941  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Older men vs Younger boys in gambling, Which enjoys Gambling for fun the more? on: January 26, 2024, 10:22:00 PM
Younger boys enjoy things but with a money problem because they're young and not yet stable with employment.

While the older men, you see them enjoy every single thing that they want to do in life. You see them go around and buy stuff that they like and so is activities like gambling.

Both enjoys their own thing but the latter has been enjoying as if there's no need to think of any problem upon spending their money or even losing it.

It's sad that we're not going to see Steph on this all stars night. I'm feeling bad about him but was this the decision of voting made by fans, right?

I think the dynasty is over and they need to figure out some way to sign Giannis.
That's pretty much it is.

It's just going to be a matter of time until we see some talks again about him going to GSW. But it's a bargain for GSW if it happens, together with his brother.  Cheesy
943  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gaurd yourself this year against crypto scams on: January 26, 2024, 09:16:31 PM
As much as many newbies invest to different cryptocurrencies, they won't invest on Bitcoin only. That's the fact that I've seen for so many of them.

They want to maximize their profit as they say because they will say that it's quite late investing in Bitcoin. So, what they do is they're on the search on the next crypto that will give them short term profit.

And having said that, the bad thing for many of them is that they're falling to scam projects just because for having that thought that they might make some money out of it.
944  Other / Off-topic / Re: Offline games on: January 26, 2024, 03:30:26 PM
I just want to get the sentiment of those who have played Palworld here. It's a new game craze like Pokemon inspired game, I've just watched some videos of it and I found it interesting.

I've also done my research if it's available to play offline and it said yes. I want to know if someone who has played the game can verify if it's doable and playable offline. I want to play solo and that's what I've been doing at most times.

Just making sure before I do the purchase.
945  Other / Off-topic / Re: I found a kitten on: January 25, 2024, 11:59:24 PM
I found a stray kitten just in my backyard. It's a public holiday where I live so nothing is open. I am wondering what I can do? What do kittens eat?
Try to give milk first.

It is relatively active with enough energy so I think it hasn't been too long since it has been separated from its mother. I am keeping a look out to see if the mother turns up.
As long as it's fed, it's not going to be a problem but if you can find the mother cat much better.

Nothing so far. I searched up on google and it said to try scrambled eggs and cooked meat. I might try the eggs. Any other suggestions?
I haven't fed my cats and kittens with egg. But if they like the smell and taste, they'll eat. That's how I fed my cats, usually even veggies if they like the smell they'll eat it.

But it's still little so give a taste of milk. I have a lot of stray cats and I love them but what saddens me is when they are already grown up, you can't control them and if they'd go, they'd go.
946  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do not use more than 2x leverage on: January 25, 2024, 11:22:46 PM
I guess there is one point of Vitalik's life that he did more than 2x leverage and he lost and he's done with it. It's a good advise for someone who's conservative in investing but in trading, traders should also consider what he's said.

If someone is going to follow his advise, that's good and it helped what he said. But if not, no matter who's saying these advises, we're on our own as we trade.

Good thing with Vitalik is that, he's got his own platform through his social media and I am sure that many newbies that admires him follows him a lot.
Trading with leverage will certainly increase your potential profits, but it should be perform wisely, otherwise you will lose all your funds in just a blink of an eye. Probably that’s why Vitalik made it as a financial advise because majority of the traders or investors still lose in the process, most particularly for those who take leverage.
It is not for everyone and that's why he's advising to just go on a safe route with minimal risk.

However, if you are still beginning to learn the process, it would be much better to stay away using leverage, you can safely trade or invest without compromising its own risk.
Stay on the spot and don't do leverage. Whether it's 2x or more, if you're not used to it and it's best to avoid it because not everyone survives the trauma of being liquidated.

It's the most painful thing that you'll ever get with your trades if you just so don't know about it as a beginner.
947  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: January 25, 2024, 10:56:40 PM
Since Indiana Pacers acquired Pascal Siakam, they've been into losses. That's to be expected as there's not going to be easy chemistry with every transfer.

