941  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Beware of fake Telegram groups on: January 18, 2021, 03:32:02 AM
They targetting you mostly when you join many groups, they will try to pm you and impersonate the admin of the group. You should be more becareful of it, always makes sure the person that have contact with you is the real one. Also, dont give any money or key to anyone else, keep it by your self.
Yeah it only takes 1 group where the scammers targeted all the group members and deploying some bots to message them all and try to impersonate them or doing the scam activities manually.
This is also why I for most of the part don't care about the message I received from stranger in telegram even if it's about some deals.
It's really such a PITA when we got bombarded by the messages from these scammers and as a result drowns important message in our app.
942  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exchange to wallet on: January 18, 2021, 02:17:13 AM
If you're prepared for the identity verification or KYC that the exchange gonna ask you in the future I think saving your cryptos in exchange is fine. But, the exchange sometimes freeze your money out of the blue and asking you to make complicated identity verification by following various steps. If you don't want that you can simply move out your cryptos to wallet.
Exchange like binance not gonna run away with your money but it's the KYC they asking that is very annoying. Sometimes it takes a days to get approved too.
943  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which stablecoin is best? on: January 17, 2021, 09:56:26 AM
Frankly speaking, all popular stablecoins equally good for you if you only use it for transferring money or just to buy some cryptos  but holding it in that form for long might be problematic though there's no history of massive stablecoin scam but you should be aware that stablecoins are not decentralized and owned by someone.

IMO, it's usdc that's reliable because its partner is some big company. USDT asset is not really transparent and that could be worrisome. However, if you just use it for the things I mentioned above, just use the one with biggest market volume and accepted anywhere, that kind of stablecoin is just too big to fail or to make an exit scam otherwise the authority will go after them.
944  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHICH COIN IS THE NEXT ETHEREUM ? on: January 17, 2021, 07:42:19 AM
I'm really bullish on Cardano. I think with everything it brings and with news that they have in plan for this year it has a possibility to come to 3rd place behind BTC and ETH. Surpassing not yet but we will see what future will bring.

i like your words about cardano and this is a reaslistic opinion,
but, i think its hard to find the next ethereum now, because a lot of altcoins claimed as the next ethereum but the fact, there is no altcoins can be the next ethereum
More realistic opinon is Polkadot, the development is going fast, so many people hype it up and the teams are so active. But, if you want a lot more realistic opinion then ETH will always stay as 2nd largest coin and largest altcoin and the 3rd place will be for competition. Speaking truthfully, ETH already far beyond other alts in term of userbase, it was used for various digital transactions. well, before the fee becomes disgusting and many people choose to move over another alt.
945  Economy / Speculation / Re: You saw the BTC price WOULD YOU BUY!?............ on: January 17, 2021, 06:35:49 AM
Again, it's not a matter of right or wrong to buy expensive bitcoins, but about your investment style. if you are a day trader then it is not a problem as long as you can maintain your daily profit, but if you are a long-term holder, then it will be a little less profitable, because the essence of long-term investing is to buy dips and sell at a certain level of profit.
Buying dip is definitely the way to go for long term investment but I don't think buying bitcoin right now can be considered a bad strategy. You can see those investment firm buying bitcoin like buying ice cream and they won't let bitcoin price go down for sure considering how many money invested.
For now, it's hard for bitcoin to go down like it was in 2017 so I could consider there's no best time than the present, though ofcourse if we can find opportunity to buy dips why not?  Grin
946  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The fate of privacy cryptocurrencies on: January 16, 2021, 01:34:46 PM
...What is the fate of privacy coins? I am thinking these type of coins will find it difficult and can later all vanish and exist no more.

The list of exchanges that are delisting anonymous coins will only increase. And this will happen not only at the request of the state, as we have seen earlier in Japan and South Korea, but also by the exchange's own decision, as happened on the Bittrex exchange.

Its gonna make these privacy coin market cap smaller for sure but I dont think its gonna disappear. If coin like monero is used frequently within dark web then its still gonna be used for transaction despite all the bannings.I never went to any of the dark web but people said its land of p2p transaction without middlemen.
japan and south korea delisting is obviously gonna come but once the US could somehow reveal the supposedly untraceable coim becomes traceable that means doom for these privacy coins.
947  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The price of Bitcoin broke $40,000 for the first time. on: January 16, 2021, 08:03:45 AM

Bitcoin's volatility has been declining since its “crazy” ups and downs during the 2017-2018 period. Some pundits believe that this is a sign that the digital currency is finally "maturing".

