~snip~

Don't know but you cannot put your full faith in the openers and the middle order. Rohit and Jaiswal are out of form, Kohli can bat and can score runs if both openers are out early. SKY cannot be relied on that being said the whole team cannot be dependent on lower middle order and the tail. I doubt they will go wit a combination of six bowlers and all rounders, there will be a strategy again in place by Dravid and Sharma which we will come to know after the event starts. Although I still feel Jaiswal should have been dropped and Gaikwad should have been picked up as his replacement.
For starters, for this WC Gaikwad was not in the scheme of things and not because of some bias but there were already too many candidates and he was way down in the pecking order. His stocks went up recently.

Well, IMO they will go with 6 bowling combination and who knows if they decide to open with Rohit-Kohli, in that case, Jaiswal will sit out.

Squad looks spin heavy and i am thinking about what would be playing XI. Jadeja and Axar won't play together, similarly, Chahal and Kuldeep won't feature together as well.

I consider Jadeja and Kuldeep to be first choice and in their absence Axar and Chahal can come in. Though, IMO Ravi Bishnoi is better than Chahal.

The combination with 2 seamers Bumrah and Siraj/Arshdeep + Seam allrounder Hardik + Spinner Kuldeep + 2 spin all-rounders Jadeja and Axar might be possible.

It gives you 6 bowling options and you can stack your batting line up where Axar coming at number 8. Shivam Dube can also chip in for at least 1 over, he needs to get back in action tho and I hope he's already bowling in the nets for the CSK.

This might be the final run of those three veterans in ICC events.

Three of the MI players who expected to be in playing XI of WC got out cheaply.

Exclusion of Rinku can't be justified at all, BCCI made a big error in picking the finsiher role player and 4 men spin attack looks unnecessary.
That's what everyone thought after last T-20 wc and  Bcci  actually started building new team as well, atleast it appeared on paper because senior players didnt feature in single t-20 match for like 16-18 months but just before the Ipl everyone joined the t-20 side against Afghanistan.

Win or lose, this time BCCI need to kick these seniors out of the team because they wont take voluntary retirement or willingly give spot to young player.

Rinku not a part of the main lineup and Hardik is? What a load of crap. Decent lineup, but it could have been a lot better. Coming to the ongoing LSG vs MI match, it looks like Mumbai is all set to bid adieu to the playoffs race.

LOL! Harshit Rana fined 100% of match fees, and banned for 1 match for that... half assed celebration?
Saw this result coming from a mile away. His celebrations are way too aggressive and ungentlemanly if you ask me which is why he totally deserved this.
Imagine one bowler having an off day and you have no part time bowler in the top 6 because your batters are not interested at all and your domestic cricket is not creating enough all-rounders.

That's where Hardik Pandya comes in (6th bowling option), it's a failure of a system that after so many years they are still struggling to replace him in white ball cricket.

^^ When the likes of Rohi, Kohli and Jadeja are in the lineup then you can't fit fresh faces in the squad.

Happy with WC squad and glad they didnt go back to kl and DK. I'd have like to add Rinku in 15 men's squad but can understand why he's not there ( fixed spot for Rohit and Kohli).

Abhishek Sharma was another worthy candidate for the backup opener but guess management still backing Gill.
87  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🔥 BC.GAME IPL 2024 Participant’s Exclusive Discussion Thread on: April 30, 2024, 09:03:15 AM
^^ IMO It was actually a correct decision to bowl first because dew did come hard during 2nd inning.

Luckily for CSK, their bowlers, especially Jadeja manage to keep things tight with the wet ball. This is a tough thing to do and you need a ton of practice and there is no guarantee that it'll come off on any given day.

Delhi looks cooked tonight and it appears they already lost the match and might end up boosting KKR's run rate for the final run.

Atm their best bet would be to play their 20 overs quota and try reaching the 150 mark and if Dew is not there then hope, their spinners also get a similar purchase from the pitch as Chakaravarthy.
Yeah. It looks like they will end up going above 150 which actually seems pretty good on this bowler friendly pitch. Loving the fact that bowlers finally are in an advantageous position over batsmen for a change.

If DC bowls really well like in recent matches, I think KKR could be in trouble. Entertaining match overall!
If Kuldeep and Axar can tackle the Dew issue then they could seriously trouble the KKR's batters as they are quality spinners but at the same time KKR's batting lineup is packed with some spin bashers so it should be a contest.

Hope, they don't make a mockery of this chase and finish the match within 15 overs lol. I'd prefer some collapse and nail biting contest because low scoring chase are fun to watch.

^^ SRH turning out to be South Africa of IPL. In the last ODI WC, the latter were also ridiculously dominating when batting first and all lol & giggles while chasing the target.

Their batting style is also more suited for setting a target, instead of chasing when scoreboard pressure is on.

91  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: April 28, 2024, 01:27:41 PM
Jeez! Will Jacks, the first 50 runs came off from 31 balls, and the next 50 runs in just 10 balls Lmao. The last couple of overs were just humiliation.

Madlad didn't even hesitate to spank Rashid and He also robbed Kohli's MOM lol but at least Kohli had the best view.

