@leonArdo, could you please reply to this?
The program keeps crashing.

Hello,

Program is randomly crashing on two different computers, one with Windows 10 and the other with Xubuntu 17.04
The one with Linux shows a message like this portion:

I've asked the dev team to take a look. Have you any more details?

Does it crash while you are interacting with leonArdo's GUI? Or while it is left on it's own?

How many pairs are you running? Are you running the demo version of the software or a paid version?

The more details the better.

Thanks for getting in touch and sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

Best wishes,
Jonathan

Tryed the demo last night and it crashed on me several time. I only setup some basic margin trading on 3 different currency and it alwais crash after some time. The computer it run on is not in cause, i7 5930k, 32gb ram, etc.

I do not feel confident buying it if it cant run stable for days.

Then don't buy.

If you want support or to learn more contact us here: support@marginsoftware.de

We are struggling with some issues on the demo market that do not affect the real version and are working hard to get to the bottom of them.

Hi Jonathan,

Could you explain to me why bot place buy order at not current buying area? There is no buy limit.
http://imgur.com/a/Dc7MW

Also, question is about stop-loss. As I understood correctly, if there is min.eff gain entered in a positive value, stop-loss doesn't work? Or strategy just will stop?

Hi Paul,

The buy order placement is constrained by the previous sell that the bot made. You set the Min Eff. Gain to 1.2% so that's as high as the price can be set at. If you want the bot to follow the course then you can set a negative Min Eff. Gain. but take care that it can result in a loss.

Stop-loss works regardless of the Min Eff Gain setting!

Best wishes,
Jonathan

Still using a lot of CPU on OSX. Can this please be fixed?

What's your system setup like? How many bots/pairs are you running?

Jonathan

I'm having trouble with the demo version.  I downloaded version 3.4.1, and added api keys in bittrex with these checked:  READ INFO, TRADE LIMIT, TRADE MARKET.  I selected my markets, entered my key and secret key into leonArdo, and it says that my key is not registered to this account.  How exactly can I get set up with the demo in order to evaluate if I will purchase leonArdo?

Hi nostrakhan,

You need to buy a license (cost is $89 for a lifetime one) and then you can connect your account by entering API keys  Wink

Just pick one of the "demo" markets from the drop down list to try out the demo version. There you can do what’s called paper trading with real market data. You can take leonArdo for a spin, testing out it’s UX/UI, powerful indicators and of course the reason you are here, its bots Smiley

Jonathan

Price of "asks" and "bids" should be directly adjacent to one another. I prefer not to scan my eyes back and forth, but to focus on one spot.

Thanks!

Thanks for the suggestion.

Not sure if I agree with it though!

What do the rest of you think?

Jonathan

leonArdo@margin ,

when will be release new version and with the new strategys?

Thanks!!!!

Summer time is always a bit slower as people are on holiday. We expect to have 6 week dev cycles from here on out. So roughly every 6 weeks there will be updates with new cool features!

Jonathan,

Do you plan on adding Binance and Gemini?
Are there a lot of bugs left to patch? I'm mainly looking just to trade, I ran into some problems trying to use the trial (demo), any helps on the matter? I could not select the exchange after it was open.

Sorry, but what do you mean you could not select the exchange after it was open?

We are experiencing data collection issues right now. We hope to have this resolved soon.

In the meantime once you start your own instance of leonArdo you can still use it and your local copy will do its own data collection when running.

All the best,
Jonathan

A suggestion of a feature that would be useful for me:

The possibility to add some "notes/comments" for myself (just text-based) on the different pairs.

The reason for it is that I often look at different pairs (30 to 40 different pairs), make my own analysis, and then see that the time is good or not good to trade on it, then move on to another pair.  And the next day I don't always remember what mya analysis at that time was, so I have to re-spend a few minutes per pair to re-check things all over again.  With 30-40 pairs, you can imagine it can be lenghty.

Here is a real-life example:  E.g. There is a pair I like to trade, but now there is a big surge, and I expect it to crash in the short term, so I won't trade on it for now.  So it would be helpful for me to have a "post-it" type of note, where I would write for myself, for instance: "Crash expected, check after Sunday".  Or another one:  "Market always goes up after a drop.  Hold longer."

