Fortunately, I only had to pay $75 VAT on an order larger than most.  Of course, being in the USA, I had to route through Canada first which means I ended up paying double shipping and used FedEx ($185 - It was a large box).

- 3 stars

......

thanks,
Bobby

I think I missed it.  I can't find what the 2 star / 3 star means.
883  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [AUCTION] Rare extra-large Bitcoin Block from BTCC Mint, w/ 26+ BTC, NO RESERVE! on: July 06, 2016, 06:35:03 AM
At what value will the coin be declared upon shipping? Will it be the full value or the winning bid minus the BTC contained in the block?

I do not intend to pay 5BTC+ fees upon import so this is quite important to know if I want to join the bidding Smiley

I believe that issue was cleared up a while back.

Expect to pay a vat of winning bid minus 26.033.   Of course the gov/customs can do whatever they want.

Bankruptcy doesn't allow someone to commit fraud (criminal activities).  And, even if it did, these thefts are occurring after the fact.  So, anyone could go after him civilly and criminally as well.

What country and city is this guy in?
UK (I think)
888  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Re: Mycelium Bitcoin Wallet on: June 29, 2016, 04:48:13 PM

Is there a way to determine the size of the transaction in Armory before finalizing its generation? If not, is that something that can somehow be incorporated into the next release (user-friendly) since transaction fees are critical nowadays for a successful transmission?

Armory?  This is a Mycelium thread.
Oops! Sorry, I asked the same question in the Armory thread, copied and pasted it in here but totally forgot to change the wallet name. But yes, I meant to ask the same question with Mycelium.

Not sure you looked, but....
In Mycelium, before you send a specified amount, you can see the tx (miner) fee.  And, you can change the priority if you want to.  It's very user-friendly in that you simply need to click the Miner Fee button to select between the different priorities you want to send at (Low-prio, Economic, Normal, Priority).  The amounts vary based on what you're trying to send.

You saved my ass, omg thanks so much haha. I was in a panic as to why my Cas coin wouldn't work.

No problem.  Glad it worked out for you.  A shame you redeemed a coin though.  Smiley

Hey everyone...I am having problems with finding my coins/tokens from colu. Can't sign-in. The verify email doesn't work when clicked.
Can anyone please point me in the right direction.
Thanks very much  Wink

What is a colu?  This is a mycelium thread.

Okay I will check my account I have been very busy with solar array and with my  kitchen rehab but I have been posting.

and no payment to my account.  I know I am flat rate monthly and a manual payment.

I will check again and send a pm.

I finally gave up after no responses over a month and no payment in 2+ months.

Good luck.

No responses, but congrats to everyone getting paid.
894  Economy / Collectibles / Re: BTCC 1BTC Titanium Coin Redeeming and Casascius Info using Blockchain.info on: June 24, 2016, 05:33:19 AM
Update:
I have received several messages asking about how to redeem (import) in Blockchain.info (using a new wallet since legacy is no problem).  This post is to give the quickest way to accomplish this as there are several ways and then supporting information.

The key under the label (like Casascius) is a 'Mini Private Key'.  (So, this method is the same for Casascius coins and others).
In my case, this is:  SqtVvMgDxWyXMrAdas7PirKQp7YbMz

Step 1 - Convert your mini-private-key to an 'uncompressed private key'
www.bitaddress.org  (Use offline version for safety)
Click on 'Wallet Details'  (You don't have to wait for a random wallet to be created)
Copy in your mini key - example: SqtVvMgDxWyXMrAdas7PirKQp7YbMz
Then click 'View Details'
Copy out the Private Key - example: 5Jkp75Gb3jRLTF7rXJvXJNuM7t1QbX2muMJUh8Pa56qxpaREuck

Step 2 - Blockchain.info
Create a new wallet or use an already made account.
Go to 'Settings', then 'Addresses'
Click on 'Import Address'
Paste in your private key - example: 5Jkp75Gb3jRLTF7rXJvXJNuM7t1QbX2muMJUh8Pa56qxpaREuck

The above is all you need to do.

It's that simple.  of course, you should either move the coins to a more secure address if you want, and then delete the address from your wallet should you choose.
Now for details / issues....

A 'Mini Private Key' can be easily converted to:
wif (compressed): L1NNuoqoH4EQrqKFan7Ejhg3oN8o9MYqC4c9E7ccy6o7Nk9wtU9w
uncompressed:     5Jkp75Gb3jRLTF7rXJvXJNuM7t1QbX2muMJUh8Pa56qxpaREuck
In turn, they are:
Bitcoin address:                      1CCUSKpW6ZNRCYCTurAg3XU8afbk9p9yqx
Bitcoin address uncompressed : 1BaTSwatnqGKsuhfZQYsy4kAgAMfV2g7Kb

Blockchain.info legacy (old wallet) works with the 'Mini Private Key' in that it will import the uncompressed Bitcoin address which is used for coins.
The new wallet, although appears to work, it converts the 'mini-private-key' to wif (compressed) private key and then uses the compressed bitcoin address.

New Wallet: SqtVvMgDxWyXMrAdas7PirKQp7YbMz -->  L1NNuoqoH4EQrqKFan7Ejhg3oN8o9MYqC4c9E7ccy6o7Nk9wtU9w --> 1CCUSKpW6ZNRCYCTurAg3XU8afbk9p9yqx
Old Wallet: SqtVvMgDxWyXMrAdas7PirKQp7YbMz --> 5Jkp75Gb3jRLTF7rXJvXJNuM7t1QbX2muMJUh8Pa56qxpaREuck --> 1BaTSwatnqGKsuhfZQYsy4kAgAMfV2g7Kb

I don't know why Blockchain.info made this change.  This is scary for the person first trying to import/redeem as it appears the bitcoin address on the label doesn't match the private key.  And, google doesn't have results for the difference between Old and New blockchain.info wallets.  Also, blockchain.info doesn't have any supporting information in their help/faq regarding this difference.
Another thing that is a shame is that you can't simply 'sweep' an address in the 'New Wallet' format which you could have in the 'Old Wallet' (legacy) format.

You must be kidding, boy. One billion flies cannot be wrong...

I love it when you can't come up with a good response, so you call me a boy instead.  Funny is as funny does.
- A billion flies?  You should probably clean up a little.

Show me a single error in my post.
Did you even look at the address to see the single payment in 3 months (nearly 3 months ago)?
Something is wrong and no responses, and now offline.

Again, good luck to everyone.

896  Economy / Services / Re: [BIT-X.com] Earn Bitcoins by Posting | Signature Campaign on: June 23, 2016, 04:31:24 PM
is everything working fine in the campaign? sorry im just a bit lazy to read up on the last few pages, i was just coming back to update my signature.

I don't want to be a party pooper, but...
marco hasn't been active in over a week. (June 15, 2016, 08:46:15 AM)
I can't get him to respond to a month of messages.

I was paid once (.01) 04/01/16 and nothing since.
I have been advertising this for over 3 months now.
System had me in it, and now says I am not and no available spots.

I am very disappointed in a campaign that has paid .01 for nearly 3 months and no responses.

I will be changing my sig line today, maybe a screen shot, and debating on leaving negative trust.
Good luck to the rest of you.

By the way.

I have 4 codes to sell.

0.2 btc for all

0.65 et 0.30 for 5btc coin and 0.85 and 0.5 for double 5btc coin bundle.

To get part of my tva back Wink

Buyer send first. Ask btc address via pm  Wink

Are these the coupon codes that were sent to others?

Also, can they be stacked.  If so, I would take them.
(Stacking would be the requirement)
