781  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: In What coin do I have to invest to make MILLIONS? on: March 10, 2014, 12:27:40 PM
I would invest $300 (or 50% of it) in PMC (Premine Coin) and the rest maybe on 2 -3 other coins.

There is only a supply of 500000 PMC coins, no inflation.

I agree. PMC is extremely rare and very undervalued. It's a fantastic long-term investment. Not some flavour-of-the-week pump and dump crapcoin.
782  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CASH] Crypto CASH a unique Crypto currency! **1.1 Client is mandatory** on: March 10, 2014, 10:50:04 AM
I'm here because Cashcoin is a good concept. I know there is no proof and it is just speculation, but I think the coin was simply abandoned when it didn't meet the expected hype when it hit Cryptsy. I could be completely wrong, but maybe not.

I am not averse to the idea of perhaps changing the block reward structure. Provided it has overall community consensus.

With the market being saturated you have to pull all stops to have a successful P&D.

Some food for troll thought: since trolls like you are finally showing up, we at least know the coin is starting to gain attention.

In other words, go troll another coin, troll.

Yep. Nobody here gives a flying monkey about pump and dumps. We're all quite happy with our long-term investments. Ta.

How many coins out there have videos?

BTC - https://www.weusecoins.com/en/
QRK - http://www.quarkcoins.com/
EBT - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PVKHC1rxZJs  and  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-4h-74cndjo

What does that tell you?  Out of 300+ coins, only a few care enough to put time and effort into promotions beyond, "hey we're on this exchange come dump your coins."

That is exactly what this one is trying to do.

With the market being saturated you have to pull all stops to have a successful P&D.

Finally a coin with a dedicated team:-)

Let crapcoins rise and fall, because EBT is a long-term investment.

Not sure if scam, but it does take the wind out of MazaCoin's sails, and to be honest it makes them look like amateurs.

Can the same coinmaker not be involved in multiple coins?
He makes no attempt to hide either, and maple coin was mentioned on his linked forum a few days ago.

I dont see why he should waste time writing more code for an original website when he can just easily fork one over.

I think it's more of a question of his comittment to MazaCoin if he's so quick to release another apt which seems vaguely similar.

Zero commitment. Pure scam. Right after the Indians article when scam was revealed, total radio silence and another coin release in 2 days time.

Oh dear. Guess I was right to buy out earlier. Only lost 0.1% on that. I got concerned after the total lack of market movement even after that pump thread went up. I was going to wait to buy back in once the price dropped, but I think I'll pass.

I expect the panic selling will start before too long.
788  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ██[MZC] MazaCoin - National Currency - now @ RussiaToday, Independent, Telegraph on: March 09, 2014, 11:23:57 PM
I still fully agree with everything Herp is saying. Take some time to look into things yourself. Little red flags abound. I think this thread is being propped up by the pumpers and by people like me and Herp who aren't afraid to call this coin out on shady undertakings. Anyone seriously investing in this coin or those that are toying with the idea are already gone and moving on to something else. Even if Herp and I are completely wrong, the devs have not done anything to help easy our concerns or make us think otherwise.

Maybe cause the devs don't give a fuck about daytraders fighting over the hourly price movements.

That's pretty much the impression I got. From the YouTube video the dev did with that Bitcoin Girl he even said the large premine was so enough of the currency would be kept for the project itself rather than the traders.

People have gotten do used to pumps that a day of inactivity and there's mass panic. If this coin is going to become a real currency then it's not going to take off overnight.

and yet the official mods on their IRC chat keeping screaming "mazacoin to the moon". Go figure!

Heh. It's that get-rich-quick mentality that makes me think MazaCoin is overpriced. At least until the currency is officially adopted. Right now it's just another coin to most traders. I'll silently buy in when the dust settles if I think the coin has a future. Too risky to hold now in my opinion. Not unless you're day trading or waiting the long game.

Im in support of a takeover if the dev is nowhere. Why do you seek the permission of the dev to do this anyway? I'm sure if we all chip in with various projects and hire some sort of manager or managers then why would the dev complain about this anyway even if they came back?

If they were in support of not screwing the rest of us over, they'd have left the keys to the infrastructure with someone when they left.
And yes, I am pretty angry now, I've trusted/defended the dev multiple times and once they'd cashed out their early mining efforts, pretty much just left the rest of us looking like a bunch of mugs.
The bit that REALLY gets me is the name's going to be wasted if we can't pick this up and get it ticking along properly again.

