821  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you guilty of promising not to gamble for specific days but back next day on: June 23, 2023, 04:14:59 PM
I did it many times back when my addiction is very high, I promise not to gamble after I lose a big amount I even swear that I will not, but the following day I'm back even promising to be better and not lose a big amount again.

How many of us are guilty of this?
Welp! Me too. I've once become an addict and this is a very common scenario to me. It turns to the point that I myself don't even believe in my own words. Being addicted to something really makes us lose our self control. I remember that I lost multiple times because of just promising myself to stop playing but I still keep playing until I lose so much money. I believe that having weak self control will head you towards being an addict. I'm just amazed on how much I evolved from being no self control to having a pure control of my gambling status right now.
822  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Between futures trading and gambling on: June 23, 2023, 03:25:33 PM
Less risky? I guess it depends on the knowledge of the reader on how much he will weight the risk of doing futures trading and gambling. I personally stopped doing futures trading because I suck doing it and I experience consistent loss on it compared to gambling that I have strategies and experience to somehow able to win consistently. If spot trading and gambling is the topic, it's an easy answer, It would be spot trading because it's rare to see a portfolio going to zero because even if you are in loss, you still have an asset to cut that loss.
823  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buy ETH as much as you can.... on: June 22, 2023, 03:49:50 PM
There is no point in investing small amounts in ETH. People come to cryptocurrencies for big income, but Ethereum won’t greatly increase the funds of investors, the capitalization is too large
High stakes, high rewards. Investing in a solid project like ethereum really put you on a safer side compared to other altcoins given that it has a solid community, established product and in a good track. If you want a your investment to multiply like crazy, investing on new projects that have a lot of uncertainty is the way. New projects has a lot of space to multiply their price if they become successful but the risk beside it, knowing that you invest on a new project that has no proven tracks is just so risky.
Sinasabayan pa nila ng business and investment which is necessary if may funds ka na at gusto mo tuloy tuloy ang pag unlad mo. Marami naman course online na kahit nasa bahay kalang is magagawa mo matutunan yun, marami na ring investment guides online. Halos lahat ay matututunan mo if may pag sisikap at determinasyon ka matutunan ang gusto mong path sa buhay.
825  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HODL or not? BTC investors need to rethink their strategy as on: June 22, 2023, 02:38:08 PM
The supply of illiquid BTC has continued to increase in Q2 2023, showing the opposite relationship to the price. BTC's recent pump to 30k caused a dramatic shift in investor sentiment. Bitcoin's sluggish growth over the last month coupled with legal action against the top exchange, has significantly dampened investors' appetite for trading. When FUD hit the market, most long-term investors started taking coins off exchanges to support self-custody.

With these changes taking place, investors may need to reconsider their strategies, considering the extent to which these factors can affect price movements and their profits. Risk evaluation and portfolio management are becoming increasingly important aspects in this dynamic market condition.
I guess it is the common reaction you will expect from majority of investors when a FUD hit the market. Even me, if I have some assets on an exchange, I will instantly decide to withdraw that and put it into my wallet as a safety precaution of what might happen next. Everyone are just scared that they might be a victim, just like what happened to those who are affected on the FTX scandal before. The volatility is always there and always be, the FUDs like these are just one of the factors that is boosting that volatility.
826  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Casinos Go Bankrupt Because of Player Wins? on: June 22, 2023, 10:28:08 AM
For the established casino, I believe no. They are ready for problems like this, I've saw some post before about the casino negotiating with the gambler for a massive withdrawal. The casino is trying to do multiple payment so that they can still function normally. There are also casino precaution like max wins, if a gambler hit a massive win, the gambler can only withdraw the maximum amount on that certain spin or bet. A new casino who has a small bank roll are typically the one who is prone of bankrupt this is why most of the high rollers choose establish casino because they know that the big wins they can potentially have can be supported by the casino funds.
827  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever felt remorse after gambling? on: June 22, 2023, 10:00:40 AM
The gambler that has learned to control themselves will have a larger number of winning sessions as they will know when to stop gambling when they are ahead, while those that let their greed take control of them will keep gambling hoping to get even more money, only to realize that the longer they gamble the more their results will begin to resemble every single other session they had on the past, and then the luck they were so proud will abandon them and their loses could reach very high levels in a relatively short amount of time.
And that is when you actually feel remorse when you have managed to win a specific amount of money over your initial deposit that you could easily withdraw but you don't do it because you become greedy and want to turn that amount into something bigger, but what happens is that you lose what you've earned so far and a part of what you had deposited as well, and then you feel so bad that it is an emotion unexplainable.

