921  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Whirlwind.money | ⚡No Fee⚡ | Ultimate Privacy | Anonymity Mining 12% APR🔥 on: August 15, 2023, 08:38:01 PM
Today, I repeat, today despite the fact that the "noise" is a couple of days old; I have made two withdrawals and without trouble.
Now clicking on the withdrawal button, it only implies that..."I will wait".

Then, I am going to leave this post as temporary to verify when my withdrawal is in my wallet, that for additional reference purposes we can use deposit number 572 that according to W.M was made yesterday , and 571 3 days ago.

I'm sorry, but your message is a bit confusing to me. Are you saying you deposited BTC into Whirlwind today, or did you request a withdrawal from a note you had previously funded? And did you manage to get the withdrawal into your wallet?

Unfortunately, things haven't moved forward with my whirlwind situation. My money is still stuck with them. And it's hard for me to believe that I'm the only one facing this issue.
This radio silence from their end is seriously getting on my nerves... A simple "we're working on it" would mean a lot in a situation like this.
922  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [WARNING] Whirlwind.money - withdrawals are not being processed ⚠️ on: August 15, 2023, 06:57:47 PM
I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has offered their support here. I appreciate it. Unfortunately, there hasn't been any progress on my whirlwind case. My money is still stuck with them, and the available balance on my private note displays: 0 BTC, without any explanation provided whatsoever. I get that a hundred bucks or so might not be a big deal to a bunch of folks here, but it's a big deal to me. It's not gonna break the bank, but hey, it's still my money we're talking about!

I'm really open to hearing your thoughts on what my next move should be. What would you do if you were in my shoes? Your opinions are much appreciated!
923  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Whirlwind.money | ⚡No Fee⚡ | Ultimate Privacy | Anonymity Mining 12% APR🔥 on: August 14, 2023, 06:30:23 PM
I am glad that I brought this up and raised awareness about this topic.

Well, as a joke but also for the sake of the argument, it was I and fillippone the ones which raised awareness about this topic Smiley You came later to confirm the problem is even bigger Smiley

You all did a good job bringing this up. But unfortunately, I didn't think to check this thread before depositing my funds, so it didn't help me personally.

I've put the campaign on hold for the time being, but I remain hopeful that this is due to something other than malicious intent.

I think it's a good decision considering everything. To help this issue gets more attention, I started a topic on the appropriate board. That's where we can continue sharing info about what's going on. Hopefully, it'll stop someone else from making the same mistake I did.

[WARNING] Whirlwind.money - withdrawals are not being processed
924  Economy / Scam Accusations / [WARNING] Whirlwind.money - withdrawals are not being processed ⚠️ on: August 14, 2023, 05:38:38 PM
What happened:
Earlier today, I put in a deposit on the Whirlwind.money mixing service. After the transaction got the required number of confirmations, I requested for a withdrawal from my note to a wallet address with a 0-hour delay. However, it's been 10 hours now, and the transaction hasn't been processed or shown up on the blockchain. There wasn't any warning or indication of the service being down, and I just realized later that there were issues. It turns out other members were also in the same boat, waiting for their money.

[edit] Type 3 Flag: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;flag=3197

Reference Link: [ANN] Whirlwind.money | ⚡No Fee⚡ | Ultimate Privacy | Anonymity Mining 12% APR🔥
Website Link: https://whirlwind.money/
Amount Claimed: 0.004 BTC
Payment Method: bitcoin
Proof of Payment: here's all the evidence

Additional Notes:
Based on information shared by some members in the ANN thread, it appears that whirlwind hasn't been handling any withdrawals since August 9th (which is almost 5 full days as of the time of writing).

Please update us on this.
This sounds extremely weird. You do still see the satoshi's in your note, don't you?

No, the Note balance has updatet but there has been no transaction so far. Something seems stuck.

My last withdrawal was on the 9th, got the coins.

Looking at an explorer, the last outgoing transactions were made on that date: https://www.blockchain.com/explorer/addresses/btc/bc1qf8h5k6sash8007vpesymxkw2xsg5d0r3j4l5vmcrwpz2pqu66fjstzgd3r

Thank you for that information! As I made my withdrawal on the 11th, I guess that something is stuck :/

I made a withdrawal of 0.025 BTC yesterday afternoon (like you with 0 hours delay) and so far nothing. Did you get the money, or email reply yet?

