882  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Tataas Kaya Ang Awareness Ng MgaTao Sa Bitcoin Kung May Mga Billboard on: January 16, 2024, 12:10:20 PM

Kagaya kay Xian Gaza before, nakakapag pabillboard dahil may pera tapos cinocontent, for the clout chase lang, so baka pwede natin syang gawing sponsor, joke.

884  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Another question? Tell me your average amount per bet and your monthly income? on: January 16, 2024, 11:30:27 AM
Hello gamblers, this is a kind of survey aimed at getting to know my fellow gamblers better, particularly in the context of sports betting. I would like to know your average bet amount and your monthly income.

You don't need to provide exact figures; an estimate would suffice. Through this discussion, we can assess whether we are being too aggressive in our gambling habits or if we are playing it safe with our bets.

For my monthly income, it ranges between $570 to $650, a normal above minimum salary range in our country  and the alloted amount for my gambling activity is around $50 but it depends to my budget since I'm doing gambling when I have my free time and If I have extra penny and As per my own observation, I can say that I am playing it safely because I can manage well my gambling allowance and I know when to stop especily if I feel that I'm going a little bit far in my betting limitation.

Same here. It's crucial to set limits and manage your budget wisely, especially with activities like gambling. Knowing when to stop is a responsible approach.

Yup! Especially that there's a lot of things that we need to prioritize aside from gambling, though that's not even a part of my priorities but still we need to manage our spending habits even if it cost a little amount. Having a normal salary pay, honestly it's kinda difficult to balance the needs and wants because everything is so expensive nowadays, so if you can't balance your salary, and only some part of it goes to the least important things, you might be surprised that you will run out and end up in debt.
885  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling by financial dependents. on: January 16, 2024, 10:34:23 AM
Once he's hook to gambling it would be difficult to change, so as early as possible they should cut everything like allowance, should be monitored, also ask their son to find a job if he's still studying the good thing about that is he will learn that earning money is not as easy as it look, and might realize that gambling is bad thing to do, or let him gambling but never give them money let him earn what he spend.

Yup, And even if they say that a person is 18 years old, in other countries that is legal age but if in our country where 18 years old's  still need the guidance of parents and other adults. Sometimes, when we are too relaxed with them, they abuse the kindness of their parents, so it is better to cut off the bad work and attitude as early as they know. It is a good idea to teach them how to make money in a good way, Just find a job so they know that money should not be used for trivial things, especially vices, But perhaps when they learn to commit their own money they will be more motivated to gamble because they have an excuses for their parents when they are told about their gambling.
886  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's The Weirdest Alibi Of Gamblers So They Can Continue Gambling? on: January 16, 2024, 10:04:24 AM
This thread made me laugh as i remember what I have done just to continue my gambling many years back because this is truly memorable  as I am an field officer back then and my work is to go as much client a day for estimation and color presentation of our product.

and one day that I was  tasked to visit 10 costumer that day and of course I rode my motorcycle and starts heading to the clients .
while visiting my clients I run into a oldschool friends and had some chat and decide to have a beer , and of course getting dipsy we decided to go into casino but sadly my boss keeps on calling updating if i did my task that day.

I pretended that my motorcycle had been wrecked and need to cancel my appointments so i can get back my service (while i am in casino laying lol)

I think that all the gamblers have done an alibi just to keep doing what they do or to avoid being disturbed, Just like what you did. It's funny when you remember all the things you've done in the past but hopefully you've learned and changed. Your experience is minimal alibi and for me, it's not that bad but it's still illegal because you did it during working hours, and if you continue that routine, you can lose your job if your boss finds out what you're doing.
887  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you pay attention on other people bet and it amount, and does it affect you? on: January 16, 2024, 09:45:22 AM
Yesterday, when I was playing Crash, I have caught myself thinking that I watch on how much people bet, how much they won and lose. First I have felt envy, when I saw one guy bet 200-300 bucks all the time for half and hour and cashed out with 2+ multiplier. Among bets in range of 1 sat to a dollar, he was really standing out. Then I have noticed a guy who was betting a dollar and did not cash out until rocket passes 10x. I was also amazed how a guy bet 1k, and lost it when the rocket banged at 1.00x, then he immediately made another 1k bet and the rocket banged at 1.03x. Then I saw him winning +5k bucks.

