841  Local / Pilipinas / Re: 🔥 Bitcoin Accepted Store Spotted 🔥 on: January 21, 2024, 11:17:29 AM
Sana ginawa mong Self Moderated kabayan para mas ma strain mo ang mga dapat lang na post so hindi ma flood or ma spam ang thread mo dito.

Anyway just a confirmation about what you've said here , Tama ka last October eh galing din ako ng Bora , and excited akong makita or masubukang gamitin ang bitcoin ko or kahit aling crypto na meron ako(knowing na may altcoins din silang tatangapin) but to my surprise eh walang kahit isa akong nakita, or siguro hindi lang natin totally nasuyod ang buong isla pero nagtanong na din ako sa mga locals dun yong iba nga halos hindi alam ang existence ng Bitcoin or crypto sa mga establishments nila dun.

842  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think gambling every day is better? on: January 21, 2024, 10:29:40 AM
Everything comes with its own risk, negativity, and positivity at the same time, so for that, we need to be very clear on our own individual standing and what it has a direct impact on us as gamblers, for me, I don't gamble every day and this is because gambling every day will result into alot of negative experience on the long term based my reason is that gambling is not like any other business which requires deliberate consistency to push it to a higher state, but gambling is a risk and its outcomes is always uncertain so for that going so much in a particular direction will effects our positive experience.
For, I don't like gambling excessively because it doesn't work for me and I believe it won't work for many others here too.

Wow, that's good to hear that there's still someone like you who has a responsible mindset when it comes to gambling. Excessive gambling is not that good on your both physical and mental health because it will lead you to obsession, possible debt and huge financial loss if you're not handling yourself in a good way. based on your comment, it seems like you're having a negative past experience in gambling or you have seen different worst experiences from other people that you've known. Well, just continue having that kind of mindset and don't hesitate to share it to other people Wink
843  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who says you can't be a millionaire in sports betting? on: January 21, 2024, 08:34:56 AM
This is a huge success, although I doubt that the player came to this purposefully. I also doubt that man will be able to repeat this success. His best bet would be to stop playing after this win or switch to a more conservative strategy. But we understand that this will not happen. Does anyone believe that the person will be able to keep this winnings? Most likely, this player will continue to bet on games with high odds and low chances of winning and will lose that money. This is a common story that happens to players. In the short term, many of us will have winnings, this is normal. But the paradox is that it is short-term gains that can lead to long-term loss of most of your capital.

you have a point here, winning a huge amount is indeed a very lucky reward and it's rarely to happen, sometimes when you win big, it doesn't come anymore, it's like beginners luck so it's up to you how to manage your winnings. If you're smart enough, you'll become rich, but if you want to continue gambling, possible that the money you've won will run out little by little.

844  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Island in the Philippines. on: January 21, 2024, 06:44:21 AM
I live in neighboring country of Philippines but this is actually the first time I have ever heard of Boracay Island, I have been to Thailand and Vietnam, but I think (at least) for me and my peers we never thought that Philippines as a tourist destination. And if this is actually true that there is an island where most (if not all) of the merchant is accepting Bitcoin, it could attract more tourist, at least from the neighboring country in SEA because from what I know, crypto is huge and keep growing in this area. And this could be a marketing material, since there is not much marketing and ads about Philippines tourism.

Well, you should try to visit in the philippines, there's a lot of tourist places, beautiful island and natural resources  which is worth to visit, even some other Asian people loves to visit boracay. Anyway, since this island is accepting bitcoin payment for their offered services and merchants, there's a huge possibility to attract more tourist especially that some foreign people does have bitcoin as their investments, It could attract tourists in the neighboring country too. That's a good suggestion to have marketing ads about boracay island offers bitcoin as a mode of payment, I hope Aklan government officials will make ads so that the entry of many tourists can be improved
845  Economy / Economics / Re: richdad poordad has no more guide after achieving freedom on: January 21, 2024, 06:07:46 AM
so what is there to do? there is so many scammers out there what is richhdad poordad guide to proceed at this point? is there a handbook for thing like this?
What do you mean by this? is it related to privacy and security? I think not every person want to share 100% of his life and master in everything.