Everyone got surprised with what happened with Adrian Griffin, but I think it has something to do with the players-coach connection since the Milwaukee Bucks front office mentioned about him not being the right man for the job, so most likely the decision was influenced by the players disliking their head coach for some reason.
If the coach and the players aren't agreeing in many things, the management have to step on it. But at the same time, both of these people can be professional on their jobs.

And if still not working on, the team itself is going to be affected a lot and that's why the management has resorted with that solution.
948  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: January 25, 2024, 10:25:47 PM
For Dota , the prize money on this one is big in my opinion as 1st place takes home 300k
This is the typical prize pool for a $1M tournament that once we called the 'majors' but they don't call it majors anymore.

but also a direct invite to Esports World Cup , an event who will have his first phase this year and as far as we know , the prize pool on that one will be similar to Riyadh Masters.  Shocked
I've msised the Esports World Cup but basically, the prize pool on that tournament isn't that much compared to Riyadh Masters. AFAIK, the two huge prize pool last year was Riyadh Masters and then the TI. I don't see any detail about the EWC but if compared in the past, they don't have much compared to the two.
949  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if you plan to buy BTC for big money: Would you reuse a tested address? on: January 25, 2024, 09:53:43 PM
But for the sake of your anonymity then just have to choose another address with that private keys that you own.
Using fresh addresses is good for privacy, but just that alone does not make you anonymous. Even the BTC blockchain is public and transparent and then if you send your funds into centralized exchanges, you obviously no longer have any privacy to protect.
Yeah, when you send btc and it steps to the exchanges then you're no longer anonymous and they've got an idea already on who you are since most exchanges today require kyc unless you use the non-kyc.

If you want anonymity or a much better privacy, you must first be running your own node, once you connect to third party servers, the host already has information about your IP and your BTC address, you must also use p2p exchanges and privacy solutions like CoinJoin implementations.
I agree, solutions like that will increase your privacy.

I have used my wallet address many times. If the amount was more than $15,000-30,000, then I will create a new address.
Well, it does not really matter at all but on this case just as what everyone is telling. You do what makes you feel safe and private.
950  Other / Off-topic / Re: The difference between entrepreneurship and small business on: January 25, 2024, 09:24:16 PM
Entrepreneurship is one ultimate reason behind economic development of a nation.
Whis this is true but as you've said, they're coming from small during the introduction and that means that they're considered small businesses.

So, if we're going to analyze and generalized this. The entrepreneurs that have small businesses and started it from the bottom have a total impact to one's economy.

And don't forget about the policies that are being made by the politicians and how the leaders are putting them into implementation also has a big role.
951  Other / Off-topic / Re: Crypcie - online exchange without borders! on: January 24, 2024, 11:56:22 PM
Is this an exchange service? If so, then it doesn't belong to this section because this is Off-topic, we've got a dedicated section for exchanges.

And that's the actual Exchanges section --> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=223.0

I would advise you to move this thread there and be part of the other exchanges that are posted there as their official announcement thread.
952  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if you plan to buy BTC for big money: Would you reuse a tested address? on: January 24, 2024, 11:18:57 PM
It doesn't matter, what matters is that you have the private keys secured and it's not compromised. But for the sake of your anonymity then just have to choose another address with that private keys that you own.

Whichever works for you the best since it is your own money, do it for you.

Just don't use exchanges for keeping with that amount.
953  Other / Off-topic / Re: Have you ever lost someone who is sincere and good at advising Bitcoin. on: January 24, 2024, 10:57:02 PM
Condolence, I was thinking that it could be some of your close friends or like a mentor but yeah, you've answered it too that it was more than of those and it's your dad.

My dad prolly didn't even know that he's supporting me with this stuff that I do and that's what I've realized while reading your thread, OP.

Rest in peace to your dad.
954  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Hidden Portals on: January 24, 2024, 10:20:37 PM
Hello! I've heard about a very mysterious cryptocurrency buying/selling portal. I haven't found its name indexed on any search engine, social media platform, or internet forum. Registration is exclusively by invitation, and as far as I know, they are buying Tether at 10% above its value.

The topic has sparked my curiosity. I don't want to share the URL because, since I haven't seen it anywhere on the entire internet, I don't want to be the first one to write it down Cheesy

Do you know about these types of portals, or can you provide more information on how and why they operate like this? Who is involved, and why are they selling Tether at these values?
They are buying with a premium price for Tether +10% of its market value?

