimum age for gambling.

Yes, the gambling sites have our age data through the KYC documents. Do they ever restrict anyone who is underage to not to gamble?
Also, if we find any site allowing minors to gamble, can legal action be taken against them?
snip
one of the reasons why some gambling sites require KYC is to prevent underage gamblers from using their parents' money to gamble but nowadays children are very smart, they can falsify KYC data, they will only pay some parents to do KYC for their account.

the minimum age in gambling is almost difficult to implement effectively, there are many loopholes to get away from it, and one other important thing, many gambling sites also do not require KYC for their users.  It is necessary to intervene from all parties to be able to prevent under the age of understanding gambling as early as possible.
There are many casino that don't require KYC unless they are withdrawing a large amount of money or deposit large amount of money, violate their TOS, suspected on cheating or any other reason that make the casino flag the user for KYC. Given the situation that they do gambling using their parents money,  Doing small bets on known casino that don't collect KYC on small time gamblers will be one of the options of underage gamblers. Actually there are many ways to outsmart casinos pre-caution on under age gambling but I don't want to disclose it here knowing that there might a underage gambler who are reading this thread.
785  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: July 02, 2023, 04:24:43 PM

When problem show up some people immediately read the TOS which is bad action to do. They should read this while starting to register on their casino to avoid any issue and now this problem occur I think if I'm not wrong the accuser might be lose in this case since he violate the rules of the casino. But either way let see if there's settlement of the issue in good faith so that both parties can solve the issue and move on.
If you have signed up after agreeing to the all the terms mentioned there and raise concern afterwards how should they are responsible for it? They are not providing odds themselves and if they found it void they can cancel it but wait if they want to comment anything on the issue to provide better explanation.

If they just click the I understand button on TOS without reading it their complaints is irrelevant if they post something negative and try to destroy the casino reputation. We see something like that here and good thing that Rollbit always have an explanation to debunk this guys. This remind to other people to read the TOS this is always discussed in this forum so that they can save theirselves from any unwanted incidents where they didn't know that they already violate the rule of the particular casino.
Well, this is a common practice by people  especially on other websites that pose no risk to them such as social medias, online shopping or any website that has a registration and sometimes people apply that habit of now reading the TOS in casinos. We know that it is important to read the TOS because it can save our funds by abiding the TOS and to avoid problems on the casinos. I noticed that new gamblers are the one who doesnt care about the TOS as they see it no harm, though we can't blame casinos for doing proper actions against those who don't abide the their TOS since their customers agreed to it.
786  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1XBIT.COM ᐉ 7 BTC WB ᐉ Altcoin Betting ᐉ no KYC ᕗ Instant payouts on: July 02, 2023, 03:43:20 PM
Which offer or promotion offered by 1xbit is tempting or attractive one ?  I haven't came across any such offer which I think can compell the new gamblers towards this casino. The old gamblers already know about thier scam.

My point of concern is that they still find the gamblers to play at thier site. That's really strange and sad when we think of the scam they are doing with the gamblers.
actually when a gambler wants to find out a little more about this casino scam it only takes a little effort to google it. many negative reviews related to this scam casino. we have to become more vigilant people with our use of money. before using a gambling site that we don't know about, it's better for us to do a research first. Instead of losing our funds or just personal data because we chose the wrong gambling site. just take a moment. when you see bad reviews, it's better to avoid even though there are attractive promotions from the casino.
in fact such a thing can be done even when they are not members of the forum.
Exactly. It's not hard to do a research for us to know if the casino is scam or not. But many gamblers are still falling to play on this platform probably because of their laziness to check the reputation of 1xbit. Anyway, this casino is still existing because there are still people playing on their site. So I hope these gamblers will not experience the same fate of those who became a victim of this casino (for different reasoning) before they will stop playing.