Most of rich people are good negotiators, it's not make sense for them to tell this in public. They might know how to differentiate between scammer and honest person, let's say they judge using body language, when someone did this or that, it's not genuine person and better to avoid such kind person in financial trade.

If they tell this to public, the scammer will learn how to being a genuine person.

that's right, usually with entrepreneurs and rich people, they don't give the full details of how they achieved their dreams and goals in life, Sometimes they don't even share the real reason and they just make up a different story so that other people don't imitate them, Especially now that fraudsters are scattered everywhere especially on social media.

846  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Another question? Tell me your average amount per bet and your monthly income? on: January 21, 2024, 05:21:29 AM
I'm currently just playing casually, my monthly income is only $100 and I bet around $10 in gambling. Maybe you know that my income from gambling is not that big because the capital I give is also not that big, there's not much I can hope for.

Well that's good to know, At least you are able to manage your finances and you have alloted amount for your gambling session, $10 is enough especially that you are gambling casually, and about your gambling income, There's no need to worry about how much you take home from gambling especially since you don't play daily and the capital you've set to yourself is low but enough for your sessions. Also, it's better to follow what you're used to, so you don't end up being addicted in gambling.
847  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Patience can help alot on: January 21, 2024, 04:12:49 AM
Indeed, sometimes impatient people always take the wrong action, such as decisions that are too hasty and usually what they do is not appropriate and making inappropriate decisions will cause harm to ourselves. It is important for someone to keep control of their thoughts so that they don't too quick to take action and think about it without having to rush, patience is the key to someone being able to control themselves and their thoughts so they can prevent anything detrimental, feelings of anxiety will always be there for those who gamble but the most important thing is we have to stay calm never get emotional about any outcome that happened.

And it's true, as OP said, gambling games are not something that can be endured by people who have low patience. It's not easy to apply patience when we are hit by emotions due to defeat, but if we can be patient and control ourselves we won't make decisions who are too reckless. Even though gambling is a game where victory is uncertain, but if played with patience we will not experience big losses due to stupid actions.

sometimes having short patience will bring us down, because we can no longer think properly and we are too hasty in what we do, When you are gambling or for example it is about investment, we need to take a long patience, but it depends, sometimes because there are times when it helps to have a short patience especially when you know that the decision you are going to make is worth it.
848  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your state on mind if your son stole your money to gamble? on: January 21, 2024, 03:22:12 AM
I think it is definitely my own fault if I couldn't teach my son to not steal money from people, especially family. Kids should be taught to care a lot about their families in my opinion. That's how I was disciplined by my boomer father. He deserved respect and love. My son should also show me respect. I wouldn't mind his gambling habit tho. I would give him advice to budget his gambling money. Also I would tell my son how hard to earn money in life so if he wants to gamble he should be earning his own money first. But stealing part is very bad.
Same sentiments here! It feels like It is really my own responsibility to guide and to teach my own child a good manners and right conduct, especially not everything can be taught in school and all the values of a person must be learned inside the house and the people around them. While still young, they should be guided on the right path to keep them away from bad deeds.
849  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The PCSO Lotto is shrouded in doubt due to the picture of the winner shown on: January 20, 2024, 11:14:55 PM
Well, PCSO just admitted that photo was intentionally edited for security purposes but the only problem here is that the editor seems too confident of what he did to that photo that draws the whole nations attention. It's like removing the background of the main photo and then changing it with another one. As a result it looks funny can create doubts. 😅

Yup! That was aired on the news the last time, funny to think that they have a lot of money but can't afford to hire a professional digital and photo editor, even a high school student nowadays can even edit clearly than their editors. Seems like they don't have one, knowing that they are one of the richest governement agency. They literally make fun of themselves, I don't know if it's intentional so that they can be talked about more on social media or what. Well, until now most Filipinos still don't believe that there is a winner of the winning jackpot prize because if there is, it will resonate on social media and everyone will recognize who the winner is.
850  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The worst situation you're in that you regret that you learn about gambling on: January 20, 2024, 10:36:01 PM
I was talking to a friend who used to be a compulsive gambler and is now a responsible gambler and I asked him what made him decide to be rehabilitated is it because of the money, he said its not.