The coin has support. I can't believe it would be that difficult to take over.

What I might suggest is pooling together a Cashcoin bounty for someone to do the hard fork for us. A trusted member of the Cashcoin community can hold the bounty. We all chip in a bit, and announce it in the main Alternate cryptocurrencies section that we're looking for someone to help with a hard fork, who then hands over the necessaries to the community leader of the coin.

All the pools and exchanges will need to be contacted about the fork, and it will have to be executed properly. No half-baked fork. Smooth transition. Then we can discuss where Cashcoin goes from here.

I don't like pmc and i've said already in past, but Spirygolden is really a donkey  Grin

Are you going mad dude Cheesy Tongue (ironic emoticons to avoid misunderstanding)?

The first correct thing that you said from long time Wink

I understand emoticons, don't worry for that. I repeat for the last time, i like the idea of this coin but not its distribution.

It remains to be seen if Faircoin will be any better. PMC is still treading in uncertain territory. I wonder what affect it will have to have hundreds of holders with an equal share? Yes, on the plus side there aren't any big holders (provided nobody cheats), but at the same time everyone is in the same boat with the same amount of coins, so what then? Provided the majority hold, then there could be some exchange demand.

However, if the majority dump, then it will plummet. Other than its method of distribution I'm not sure what else it has going for it. PMC is simulating a future Bitcoin. Intentionally or otherwise, it wouldn't have worked with Faircoin's distribution model.

Reveal it in the most awkwardly cryptic (but not so cryptic that every Joe Bloggs with a bit of BTC in their back pocket couldn't decipher it) way.

Don't let him get to you. The guy is clearly an idiot. If he wants to keep bumping the thread than let him. I consider it a positive sign if people are trying to spread FUD. It means people want to buy in as cheap as they can. Pity he's so god damn awful at it. Good grief.

He thinks the market will be dead in a few days.

Yeah.

Exactly.

Well, if it wasn't instamined by the devs, then the coin can just be forked from this point onwards and taken over. No issue there. Not that I am saying this should happen. Not unless it has overwhelming community support.

So, you didn't know whether it was pre-mined/insta-mined, but said it anyway?

I edited my post after you quoted it, they got 22k in a few hours and 64k in the first as far as I can tell.

Yea, cashed out and buggered off. Could have at least left the damn keys with someone, but I guess greedy people are usually selfish and inconsiderate too.

It makes sense when you think about it. Everyone expected it to rocket when it hit Cryptsy, but didn't. Clearly the developers thought so too.

I guarantee they're currently an active dev for another coin right now. They are of course welcome to show their faces and tell us what news of Cashcoin, but the quiet treatment tells me all I need to know, really. The coin will trundle along without them, but without development, it's not encouraging for the long-term future.

If there is a planned community takeoever, I'd quite like to know who is willing to take the reigns. It would be better for a group of people to be actively involved, and for whoever leads this venture to be someone who can be relied upon to stay active, or at a bare minimum hand over the keys if he/she ever decides to step down from the position.

797  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: freicoin wallet leaking? on: March 09, 2014, 06:41:16 PM
This is how freicoin works.

It has a sort of anti-proof-of-stake which is meant to dissuade big bag holders from just sitting on coins.
798  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: rumors of up and coming big MazaCoin Pump? any news? on: March 09, 2014, 06:32:54 PM
I guess if you were going to pump, a new exchange listing is as good as time as any, but again, pump rumours are just rumours.

Worth getting PMC listed? I wouldn't mind buying a steamkey or two.  Smiley

it appears our announcement of being listed on lazy coins has got us some more attention from new miners.   Difficulty has been slowly increasing all day.  Let's keep the growth going.  Alost of the hash is unaccounted for in the pools, so it appears it is coming from people soloing.  If possible we should have OP update the thread name to include lazycoins news

It's because people know that when there is an increase in volume, there will be an increase in price, and the current difficulty is very low, so it's not difficult for miners to put two and two together and realise that it's more profitable to mine EBT now before it hits LazyCoins than other coins.

I've spoken to a few people who've told me they've stashed away a good amount of EBT fully expecting big increases in the future. I kind of regret not putting more into EBT when I had the chance, however I am pleased that I spotted this coin early on and managed to get a small stake.

The current situation might not last long, though. I expect the difficulty will really jump when it hits LazyCoins.