Remember that we're using our hard-earned money to gamble hence only choose a reputable casino to play. So incase we win, we can withdraw our winnings smoothly and won't experience headache because you got scammed like those gamblers who have accusations against 1xbit.
It's just that there are gamblers that don't really do research before registering and doing deposit in a casino. Most of the time, they only do research when a casino is showing sign of being a scam casino like delaying their withdrawals, forfeiting, and constant reasoning of casino why they can't let you withdraw. Their marketing team is just so good that they still able to lure some gamblers into their casino and scam them. Once you deposit in this casino, you can consider yourself a loser even if you won in their games.
787  Economy / Gambling / Re: Whats happening with Betnomi? on: July 02, 2023, 03:19:49 PM
I don't have an access either. This is not good, especially for their customers  who has funds that is inside this casino. I'm sure that once they resolved their issue, there's a high chance that they will face a lot of withdrawal request from their customer, let's hope that their casino bankroll can endure those withdrawal request, if not, they can possibly struggle or go bankrupt. Let's not hope that we won't face a worst case scenario which is them running and identify them as a scam casino.
788  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Shiba inu get to $1 on: July 01, 2023, 08:38:00 PM
The meme hype continues with memes new coins popping up shows it's not over yet, Shiba is really hoping for more to reach the point you mean it took a long journey to have to shift the position of doge coin who is now perched in the top 8 in coinmarketcap and have to survive in the current situation where competition is tough with the emergence of new coin memes should not be shifted to its fame
The meme hype is slowing down day by day and it doesn't mean that new meme coins are being creates day by day means that it still has the hype that will carry them to success. DOGE has been there for a long time and I believe that it deserves the spot given that they have a very large community. Though even shiba has a large community, reaching 1$ is plain impossible to me. They need to burn so many tokens at their dispossal and make extremely good utility to reach the level of DOGE.
789  Economy / Gambling / Re: Loophole in stopping Money Laundering through Wagering on: July 01, 2023, 07:48:59 PM
There's always a loophole and it's impossible for the casino to stop money laundering.

If the casino have minimum wagering requirement, the gambler only need to gamble with low odds.

If the casino ask to increase the odds, the gambler need to choose a safe game like sport bookie.

If the casino ask to submit KYC, the gambler can submit a fake or photoshopped KYC and the casino will never know if the KYC is fake.

To stop money laundering is to deal with it, you can't expect your rules will completely prevent money laundering.
Well this is true, there's so many ways to avoid the demands of a casino but I think money launderers has way more options rather than laundering on a casino and expect this kind of challenges if ever the casino noticed that they are trying to launder money. Casino just want to avoid a money laundering abuse this is why they implement this kind of rule, but to be honest it's very easy to get that 1x wager requirement. If a launderer has been doing this for a long time, I'm pretty sure that they are ready for the casino requirements a long time ago. It's hard to stop money launderers as they can always think about what kind of solution they will make to bypass the challenges to launder their money.
790  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamble Responsibly on: July 01, 2023, 06:43:02 PM
Playing with control and a healthier mindset will enable us to play gambling more thoroughly and responsibly, gamble with money that we are ready to lose and don't chase high wins, enough to have fun and enjoy gambling will keep the desire away from continuing to gamble with a healthy mindset will help prevent us from becoming an addict.

Since this is possible then why do we keep seeing some people being under addiction or found with one or more abnormality attached to their gambling lifestyle experience, we have some benefits and advantages meant for us to have by default without any more discomforts coming in along with them than when we on our own way introduced some to our gambling experience, we have the control to this and what we determine to see is what we do and put in more efforts which turns to be either we are gambling responsibly or not.

Exactly, we have that control as a gambler before you step your foot into gambling you are aware about the risk, the thing that lead you into addiction or into an un-controllable situation is when you start to exceed from your set plan, once the adrenaline inside you already asking for more and you keep pushing for more, that responsibility will turn into out-of-control gamings.

It's your responsibility when you make your decision. If you are into entertainment, that's good to save your ass, but if you are into
making money. That's the thing that will lead you to fall.
Those people who just entered the gambling industry are called newbies and majority of them doesn't have that much idea how dangerous gambling is. We all have different attitude and personalities and this greatly affects on how we will react after the first gambling session you have. There are people who immediately stop after lossing money from gambling but there are other who want to get back the money they lost. It differs from person to person and the uncontrollable situtation like over gambling and over spending are the result of their personalities that will greatly affect their approach toward gambling. Imagine someone who is a newbie that has a great self control characteristic, what do you think will happen to that newbie after playing a single session? There are many factors, person to person.
791  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gender in Gambling [differences between Women and Men in Gambling] on: July 01, 2023, 11:06:22 AM
    -   Maybe let's just admit that there are a lot of us men who are more inclined to gambling and most of the women don't really like to gamble, that's the reality of what's happening of course. There are only a few women who like to gamble.

Most of the girls would rather go shopping than gambling, that's what I noticed too. And there are also men who hate women who gamble in casinos.
do men not like women who can make a lot of money from gambling?  of course the answers that can be generated are very diverse about it (when money is always talking in this world)

(i don't mind meeting and marrying a woman who gambles quite a lot if she can make a lot of money and keep her family financially free from it)

in some countries, the views on women gamblers are of course different, i got writing from an article which showed that in countries where gambling is legal, women are not looked down upon, in fact their existence is sufficiently acknowledged.

Quote
Several surveys and studies in several countries show that around 30-40% of total gamblers are women. However, these are general figures, and actual percentages can vary depending on a variety of factors, including culture, gambling regulations in each country, accessibility of gambling, and individual preferences.

