781  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BCH threat to BTC? on: August 19, 2017, 09:44:06 PM
Very funny lol  Cheesy

The only funny thing is paying 5%-20% Bitcoin fee when buying standard things like hosting. So you see, Bitcoin is not meant for this, thats why Bitcoin Cash would be much better. But it does not threat the Bitcoin speculative investment, which it already is (and it works!).

You can change the transaction fee amount, just sayin'. But you're right in speculation with merchants transitioning over to bch for transactions, the legacy confirmations are too long imho.

Confirmation in bch is fast because it does not have that much transaction yet. Maybe in a few years when it have millions of transactions we can see if it can really combat scaling problems. only then we can see if it can really outdo bitcoin.
782  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which alt coin buy for small amount? on: August 19, 2017, 01:02:27 PM
With what altcoins to invest, you should research that on your own. Make sure you do not purchase an alt because someone here suggested it to you. That would be a disaster. Read whitepaper and know the road map of the alts you want to invest on.

About exchanges, kraken and bittrex are good exchange/trading sites. Poloniex is good too but avoid it for now because it is recently having issues on withdrawal. May use polo when their issues are resolved.
783  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Profitability vs. real value on: August 19, 2017, 12:51:37 PM
because money makes the world go round and round. You can be an idealist and only support projects that have real value but you cannot stop people from investing on something that is more profitable. You can fight it all you want but you will have a hard time stopping it. Scammers will continue to scam because of greed.
784  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Guide to be a better bettor on: August 19, 2017, 09:59:03 AM
these are good tips but once the gambler gets addicted he will ignore all these tips and will go with his addiction. He will just ignore everything you said.
785  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin on the Mars on: August 19, 2017, 07:45:38 AM
Do you think people, once they have populated the Mars, will use Bitcoin there?

I think YES THEY WILL USE BTC ON MARS

I am visionary

Let us say this happens, and civilization is already living in mars. How hard will it be to sync blockchain in mars and on earth? It is a long distance and a slow process. And if they use another blockchain,it will not be bitcoin but an alt.

I will tweet if op will give information on algorithm and escrow the fund. Otherwise, this is considered a scam attempt.
787  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I just got my bonus check! (alt coin investing) on: August 19, 2017, 07:32:59 AM
You can go for the top coins in coinmarketcap.com. But personally I have Nem and bitcoin. Nem is still pretty much undervalue at current price. You can also try bch now because it is pumping and there is still no sign that it will stop. Bch for short term only.
788  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin cash pump on: August 19, 2017, 07:15:17 AM
Bitcoin Cash seems to start acting what it really is, at least for now, a pump and dump kind of coin. There is pump of course, it will be impossible for a coin such as Bitcoin Cash to just dive straight into rock bottom. But then each pump is followed by another dump. And the cycle continues.

If there are still other people holding bch, they can dump. But what if the only ones holding bch right now are ver and wright, and they are pumping bch. Then there is no more dump happening, only pumps. And there will be newbies seeing the pump will be enticed to buy bch as well, thus more pump.

790  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC continue to raise by end of the month on: August 19, 2017, 02:10:23 AM
It is hard to say. What I can say is that bitcoin is currently having a hard time breaking its resistance level which is 4400. And now that BCH is on the rise as well, it makes it harder for bitcoin to geet past that. In fact, it is dragging bitcoin down. But its support at 4000 is well intact so we can say that it can still make a bull run and break past 4500.
791  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin Cash surge - reasons for the increase? on: August 18, 2017, 11:19:59 PM
I'll go with profitable to mine and easy to pump. I do not believe there is real value behind the current rise of bch right now but a pump attempt by some whale trying to make money by dumping on those who bite on his bait.

793  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Game of Thrones - Who will rule? Odds and betting discussion on: August 18, 2017, 08:41:38 PM
I won't give out any big spoilers but be warned if you haven't seen the leaked episode yet...

While it was certainly full of fan service moments and action it was one of the most poorly written and embarrassing of the series in my opinion. The teleportation issues are going full retard, it's getting so ridiculous I'm laughing out loud lately. This one in particular is the worst, similar distances were covered in almost a full season earlier and now they are 12-24 hours away and happen on a single episode lol!

The ending was definitely an iconic moment to be remembered, it was expected after the outcome of the battle but it was still pretty cool.

Its very amazing how they are able to cover such long distances at very short times. Look at how fast the ravens are able to send messages at a quick time, I am almost lead to believe that they pigeons are given some energy boost to travel on such short speeds and i dont know how fast dragons are though. Considering how Daenerys spent about a day to reach beyond the wall and save all of them.

well someone did the math on how long the ravens traveled and how long Daenerys have to travel to get to Jon Snow including how long will it take the ice to be thick enough to support the Walkers.

Here's the link, take it or leave it, it is just for fun.

794  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 1 BCH = 1 BTC before end of august? on: August 18, 2017, 07:41:10 PM
Even if the proponents of bch dumps all their bitcoins and pump bch, it will not be enough to pump it to equal bitcoin. Don't get too hyped just because it is pumping right now.
795  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: August 18, 2017, 07:30:58 PM
Lets discuss Curry Irving, I mean Kyrie Irving. Thoughts, Which team he will accept or land team Kyrie Irving ?

For me hopefully he will go to Denver nuggets for Kenneth Faried.

We have already lots of discussion here about Kyrie Irving. I think every pages there is a Kyrie Irving issues. Smiley

As of now still there is no clear things about the Kyrie trades. The team involved on the rumors is still rumors as of today. Honestly I don't know in what team he will land with a bigger percentage. Let's just wait for the progress.

And it has been too long since he announced that he wanted to be traded and still not traded. I am now in doubt if he will still be traded. It seems that cleveland is low balling everybody to avoid kyrie traded.
796  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Market cap of BTC passes that of PayPal on: August 18, 2017, 07:03:27 PM
This is great milestone for bitcoin. Paypal has lost a lot of clients when bitcoin came into the scene anyway, so it is great that bitcoin finally passed paypal in market cap. Maybe if bitcoin get fine tuned more and get rid of scaling problems, it will get pass visa/mastercard as well.
797  Other / Off-topic / Re: Job Vs Bitcoin on: August 18, 2017, 06:04:08 PM
I see no reason why not. If you found a stable income using bitcoin and you are sure you will be earning more if you go full time, then go for it. But if you are quitting your job for a hunch that you will be better off in going bitcoin full time, think very hard before doing it.
798  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your best investment? on: August 18, 2017, 05:45:46 PM
The best altcoin I have is nem. It is just x10 since I got it but it is already good profit for me. I am waiting for it to explode into x100 of my initial investment before I get out of it.
799  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH or BCC who whil be best? on: August 18, 2017, 05:16:12 PM
Between the two, I am betting on ETH. There are lots of ICO using ETH. But we still have to see what BCC can offer to use asides from the big blocks. We can better answer this question when BCC have established themselves better.
800  Economy / Speculation / Re: Should I cash out my BTC now? on: August 18, 2017, 04:59:56 PM
If you work for bitcoin to have food in your table, of course you need to sell it whether the price is high or low. It is a necessity. But if you are a hodler, it is your own prerogative. The price is really high right now, it is a win.
