- Half Life

I kind of see a pattern here...
882  Other / Meta / Re: Is bitcointalk.org slow for everyone or is it just me? on: June 01, 2015, 01:24:13 AM
It was extremely slow a few hours ago. It's back to normal for me, though. Let's not jinx it.  Roll Eyes

I'll be withdrawing from this as I just haven't posted as much in these forums. Thank you for the ride, though.
884  Other / New forum software / Re: The 1.5 million dollar (5067 bitcoin) new bitcoin talk forum. on: May 28, 2015, 02:19:50 AM
I don't really see this excitement among members.
Unfortunately, those coins could have been spent in a better way i think.

Disclaimer: i really like SMF. I don't want to change this.

Note:only thing i'd change is, the hashing of secret answers, maybe a bit more won't be bad for the security.
I lie SMF, I am really used to it, and I am very used to it. I have been on this account for 40 days, which is 960 hours. I do admit the forum is looking very old and in my opinion not the prettiest. I would definitely have to get used to it, but I would rather spend a couple hours getting uesd to it then having to still use the current version.

I know it's old, but l like using this forum software more than the more up to date cryptocointalk software. This software is easier on the eyes and I like the layout better.
I am sure the new forum will have custom themes or layouts. I would be very surprised to find that it doesn't considering how much this is costing.  Roll Eyes
885  Economy / Digital goods / Re: The shortest domains in the world! on: May 28, 2015, 02:17:08 AM
am i only one who thinks that its really overpriced 490 dollars for just a domain is way too much it doesnt mater how long it is

1character domain are really expensive i heard. some went to $1000 in auction
doesnt it depend on what goes after the dot? he sells .gt and if he soled more popular ones they would be worth more i guess

.gt is not very popular. if it was a 1 character .com or co.uk or .fr that would have been in the thousands i think

doesnt matter if its popular or not, its 1 letter domain come one do you think you gonna find 1 letter domain in .com ?
I mean, if you just want to sell it for that amount because of its length, completely disregarding the actual TLD, then you're probably trying to sell it in the wrong place. I could be wrong, of course.
886  Other / Meta / Re: Influx of Hacked Accounts on: May 26, 2015, 02:13:52 AM
I can see how many people are just going to ignore this ever even happened and are not planning to change their password. Sure, it may be hard to obtain the actual password, but it is not impossible either. I am hoping at least the most prominent users will use reason.
887  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: OrcaVPN | DDoS Protected VPN | Fast | Simple | Cheap on: May 21, 2015, 01:23:38 AM
This is too fishy. The cheap price just makes it even more suspicious. I would definitely stay away from these guys because of all the information that they don't provide.
888  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: OrcaVPN | DDoS Protected VPN | Fast | Simple | Cheap on: May 16, 2015, 04:24:47 PM
I gave your site a look and you don't seem to give any information on where the servers are hosted or what your privacy policy is. I also see no terms of service or any equivalent. Am I just missing something? You would probably look more legit if you gave customers easy access to those.
889  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Cryptovpn.me vouchers First come first serve. on: May 14, 2015, 02:52:33 AM
In case you still have one left, I would like to take one. I have been looking for a good VPN service for a while and would be more than happy to rate this one for you. Even if I don't get it, I am expecting to hear about other people's experience with it.
890  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Classic Bitcoin Polls - What is your all time favorite Bitcoin wallet? on: May 14, 2015, 02:10:59 AM
Yep, original works wonders. Why risk it with anything else if Bitcoin-Qt works just fine? I understand others may appreciate the functionality of other wallets, but for those who don't Bitcoin-Qt is and will probably always be the safest option.
891  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] Language Learning Courses on: May 10, 2015, 08:42:29 AM
I assume these courses must have been made by some company. Any information on that? That could save both you and the buyer some time in deciding whether to actually buy it or not. Also, PM'd.

Because the OP wasn't sharing from where the courses are, I was able to track them down myself. They're from a company called Innovative Language Learning, LLC and you can see the courses that the OP is offering here:

http://store.innovativelanguage.com/PC-Software_c_121.html

@OP Sicne in the main psot you said you are selling 10 of these courses for 10$, would you be willing to offer two courses for $2?
Don't even bother. There's a coupon code for that website that you can use without limits to download their stuff completely free. I don't know if that's what OP is "selling" since I didn't buy anything from him, but if it is, he doesn't really have a right to earn money off of it. If you want the code, just hit me up with a PM and I'll give it to you for free.

893  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Random Steam Games $0.4 / KEY on: May 09, 2015, 11:03:30 PM
Hi, when you say random steam games, is there a chance to get ANY game?  Or do they tend to be unpopular ones that sometimes go on 90% off sales?

Sometimes unpopular sometimes popular.

is there a list of games you have right now?

I do not have game names attached to the keys.
Thanks.

Just wondering, has anyone that ordered from this seller received games like CSGO, GTA V, or other popular games?  If so I might go for a couple.
No. He said earlier in the thread not to expect games such as GTA V. As for me, I got 5 games, none of which I knew of before. About 3 of those had kind of bad reviews, but there was one with relatively good ones. I may try them out eventually, but I have not done so yet.
894  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Random Steam Games $0.4 / KEY on: May 07, 2015, 03:38:29 AM
I received the 5 games I bought. They are all definitely worth more than I paid for them, but I wouldn't call them "great" games. Online reviews range from 30 to 70 on metacritic. For whatever reason, OP doesn't want me to say what the games are, so I won't do so.
895  Economy / Exchanges / Re: 2015 Bitcoin Debit Card Reviews on: May 07, 2015, 03:27:57 AM
I can vouch for AdvCash. Their card has been working without issues for a while already. I did not get the physical card because of its cost (I would never really use it at a retail store), but the virtual-only works great.

I lke the service offered by Advcash, just some weird limits & minimum deposits to activate a card etc....

Well, I believe the limits for anonymous users are in place because of local laws regarding not knowing who the customer is. Verification should take care of them, though, but you don't really need to worry about it unless you plan to use it as your main card. If my memory serves, the limit for anonymous users is $2,500.
896  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Your opinions on Online Gambling and Bitcoin on: May 06, 2015, 02:47:10 AM
If people want to burn their money, that's their own problem. Anyone thinking gambling is going to get you somewhere is probably wrong.

this is the reason why we should integrate bitcoin in those games that are more skill oriented and less gambling, at least there if you lose is only because of your skill

Well, bitcoin has to be integrated into more mainstream uses first. Once it gets around to store retailers and online sales with more strength, then it will be time to look into more specific uses such as sports and competitions. Gambling really just took off that fast with bitcoin because it is a legal workaround to something that would be illegal with fiat, nothing else.

So... Are these prices monthly? Daily? Or is that what the warranty is for?

I PMed you a few days ago but had to leave for a while. Check your PMs.