That is why it is very much important to have some control over yourself when you are gambling because it takes no time for the time to turn against you and at one moment you are at the top of the house and at the second moment, the house gets over you and takes back whatever you've earned so far.
Those that have no self-control should seriously consider to never gamble again, after all despite the self-exclusion policies of a casino there are many gamblers out there which have found a way to skip those procedures and they can start to gamble all over again, and when something like this is so easy to do then it should not surprise us to see several gamblers which cannot help themselves and they keep gambling to the point that if they do not correct their actions then the losses they will suffer one day will be massive.
Having no self-control put you in a greater risk of being a gambling addict. Though if you have no self-control, considering to stop is possible but if you had a thought of playing gambling again, a people with no self control will still play despite the promise you did for your self. Having no self control is one of the traits of an addict but it doesn't mean they are an addict right away. A massive loss is expected especially if you are really into gambling and I think it's normal given that even big gainers experienced the same thing on their gambling careers.
828  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Difference between pi and bitcoin on: June 21, 2023, 04:38:43 PM
Hello guys,I learnt that pi network is a crytocurrency that is beneficial in the community ecosystem that you can mine with,I want to know their clarified differences and if the pi network and bBTC does same functions.

Pi is only beneficial to the team and not for the community. To be honest, just don't believe the absolute non-sense of this Pi coin. It's been proven along time ago that this is just worthless as it gets. So many threads have been made and people here won't change their perception against Pi. You will see what we are talking about when they somehow manage to put their token into the market but don't wait for that to happen since it will be hard or impossible for them to release the version of their token that where mined by the public.
829  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I Want to Trade My House for Some Bitcoins. on: June 21, 2023, 03:39:29 PM
If it is your primary address or passed down to you by your parents. I think selling is not a good choice but if it is a disposable asset like you buy and sell houses, I think it is ok since you treat bitcoin as an investment. If I'm on the situation that I need to dispose of something this valuable, I would probably sell it for cash and buy bitcoin slowly on certain prices to maximized the profits I can get when the day bitcoin became bullish again.

We have saw stories like this before and those who don't sell and is in the right mind to hold and wait for the growth, they win and make a lot of profit from the very big risk they made.
830  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The madness of gambling addicts. on: June 21, 2023, 03:08:31 PM
A Shanghai man was sentenced to prison for kidnapping his own granddaughter so he could maintain his gambling addiction with the ransom money...........................

OMG... I never thought there would be news like that, a grandfather kidnaps his grandson to ransom money to play gambling. This is crazy, I didn't expect anyone to have such thoughts.

It turns out that gambling can not only waste money, but can also destroy families. Even this incident was carried out by a grandfather with the age of 65 years?

