921  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: COULD SATOSHI NAKAMOTO BE HOLDING 2.2 MILLION BITCOINS? on: July 14, 2017, 08:23:25 AM
As long as he does not dump his bitcoins, I do not really care how much bitcoin he is holding. And I do not think he will ever dump his bitcoin.

Like the one above me said, we should worry more about the whales who can manipulate the price by pumping and dumping bitcoin.
922  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can the Most Powerful Computer on Earth Hack Bitcoin? on: July 13, 2017, 11:43:16 AM
I think this was already discussed before and even quantum computers are not powerful enough to brute force a private key from a public key. I am not familiar with the math but this is what I read before. And in terms of hacking, people is still the weakest link. Just do a social hack on the person if you want to steal his bitcoin. It is way cheaper.
923  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: July 13, 2017, 04:56:44 AM
Is this official? Is the bulls will really release butler and remain wade instead? This is a great loss to chicago bulls. Timberwolves has lot of good players even without them. Karl Anthony Towns is enough. He just need time to get more experience. NBA must set a limitation to avoid superpower teams.

Nba already have that, its called salary cap. Unfortunately, players accomodate low salary in order for teams to join superstar players together. Building around just one superstar is not enough anymore. You need to have atleast 2 superstars and good support players to atleast compete with gsw.
924  Economy / Economics / Re: How long could bitcoin last? on: July 12, 2017, 11:54:28 PM
You are looking at the wrong category if you want signals for longevity. Price will always goes up and down. Crash and surge. The factors you should look at are usability, scalability, use cases and dev team. Price is just a result of all of these working well.
925  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What I desperately need Now on: July 12, 2017, 10:09:49 PM
I am using bitcoin ticker widget for android devices that I use. It alarms when a price is hit. Maybe you can use that. But if it is trend, I think there is a bot you can use that send signals when a bull or bear trend is happening but I do not know the exact name.
926  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What should we do now? on: July 12, 2017, 12:33:01 PM
Always buy when everything is going down, it is the perfect opportunity to stack up on cheap coins. As long as the coin have good devs and potential, It will recover after the shakedown.
927  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why bitcoin fees is $1.60 to send bitcoins on: July 11, 2017, 03:14:29 PM
miners are too greedy, this will be the downfall

It is not the miners fault that the fees are high. There are factors to consider that can cause the fee to skyrocket like size of the transaction, size of mempool, etc.
928  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you scared to hold until August 1? on: July 11, 2017, 01:11:03 PM
My bitcoins are secured and I do not think there is nothing to fear about the above said date. If you are a swing trader, you have to make adjustment. But if you are just a long term holder, I think just keeping your bitcoin safe is enough. It is more on the future rather than the swing in prices that concerns me.
929  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: MY BITCOIN TRANSACTIONS DID NOT CREDITED DESPITE MULTIPLE DAYS AND CONFIRMATIONS on: July 10, 2017, 01:52:10 PM
Do not worry, it is credited. It is very clear that it is credited in your address.

930  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many people are asking you about Bitcoin now? on: July 07, 2017, 10:18:30 PM
No one asking me for Bitcoin unless i tell them that i used Bitcoin, then the'll get interested and ask me things how i can earn with Bitcoin , where can i Buy? and how to make a lot of money out of it. Most of them are my office mate.
When the people around you notice the visible changes in your lifestyle they will definitely ask you about the reason and will ask that how do you manage these expenses ? Currently no one is asking me too about the bitcoins because I’ve lost a lot of my money in betting and other gambling games but now I have quit gambling and I hope that things will turn good for me from now on.
people even get information from other sources like social media and other news agencies, and when they knew that you are also using bitcoin they must come to  you and will try to ask from you about it. as in my area most of my friends are asking me about bitcoin.

I notice that more and more people are joining the fb group about bitcoin and most of them are clueless about bitcoin. It Is good that more are getting aware of bitcoin but if they seek answers from social medias all they will get is scam and referral invites of shAdy website that uses bitcoin and altcoins.
931  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't invest your money in Ico on: July 06, 2017, 05:10:30 PM
I say do not invest on overpriced ICO. I have invested in some ICO and it is going well for me. As long as it have good devs and low price, I am willing to take the risk. But I won't go long term on it. As long as I get x5 or x10 of my initial capital, I am out.
932  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: July 06, 2017, 04:21:36 PM
They should be ready now, Hayward is a talented player and the main man in Utah Jazz and now he will pair with Thomas, I like to see this and how it will affect the team rotation. I hope he will have his first championship, I know the Cavaliers are the king in the east but anything could happen and Celtics is going to the right direction in terms of progress.
Even they have Hayward now still it's not enough to beat the Cavs and enter the finals. Maybe they have gotten better because of Hayward addition in their line up but the thing is Cavs is Cavs and they will dominate the East as long as James is there together with Irving and Love.