I am sure the price of bitcoin this year will skyrocket
Sometimes I wonder and question it to myself whether the volatility has really decreased because of the market matures or it's just because the value of bitcoin is so high $5K down in matter of day is nothing strange any more.
I mean, if the  $5K correction like a week ago were to happen to bitcoin when the price is around $8K i'm pretty sure everyone gonna go crazy but because of its former price of $40K it just looks like a small correction.
Though I'm very sure that the market cap contributes a lot to the reduction of market volatility
948  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO, IEO, IDO, STO which best? on: January 15, 2021, 08:57:00 AM
currently ICOs have been largely abandoned by project developers, the reason is simple, namely the lack of trust from investors in selling projects that use ICOs and investors now prefer to invest in projects that do indeed do IEO as a means of raising funds, of course this is natural because of the large number of project Ico fraud that has occurred so far that makes investors prefer safe investment alternatives.
Not abandoned but rather very small portion of projects that needs funding goes to ICO because lets be real here, IEO other than giving the privilege to get listed almost instantly after IEO ends they also gives the promotion and marketing, the new projects which usually aren't popular and need to gain exposure need that badly and as a result it's more beneficial for project to join IEO although some portion of funding or tokens might go to the exchange.

ICO in the other hand if the project is really good and already anticipated. They don't need to go such length having negotiaton with exchange and could keep all the coin and funding they deserve to themselves (for developing purpose ofcourse.).
949  Economy / Economics / Re: Warren Buffett & "Rat Poison" on: January 14, 2021, 10:42:04 AM
Isnt there article saying that warren buffet isn't really interested in investing into tech? It's only normal if warren buffet is just analyzing based on whatever theories he has and don't really understand the tech behind bitcoin, heck even some middle aged people couldn't grasp the underlying technology if they aren't tech savvy enough and crypto as a whole is kinda complicated if you try to dive in.

Also, some really old people hardly accept any change and maybe warren buffet is one of them when it comes to digitalization and at this point I'd be more amazed if he changes his mind about cryptocurrency.
950  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins will reach all time high on 2021 on: January 14, 2021, 10:13:48 AM
i totally agree. when btc drop under 30k, altcoins will fly.
as in 2018, i am waiting same scenario, and there will be bloody months later.
Sometimes what I wonder is whether bitcoin really have correlation with alt season like is bitcoin dumping gonna make alt get pumped? I don't think there's clear correlation at all between btc and alt so saying that when btc drops alt goes up is just a speculation.
Not to mention there's history of alt being dumped because massive dump happens to BTC. Now try to see the market, BTC bull run accompanied by alt bull run which means the market pattern between btc and alt is not going opposite to each other  Roll Eyes.
951  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Govts would want to regulate exchanges much more! on: January 11, 2021, 05:53:32 AM
Government institutions will try to control the keys of the citizens that will sadly get caught in their mess and I do agree that technologically illiterate people will be the first to suffer and most of them have the most money. DEXes will also be painting a target when they become popular, government does not want someone that is hurting their cashflow in anyway.
If the "dex" we are talking about here truly a decentralized exchange I think best government can do is to ban the site or the platform however it could still be alive despite all the restrictions the government trying to enforce.