That is how the idea of this topic appeared. I watch others gamble, I watch how the bet, I start to think about betting more than usually. Do you have such feeling also? Do you have a feeling that if others make large bets, that you also must bet large, otherwise you would feel like uncomfortable, or feel like a poor among rich, or something of that kind.

I do watch and observe other gamblers but I didn't think I should imitate or follow them because they make a lot of money in gambling. I'm more focused on observing their strategies but I still have my own decision and that's what I'm going to follow because if I'm jealous of someone else's winnings, possibilities is I'm going to be like  them who are obsessed with gambling. What you feel right now is normal and valid but even so, it's better to follow yourself and focus more on your abilities than on the actions of others.
888  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A brief advice for the newbie gamblers. on: January 16, 2024, 09:26:43 AM
~snip

Definitely, it's all a game of chance and luck. When we gamble, we make assumptions using our own ideas or experiences. These experiences might be from a past activity we engaged before similar to gambling but maybe lesser or better.  It can be exciting or sometimes a painful one, especially when we make losses.

Now when we set aside a limit or an exact estimate of the amount we wish to spend on gamble, it helps us reduce the risk of losing more due to over spending or not being able to control ourselves. Gambling can be very tempting sometimes and if we keep playing, you barley know when you have crossed your spending limit.

Well explained mate! You've shared the reason why most gamblers still play even though they have experienced ups and downs in gambling life. Sometimes those past experience are the reason why they still pushing to gamble more because they assume that they can avoid any misfortune and losses If they don't do what they did before they lose the game. Truly that gambling is very tempting so you have to be more cautious in your self and you need to observe yourself if you've been go beyond your limits.
889  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: cashout or wait till the end? on: January 16, 2024, 06:33:00 AM

How would you feel if you had the opportunity to cashout this amount, and later loose all?

most times people always find it difficult to cashout their fund when they have the opportunity,  due to having that mindset that they want to go home with the Goody bag. by so doing Sometimes the game will end without them winning a dime. but loosing all to nothing. while some will cashout, and later the game will end well and they will start regretting why dey didn't wait to the final.
now my question this,

cashing out or waiting till the end of game which is more better?

It depends to a situation and the amount, if ever that I reached my target winning amount, I won't hesitate to cash out the money. I don't want to miss the opportunity of having huge amount and I don't want to regret it in the end. If ever that happens, there's a big possibility to chase the losses which is not good because it will lead you to more losses. Sometimes we have to be contented and we should follow our self rules and limitations. In that way, we can show how responsible we are in gambling.
890  Economy / Gambling / Re: Responsible gambling on: January 15, 2024, 10:08:02 AM
In general, games are generally poorly predictable and players try to find and use at least some meaningful patterns in order to win. But even the small number of players who are in the black over the long term, even they have long losing streaks. There is nothing you can do about it, just come to terms with it. Well, or try to get some benefit out of it. If you have a streak of losses, then you are doing something wrong. What are you doing wrong? This question is very difficult to answer. Even if you win responsibly, it doesn't mean you won't have a long losing streak.

that question is too broad to find an answer because like what you've said, even you're a responsible gambler, that doesn't mean that you won't experience having a lose streak because just like some normal gamblers, each of us has more losing experience than winning, it depends to a person's but I still believe that even though others say that gambling is only for lucky people only there are still a few who use their strategies and their own skills when it comes to gambling so they experience winning.
891  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you prefer to own a luxury watch or invest in bitcoin or other assets? on: January 15, 2024, 06:49:54 AM
Its just a wrist watch...anyways,how does owning a luxury watch mean to me?like why must I own a luxury watch.....

Its not a bad idea to live well or being able to afford a luxury lifestyle but in most case I've never considered owning a a luxury watch against my  financial situation,,most people prefer to own so many luxury watches than investing. But I'll love to own a collection of such luxury watches and run a business as a side hustle.Isn't that also an investment;owning a collection of high quality and high branded luxury it simply going to be interesting.