And there are a few other issues as well. LoyceV summarized it nicely:

So, to summarize (and correct me if I got anything wrong):
  • The website isn't profitable (yet)
  • Deposits are working
  • The website claims to pay a very high 12% APR on deposits
  • The daily awards aren't always being added
  • Withdrawals stopped working 5 days ago
  • The signature campaign payments happen off-chain and thus can't be withdrawn now
  • User whirlwindmoney hasn't been here for more than a month
  • Support doesn't respond to inquiries
No matter what the reason is, this looks bad.

This isn't a scam accusation (at least not yet), but a heads-up for the community. Taking everything into account, I believe it's in everyone's best interest to hold off on using the service for the time being. It would be wise to wait until we get some feedback from their representatives and the service gets back on track. I'll keep this thread updated as the situation progresses.

925  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Whirlwind.money | ⚡No Fee⚡ | Ultimate Privacy | Anonymity Mining 12% APR🔥 on: August 14, 2023, 12:56:20 PM
Keeping that aside for a moment, we do not know if the problem is a withdrawal issue is down to signature campaign participants trying to withdraw funds or whether clients using the website for mixing are sending funds but are getting nothing back. There do not seem to be claims of the latter therefore it could be confined to signature campaign participants only. It still would not make it right or acceptable of-course but it would narrow the problem.

I'm a customer. I made a small deposit this morning and still haven't received anything back (with 0 hours delay on withdrawal).  Angry

I made the rookie mistake of not checking this thread earlier. I assumed everything was fine with the service. Maybe it's worth considering a temporary pause on the signature campaign and taking down all the signatures until things get sorted. If things work out, no harm done, but just in case they might pull an exit scam, it's better to stop the promotion sooner rather than later.
926  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Playing Slot Games On Demo/Free mode Vs Live/Paid Mode on: August 13, 2023, 10:11:59 PM
I don't believe in the probable systems in demo accounts and I see them as plots from both casinos and exchanges that offer user demo mode as an academy,  are all doing so just to gain the interest,  intention and participation of users,  that is why it always easier to win a demo game compared to real games and even in trading also.

Demo account for trading is quite different from this, I believe. In a trading demo account, all you have are simulated funds to test your strategies and practice your skills. The market mirrors that of a real trading account, so there's no manipulation involved. On the other hand, when it comes to slot games, demo accounts work as a marketing tool to lure players in. Hence, the results are tweaked to create the illusion of easier wins. Some providers openly mention this in the description, while others don't.

need help
Hello room, I ve been having issues with my bitcoin bought from bitcoin.com and sent to my wallet it has been unconfirmed for 6 days now. Please can anyone help out on what can be done?

sry im new in paying with btc

If you bought BTC on Bitcoin.com then it should already be in your wallet. Where did you try to send it afterward? Since you mentioned the transaction is still unconfirmed, you should have the transaction ID (txid) associated with it. Share it here so we can investigate and identify the issue.
928  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Playing Slot Games On Demo/Free mode Vs Live/Paid Mode on: August 12, 2023, 08:07:31 PM
Adjusting RTP doesn't necessarily mean that they manipulate the outcomes. It is just some sort of strategy they do. Rigged games are on different topic.
Please remember that we have provably fair games, these are considered to be the fairest games online. You can even verify the seeds of the games you played.
There's no need to be so negative towards casino operators that adjusts demo RTP.  Smiley

Does "provably fair" apply to slot games too? I'm not entirely sure, and I don't have much experience with slots. I also don't know how many game providers actually offer provably fair games. I'm not talking about their internal controls and licenses, but a genuinely cryptographic provably fair mechanism, similar to what we have on dice or crash games, for example.

3rd party slot provider slots doesn’t support probably fair because most of them use RNG for the result. Slot provider only get a RNG certificate which they are using to prove that their games is probably fair but still it's still need trust since we can't check the fairness by ourselves.

Slot games has a close source code. AFAIkK, some casino offers slot game on there house that offers real probably fair game. I forgot about the casino but I think it's from a web3 casino.

