Hi Giancarlo,

I am sure that is just an honest mistake, thats why i will show you in detail, why i am 100% certain that there is an error on you side.

Well, that's basically what Giancarlo said: Servers are upgraded, more than one database active, there will be short-term discrepancies in the numbers. Hold still for one, two days, until it's all migrated.
There's a sheduled downtime exactly for this, you see:
Quote
Our platform will be migrated the 19th of December, at 16:00 GMT, for a downtime of 30 minutes. Thank you for your comprehension.

So, I take the freedom to answer this: Hold still, things will be resolved shortly.

Ente

thats what i would have done, but he answered me and said that nothing is wrong. And that is simple false. I just want an answer saying that indeed something is wrong with my account and that it will be fixed when the servers synch.

Ah, okay, I see your point. They will sort this out.

Danke für den Service!

[..]
As such, we are not operating inside China, the accounts in the Shanghai special economic zone are off-shore, therefore technically outside China.  Aside from that we also have accounts in Hong Kong, with most of the funds, so operations will not be affected by changes in China.

..sounds pretty definite to me ;-)

Can we get a definitive answer bitfinex weren't affected?

That is, China government and their central bank did not ask you guys to return money to your customers.

Thank you

On several occasions recently it seems my orders to the Bitstamp exchange didn't get place ... once for about 20 minutes as I watched the market frequently trade through my price. I love BFX, but the site is flawed and traders need to stay on their toes.

Bitfinex is HK based, and not directly affected by mainland regulatory position re: deposits and withdrawals. Yet.

Did you see your order in the list/orderbook? Don't forget the fees of 0.12% and 0.35% respectively on BitFinex and BitStamp. Sounds little. But at 700$, 0.35% is 2.45$. This makes the 680$ order into a 677.55$ order in the orderbook..
Well, at least my orders were always executed when the price was met.

Is localbitcoins broken? I tried to find traders for cash transfers. When i want to contact him i have to set up values. BTC or EUR in order to proceed. But when i do this i get told i dont have bitcoins at localbitcoins address. Even though i want to exchange cash...

I only did cash trades, and always had sufficient BTC on the site, to be able to react quick.
However, localbitcoins state themselves that you are free to do transactions without the site, directly. You then don't have 1% fee. That only makes sense when you don't have to have the bitcoins on the site..
Weird. I believe their mailsupport is quicker than waiting for a reply in this thread.

/account/api
"To revoke your API key, click here"

This might be a bug. I don't think I created an API key.  And if I didn't create one, there shouldn't be one by default.

I don't have any API keys there. Never created one, never deleted one.
You better find out what's going on there? Delete the key, change your PW?

You are doing it wrong.

the loan interest rates are so low now. seems like supply is way more than demand and nobody is borrowing. inflation?  Tongue Grin

Na, only a little time ago, summer maybe, rates were around 30% p.a., les than 0.1% per day. This now is still quite high, flash rate at 0.4177%. Too high for my taste ;-)

this few days, themarket liquidity here is kinda low, place an order for hours and never get filled.
also sometime the place order buttons are not working, have to keep clicking several times or refresh the web page. anybody feel that?

What do you mean? BitFinex is connected to Bitstamp, the exchange with the highest volume (in USD) of all of them existing. The whole Bitcoin market has only so much depth.. Especially after large movements, it takes a while for the offers to regrow in the cleared out priceband.

I didn't have any buttons not working for weeks on the new interface. However, I have to refresh after closing loans to see the "unused reserved funds" being updated. Besides that, everything is smooth.

When will Bitfinex add DOGE? DOGE would make a GREAT addition to BTC and LTC at BFX!

It's very script, has many coin, very riches for all.

I've ordered a dual-core DOGE miner yesterday, you can see a picture of it here: https://i.imgur.com/qZU4U7M.gif

So.. so very coin!

Again a new lending bug:

I don't know what is happening, but your autolending feature is trying to loan with a fucked up rate.

I have autolend @ 0.88% / 30 days.

BUT it opens new loans at 0.274% for 12 months. That is inacceptable.... (I thought 365 days loans are not even possible?)

I don't understand what you are arguing. You do have your asked 0.88%/30days, in fact the loan you have is better in both ways: you pay a third interest only, and you may have it running longer than those 30 days. Of course you are free to close a loan at any time you like. So, close it in 30 days if you wish?

Ente

You missunderstood me. I am the lender, not the borrower. If i indeed was the borrower, it would be nice, yeah! Smiley

Lol whoops, now that indeed does make a difference! ;-)
Don't worry, your money isn't gone, it's just that someone else has it.
SCNR, BitFinex team to the rescue?

Another question: Is there any way to see the current interest rate on a position? On the old interface it was visible.

http://bfxwiki.everdot.org/HOWTO_see_the_current_interest_rate_on_a_position_and_change_loans

Thanks for trying ;-)
Yes, I can easily see the interest of every single loan. I'd like to see the average, effective interest of the whole position, like I could in the last interface. I'd rather not export the list of all loans to openoffice and let it calculate the effective interest by weight-adding all individual interests ;-)
Heck, I can even still see that summed-up effective interest rate percentage when I log into the classic version.
And, by the way, I got used to the new interface faster than I thought.
Now let's get used to the new interest rate denomination..

How come the swap isn't being charged when the system is searching for a loan on a margin position?  It took the system almost 1 hour to find a loan for a position, and during that time no interest was charged in the swap.

The other day, out of no where when i had no positions open the last few days, I get charged $14.  Was that for some interest from several days ago?  If so, why is it not being charged immediately.

It sometimes takes a little while to update the numbers, from my experience.

Another question: Is there any way to see the current interest rate on a position? On the old interface it was visible.
