I will look for it Grin

Just to be clear.  BTCC didn't send shirts/pens with each coin ordered. I wasn't part of the group buy, so I don't how many or if any were sent in the group buy.  I purchased outside the group.

Also, another reason I may have received the goodies is that my order was larger than the group purchase.

I didn't know they were going to do 5BTC coins.  So, I now have to place another order.   Looks like minerjones may have to do another order.   Smiley

They had T-shirt's Shocked

No, you've seen nothing here.
Ok, .... ok,    they do; however, a huge problem......

Maybe it's the reason why they don't ship to America.  That is a size Large.   Ummm, what?  Everyone knows that there is no such thing as simply a Large American.

So, I will place another order and ask for a size Obese (XL minimum).    Shirt was a free add-in that I didn't know was coming.  Very nice touch.

Note:  Should you decide to get one, ask for WAY big.  That one marked as Large is really closer to a medium.

The PEN is definately nice.  Writes well.

Pardon me for asking, why would you be interested in that?

Cheers Smiley

Well, allows me to get rid of this damn bitcoin I bought from Coinbase (fuck them).  JK (kinda), I am still stuck with their tracked coins.  Uhhhg, I don't want to get on the coinbase issue right now.

Actually, I wanted to perform a few tests.
Sending a coin without TX fee - see how long it takes or if it even confirms.
Is there a preference of newly minted vs old (multiple inputs)
Test Anducks notification system for redeemed coins.
Test the process of redeeming the coin - this turned out to be an issue I feel will be a problem for people.
- I will post details on this after more tests (when I get the TX to confirm).
And, a couple other reasons I haven't made up yet.  Smiley

Post pictures, and video.

Oh, how about video of the one coin being opened/redeemed?

Let me buy the digital coin?

Oh and I think the "V" in V Series stands for the roman numeral 5, of course I may be wrong.
They may be counting down from V (5), IV (4), III (3), II (2), I (1) or up, however why start with 5 not 1?

Maybe it's the 5th series after the tests or relates to the different materials they are going to use for different series?
The 5BTC version is still a V Series, maybe different designs?
They may be counting down from how many millions Bitcoins are still to be mined, currently 5,364,100...

I'm only assuming... Maybe is just a V.
I was born curious  Grin

Or.... "fifth anniversary"
928  Economy / Collectibles / Re: BTCC announces Titanium physical bitcoins on: June 08, 2016, 05:37:11 PM
We just announced our new, extra large size, Five Bitcoin.  I'll post a new thread with photos...

At the same time, we released some more existing inventory of the One Bitcoin for sale, so that people can have a choice, and not feel like you're compelled to buy the much more expensive Five Bitcoin.  Just to be clear, these coins that are back in stock are NOT from returns, but rather we released inventory previously held back for our employees and investors. (We will produce more in our next production run for them.)

Enjoy!

thanks,
Bobby

Very nice.
So, umm, estimated number of 5BTC coins going to be produced?  Price?
And, more importantly, are you going to allow USA purchases? -- It's been difficult for many of us to get them.
929  Economy / Collectibles / Re: BTCC announces Titanium physical bitcoins on: June 08, 2016, 05:34:15 PM
Really nicely done!  I like it.
(It's also nice that these V-Series coins are all straight from the coinbase transaction, so it's incredibly easy and transparent as to the number of coins minted and redeemed.)

Since you've done such a nice job with your website at monitoring our production, I'll give you some cool tidbits and also an important correction:

1) the 50 address in your first 2 blocks (393716 & 393816) are actually NOT mined by us at BTCC.  Therefore, they were not part of any BTCC Mint coins at all.  I'm not sure how your algorithm picked up these two blocks.  If you could, please remove it from your DB so that users have more accurate information.

2) the next 4 blocks (394051, 394111, 405240, and 405251) were ours, but actually mined into our "artists proof" coins.  These are not the ones you see for sale now.  We've been using them for testing, which is why you see some redemptions. We have also saved some as souvenirs, and given some away to people.

3) blocks 409881 and onwards, are truly the 2016 V Series, One Bitcoin editions, made of Titanium.  Some early ones here have also been used for testing, photo shoots, and some damaged ones have been redeemed, etc.

Keep up the good work Anduck!

And stay tuned for more exciting products from BTCC Mint!

thanks,
Bobby

While in direct communication with Anduck, he had already pointed out that the couple of blocks were not tagged as BTCC, but that he was going to make certain changes after the scans were complete.  It's very nice that commented and given more information to make the site complete.
930  Economy / Collectibles / Re: BTCC announces Titanium physical bitcoins on: June 08, 2016, 03:53:58 PM

I could see this as some of the 1st shipments went out with their full value declared......
And people not wanting to pay

thanks

Ummm, if they don't want to pay, then the coins would go back to BTCC.
They would just resell them (which might explain why they have stock again).
931  Other / Archival / Re: [RAFFLE?] Casascius 10BTC Silver - Ungraded & Loaded on: June 08, 2016, 03:41:52 PM
So maybe two people interested? Is that all?