It was because of the situation that he was in and that a friend asked him to keep his money it was his saving and he was about to buy a new cell and he only needed a week to complete the money and he didn't keep it in the house he might use it so he decided to entrust the money to him because his friend had complete trust on him.

Unfortunately because of his addiction, he was tempted to use the money to gamble thinking that he could double the money and give his friend a share so he could buy a more expensive cellphone, unfortunately, he lost the money and surprisingly his friend showed up and asked for the money the day after he loss the money.

He has no choice but to tell the truth, his friend does not know that he is a gambler so to forgive him for what he did his friend asks him to undergo rehabilitation, he was so embarrassed that he regrets learning about gambling, and thankful that because of his friend he was rehabilitated.

What's a similar case that you're in that made you regret that you learned gambling?

Your contribution is appreciated.

Personally, I haven't experience having worst situation when it comes to gambling but I just want to share the experience of one of my closest person. One of the things I remember is the time when all the money he saved was used up as well as the money for his business because his friends asked him to go to a casino. He admitted to his family that he knows how to gamble but he never thought that he would become addicted to it and lose his hard earned money in just one snap.
He came to the point where he almost committed suicide due to depression and he didn't know where to get money because he had used up all of it in gambling. His debt also increased so he decided to apply for a job in another country. That was his escape. that served as his rehabilitation and until now he has really stopped gambling. His life has improved and he has recovered from the bad situation he experienced. He regretted gambling but he was also thankful because if he hadn't experienced that, he might not have learned from his mistakes.
851  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Making too many picks reduces chances of winning. on: January 20, 2024, 07:21:00 PM
I definitely agree this. There will always be millions of variables that will change outcome/result of game. When you add one more game to your betting coupon, you add millions more on top of it. In my opinion its best to bet on lowest number of games gambling company will allow. For example gambling monopoly in my country, sometimes allow coupons to have 1 big game or 1 big/1 small game (big game means derby in general). So winning chance is greater.

Seems like playing Lottery in our country, everytime you buy a ticket, you've also add more amount on the top of winning prize, that's why many people here is eager to place so many picking numbers and lotto cards as long as they are capable to buy so. to be honest, people who have only one ticket in their possession are easily to win even if the prize is not that big,  than those who bet a lot of cards and in the end, only one will win the winning jackpot prize
852  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you care about what people say about you gambling? on: January 20, 2024, 12:01:51 PM
Caring for what other people says about you for anything and not just gambling is an old mentality which people with complexes have.I don't care what other people say about me as I am living my life enjoying what I do and what other people say does not concern me at all.I may be happy gambling all day in a physical casino and people would perceive it differently, they will say he is a loser while I am enjoying myself so who cares what people say.
It is a difficult thing to not care what people say about us, they will continue to weaken mentally until dawn, I agree with you,  you are ignorant and don't care about what people say. this needs to be imitated and learned how to not care about what people say. I've tried, but I always think about what people say until I stop playing gambling a few years ago. That made me no longer excited to watch or sit on a bet chair. But, it's no longer, I finally decided to start again after my friend support me.

actually it is quite important to listen to what someone says about us. but it would be better if only the closest people know about our gambling activities such as family, relatives, and friends. other than that I will not tell you more about my gambling activities. because it will only make noise.
if those who say to stop are family, it's also good to listen to what they say, but not to stop completely, just limit our movements when playing gambling so as not to overdo it. maybe that's all.
Sometimes, we don't need to listen to what other people say because their comments to you will become your basis in yourself,it's hard to listen and trust what other people say because we don't know what their intentions are when criticizing you, their judgement may be good or bad but at It's better if you will listen to your family and closest one who knows you better and wants to improve yourself in life, for real.
853  Local / Pamilihan / Re: 1xbet Scamming Pilipino sportbettors on: January 20, 2024, 11:25:52 AM

