..regarding the RMA emails...I'm paralyzed....never would have expected this answer and why it's one time 450, then 400 which is the border line for RMA?? leaves somehow a bad taste in mouth when thinking of the fact that more upgrade boards were sold than offered 400 still good?!....and then you see that some reach numbers close to 600.. For the always knc defending fanboys: How about a customer pays KnC less than some others and tells them the following: "Count yourself lucky that some paid more than me, as long as it's over $4000 - nevertheless the price is advertised >$5000- you have no right to ask for more, but where I prefer to get my unit shipped to." engineering is top and customer handling a flop really makes me thinking twice about my next KnC order as it's another gamble on top of the mining gamble -- in case there's already enough bad news for you today, skip the following link http://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/2013/11/15/leaked-private-bitcoin-foundation-discussions-enforcing-central-control/I had the idea of creating a list of all the concerns expressed by the community here and relay them to Sam in person when I go there Monday (if I even have the chance to meet him). But I am not sure that he would actually care so much and would be probably a waste of time. I wish I can be more excited for going to see them in person, but to be honest I don't feel it. What I feel is a sense of disappointment from all the things that were promised, advertised, expected, but did not materialize.

Thanks Cyper! I've ordered 2 upgrade modules for the jupiter just to try it. Good news... The speed is still slowly increasing and I expect around 840GH/s which is 140GH/s per module. Btw did you buy longer cables as you will need them to connect the 2 additional modules.

For anyone finding it hard to believe a Jupiter running 6 cards. That is with 0.99, but the HW errors seem high, so will probably revert back to 0.98.1 Beta which was under 1%

Avenger... Die 0 was addressed with the 0.98.1 beta firmware, and most machines were fixed with it. Other than you, I don't think there are more than a handfull more out there..MAYBE. So to call that the "Biggest issue" is Total Crap. okay we have... 1. Avenger (Assuming he really has a machine) 2. Edgar.... 3....?
Me. I have 2 boards that I am exchanging on Monday. Bought the tickets already

@ anyone w/jupiter - what are you using for the 4th module with your V850s?
mine came with 3 'twin' connectors, so im using one connector 'twice' and it is HOT!
Twin molex to PCI-E is one solution. Or I read that you can use one of the CPU slots to plug an additional PCI-E cable there (if you have any), but do your own research for that as I cannot be held responsible for any damages. Btw if you send an email to Cooler Master to request additional PCI-E cables they will be happy to send you some. I'm currently waiting 7 to arrive: Bless you, I'll email them immediately. i saw the 2 molex - pci-e option in 2011 but not comfortable trying it on the jupiter was curious what others are using - the twin method works but less than ideal, especially with an empty pci-e slot right thurr what are you using to power ur extras, a second psu? I would not use PCI-E to molex adaptors for a jupiter. those were designed with the 75W PCI-E limit in mind, and a single jupiter ASIC draws far more than 75w Each 12V 18AWG cable is rated up to 11Amps, but let's be a little conservative and drop that down to 6Amps. So this Twin Molex to PCI-E has 2 of these = 12Amps, which is sufficient for a single module.

Let's see if I can make these work

Yo, 1200W Gold rated PSUs November orders FTW pls! So KnC recommends 1200W PSU for the November batch ? Why would you doubt me?? I do not doubt what you say, sorry if I expressed myself in a way that you thought it's my intention. I wasn't sure whether I got it right as non-native speaker facing an unknown abbreviation. After looking it up myself and getting sure about it's meaning I've edited my post and added a link to another post of yours making it more clear for stupid ones like me. Haha no worries bro. I admire anyone who is forced to speak English as a second language, and does so as well as yourself. I've grown up learning other languages I'm not required to speak, which is just as well, as I'm appalling at those! I have 2x V850 +2x V100 that I bought last night, so hopefully these will be enough for 19 boards (2x October Jupiters, 3 Upgrade modules and 2x November Jupiters).

Any news about knc from boards?
Yes, they shipped them all yesterday and said that your order has been cancelled, because they oversold.

Thank you. Now I have to find where I can buy these metal sheets from.
Grainger, McMaster Carr, even ebay. I'm in the UK. Do you mind posting some links, so I can look them up in here. Thank you.

Does anyone with a miner have a caliper to measure the thickness of the case. Is it aluminium? I need to make a home for my Upgrade modules and one of the options is to build a replica of the original case. Do you think that is doable?
Or if you can recommend anything else? Perhaps a specific computer case?
If you're still curious, the case is aluminum and approx 1/10th inch thick (2.6mm?). Pretty beefy. Thank you. Now I have to find where I can buy these metal sheets from.

I'd just use the cover as another base....but that's just me.... And then my original Jupiter and the new home lose their lids. I want them covered Hmm, OK, leave the lid on...mount the boards on top...cover them with XXX I actually remove the covers, and stack them like a tower, leaves access to all, and uses little space... that only leaves the sides to cover actually... (and very top of unit stack) I want them stock, so would like to build a separate case for the new ones or maybe put them in a computer case that doesn't have many internal features - just a plain case with only space inside.

Today is party day for me... The whole BTC endeavor has surpassed itself investment wise. I lost plane ticket money, office lease deposits, internet service installations, not to mention all the tables, cords, and power supplies I shipped to Washington, directly from amazon, just to get the miners into a 2.4 cent electrical situation... The "Powers that be" saw to it there was a glitch in the address change online, and my machines were subsequently shipped here to hawaii Instead of Chelan, which meant an emergency PSU re-order for home...but Chelan would have been a total disaster in hindsight, with all the things unforeseen that needed worked out. Thank the stars. I'm VERY Happy they are here at home, even with .43 electric. In approx. 27 days, so far, I've earned about 33.5 BTC total. By today's price, that covers Every cent spent, and more... but wait!... I was able to re-invest the BTC, and now will ultimately end up with over TRIPLE my current hashpower by...(Nov.?th)... certainly out-pacing the diffchanges by a significant margin. All thanks to KNC & The ASIC Godz! **Just had to get that out.... AAAaaaah. This is exciting.
man stop with ... the in your face... not all of us are so lucky it is getting annoying Let him enjoy his moment. Tomorrow BTC could crash to $1 and then we all will suffer until the end of time