Celtics have a serious upgrade this off season. I think they have a better chance this coming season than the last. And Cavs have no major improvement yet. They have not yet moved Love. I think cav will not dominate the east as much as they dominated it last season.
933  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has gambling affected your life in a good way? on: July 05, 2017, 07:11:59 PM
I do not see any good effects of gambling especially if it is casino games like dice or baccarat. The only good thing could happen is if it is a charity game like poker games for charity or something like that. Or if it is treated like a bonding moments for friends.
934  Economy / Speculation / Re: Could btc hit 1 usd? on: July 05, 2017, 05:14:38 PM
It is possible but just think about it. This is one of the greatest inventions after internet. It is quite valid currency to use for internet business as well.
So can you think they would leave bitcoin to die? I wouldn't. I would buy lot more if price was $1.

Yeah, users and devs will not let this happen. Unless a better crypto comes to pass, like what happened to friendster and myspace when facebook came to life. Facebook erased them on the face of the internet. If a better one is developed, users will use that instead and abandon bitcoin. That will be the time bitcoin will crash to 1$ and less.
935  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you set up limits for yourself? on: July 05, 2017, 03:22:04 PM
By my experience, I limit myself with the amount of money I bring to the table. If that money is gone, stop gambling. If I win, I just continue gambling until either I lose or I got my fill and stopped gambling on my own. If you do not set limits, bad things can happen specially if you are on a losing streak.
936  Economy / Exchanges / Re: POLONIEX not letting people withdrawal coin on: July 05, 2017, 02:17:33 PM
hi Everyone
I been trying to take my BTC from Poloniex but it wont let me (Awaiting Approval), so i send in ticket for support but still waiting and it has been been over a week. i sent a message to Poloniex by Twitter but still waiting...
Heads up don't deposit any coins if you want to take it out.

Did you confirm your withdrawal in your email address? The process is you place your withdrawal, then poloniex will email for confirmation. When you confirm in your email the withdrawal, only then that poloniex will send the coins. It is a common mistake for newbies. Please make sure this is not the case.
937  Economy / Speculation / Re: price after segwit? on: July 05, 2017, 11:54:38 AM
Hoping that the same effect will happen as we saw it gave LTC a very positive out come.

But who knows bitcoin is bitcoin and litecoin is litecoin they are still different but everyone is hoping to have good results.

But you should remember that Litecoin had a market cap of less than $1 billion at the time of SegWit implementation. On the other hand, the market cap of Bitcoin is around $40 billion now. Going from $40 billion to $60 billion is much harder than rising from $1 billion to $2 billion. But still, I expect the exchange rates to be in the $4,000 - $6,000 range by the end of August.

You are.expecting too much. How much hype do you have to sell in order to reach that price in less than two months?  There may be hype just before the activation but I don't think it will be that high. And maybe after it, the price will correct to a lower price again, maybe just above the current price.
938  Economy / Speculation / Re: I have been waiting for Bitcoin to reach $3000 on: July 05, 2017, 07:42:49 AM
It touched that level some time last month or May, I am not sure but it did reached 3003 in bitfinex. And in bitstamp is was 2980$. Why op did not sell that time? But do not worry op, there will be another chance. Maybe even higher than 3K when everything settles after August 1.
939  Economy / Speculation / Re: Next Milestone for bitcoin?? on: July 05, 2017, 07:26:12 AM
I stopped predicting bitcoin price already. It has no use anyway, you cannot totally predict the price of bitcoin. It move up or down as it will. I just go with the flow now. If it goes up, I sell. If it goes down, I hold or buy if I have fiat to spare.
940  Economy / Speculation / Re: Last 4 months of bitcoin on: July 05, 2017, 07:22:02 AM
300% growth in just 4 months. Pretty amazing. To some it will look like a bubble but to bitcoin it is quite natural. Good thing it is consolidating at 2500$, it seems like it is amassing energy to push upward again.