Otherwise p2p is the way to go and if that's what we got left maybe we need some kind of reliable middleman could be a new platform just to minimize scamming.
952  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will ETH break it's ATH? on: January 11, 2021, 04:09:14 AM
Down more than 20% kinda sad though we can't see ETH breaking past $2K because that's what we've been waiting since ages, though it might be just a flash dump and could recover anytime. I doubt it's gonna go down below $500 seeing the transaction fee still high meaning so much people still making transactions which means more trading volume i guess.
Coin ethereum is getting better and better every day, it is possible that Coin Eth will return to its like in 2017 in the near future.
If it's returning the same like it was in 2017 then its gonna be disaster, I'm talking about the fact that in the past it was all driven by hype and could be dumped to the very bottom once hype gone.
953  Economy / Speculation / Re: When and How much low on next Bear Market? on: January 10, 2021, 05:14:06 AM
I guess maximum is around $100K considering how the market condition anything could happen but I could hardly imagine BTC goes past $100K that easily though but maybe thats just me, if any bear market happening which i don't think it will then its gonna be a new low at around $20K-$30K, bitcoin can't afford to go lower than that because massive bitcoin buy by the large investment company they'd atleast make it hard for bitcoin to get dumped that low below $20K mark, thats just my opinion though.
954  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Partnerships must not be taken slightly on: January 10, 2021, 04:35:52 AM
The thing about partnership is how the people who can get such access are mostly privileged people. Some average joe who has this really good idea and business execution but have no relation whatsoever to the popular partner might just get wasted if people just judge the quality of a project from their partnership.

But guess what, most of people who have success usually privileged in the first place and have those things that support their success revolves around them so I guess thats just how business works  Roll Eyes . In my opinion, partner is important yes, but there's also many things more important to it. if the investor really want to see how the project could change the world for the better they should consider the technical aspect of a project not just merely seeking for profit which most of us are doing
955  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bitstamp starts to halt XRP trading on: January 09, 2021, 06:52:33 AM
Sooner or later most of the US based exchange gonna delist XRP or limit US customers from using it whether they are doing it willingly or not.
In their point of view I would assume that XRP is just not worth that much the hassle to keep and better moving on reserving a place to list a maybe less-popular coin but doesnt bring any problem and bitstamp not the end of this delisting train.
956  Economy / Speculation / Re: Big BTC price correction incoming???? on: January 09, 2021, 04:22:30 AM
now it has broken $40K again after some dip, guess to sell and reenter was the best way to double the profit but it's kinda too late, none of us really see this coming about btc price skyrocketing really fast from $30K to $40k it's actually kinda crazy. I wonder whether there's gonna be some big correction but it's all fifty-fifty chance for that to happen

btc is erally unpredictable at this time around.
957  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins seem like they could be the way to go on: January 08, 2021, 09:50:09 AM
the massive pump within a week really makes ETH holder got the jackpot I mean 60% increase that's just wow. ETH might keep increasing considering how busy the blockchain traffic is that makes the gas fee astronomically high which means bag holding might still be a good idea not to mention how some fund management company trying to diversify their portfolio by buying some alts and the fact that xrp got massive delist which their share of market cap might goes to ETH.
958  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto just hit $1 trillion market cap! on: January 07, 2021, 11:12:20 AM
Gold market is $10 Trillion (roughly) which means if it takes bitcoin a decade to get to $1 Trillion then it's not too long until we reach the same market cap as Gold if all these mass adoption goes on because bitcoin and altcoins marketcap growth is exponential and it's not an impossible thing to reach that much of a market cap for the whole cryptocurrency within 2 decades.
Man, it's getting exciting to see crypto market as a whole evolve into a more mature market  Shocked.
959  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's the point of so many cryptocurrencies? on: January 07, 2021, 07:07:41 AM
Each crypto usually serves their founder vision and purpose and we fancy open source community when it gives freedom for people to hardfork every crypto there as their will. These many cryptocurrencies are overwhelming indeed but you can just ignore them and stick to those coins that you really want to invest or just to observe.
It's like you know the startup fever, everyone want to create startup and i bet there's hundred thousands startups created out there and for the most part you can just ignore them and just observe what interest you.
960  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH high gas fee on: January 05, 2021, 09:27:09 AM
High gas fee will kill you if you only have small amount of tokens especially if the tokens are only cost a small value in dollar,

you need to pay more than the amount that you are expecting to exchange the coins, you'll need to wait till the fees went down,

unless you are willing to sell it out for nothing.

True, the fee by using eth just doesnt cut it, its definitely unfair for those with relatively small amount of money and when it comes to using decentralized exchange, there's just too much hassle we need to go through and that spell a lot more smart contract execution which equals to a lot more money being wasted just for "transportation" it's really irritating. They said ETH 2.0 sharding will take effect but man if it's already taking some effect then its as good as without it.