More are probably interested; however, most people don't like to gamble on a raffle.  Even if provably fair and escrow, it's tricky.
Me personally? - I would rather simply buy a coin rather than gamble for it.

In this case, you have 1 happy person (maybe) and 15 unhappy.
932  Economy / Collectibles / Re: BTCC announces Titanium physical bitcoins on: June 08, 2016, 03:20:56 PM
Nice work Anduck! I am surprised how many of these have been redeemed already -> Redeemed total:     22

22, wow!  How many were made so far that we know of?

Anyone that redeemed one of their coins looking to sell the redeemed coin?  I would not like a fully peeled hologram, one as intact as possible.

https://anduck.net/bitcoin/btcc_coins.html

825  (25 of which are twins).

22 redeemed

BTCC has 5 errors left.   Oh, and the have some of the coins back in stock (with box).  Maybe a return shipment since new coins haven't been made.
933  Economy / Collectibles / Re: BTCC announces Titanium physical bitcoins on: June 08, 2016, 06:08:32 AM
To anyone interested in statistics, like how many coins there are etc..

Unofficial BTCC Coin Tracker: https://anduck.net/bitcoin/btcc_coins.html

The data is updated every hour.

Great idea.  Love it.
Thanks for building this list and maintaining it with updates.
Really nice to know if more are created and ever better to know how limited the coins are.  Strange that so many have already been redeemed.

934  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Have any of you ever had your Coinbase or Circle accounts closed? on: June 07, 2016, 01:36:44 PM
No I also never seen any in my circle getting their coinbase account close, the problem is that they are having strict rules about gambling what makes it more not attractable at all..

Remember, it's not just you they are worried about with drugs or gambling.
If you sell or give away coins to someone that does drugs or gambling, then you are the one to suffer.

So, before you give coins to a friend or family, just make them pinky swear to not use them for any reason other than to save them.
935  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Have any of you ever had your Coinbase or Circle accounts closed? on: June 06, 2016, 10:18:02 PM
Most people accounts are just cause they see where the  coins are going.

That.
So, make sure your coins never go to gambling (or drugs, etc) at any point.  So, even if you give coins away to someone and they gamble, then you're still a target.  And, no way to prove it wasn't you that did the gambling, etc.
936  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Casascius Coins for sale - 1, 5, 10 on: June 04, 2016, 05:50:19 AM
The difficulty I have with escrow is how to choose a trustworthy service.  I've heard stories of individuals with reliable histories suddenly flaking out.  Are there escrow services more dependable than individuals on the forum?

True.  However, the same goes for anything in life for any transaction.

If you don't trust my ratings and history, I will happily use a person with escrow low rated than me.  You have to understand that your history, although not negative, simply doesn't exist for transactions / trade.  Also, your history of coming back after being idle for a year doesn't help.

I would happily purchase all the coins (except for the redeemed one which are worthless to me), although I am only interested in the 10BTC silver  So, I would just sell off the others.  It might make it easier if you sell/trust one person instead of several transactions.

Yes, JohnK kind of disappeared as escrow; however, he didn't leave having scammed people (that I know of).  Personally, I trust people with actual trades more than escrow ratings.  And, I trust someone with escrow trades more than someone with simply a lot of post.

Blazed was mentioned.  I would trust him and suggest him as escrow even if you don't sell to me.  Others as well; however, from my experience, Blazed is familiar with physical crypto.

What would be nice to see is much better pictures.

Has anybody got an extra set of this coin?
I am willing to buy it from them.

Btw can Titanium get stains when left exposed?

http://www.elementsales.com/ecoins_desc.htm
"A tough, hard metal that actually was fairly easy to work with. Will not corrode or tarnish."

and

"Titanium is three times stronger than stainless steel and never tarnishes or rusts. "

Not to say you can't dip it in chemicals, food, and grape juice to leave oxides and residues.

There is going to be some out for sale, but at a profit.
938  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Casascius Coins for sale - 1, 5, 10 on: June 02, 2016, 10:35:53 PM
Based off the 1 year of no posts i'm guessing?

Also just saying for OP. You'll probably get 17-20 for the 10 piece. 7-8 on the 5 piece. And exactly 1.3 on the loaded brass singles.

More to it than that.  No need for details.  I could be wrong; however, I highly doubt it.   Easier to simply say: Be cautious.
939  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Casascius Coins for sale - 1, 5, 10 on: June 02, 2016, 10:10:23 PM
interested

I would worry about the OP.  Little Caution.  Smiley
940  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Have any of you ever had your Coinbase or Circle accounts closed? on: June 02, 2016, 09:48:50 PM
I had my coinbase account frozen for a little while, when coinbase had some trouble with my debit card. They cleared it up though, my account's back now.

Just make sure you don't buy something with your coins.  If you do and those coins eventually go to a bad address, then you will be banned.
This is worse than even paypal as you can be banned for coins you received (even as a donation) all the way to coins which are used for something 'off base' after having gone through even many people down the chain.

Advice?  Don't spend coins you buy from coinbase.  It's considered evil.