Exactly! there's nothing wrong if you want to experience having a luxury things in life but always remember that do not live within your means. It's better if you weight things which is more important and worth it to have, I don't mean to say that luxury watch isn't important but with the value amount of that watch, you are able to buy and to invest many important things unlike having solely luxury watch. if you have a money, you can diversify it to different type of investments and assets.
892  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are successful gamblers seen as addicts? on: January 15, 2024, 05:46:52 AM
I must say that a truly successful player must have at least a slight addiction to the game. Why? Because if he does not have an addiction, then he will not have the motivation to do this business. And motivation is very necessary if the business he is engaged in is, for example, a source of his income. A slight addiction allows you to devote more time to your work. Light dependence allows you to get less tired. And also a slight dependence makes it easier to endure failures and resist tilt.
In the end, you can simply enjoy the game even without money. And it often happens that the game does not bring you any money.

I would like to rephrase your words a little and change "addiction" to "infatuation".
Nevertheless, in the context of gambling, addiction takes the form of an almost painful condition that becomes dangerous for the financial and psychological health of the player. But if a player is very passionate, then this is great and always pushes him forward through interest and motivation.

No matter what everyone says, Addiction has an impact to a person in a negative ways and it requires a strict self discipline in order for a person not to become addicted. As you've said, It affects the financial and psychological health of the player because they will reach a point where they can no longer control their mind, where the spending habits will continue even in the wrong way.
893  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do not gamble with Loan Money~otherwise you will be in danger like me on: January 15, 2024, 05:11:31 AM
To be honest, I have also been in your situation but not as bad as you, because I didn't borrow money to gamble, I spent all my savings and at that time I was really frustrated
What you are doing is also not very good because you are not gambling with all your savings balance. In this case, if you take the balance to zero, you may not get enough funds to support your family in the future. Moreover, gambling should not make you go bankrupt, but you should stop gambling when you face large losses. But for those who spend too much time in gambling, controlling themselves from gambling becomes a very difficult situation.

True! That's one of the worst thing that you did because you used up your savings, in the end you might just end up in debt because you have already touched the money that you have. We can't say that even if we give an advice to someone, they will stay away from gambling, it's hard for them too but it depends on the situation and the determination of a gambler
894  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are You Buying More Tickets To Increase Your chances on: January 15, 2024, 04:32:56 AM
How about you as a Lotto bettor do you buy more tickets when the prize skyrocketed and how many more tickets are you adding

No, for me a single ticket is enough entry to win the jackpot if one is destined to win.  In my view, buying extra ticket is just a waste of money.  If one will win, he will win, even if he buy only one ticket.  This had been a proven case where many people had been buying more than one tickets but they failed to win a jackpot price.  Remember only one number combination will win the jackpot price so any other number combination one buy is a waste or money besides, adding one more ticket may probably increase your chance to win to 100% but in overall statistics that chance does not even 0.1% increase to win the jackpot price.
In as much as we all know that there's every possiblity that someone with just one ticket can win big even more than someone with multiple tickets, we must not shy away from the fact that the more number tickets a bettor has the more chances of his winning. So I think it's it better to get as many tickets as possible to increase ones chances of winning.

There's a possibility to win with just one ticket and one time bet only but once in a blue moon only. It's true that people who bet and have more tickets have a greater chance of winning, but we can't tell fate, because if the chance to win is really for you, no matter how few or how many tickets you have, you will still win.
I have watched real life stories before and most of them always say that they have been betting for a long time and the amount of money they have made when calculating everything they have spent is truly huge amount, so I think those who bet for a long time deserve more to win.
895  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What strategies do you adopt that can help to make millions in sport betting on: January 15, 2024, 04:12:13 AM
Realistically the only people that can make a lot of money from $50-1000 wagers, are people that have absolutely unique strategists that take into account a ton of data points for a specific game market.

The only other way is to arbitrage, and you'll likely get limited before you get close to a million. My first 100k I got limited

I think, those people will not share their strategies to us because
anyone probably won't give info about the ways they can make a lot of money gambling. That's their ace in gambling and they think it's better to keep it to themselves than share it with others, because there are instances that even if they want to help, they can't do it because they might end up losing and falling down in the end.
896  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You'll be a discipline gambler in sports if you have a real bankroll. on: January 15, 2024, 03:53:56 AM
So the question is, can you manage with $50 as your total monthly bankroll, or would you rather increase it and risk losing money that is not meant for such purposes?
This is already a huge money for me and yes I can live with this for a month since I’m just an occasional gambler and in fact, I gamble with a lower budget most of the time and its totally fine. As long as you know how much is your budget having this kind of capital can work for you, don’t be greedy if you can’t afford it because you might lose everything, always have your discipline with you so you can enjoy gambling.