What was the grandpa's motive, I thought he could ask his son for money, or maybe his family didn't care about that grandpa anymore because he wasted his money playing gambling. He had lost his mind. He should be enjoying old age and playing with his grandchildren, now he has to feel the cold of prison. I think this is a lesson, so that no one loses their minds when gambling. Gambling is a game of stakes, but never put everything on the line for gambling. Don't risk family relationships for the sake of gambling
In other words gambling can destroy a person's life.
I only hope that with threads like this and with discussions about the evils of gambling addiction, it will warn all gamblers, especially novice gamblers, not to visit gambling too often because the habit of visiting gambling can also be addictive.
The story the Op wrote I hope to provide some awareness to other gamblers.
It's not just gambling but almost all of things that you can addicted to that cost a lot of money to maintain is dangerous and one example of it is drugs. Being addicted to something that you can't maintain is dangerous. Depending on your mind condition, you will think of the unimaginable like this grandfather did to his grandchildren. It's crazy to see someone who kidnapped his grandchild just to continue his addiction. I hope no one in this forum really consider this situation just to continue your gambling vices.
831  Economy / Gambling / Re: l0tt0.com on: June 21, 2023, 02:28:09 PM
You have an interesting game not gonna lie but I personally don't like the UI or the design of the casino. A 8bit concept design is I think good to other platform or application such as games but for a casino? I don't think so. It's my personal take on the design. About the launching, I think you did a good move. A new casino that has an interesting game, it's pretty interesting and addition to that, I heard that you launched your own signature campaign? That's the good move.
832  Economy / Gambling / Re: is KYC data on Gambling sites safe? on: June 21, 2023, 01:57:07 PM
So many of the casinos that do claim that they are Bitcoin casinos and still ask for KYC from there customers are missing the information in a big way that Satoshi Nakamoto dropped in the whitepaper.

Cryptocurrency is meant to be decentralized and should not be after the identities of gamblers who use there casinos. Big gamblers that know the effect KYC could pose in there privacy status will never agreed to use KYC casinos.
True, but it's very difficult for crypto gambling sites to offer complete anonymity due to regulators breathing down their necks all the time which is why they enforce KYC which is understandable upto a certain extent.

Crypto gambling sites should only ask for KYC for big amounts and if they legitimately suspect the customer without mandatorily enforcing it.
Yep, as far as I know to our situation, Big casino only collects KYC gamblers who withdraw big amounts or multiplied their capital that triggered stake and those who are flagged on suspicious activities ofcourse. This doesn't change that fact that they still collect KYC from their customer but at least they don't collect to all especially for those who just want to try playing on their casino. it's logical since no one would really try playing on a casino that request a KYC up front.
833  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you lose on slots? on: June 19, 2023, 03:56:42 PM

1. I see that I've lost more money than I could easily afford to lose. Just a bit more, and I stop.

2. If I win a good amount, more than 50x of my bet, I stop for the day, right away.

I agree with your first point as that can be very dangerous if people continue to go further south and the risk of addiction is exactly there.While for the second point I found it very difficult for me to just quit for 50x my bet but if your bet is big enough then I may agree with it too,personally when I play if I don't hit over x1500 my bet it is very difficult for me to stop,I do not play for x50 my bet as that is not substantial amount for me because I play with lower bets,usually the minimum one and with such bet I need at least x1500 multiplier in order to consider it a good day and a good win.
For me winning 50x from your capital is a good win for a day. Usually I stop my gambling session if I hit 10x of my initial capital. I don't have capital that you can consider big but making it 10x is where I find a satisfaction and I'll wait for my next gambling session to come. I don't play slots usually that's why I don't experience such big multiplier profits. Even if you have a $1 as a capital and won x1500, for me it's big enough to not gamble for a week and enjoy the money to something. I also don't see myself staying that long in making a x1500 win. Maybe we have different standards on the minimum to take home.
834  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: We are about to enter altcoin season, what do you think? on: June 19, 2023, 02:17:55 PM
Historically it is like that. It was like a repeating moment. But cryptocurrencies are volatile. Uncertainty is a sure thing here. Maybe altcoin season is coming but I have seen that this year we can't go back to history.