854  Economy / Economics / Re: Logic of life on: January 20, 2024, 10:38:01 AM
Thats a wrong calculation. For the hardwork we've done, we'll be rewarded. Same as that for what we have done in a smartway we were able to reap the rewards. This doesn't mean only based on the knowledge one have got, the person gets rich or leads the regular life. Based on what you've mentioned what will you say a person who had won big jackpot and turned rich. Her doesn't have any knowledge, all that he did is just bought few tickets. So, knowledge is required to make life better, but that doesn't mean only with knowledge one can be rich.
The harder you work, the higher your income will be. No logic can bring you good income if you can't work hard. There is no substitute for hard work to earn good income. Even those who own very big companies and live very luxurious lives did not reach their positions without hard work. So if you can work hard then you can increase your income multifold or even thousands of times and live a luxurious life.
But there is "work smart," or the saying "work smart, not work hard." The thing is, working harder than you do cannot always be the case or the key to more income or success. Yes,  it can be one of the factors, but not for all people. For example, in a poor family, no matter how hard the members work, they are still in their position. Why? It's because working hard doesn't mean more money at all times; the salary is fixed, or worse, they don't have a stable income even though they work harder and harder. That's where "work smart" comes in, meaning that while working hard, of course, you also need your knowledge so that you can find a way to earn more than you can. You can use your skills and wise thinking so that even if you are not going to work harder and harder, you can earn more because you know how to crack the system of this world.
Apart from working hard and working smart, we will get maximum income, but we also have to have good financial management, because no matter how big our income is without good management it will be useless. This is closely related to a person's lifestyle, we can see rich people who live simply, so that their wealth accumulates and grows continuously because they have good financial management.
Exactly! I know a lot of people who have had similar experiences, they have a higher income from their work and businesses but they are still struggling with their budget and savings, one of the reasons is that when their income increases, their expenses increases too, which is one of the wrong way of handling your finances. Financial management is crucial especially if you have a lot of expenses and bills that's need to pay.
855  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to manage gambling winnings on: January 20, 2024, 09:54:13 AM
Making gambling win is not a easy work. People see gamblers earning they make easy money they make a lot money in one day. After all they think that gambling is a easy work . Nha buddy if you wanted to be a successful gambler then you need dedication proper  stragul practice. After a long time practice makes you perfect in it.

gambling should not supposed to call as work because it is not and not advisable to treat as a work. Gambling is not all about making money and winnings, So don't just believe in hearsays. Gambling is not that easy, even if other people called it as an easy money but for me, it's not an easy money if you count the hours and money wasted during the time you were always experiencing defeat, Contrary on what you've said, If you really want to be a successful gambler, it's not all about your dedication and having a perfect strategy, it's all about how you responsibly handle yourself and how to prevent yourself in being a gambling addict.
856  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does it bother you when dealers change during play? on: January 20, 2024, 09:32:51 AM
I tried some live blackjack recently and on certain providers for tables like Evolution it kinda bothered me how often dealers would change.
Just when you get used to the flow a dealer has, how they announce cards and bet times, they would change. I have no idea based on what principle dealers will go sit on another table, but it doesn't seem very standard.
I'd certainly prefer the dealers I've come to like to stay a bit longer but I also have to say that all the dealers are doing a good job so in the end the game still continues to run smoothly.

Oftentimes when dealers change in a table I see most people leave the table. Perhaps that's because so many people think that their luck is somehow associated with the dealer. And people leaving the table is another annoying thing because times can completely change from what you had gotten used to.

What are your thoughts on this? Do you mind when dealers in your table change? Or does it not bother you at all?