Something quick & easy, simple plain text, not a full WYSIWYG editor.

Nice idea. Where would you suggest we add it or how would it look?

Best wishes,
Jonathan

I have margin maker going up now with a - gain setting.

Have 4 bots running right now for many hours and have more than made the cost of the program in a few hours. I still do not understand a lot of it.
Like many times after it sells it has the buy back in so low it may never go that low to go back in so I have been pushing it up to buy in over riding it and that works.

I am using a -1.00 setting how does that effect things like what would happen if I used -5.00 setting.

I would like it to ride up as the price goes up like if it is set for a sell at $100 and it hits $110 can I set it somehow to not sell at $100 and keep going on up so if it runs up to say $200 it stays in for that run up? Is that something to do with the - gain setting?

Thanks

Yes, the mArgin maker bot is by no means perfect, but it can make big gains in many situations.

As for which value to set the Min Effective Gain to, well it really depends on the course and particular pair you are trading on. You can practice things out by choosing one of the demo markets from the drop down list.

As for what you want the mArgin maker bot to do in your last suggestion - it's not possible now. Once it sells it switches to buy mode and will only switch back again once the buy has gone through.

Thanks,
Jonathan

Firstly,
It will be a reminder for a feature which will be really great in my opinion,
When we started a bot, let user to configure it while bot is running.
or simply pause change parameter and resume.

Secondly
for margin maker bot sometimes tracking open-close points are way too much that margin maker can not realize the orders in a given margin percentage.
there can be an option to select tracking the open-close points of candles instead of high-low points of candles.

and an overview table style window which is giving the information of all active orders, all bots status etc...

Best Regards.

Good points. Thanks for making them!

Jonathan

In "Max. order age (hrs)" a 0.1 is equal to 6 minutes ?

Thank you.

Is there a way to disable entirely the (now defunct) BTC-e market from leonArdo?  Or to get a version of leonArdo without it?

It did happen a few times that I clicked on adding the BTC-e market by mistake (while wanting to add another market or another pair), and then leonArdo is stuck with it:  There is a little moving "wheel" sign at the location of that menu (to show that leonArdo is working), but nothing else happens.  There is no other window that show up asking me to enter my keys, no other menu is coming up, and I cannot make "cancel" anywhere.  It is stuck at this "wheel" spinning, and the big problem is that I cannot add any other market or currency anymore.  I need to close and re-open leonArdo entirely - which can be long to do when I have many bots running.

Yes! Download the latest version on the server and it's gone Smiley

Best wishes,
Jonathan

PS Just click on the, not completely obvious I admit, up-to-date link in leonArdo's login screen.

Hello,

during the Margin Maker strategy, if there is a sale at a loss, the robot stops the strategy. It must be restarted manually. Is this normal?

Thank you

Yes, if stop loss is triggered the bot is stopped.

Is that what you mean?

Best wishes,
Jonathan

I just used Leonardo for 8 days and nights. It is very difficult to manage. The settings appear easy at first but they are very sensitive and difficult to adjust.
The only easy strategy is the manual buying and selling and the Ping Pong.
The mArgin Maker give me migraines.

I'm looking forward to there being other strategy like the Bolinger Band. Otherwise it is very frustrating to see that the software does not always logically.

I know that a robot is not magic but I really believe it. I'm waiting for the next update because the interface is excellent

Thanks for your comment.

If you have any specific questions about how the mArgin maker bot works I'm happy to answer them for you.

We have plans for lots of bots that will take advantage of leonArdo's existing indicators (Bollinger bands, MACD, EMA crossover etc.) and new indicators we haven't implemented yet such as RSI. So stay tuned!

Really glad you like the interface.

Best wishes,
Jonathan

As it was a minor change I didn't update the version number, so even though it says 'up to date' if you click on that link you will be brought to the downloads page. Just re-install from there.

What is correct way for reinstalling? Can I install above the old version or I need to uninstall that one?

Sorry, I missed this message.

You can just install over the current version.

any plans to add cex.io?

Not anytime soon I'm afraid.

There are so many things on our plate and we are still quite a small startup.