Some of the altcoins that rank high on CMC are not showing any significant movement in a positive direction. I see that the bull market is still far away.
being high ranked doesn't mean it will be high ranked forever. there are some cases that seemed to show that these high ranked coin just doesn't have the capability to climb back up again because
it was quite literally being abandoned by anyone who wanna invests.
people just prefer investing in newer coins that still have relatively low market capitalisation that just have better potential with disregarding all these formerly high rank coin so couldn't really determine the upcoming
altcoin season based on these high ranked coin, after all there's always change of position.
There are many old top coins that has shared the same fate as this. They can't succeed on climbing back into the ranks again because of the reason that new projects are better and has the modern solution to problems. Basically new coins revised and improve the old coins and the old coins can't catch up with the development of their competitor. Though there are old top altcoins that are still strong till today and competitors can't beat them knowing that they have a full support of their own community.
835  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Questions of the day for gamblers on: June 19, 2023, 01:24:09 PM
Their customers can stay in the casino, but they have to submit documents for KYC purposes or the customer can look for other casinos that do not apply the rules as strictly as that casino. And I think some customers still want to stay and play gambling at the casino even though they are asked to do KYC by the casino because there is a request from the government.

And it's better for a casino that still has many members and, on average, its members are willing to do KYC to pay attention to the security of their customer's data because that is about the trust that customers have given to the casino. If the casino can do that, I think it can attract new customers who want to play gambling at the casino even though they will be asked to do KYC too.

Ensuring the security of personal data is a complex issue, and it is unlikely that any casino will be able to provide it fully. Another problem associated with KYC is the possibility of providing player data to the tax authorities at their request. And the main problem is that anyone who gets access to the player's data will have an idea of his income and use this information for not always righteous purposes.
It's the risk of submitting a KYC on a casino. They have your data now and you will just hope that they won't be hacked or someone pull your data from the casino. There are casino who are using third party companies that collect KYC and store it for them. I don't really trust those company since if a hacker wants to get an information of the masses, it's obvious that the hacker will be targeting a KYC collector or let's say KYC Bank. Majority of the gamblers doesn't want KYC or even submit it but on our today time, It's inevitable unless you will place on a decentralized casino.
836  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Advice when you are going a bit far in gaming and betting on: June 19, 2023, 11:51:24 AM
This is just the basics, but anyone should be aware of it:

Budget: set it BEFORE you start gambling and stick to it.
Have a break from time to time, it is important to let your brain stop and consider.
Avoid drugs / drink as much as possible, they will make you loose some control innevitably.
Seek help if you feel you are no longer in control. Make a phone call to a friend or go out and speak with someone.

Anything else anyone can think of? Like... read this post before gambling? Tongue

When I read this, I had to laugh because one thing came to my mind and that is;
If only someone is under drugs/alcohol influence, they will forget all your tips and do their worse.
The worse thing that can happen to anyone is to gambling under the influence of something.
Be it drug,
Alcohol,
Depression,
Emotional pressure,
Revenge retribution etc

I don't fully understand what you mean with "revenge retribution", but it makes me thing something like when you're not satisfied with your salary and want to get the difference you think is fair via gambling, or about being jealous of the winnings from another person, whether from a friend or some unknown influencer or shitposter who claims to have won a large amount of money, and want to get those earnings too because you deserve them the same or even more than the subject in question.

Please, don't forget to clarify what that concept means so I can understand it better, in case you didn't mean the meanings above (everyday you learn something new).
I guess it's a concept about revenge or a straight revenge on a casino? I googled it and I don't know how he made it as an example. The closest idea I can get from revenge retribution is revenge gambling where you are trying to get back the money that you had lost from the casino at all means by playing and defeating them.

