It looks like the correction is almost in... the 4h MACD is about to turn green.
Fireworks incoming?

I think more like stability at these new price levels is incoming, I think it means we made it to the other side and we are finding a new bottom at these levels.  We will see what happens, but that is my expectation.

LOL...blah blah blah

HOLY, I haven't laughed so this hard in months!....LOL....what a clown show!  good grief guys.  Get  a life!  Everyone knows that what ever you say can and will be used against you.  elementary my dear watson.   Keep posting this kind of crap and I'm going to change my sig to quote him too!

With enforcement on does it mean masternode with old version do not get payments?

Define "old version" but yes it should be restricted to Core releases (most recent protocol iirc).
0.11.0.13 or 0.11.0.14 - these are 1.1% ?

The general rule is a masternode requires updating within 7 days after a release or they'll stop getting paid.
wow...thats good to know.  Is there anyway to have it set up to auto update someday?  Some peeps like me aren't able to be on it like that.

I guess you were the last one to put him on ignore  Tongue

Yeah...I'm a bit slow to pull the trigger sometimes.  always wanting to give benefit of the doubt to peeps.  LOL.

Seems I remember here that same tune from you a few months ago... Isn't this like 200% in  from the last time u made the last complaint...?

What would you rather be in:

 - Ripple ? A debt brokering vehicle for banks
 - Litecoin ? Lost 75% of its value against Bitcoin in the last year while Darkcoin gained 500% ?
 - Bitshares ? Nice, but a business not a currency
 - Maidsafe ? A data storage platform
 - Dogue ? Nice, but a non-anoymous cultcoin
 - Stellar ? A one man attempt at crypto-rockstardom, ending in network outages and catastrophic forks
 - Paycon ? Bernie Madhoff for crypto-gullables
 - NxT ? Nice for assets, but......

 - Shadow ?

(p.s do ask Tim to change his sig please. thanks)

So is this what you've amounted to? Hawking your bags here?

Further, there was nothing wrong with quoting what you said historically. After all, you said it. You may have changed your stance later, but history is history.
Hahahahaha... I'm grabbing some popcorn... Hang on a sec. Wink

Hey guys, I got a quick question:
I am about to set up a Masternode on Windows but unfortunately I have no static IP. However, I managed to install a DynDNS Client on the server and establish an address. Everything is working but how do I get the DRK Client to connect with the DynDNS address?

You don't.  You just need to know the IP address at the time you are cold starting it.   You will need to start it from a different IP though.  A VPN works just to start it if you are on the same network.

Fisrt, can you explain what you want to do? Install a hot MN or your windows home? or cold/hot?
That's it... I got to this MN thing myself.  Where is the latest resources for "do it yourself"  guy? I'm looking to set up 10 to 12 mn's to start with,  so I'd be willing to "tip"  someone to do some consulting. Thanks
Followed your wine company on Twitter. Follow me back so we can message and I'll help you out there.
Thanks Tao!  My company twitter account is accessible by all our staff so you can also use my personal handle @richard_mwco.   If your kicking around... Give me a shout on my cell... I'm on the ferry on my way back to Vancouver.

If you're meaning from home on the same machine, thats local hot wallet holding 1000 coins and remote (masternode) machine in one.
This is fairly easy to do, use the normal darkcoin-qt.exe wallet from homepage,run and then stop it running, and put this as a new file darkcoin.conf in the roaming (hidden windows folder), with your own passwords of course, then run darkcoin-qt again.
You do not need to specify an external ip because your masternode is on the same machine so it can be dynamic. You can specify the internal ip which is normally something like 192.168.0.2, you can fix this local ip inside LAN settings using internet protocol version 4(TCP IPV4) in properties and specify a fixed local ip address with masking etc, although you might be able to skip this if only 1 machine and your router's firewall port forwards ok.
Config is something like this,

"rpcuser=researchisgood
rpcpassword=crystalmethwhores
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
listen=1
server=1
daemon=1
logtimestamps=1
maxconnections=256
addnode=23.23.186.131
masternode=1
masternodeprivkey='masternode genkey'      "

your masternode privkey must be generated from the wallet debug console using the command 'masternode genkey' after sending 1000 darkcoin to an address in the fresh wallet.
And goto wallet console and command 'masternode start crystalmethwhores', it should say masternode succesfully started..