Sounds fishy that they're buying that and it is not new that you've got get into this "hidden portal" or whatever they call it.

If you don't want to get scammed, you better just get on the actual market and exchanges to avoid some problems that you might regret dealing with if you continue this.
955  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: January 24, 2024, 09:47:01 PM
Nigma already got their next members in. Its Fbz and Matthew from SA, I believe Matthew used to be a captain as well so he could probably spit out some sense into Kuroky's numb skull
Matthew is a good one.

And if Kuro is going to pass on his captaincy on him then that's much better as for the team to have a fresher mind. But on this one, it is for sure that he'll still be a captain.

While for Matthew, this is a good exposure for him as he get to play and explore another region coming from the South America region.
956  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: January 24, 2024, 09:10:18 PM
Like many people have already said, investment fund should be separated from funds for basic needs thereafter emergency funds should also be kept for optimal management of the investment portfolio. This way there will be no pressures to sell even if the price drop because there is the confidence that Bitcoin will always recover with time.
I agree.

Because what happens when your entire investment like if you're holding Bitcoin is your entire wealth, there is a big tendency that you will be forced to sell it at a time that you're not willing to sell but you have to.

That's why when we invest, make sure that we've got funds as well like emergency funds or extra funds that will be touched and protect our assets like in Bitcoin if unforeseen times comes.
957  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: January 24, 2024, 08:37:27 PM
I am seeing lately a lot of emotional posts on socmed about D'Los transfer. Well, it's painful to see a good player like him to be that much emotional but this is just temporary emotion and he'll get to move on with that soon.
What's important to him is he's at good shape and prove the LAs management that they've traded the wrong guy that have passion for the sport and the team that he's playing with.

It's just sad to see someone who really loves playing for the franchise but is about to become the primary piece for a trade. DLo was playing spectacular from the last couple of games. I guess, he's trying to boost his trade value to get traded for a good piece and land to a better team, a playoff contender team. It maybe just a speculations but it does really looks like Rui and DLo's demeanor after the game is really off and that something is about to happen to them. I honestly hate how the Lakers have been changing their roster to try to make it better ever year. If these guys get traded, I only hope DLo and Rui to drain 3s and defeat the Lakers with their possible new team lol.
His records and performances were no doubt at his best and together with Rui Hachimura, both them were loved by the LA fans.

But if the Lakers management doesn't see their worth, they can't do anything with that and a transfer is going to happen no matter what type of love they show for the franchise. That's it in the NBA.  Undecided
958  Economy / Economics / Re: How to stay poor! on: January 24, 2024, 07:53:56 PM
There is no good reason to choose to remain poor, as poverty can bring different challenges in life.
Education, skills development and efforts to improve personal economic conditions can help avoid poverty.
No one wants to be poor forever and that's why many are trying their best to get out of it by doing those things in their capacity that shall bring them good life in the future.

First start off with having a good education but what OP is trying to tell if you want to be poor forever, you should yourself if you're doing a bad habits through on what he has mentioned.

Managing finances wisely, investing in education and seeking opportunities to increase income are steps that can help achieve financial stability.
And this is the opposite on how to stay poor, this is way on uplifting our lives.
959  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My btc full year plan 2024 on: January 24, 2024, 07:21:58 PM
I am bullish more on 2025 than this year. But if you hit those price you have said, are you really going to sell when you do see them?

Because for me, I'd sell if I need to and I have to but I have my plan that's long term and will definitely going to do it even if they're not the actual prices that I have set.

I can be wrong with btc monthly low or high price like 5000$ but with this i can still make profit enough.
But yes you need to learn and to talk with people who have good knowledge of market.
If you're a trader, that's your advantage when you've got a lot of network as that can be sources of news that you can use to decide.
960  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What You will do in this situation? on: January 24, 2024, 06:50:51 PM
I'd say to do the cleaning job first before anything else. If I'm paying them to clean then they need to be honest with their jobs and finish it first before doing some bets.

And then, after that, when the job is done then I'd highly talk about how he started to gamble and what his preference aside from that.

If my words stick to him then if we meet again, we'll talk about what has happened whether he has listened or not.