Since having a Bankroll is part of your discipline and self limitations, no matter how big or small amount it is, it's really up to you how you will handle that money in gambling. as you've said, you're an occassional gambler and $50 is big enough for your gambling activity, but for the others, it really depends to them, some may say that this is huge but others might say, that amount is not enough. Usually, other gamblers able to grow their money even if it's small, maybe it really depends on you how you handle the money, also that's where we can see how lucky you are in gambling.
897  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's The Weirdest Alibi Of Gamblers So They Can Continue Gambling? on: January 15, 2024, 03:32:42 AM
Never that I lied nor do Alibis just to gamble maybe because I am not a born gambler that needs
to create stories just to gather gambling money because for me? money is a need to hard work before gaining and so how
to spend this .

But given this to happen for me? maybe what i will use is that I will recieve bonus from job
anytime soon so they can lend me some funds just to gamble , I am not good in Lying though so for sure they will caught me Smiley

Then good for you, because you're intention by doing gambling is for your own only and you don't want to bother other people , you don't have to create fake stories just to have money because if you are a responsible person and you have conscience in what you are doing, you weren't able to lie especially to your family and closes friends.
898  Economy / Economics / Re: Useful side hustles to sponsor a BTC investment dream. on: January 14, 2024, 10:57:24 AM
The side hustles that you've mentioned needs someone to be dedicated for someone to be able to earn that kind of money, if that's the money that a newbie virtual assistant will be earning then I wouldn't be wasting my life away at my desk job when I could just get in there as quickly as I can and get that much money even when I'm still a newbie. Although most of them are good except for the watching ads part, remember that you need to put in some effort in all of them to be competent at them and make you earn a decent amount of doing them, remember this too, too much side hustle isn't worth it because you should give yourself the time that doesn't involve moneymaking because your sanity is a useful thing to have when you want to be competent with all the jobs that you're getting yourself into.

That's one of the reasons why many people who have a full time quit their job and turn their part time job into a full time because honestly, they can earn more from their sideline compared to a full time job. The only difference is that we cannot say that freelance work is stable because the discussion and offer here is per contract and when it comes to benefits and government contributions, they no longer cover that.

If I will be given the chance to be accepted for a freelancing job, maybe I will try and weigh carefully what is more worth it, because I can't say that I can do it, until I have tried it and it is really difficult to let go of full time job that offers many benefits. Maybe no matter how good you are at time management, you will still struggle and you might even get sick because of overwork for the sake of earning more.
899  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Blackrock Layoff in relation sa Bitcoin Price Fluctuation on: January 14, 2024, 10:38:13 AM

https://fintech.global/2023/12/11/blackrock-to-begin-genai-implementation-in-january-2024/

Another major reason: artificial intelligence. Around four in 10 respondents said they'll have to conduct layoffs as they replace workers with AI. Major tech companies like Dropbox, Google, and IBM have already announced job cuts as part of a new focus on AI.
https://www.businessinsider.com/layoffs-sweeping-us-these-are-companies-making-cuts-2024

900  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Succeeded in introducing Bitcoin to a friend on: January 14, 2024, 08:40:23 AM
It is like declaring your asset which I believe should be only for public office holders, in this case it does not look as if its a public job so I frankly do not see the need for it.

If you want to let him in as a friend and confidant then its ok but to show him your holding is a bit risky from a security stand point.  It is also not necessary as you are not trying to prove any point.

For me, when it comes to bitcoin hodlings, it should be confidential just like in your salary amount or savings because anything that you will share to other people possible will be using against you. I'm not a negative thinker type of person but I usually trust no one, even if you're my friend unless you're a part of my family. I realized that no matter how well you know someone, when it comes to a point where they are having a big problems financially, it's still possible for them to do something bad especially if they know you have such a large amount of investment or savings, they may come to you for a loan, rob you and worst is manipulating and cheat you.