I guess I can compare it to women esports gamers. They are acknowledge by their own community and the only thing is they are separated from the male tournaments. Gambling is a different talk given that there's money involved in it and there are many risk to consider which other people thinks women are not capable of. It's just some people are stucked on this masculinity things that they think that gambling is a game of men that are capable of handling the risks and women should at most only be the support to their partner who are doing gambling. We have seen this on many classic movies that women are always on the side of the male gambler.
792  Economy / Gambling / Re: Enough to consider a casino scam? on: July 01, 2023, 06:35:20 AM
I think a gambler who doesn't care much about KYC is a gambler who just gambles for fun and doesn't think about making money out of gambling. They may never use big money, so they're not under the supervision of the casino, so the casino doesn't feel the need to ask them to do KYC. Also, sticking with the small money keeps them out of trouble because they don't chase after the win. But when they are required to do KYC, they may move to another casino that is less strict when it comes to KYC. This is why a gambler must choose a suitable casino for himself because everyone has their own standards.
There are only some casinos that don't ask their gamblers for KYC if they are not depositing, wagering, or withdrawing large amounts, because most of the platforms these days would ask you for it even if you are trying to withdraw $100 which isn't a big amount in my opinion. The reason behind that is that their licensing firms require them to do this to almost every single one of the customers and the casinos have to comply with that.

So those players who play just for fun will either have to find casinos that don't require KYC at all or won't ask for it unless there is big money involved, or simply comply with the KYC and AML rules and complete their KYC verification, they won't get in trouble anyway since they play with very small amounts.
I had withdrawned nearly above $150 usd on some casino but most of the casino I have tried haven't flagged me for withdrawing that amount. Maybe casinos has a different withdrawal amount limit before their customer get flagged with KYC. We don't have any information on what kind of process does every casino have before they require their customers for KYC. Sad thing is the most reliable casinos are licensed and they are required to collect KYC from their customer.
793  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Waiting patiently for the next bull run... on: June 30, 2023, 08:40:00 PM
Bags of memecoins launch daily and most of those end up with scam. A few afford to come to light but temporary. When most of good coins were refuse to increased during bull run (comparing with previous price chart), then how can we expect from a meme coin to pump during next full run? Well anyone can give suggestions but its depend on a investor, Where he would like to invest his money. But its always wise to avoid memecoin.
I'm positive that 99% of meme coins that are released this year will not even reach the next bull market. I mean that they won't pump as much as other established coins out there. It is expected that DOGE will be alive few years but those meme coins who are just created to be s money making maching will either lose its community support or being abandonned by the project developers. I personally don't see a future in these meme coins. Meme coins is just a modern shitcoin.
794  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do not be pulled by the hype of meme coins on: June 30, 2023, 08:15:13 PM
It is indeed very important not to get caught up in the coin meme hype. A successful investment requires in-depth analysis and a good understanding of the underlying coin project. Following trends without considering risks and long-term potential can result in losses. Doing research, reading reliable information and taking fundamental and technical factors into account is a wise move before making an investment decision. Avoiding getting caught up in the meme coin hype helps protect your investment and reduces unnecessary risk.

Meme hype never stop. Because people always want to earn more and some of them really think that it is simple to earn more on meme coins because they are hype. They pariticipate in speculations and very often they lose their money.
You're right, the hype meme phenomenon continues and attracts the interest of many people. Some people are tempted to engage in meme coin speculation in hopes of making a quick profit. Many people do not have a proper understanding of the market and the assets they are buying, and as a result they often experience financial losses.

Since there is possible to make big money on speculations of meme coins they will be popular. Many people try their forces to make money on meme coins and they want profit and believe in success. Its like casino and they can not stop.
I don't know if we can consider them as "degens" given that they rely on speculations and their hope on the project to get a hype and make massive profits. I believe that there are many people who see meme coins that way. In short they want a quick money on investing on a meme coin. I remeber last meme trend, I was ask by my friend who have no idea about crypo about what meme coin they should invest to get a massive profit and assurance thst they won't lose money, answered that it's a delusion to expect something like that on investing. I understand that time how some newbies see meme coins because of massive hype and influencers that flexes their profit on meme coin.
795  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why People Still Gamble? on: June 30, 2023, 07:41:16 PM
The truth remains that, no kind of addiction is good, be it gambling addiction, alcohol, drugs or smoking, all this addictions kills, many have committed suicide after gambling away money they can't afford  to lose, I have read several news on this, many have passed on due to drug overdose, many have ran Mad and got killed by vehicles due to too much smoking, many others have died in their sleep taking way too much alcohol - this I've witnessed happen to a man in my area..