I've never tried playing blackjack but is that possible? you aren't done playing then suddenly switching dealers? I know that there are some basic casino etiquette that are called, they can't leave in front of you until you've finished your session. If that happens to me, it will really break my focus on the game, I can't explain how but I will ruin the momentum in the game especially if you're in the middle of winning while your dealer is leaving.
One of the reasons I see why the dealer trading places, is that they may handle their loyal customer, you know? there are instances like that, or they may be the requested dealer of a player.
857  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bitcoin, pangalawa sa pinakamalaking ETF. Nilagpasan ang Silver on: January 20, 2024, 05:22:07 AM

858  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mental rehabilitation clinic. on: January 19, 2024, 09:32:18 PM
Getting helped for gambling addictions is one thing that comes with a lot of resistance and confrontation from the addict himself, and for that, if you want to help anyone in terms of help, it becomes very important to take note of the individual willingness to get helped from that addictions.

Because if the addict himself is not willing to get treated, it will becomes impossible for him to get treated even if there is a formal treatment clinic for his case, this is because he will develop a resistance against that treatment, but if he knows the effects of his addictions on his overall well being, he will then learn to adjust inline with the treatment so it an individual thing before third party help.
The majority of addicted gamblers are vengeful because they want to reverse their losses and also greedy because they want to win again even though they have already won. We must know that gambling addicts are not good, and should be avoided because negative things will impact us and become financially negative.

Even if you are already a gambling addict, I don't think you need to go to a clinic, doctor, and so on. You only need to get closer to your closest family and the environment around you because this way people can usually treat addiction, because there is no doctor's prescription for addiction, but to treat it there must be support from family and people you love.

Gambling addicts are indeed influential but it's up to you if you want to become like them, actually you don't have to totally avoid them as if they have contagious disease because what they have is improper thinking and uncontrollable mindset about their spending in gambling. If you are having an addiction, one way to know how to treat yourself is by consulting professionals because they are the one who knows what will you do or what medicines you need to take, I understand that some people doesn't have enough money for consultation that's why I agree with you that a Gambling addict patient should have to be close to their family members and get a verbal and emotional support.
859  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: GAMBLING DISORDER on: January 19, 2024, 12:24:03 PM
How can one control the uncontrollable urge to keep gambling despite the toll it takes on once life.

It's getting worse every day. I'm extremely depressed I have thoughts of unaliving myself more often, some times I feel the betting companies manipulate people spiritually to get them addicted where be playing without plans and strategy. Once a bet place get cut, there is this uncomfortable urge to quickly book another one with the plans of recovering the first money lost but it will end up cutting again.
If you want to gamble in a more comfortable and enjoyable way, then gamble with money that will not make you frustrated and depressed when you lose it. Because in my opinion gambling is just entertainment that can make people have fun while doing it, so you need to have a good mentality and not be easily depressed when you don't win at gambling. So if you still don't feel comfortable and don't feel happy doing it, it's better not to approach gambling, especially if it can make you so addicted to keep trying again without stopping that you don't have time to work anymore.

It's easy to be said, but honestly it's quite difficult if you're the one in the situation, besides when it comes to gambling, we can't deny the fact that sometimes we're going a bit too far in our limitations and take note that if you're a gambler, your mental health is at stake especially if you're currently having or experiencing unusual thoughts and feelings then accompanied by a series of bad luck and gambling losses, your mental health will really be affected so it's better to seek professional help if that happens.
860  Other / Off-topic / Re: Who does gambling addiction affect the most? on: January 19, 2024, 11:44:13 AM
I voted "His immediate family".

Most of gambling addicts aren't aware if they're an addict, that's why there are many gambling addicts out there. Imagine if they aware if they're addicts, surely they will seek for help. Since the gambling addict itself didn't think it's a problem, he can live happily. While his family need to think how to make more money in order to buy monthly needs and pay off debt because he always ask for money to gamble.

Maybe they are totally aware but they can't accept the truth that they are having an addiction towards gambling and even if they are aware, they will act as if they didn't know. Sometimes they don't want to admit to themselves that the things they avoid, happened to them without them realizing it. There are also instances where they don't want to ask for help from other people because they want to solve their own problems first, but are they going to wait for it to get worse? maybe it's better to be proactive while it's early than to end up in a worse situation.