That's exactly what I meant. Although game providers have certificates that their games are fair, we still have to take their word for it. Also, we don't know if it is possible for casinos to manipulate the games from their side, for example not to use the original but pirated (modified) versions of the games. I think I read somewhere about such cases.

By the way, you keep using the word "probably" incorrectly.

probably : insofar as seems reasonably true, factual, or to be expected : without much doubt
provably : in a way that can be proved

Therefore, while we can conclude that the majority of Slot games are probably fair, this doesn't necessarily mean that they are provably fair.  Cheesy
929  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A weird belief among some gamblers. on: August 12, 2023, 07:27:54 PM
I think we need to ask ourselves what does it really mean to be superstitious? As per the actual definition, being superstitious means "believing in and acting upon supernatural or irrational beliefs, often without any empirical evidence or logical reasoning". Therefore, based on this, we can conclude that all of us who gamble and "believe" in luck are somewhat superstitious. We decide to gamble, hoping that we will be lucky and win, even though we know very well that this is illogical thinking and that the odds are not in our favor. How else to explain it if it is not superstition?  Cheesy

Barcelona is interested in Cancelo.

Idk why Guardiola do not wants him anymore, he is still of the best left back in the world.

Well, that's likely because they just signed Gvardiol. This guy's got serious potential, and he's good for both center-back and left-back positions. In fact, I think he really caught the spotlight during the 2021 Euros, making a big impact as a left-back for Croatia. That performance landed him a spot at Leipzig, and pretty much rose to become one of the top centre-backs in the Bundesliga.
931  Economy / Gambling / Re: l0tt0.com on: August 12, 2023, 06:57:01 PM
I think everyone should take a step back and remain level-headed. It was pretty clear from the start that the OP is mostly a solo developer working on this site. In my personal opinion, this dedication is praiseworthy, and we should always hope for more individuals who possess the ability and willingness to dedicate their time and skills to create something new for the Bitcoin ecosystem. Without the diligent efforts of developers, Bitcoin wouldn't have reached its current status. Hence, comparing the site to scam casinos simply because the development took a bit longer than anticipated was really uncalled for. Anyone who has gotten their hands dirty at least once in life understands that things don't always unfold exactly as planned.

@dewez, congratulations on relaunching the site! I think it looks awesome, and I wish you all the success in your endeavors. As for the negativity in some comments, you just gotta toughen up a bit and not let it bother you. There will always be those who nitpick, no matter what. But you know what's the best comeback? Proving them wrong with what you do!
932  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The fight between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk. Who you betting on? on: August 12, 2023, 05:50:26 PM
And this fight? It's surely not happening, not even close because these billionaires weren't fighters in the first place. This is just a front to cover their real intentions.

I think you might be mistaken because this fight is highly likely to happen, sooner or later. However, whether it will be an authentic fight or a staged spectacle is  another matter. Both parties stand to gain from the immense media attention this fight would attract, and both would likely want to present themselves as  great humanitarians and benefactors since all the money will supposedly go for humanitarian purposes.

And you're mistaken when you say none of them are fighters, as Zuckerberg is actively training in martial arts and even won a Brazilian jiu-jitsu tournament recently. Moreover, Musk announced today on his platform X (formerly Twitter) that they have reached an agreement on the venue (there's a possibility the match will take place in the Roman Colosseum) and that the entire event will be organized in the style reminiscent of ancient Rome. It's also worth noting that Zuckerberg's children are named Maxima, Augusta, and Aurelia. Do you think it's merely a coincidence?
933  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 12, 2023, 03:00:31 PM
Harry Kane's transfer to Bayern Munich isn't 100% gone. Bayern definitely needs a strong central striker after Lewandowski left the team.
Sadio Mane was a disappointment, but Mane was never really a central striker. He was a wing and Bayern already had good wing attackers.
I think that PSG should loan Mbappe to one of the big English teams for one season(until his contract with PSG ends). I don't know which football club is going to pay a high transfer price for Mbappe for only one season? A loan deal is better than paying a transfer price for the player. Mbappe is about to join Real Madrid in the summer of 2024. I would be interesting seeing Kilian Mbappe playing in Liverpool for one season.

Bayern Munich's deal with Harry Kane is not 100% confirmed, but this deal is very likely. Harry Kane and Bayern Munich's deal is only a matter of time, according to renowned journalists.