Addiction is a destroyer, no matter how menial it appears to be, we should fight against it and never allow it get to the stage where it becomes life straightening.
Whatever someone does, especially something that is negative and can lead to addiction, whatever it is, of course, will cause harm to them, especially gamblers. Very bad negative impacts will gradually come to him, psychologically he will definitely be disturbed and it is true as you said that it is not uncommon for those who choose to end their lives due to excessive stress and frustration. In my opinion, the self-control factor will no longer be useful for those who are already addicted, because regardless of their condition, they will always find excuses to fulfill their desire to gamble. It is difficult for them to find their way back because every day they will continue to be haunted by curiosity about a victory that they may not be able to get.
All of this is still related to gambling addiction when someone continues to gamble even though they know the risks they will get and there are still some problems such as the curiosity of wanting to win big from gambling which makes it difficult for someone to leave gambling.
Not only that, sometimes ordinary gamblers will still gamble because they think gambling is the most comfortable place to have fun, no matter what the losses are, but always come to gambling to make themselves happy.
There are people who find gambling as their source of entertainment and it's hard to blame them because it is their own perspective. We have different kind of entertainment and for me, I consider gambling as one of the entertainment that I'm still consuming. Iv'e been an addict before and my perspective on gambling at that time is not for entertainment, it is more like a challenge that I need to win. I have no self control back then and that's why I've become an addict and I don't have the sense of satisfaction that's why I keep gambling.
796  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1XBIT.COM ᐉ 7 BTC WB ᐉ Altcoin Betting ᐉ no KYC ᕗ Instant payouts on: June 30, 2023, 07:13:25 PM
There are many warnings across this forum that one 1xbit is a scam site but people somehow still uses it. We should make every effort every noise and every post to keep on giving awareness to the gamblers that they should avoid this site as if they play here they are likely to lose money as you never know when the site will stop their withdraws.

Outside the forum if you are a part of gambling social media groups, we can also raise this voice so that the people who are not a part of bitcointalk can still know that this site is the one which they should always keep on their ignore list.
How unfortunate that there are still someone who came from this forum who still uses this casino. 1xbit is a very well known scam casino here and most of their signature campaign participants has a negative trust for promoting a scam casino. I expect that the victims are only the ones who are outside this forum but didn't know someone from here manage to become unaware of the accusations against this casino.

Ive saw some threads of 1xbit on reddit and other groups and most of them are negative and just discussing about how scam this casino is. The one who are being victimized are the one who aren't doing a research and those who are convinced with 1xbit ads.

Nasa ibat ibang wallet din yung ibang coins na hinohold ko given na nasa ibang blockchain yung iba at yung mga top na coins like bitcoin is nasa hard wallets ko. Wala akong meme coins kasi di ako fan nun dahil napakarisky.

Tama, sad reality pero totoo to. Kung hindi naging super profitable yung axie eh siguradong hindi sisikat ang web3 sa pinas, or even sa buong mundo. Alam naman natin na less than a week dati is bawi mo na yung investment kaya sobrang daming nahumaling at halos lahat gusto mag axie dahil sa laki ng kitaan. Dami din nalugi sa axie at alam naman natin na part of the investment yun. Sa laki ng kinikita before ng players or managers ay maraming hindi na nag research tungkol sa economy at sustainability ng axie. If ever man na magka 2nd hype ang web3 games ay malaki na yung chance na maging skeptical ang mga tao at maging maingat.
799  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bakit takot ang mga Filipino na pasukin ang crypto? on: June 29, 2023, 04:40:47 PM
Hindi lang Pilipino, marami ring tao ang takot even other first world country citizens pero naka depende padin sa individual knowledge ng mga tao. Uncertainty and lack of knowledge ang cause ng pagka takot nila, fear of the unknown kumbaga. Kaya yung countries na may financial literacy sa basic education nila ay imbes na takot sa unknown is mas na eexcite sila dahil may mga matututunan silang bago. Iba iba tayong personalities pero isa sa biggest contributor is yung educational system sa mga bansa.

According to several reports, Chibi Finance, the decentralized finance (defi) platform built on top of Arbitrum, allegedly executed an exit scam on its users. Blockchain intelligence firm Peckshield provided a detailed account, revealing that approximately $1 million worth of cryptocurrency assets were illicitly withdrawn and converted into Ethereum.
https://news.bitcoin.com/chibi-finance-exit-scam-1-million-cryptocurrency-heist-rocks-defi-platform-on-arbitrum/
Oh no, the fairly new Arbitrum is used as a scam platform by the scammers. It's not the first but I hope this won't encourage other DeFi projects to run as it can surely affect the Arbitrum as a project. With the increasing number of DeFi scams, there might be a time where people won't consider deFi projects as it is prone to being a scam and there might be a chance where a new solution to this DeFi running projects will be born. Of course there's a chance that it will be a trend and people will start transitioning to it as it is better. If everything lines up when a solution comes up, it might be the catalyst of the bull run.
