Till now I don't see Australia making 300+ runs but if they don't lose any wicket till the 20th over, Pakistan should be under pressure as they don't have great batsmen to chase so many runs (despite them doing so in earlier games but this is Australia). Current RR is 5.5 which is reasonable.
To win this match safely Australia will be heading to 300+ runs no doubt. Considering the current situation if they do not lose quick wickets then they can even go for 350+ runs :-D Have you seen the match between India and Australia. Australia started very good in match even condition favorable to bowlers, for me Australia will win this match.

I would not say it 90%, would go with 70-80%, have you forgotten what have PAK done with England? AUS is far better than England but that doesn't ascertain thaat they will win.

I guess Virat may come in Dhawan's position and Pant will be in Virat's or KL's but not sure. Dhawan's performance is not consistent but he will be missed definitely. NZ match is crucial.
I am expecting a win against New Zealand and I hope they do. India is a strong team and they are capable of handling any situation. If Kholi goes to open then I do not see any problem. Pant is more of middle or late middle order batsman. |

Rishabh Pant deserved a place in the initial squad and if it was my choice then I would have picked him over Dinesh Karthik anytime. Anyway, as we say, better late than never. But it needs to be seen whether he will be able to gain a place in the final XI. He is a very entertaining batsman, and I hope that the team management will give him enough chances to showcase his talent.
The only thing lacks in Pant is his irresponsible behavior in the wicket. He gets too excited to hit the balls forgetting the match situation. He can be a good finisher but he does not care that much about it. May be Indian management wanted to give him time to realize his finishing skills. Overall he is a good asset and I would like him to be in the squad. |

Breaking news: sikhar dhawan ruled out for 3 weeks due to thumb injury ( in match against Australia) Reports are coming in that Rishab Pant can get a chance.

It's confirmed now sikhar's thumb injury looks serious if he's out then it's big blow for India. And his replacement is Rishab Pant.
Hope he recovers soon. Shikhar was not in good form all this while except for the Aus match where he played extremely well. They are bringing in Rishabh Pant (as per the reports) so am not so positive about it. Rohit has played extremely well so hopefully that balances things here. Dhawan is inform batsman and he will be missed if he can not play match however this will be interesting to see Pant in the squad. Question is, in which position they are going to put him to bat? Rohit is doing extra ordinary job. Will the change position for KL? No change in situation. Still raining steadily in Bristol. Mel Jones tells us on the broadcast that the forecast is also pretty grim. But SA will want to think how did they lost those 3 matches and due to this they might even be out of the WC now.
I do not think South Africa has any hope left. They have a match left against Australia and team like Australia is not going to let them win. I see in the South Asia/Asia, these crypto things are taking as a threat for the Government. I heard those government puts their own interest over their citizens. May be they don't want their citizens to become free. |