92  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: April 28, 2024, 12:07:23 PM
Sudershan has turned out to be one of the most consistent IPL batsmen period. He deserves many opportunities in the international team if you ask me.
Consistent for sure but he's slow and seems like an anchor to me. Today his first half of the inning was slow, he picked up the pace later.
-------------
A bit of normalcy is returning now, The First half is done and dusted so it's only fair if the pitch starts slowing everywhere or maybe assists bowlers more.

One to the slow powerplay for Gujart and on top of that, when the likes of David Miller start scoring run a ball, then the pitch is not a belter for sure so maybe batters might try to get set first or possibly anchor roles comebacks in the 2nd inning.

93  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: April 27, 2024, 04:02:52 PM
There was a time when a 190+ score used to look daunting and in the worst case defendable target but the kind of batting and pitches we are witnessing this season, 196 runs on the board feels like a below-par score.

The pitch did look slow at times, the ground is also big and I don't think Dew will play any big role tonight but still, RR should fancy their chances because Jaiswal got some runs under his belt and other top 3 batters are also in good knick. It should be a cracking chase.

94  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: April 27, 2024, 01:37:48 PM
This season you have to feel for MI's fans, nothing is going in their favor and even Delhi is trolling and dominating them.

The equation is now 78 runs in 28 balls, which seems unlikely unless they get 2 big overs of 20 runs each. At least they are above RCB and will remain there despite losing this match Grin.
95  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: April 27, 2024, 10:29:29 AM
Wake up baby, another massacre is in progress right now  Grin Grin

2nd 15 ball 50 for Jake Fraser-McGurk lol. I mean wtf is happening in this season, powerplay is not finished and DC already got 90 runs on the board. I guess a new record is in the making.

for RCB to become competitor for the trophy all they need is consistency from the whole team.
What's that supposed to mean? Are you trying to say that they are not consistent enough?

These guys are big dogs in the IPL along with Mumbai and Chennai and IMHO they are the most consistent team in the IPL. After all, they shat the bed in the last 16 seasons and counting.
97  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🔥 BC.GAME IPL 2024 Participant’s Exclusive Discussion Thread on: April 26, 2024, 12:12:44 PM

D Kartik and KL Rahul shouldn't be near the T-20 WC squad.
~edited~
So who are the options, Ishan Kishan
2 WK batters are enough for 15 Men's squad. Samson and Pant should do the work. Ishan Kishan won't make it into even 20 Men's squad.

Found this circulating on r/ipl. This is the squad picked up by Sanjay Manjarekar. Stange he did not pick up Kohli

Sanju Manju went full retard.

KL Rahul: After 8 outings in the IPL he's lagging behind 10 batters and 9 of them are Indians except Travis Head.
Siraj : He's having a meltdown and out of form completely so he shouldn't be in the squad.
K Pandya: I mean WTF he's smoking.
Harshit Rana: He's good but not breaking a door, also sample is too small.

Jaiswal: Before the IPL He was in hot form but didn't look good in the first leg of IPL. IMO for the opening slot, he's still a safe bet when compared to other options. Also, I'd like Abhishek Sharma (SRH) as a backup opener.

Mayan Yadav: He can provide an X-factor to this Indian bowling lineup and could be a game-changer but his fitness is a big problem. Still, I won't mind if he's in the squad. Just use him tactically, for ex: against only top teams or possibly 1 group match and then save his strength for Knockouts.

Edit

Completely forget about Kohli lol. If you want one anchor player in your team then Kohli is the only guy you should go for without any doubt.
98  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🔥 BC.GAME IPL 2024 Participant’s Exclusive Discussion Thread on: April 26, 2024, 06:31:39 AM

If not pant then possible alternatives are KL Rahul or DK.
D Kartik and KL Rahul shouldn't be near the T-20 WC squad.

They got their chances already and shat the bed royally in the last T-20 WC. We shouldn't forget how poorly KL performed in the Australia leg of WC, first maiden over became mandatory when he opened for India. DK is also a WC fraud lol, in every T-20 WC cycle he performs exceptionally well in the IPL only to get dropped in the WC after a few matches.

Update regarding the new pay structure for Ranji Players.

A New suggested proposal advocates that if any player features in 10 or more Ranji matches then he should earn 75 Lak INR to 1 Crore INR, depending on seniority etc. Atm pay is 15-22 Lakhs INR so it's almost triple. The worst case scenario they will get a double increment, hope BCCI finalizes everything and implements this in the next season.

Indian domestic players may earn upto INR 1 Crore

What's happening at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium? Sunrisers Hyderabad have lost three crucial wickets so far. And all three are big names - Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma and Aiden Markram. Now they have Nitish Kumar Reddy and Heinrich Klaasen. So different from the past matches for SRH. They are struggling against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru bowlers. And surprisingly, it is Yash Dayal and Swapnil Singh among the wickets. Advantage for RCB at the moment.
If they win tonight then RCB's fans and particularly management will ride this for a full season xD. After all, mighty Sunrisers are sweating against the weakest bowling lineup and that too at home game.

The match looks done and dusted to me but I won't mind if someone spanks Siraj for a 40-ish run spell.  Grin