It should be clarified because it's a new term for me actually and I find it hard to connect with gambling. But I'm sure it is bad for the gambler given that the examples shouldn't be done if you will do gambling.
837  Economy / Gambling / Re: How succesful will AI projects be to win the house? on: June 18, 2023, 04:48:59 PM
Since AI is growing gradually, it might take some time for people to see the light in AI and try to follow it. It is already known that AI might be a big problem to us in the nearest tears to come and we need to limit the kind of power we give to artificial intelligence to execute some actions for us.
Artificial Intelligence will replace lazy and useless humans who can't do their work with perfection or even if they do it, they take way more time than required for a specific task, if companies can get work done more efficiently that too at a less price with an AI model, why would they pay a higher amount to a human that will waste the money and the time as well?
~~~~
Well in very advantage there is also a disadvantage, as AI is making work a bit less stressful for people so in same way its actually reliefing some folks of their actual duty due to their incompetence in handling their jobs but the set of people actually affected in this actually beg to think that AI is actually doing them bad by taking their jobs away from them.
AI will no longer take away everyone's jobs, AI will help companies reduce the number of inactive employees by doing that work through AI. Using AI properly requires expertise.
As a result, AI is also creating jobs for many more people, and those who can use AI properly can take advantage of that opportunity. So everything has two sides, good and bad. The actual results will depend on who is using it in what way.
I completely agree with you. It is certain that there are jobs that will be replaced by AI. It will all depends on the people or company who will be using it on how they will utilize our current technology. For now as we are growing in a world that is currently developing AI, there are jobs that are borned but is very limited, we can see jobs in like analyzing if it is a job that AI did based on output and prompt engineers who masters at giving prompts or teaching AI. Casinos should be ready when AI as it's full blown, I'm certain that it will be used against them.
838  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duelbits.com | Casino & Sportsbook | VIP | Instant withdrawals!|ARGENTINA & AVFC on: June 18, 2023, 03:33:50 PM
hello with brave it doesn't work with crome it doesn't work, with von it doesn't work with edge that I never use it works .now everything is ok
best regards
This confirmed that the problem is on your browser setup since you can access the casino with Microsoft edge. Does your other browser is updated the newest version because this might be the case why they can’t load the casino since it uses some flash script to load the games in the casino. Your microsoft edge might be updated to the newest version since windows automatically updates it when you have automatically upgrade feature unlike other browser.
It seems that there are problems in entering duelbits because of browser. It's weird, does this means there are some people who can't access this casino because of their browsers that is not updated? It's a little inconvinient I see. I thought at first that it's a internet provider problem since I have the same case where I can't access various casino because my internet provider blocked it.
Tama lahat ng to kaya maganda magsimula ng maaga habang binata kapa kasi kung may responsibilidad kana mahirap talaga hanapin ang opportunidad lalo na kung may pamilya kang umaasa sayo at wala kang pinagkakakitaang iba dahil mahirap ma pending dahil gutom talaga aabutin mo.
sa ganitong set up usually natatali ang mga kababayan natin sa trabahong ayaw nila pero kailangan nila gawin.
Kaya dapat sa mga bagong sibol ngayon dapat mahing financial literate na sila para umunlad ang kanilang buhay ng di maghirap sa hinaharap.
Agree ako sayo. I assume yung mga opportunity na tinutukoy mo is yung with risk given na hindi magugutom yung tao at yung mga sinusuportahan niya once na mag fail yung ginagawa niya. Pag may umaasa na sayo at marami ka ng responsibilidad ay siguradong hindi mo mabibitawan trabaho mo na nag bibigay ng pang kabuhayan niyo at hindi ka makakapag take risk ng hindi paapektuhan yung mga umaasa sayo. It's hard pero nagagawan ng paraan yun. This is why saludo ako sa mga bata or kabataan na humahusstle sa buhay. Alam nila na kelangan nila gumalaw ng maaga para sa future nila.
840  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Beginners Should Avoid Leveraged Tokens Trading on: June 18, 2023, 01:12:45 PM
Even experienced traders do lose on average on leverage tokens. A newbie should only do spot trading, if a trader is skilled, futures can be considered given that the trader knows what he is doing. Leverage tokens trading is so risky that I didn't bothered trying it after knowing how it works. This kind of trading way isnonly effective on certain market scenario and in our current cycle, I don't think people can gain their expected profits from it. Spot trading would be the recommended in this kind of market scenario.
