Bitcoin price seems to be increasing with time but we cannot confirm a bull until some more resistances are broken. specially the wall at 25200 and 31900.

There is no wall.

Then what are we observing?  Huh

There's a difference between knowing the wall and watching the wall.
903  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1923 newspaper blurb. on: January 29, 2023, 10:51:19 PM

wild, if not a fake.

EDIT: inflation in 1923 was 1.79%. If steady for 100 years, it results in 5.89 denominator for the currency real value.
However, official inflation since 1923 was 2.9% on average, which results in 17.43 denominator, meaning that each current $ is worth (has buying power) of 6c in 1923.
eggs were 25c/dozen in 1923 (at least one reference).
therefore, dozen eggs "should" be 0.25X17.43=$4.38 vs the "dream" value of $10.
I can find eggs at $3.6-4 per dozen if you buy 36 (not jumbo), so it is quite remarkably accurate.

Yeah and what the hell is this "strike" thing?  Never heard of it.

Looks like she’s trying to break out again. Wonder if we’ll break $24,000 this weekend, if we do I doubt there’s much stopping us from going straight through $25,000.

Page parity soon?

Wink

I don't get it!  My gut told me $25k by Friday and here were are Friday and not even close.  Now I'm going to have to punish my gut with a large, double-cheese and pepperoni pizza tonight.

This doesn't need to stay up ad finem.

Oh no. Can't ruin the sanctity of your back-room circle jerks, huh?

Hillarious.

El Duderino *KNEW* I was John Titor from back in the chat, and decided to pile-on.

Showed his true colors.

A pure hedonist.

Could not ever be friends with someone that shallow.

I also *KNEW* at one time but I forgot.  Maybe it's just that your alts aren't as unforgettable as you Mr. BobLawblaw.

Carbon footprint of a time-traveller must be huge.  He would have been cancelled or hanged well before 2030.

25k by Friday

My birthday is Friday the 27th so I am hoping for a nice number by then.

Hey! That's also my sister-in-laws' birthday!  She also mines bitcoin! Wait a minute....

OT: https://news.yahoo.com/five-police-officers-were-fired-192741747.html?ref=upstract.com

I normally wouldn't post things like this here anymore, but I'm so fkn mad right now. The hypocrisy here is just... I have no words.  Angry

I seem to recall an entire nation laid completely hostage one long summer (during the height of Covid, no less) due to mass riots, burning buildings, etc. over a certain person who died like this. Rioters took control of the entire city of Portland, OR for months and months.

Well I guess they only mass riot, vandalize, and burn buildings when it is a bunch of white cops doing the killing instead of POC cops, huh? Funny how that works.

Nary a peep of this on the major MSM news channels. Unbelievable.

It was in the papers here this weekend because 5 cops had been fired but that was the first I had heard of it.

.... I cant do that irl as I don't know any bitcoiners.

Until this day, you haven't converted a single nocoiner ? Really ??

~snip

I can understand.  I talked to my friends, family and many colleagues about it - including several who came to me with questions.  I managed to get one good friend to purchase a tiny amount of bitcoin (the value of dinner and a movie for two at the time) but he sold it all the second time bitcoin went over $1k.  The only other person I know who bought some had nothing to do with my prodding; it was because his IPTV provider decided to accept only Bitcoin for payment.  There was one other guy who was always interested and would ask me about it every time I saw him but I don't think he bought.  It was always too expensive.  I just ran into him a week ago and we chatted for a bit - I told him the bottom was likely in and this was a good time to start if he hadn't already - he smiled and gave me the thumbs up so maybe he's already started and just being tight-lipped about it?  Okay, I'm just being hopeful... they're all still nocoiners Sad

Love when a plan comes together… 1month chart looking sweet! Walking up the bulltard staircase…looking for sideways consolidation and the next step at 25k$
Cheers hodlers  Cool

How come I remember you as such a FUD and disinformation spreading dweeb - pumping bullshit shitcoin talking points regarding the breathing cycle and all of that nonsense?  Now all of a sudden you are a bitcoin bull?  Go figure?

So yeah, it is difficult to know how many folks (even longer term bitcoiners) had been ready, willing and able to take advantage of BTC prices of the last several months - especially the last couple of months that we had largely been below $17k for most of that time?  Of course, if you might be a trader, then you may well have sold some coins and then bought back, so if you ended up timing it well (or mostly getting it right), then you may well be feeling especially smug at this time... but still we do not have any guarantees that the UPpity scenario that you describe is going to play out.. especially if we go by your post history in regards to wanting to pump your position (aka talk your book).

I am not even saying that I want you to be wrong in the way that you have outlined what seems to have decently good chances of happening.. yet for sure, I never really want to personally get too cocky in regards to any kind of belief that I know where the BTC price is going in the short term.

Hey Jay, truth be told I can neither confirm nor deny my online behavior in the past… everything is fuzzy…I quit drinking a fifth a day of vodka and recently had my 2 year anniversary of being sober!
Sadly I’ve lost millions in bitcoin on exchanges from MtGox on down to cryptsy…because I forgot where I had my Bitcoin till I found my ledger… ouch!
In short I don’t recommend anyone trading on anything I post… entertainment purposes only.
Cheers h2o mate

Kudos to you! Congratulations on being 2 years sober.

To be thorough: can you sign a message from one of the old addresses you've posted? And just in case, adding the date prevents future (ab)use of the same signature.

Wow.  That's a really cool website/tool you created!
I was changing my profile address because I don't want my publicly posted profile address to be associated with other addresses I have used in the past.  (I know... too late!) Anyway, I searched through the list of addresses I've posted and some of them I posted with their private keys so it took me a while to come up with another posted addresses that was still secure and unused.  I'll use the first one in this post:

back over 21k and a reverse bart

Precisely. No bart battern back down to $16K or anything like that quite yet. Only time will tell...

This is either a great sign that we're still in accumulation mode and are about to see another leg up, or a bull trap with a Bart Simpson pattern in the making.

I like reverse bart moves.

I am hoping for reverse bart into a power flag

man exactly that:

a reverse bart into a power flag.  with the assist from homerx10

this looks very nice indeed.

go BTC go!!

took under 30 hours to do it.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to throw away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; a time to seek, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to throw away; a time to tear, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; a time to love, and a time to hate; a time for war, and a time for peace.

Ok now is starting to look like bull flag on short-term time-frame, after failing ascending triangle break-out. Still expecting a fake-out to higher levels above $21.5K but this ain't no shorting range.

if that's not a good price point to short what is?
this has been one hell of a pop, I fully expect a strong pull back, maybe even retesting 15.5k.

When it breaks down from the bull flag. Not within it, unless you're scalping resistance to support that is, as it's a bullish continuation pattern until proven otherwise.

If we go back down to $15.5K, you can expect much lower than that though.

either way if it breaks up sell because the move is way over extended, or if it breaks down short cuz its going down.
IMO most of this move is based on a short squeeze , and some mofo buying, but now the shorts are liquidated only mofo is left, and its going to be hard to mofo buy when it suddenly drops sub 20K. I guess it all depends on how much money is on the sidelines right now.

all we can do is  draw lines, watch price, and speculate

Dude, you forgot hodl.  We can also hodl or DCA and hodl or hodl and DCA and hodl some more.  So many options...