It was already confirmed 6 hours ago:

Quote
FC Bayern have signed Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur. The 30-year-old England striker has agreed terms with the German record champions until 30 June 2027 and will wear the number 9 shirt for the Munich club.
https://fcbayern.com/en/news/2023/08/move-from-the-premier-league-fc-bayern-sign-harry-kane

And, Kane has already arrived in Munich and completed the first training session.

Here's my theory. <...>

That theory wouldn't explain why he would need other people's money if he simply wanted a break from it all. Moreover, you can still spot him online on Telegram, even though he refrains from posting anything in the official Betnomi group. Instead, he seems to be deleting messages from people who are voicing complaints.

Here's my theory: he's a scammer!
936  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: List of casinos that allows "free spins and no deposit" on: August 12, 2023, 10:47:37 AM
I am trying to compile a list of crypto casinos that are offering free spins and no deposit promotions.

If you're into crypto casinos and looking to get your hands on some freebies, there's this awesome topic that's been put together and consistently updated by a user Pmalek: List Of Crypto Casinos with The Best Faucets

In case you're not familiar, faucets will get you small amounts of crypto coins for free, and in some cases, even potentially larger amounts. You can then use these coins for free spins, opening up the chance to win even more. However, most of these casinos will have a KYC requirement if you try to withdraw funds from your faucet earnings.

This is a reply 10 hours ago

I suggest that, at least for now, you wait patiently a little longer and refrain from doing something stupid that could harm your case. Verifications like this can take a while. I've seen similar cases that lasted even a month or more before they were finally resolved and the player got their money.

938  Other / Meta / Re: Is Short Onion URL link possible and how? on: August 12, 2023, 10:02:35 AM
You might also consider getting creative and mapping ENS domains to .onion addresses: https://medium.com/@brantly.eth/ens-now-supports-tor-onion-address-resolution-9bb3bdff6217
Although I have a feeling that might be a bit too daring for your taste.  Wink
Good idea.
Is this based on ethereum network?
Maybe there is some alternative that works on bitcoin blockchain or on second layer solution for bitcoin,

There are several attempt such as BitDNS, BitAlias and Namecoin. But all of them either dead or has very little adaption.

These are the most popular blockchain-based domains, as far as I know:
.eth is, of course, based on the Ethereum blockchain
.bit and .tor are based on the Namecoin blockchain
.coin, .lib, .bazar and .emc are based on the Emercoin blockchain

My first question is how this forum works? What are the don'ts and does here in forum, also I want to became an Investor what should I do?
I want to learn more about bitcoin like how to get it.

Hey Johnmatthew! Welcome to the forum.

To answer your questions, let's break it down:

How this forum works: How this forum works is pretty straightforward. It's essentially a forum for discussions covering all aspects of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. Picture it as a place to ask questions, soak up wisdom from fellow enthusiasts, and add your own two cents to the conversation. Just like any other regular forum setup, it has various sections tailored to different subjects. So, whatever tickles your curiosity or beckons your input, there's a dedicated space waiting for you to dive in and get chatting.

Dos and Don'ts: Be sure to follow forum rules, show respect, and steer clear of spamming or trolling. Also, keep an eye on what other members are saying and check out the suggested topics to get the most out of your forum experience.

How to become an Investor? I'd recommend kicking things off by grasping the fundamentals of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. Get a feel for their unique use cases and what makes them tick for potential investors. Look into their growth potential too. But remember, like any investment, it's key to do your own research rather than just hopping on someone else's advice.

Learning more about Bitcoin: Don't tell me this is the first time you've heard of Bitcoin? No worries, we've all got to start somewhere! There's a whole bunch of info waiting for you out there on the web. Think articles, books, videos – you name it. And don't forget this forum and other social spots. Ok, it is not a big sum for me, I just want to warn the community. Anyway they will loose more on reputation.
Have a good day for all!

Well, it sounds like you tried to reason with them using logic but your screenshots wasn't enough to sway them. But still, that's a lot of money! I can't believe you'd just give up like that. Have you considered hiring legal support? Lawyers usually have a common language that they understand.

By the way, you still haven't shared with us what exactly they asked of you. Can you copy the entire email conversation or at least the most important parts?