I have missed some steps out for simplicity, and I suggest you read TaoOfSatoshi's most excellent guide on how to setup and have a play around before coming back with more questions but be warned it is for a hot/cold setup but is a similar kind of thing.

Wow... I can't believe I wasn't doing this earlier... In that case I could set up 20+mn's and generate some serious drk. NICE!  Thanks Sub-ether!

Thanks Rux.  I realize that this may be cheaper running off of virtual servers.... But I'm old school.  Don't care about power costs/hardware costs as I can write this off all through my company.  So I'd prefer to host it all at my own site.  Does this effect anything?  Would this mean I'd need to have 10 separate physical servers running?

I tend to agree.  The wallet is something that should now be looked at.  Polishing up the wallet and having it auto update or at least notify the user there is a major update available would be very helpful.  It's actually weird that was never put in.  I believe that now that we have got awesome features that are downright unbelievable... I think the user interface needs to be looked at.  Every time I show newbies "crypto"  wallets they start to glaze over... Never mind talking about all the cool advanced features.

Just my 5 cents worth.  R.

Hi gang. What is the current return per node at the moment in drks  and also I see that lots of peeps are using virtual servers to run their mn's.  Are any running these on their own servers at their own location and what is the min hardware requirements, bandwidth speed needed per node? Is it better to have nodes dispersed through out different locations or does it matter?  Thanks

It's is mooning for the same reason it did last time, manipulators brought in around 2 weeks ago then they do what they do best pump to a level and now we have the amateurs panic buying because it's going to be the next bitcoin  Grin

Next step we will see what we see last time (check the graphs) freefall the manipulators will be even richer the panic buyers will be even poorer it's a great world we live in where the rich get richer and the poor get...

Ps there is money to be made obviously but make sure you get out before the crash

The nice thing about Spreadcoin and its improved masternodes is it's still very cheap.  The poor have a chance to get rich.

See and in there lies the issue many don't understand... There are many of us that were in the beginning of DRK that are not here to get rich. Some of us did that with BTC,  Wink .  This is about BTC 2.0.  About moving this forward crypto currency adoption ... And not another get rich schemes.

  Good grief. It's not even fun anymore... This shtick is getting old and boring.  If people are to lazy or ignorant to read about and research  the technology,  then f'em.  This is about utility and features that should have been hard forked into BTC... Why peeps see value in LTC  for example is beyond comprehension.  BTC sure... It was the first one in... But this does not protect it in the fast moving world of crypto.  Trust me,  as a brick and mortar winery owner,  one crypto currency would have been preferred. It would make mass adoption much easier... But there are to many problems or omissions in BTC that worry me and many of my clients.

Our dev rewrote the masternode code.  There isn't a single line of Darkcoin code so it is no longer based on Darkcoin code.  Your dev wrote his thread about the new masternode system hours after our dev released his source code.  Your dev must have read the code and realized, "Wow, this is how I need to do it."  And sure enough, everything he said he was going to do is exactly what Spreadcoin has already done.

Seriously, look at the time stamps here:

http://spreadcointalk.org/index.php?topic=37.0 - Our dev releases his code January 27, 2015, 11:48:42 AM

https://darkcointalk.org/threads/v0-11-1-instantx-development-update.3769/ - Your dev writes his masternode update thread: January 27, 2015, 3:14 PM

Coincidence?  I THINK NOT!
May the force be with you,  young padawan.

If you guys like Darkcoin, you should check out Spreadcoin.

1.  Currently testing IMPROVED masternodes which are substantially more profitable than Darkcoin masternodes: http://spreadcointalk.org/index.php?topic=101.0

2.  The Darkcoin dev will soon be copying the Spreadcoin dev's masternode implementation: https://darkcointalk.org/threads/v0-11-1-instantx-development-update.3769/page-2#post-39115 because the Spreadcoin masternodes don't rely on a centralized reference node.

...and the utility that Spreadcoin offers over Darkcoin is what exactly?

Easy to setup masternodes that don't require a centralized reference node.  We setup over 1600 masternodes in less than two days.

Once masternodes are on mainnet, the Spreadcoin dev plans to implement anonymity as well.  As he created a superior masternode system, I'm sure he'll create a superior anonymity system.  I'm sure Darkcoin will appeal to darknet markets but no big retailer is going to use a, "Dark" coin despite wanting privacy for their customers.  That's where Spreadcoin will come in.  You guys can have the drugs, we'll take the rest.
That being said there is always room for improvement in every coin tech... So keep the faith there big guy Wink
