981  Economy / Reputation / Re: P2PB2B - resolving "scam alerts" and misunderstandings on: November 28, 2019, 05:12:46 PM
By looking at the accusations against your exchange, I think it would hardly take you some years to solve this all or probably never.

Just a good luck from me for your fake fight !
The same can be said for pretty much any exchange; don't let your bias cloud your judgement and let them try to resolve their issues rather than attacking them for trying.

983  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BEWARE OF SUPER SCAM: P2PB2B claim to be worlds biggest exchange ! on: November 28, 2019, 02:17:46 PM
Escrow would at least ensure that campaign participants don't get scammed, so that's a good thing.

As for the exchange itself - I don't have a strong opinion yet. It certainly seems shady AF, similar "customer is always wrong" attitude like Livecoin or Yobit. I haven't had time to look through all the accusations to gauge how credible they are but if I was taking an escrow role I would probably want to spend some time on that in order to form an opinion.
Thanks for the input. The situation doesn't seem as bad as with Livecoin or Yobit, and they seem to be willing to address the accusations that they can before the campaign starts. I'll wait for that.

We plan to create a topic in which we will analyze each complaint individually. To ultimately resolve all current misunderstandings.
Thanks. This would probably enable me to help you.
984  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ITO] WPP ENERGY TOKEN - TOKEN TO BE TIED TO THE VALUE OF H2 on: November 28, 2019, 02:00:07 PM
wow is this news WPP rose to 59.73% ?, very lucky if someone bought it at a low price then,
but I do not know about 2₵ents, what are the benefits of WPP if 2₵ents are in the WPP Store? thanks  Wink
Read everything again. The store has pegged the price at which it values WPP to 2 cents and invites the market to push the store price higher eventually.
985  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Quick question about the verison number on: November 27, 2019, 01:23:27 PM
My personal opinion: Bitcoin is still in beta because of these (761 open issues: https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/issues).
This is an uneducated, and wrong opinion. No really active project ever will reach 0 number of issues, unless nobody is using it nor testing it. Most really active projects do indeed all have tens if not hundreds of open issues (and PRs). That's not the reason.

1) There are still a bunch of pending issues.
See above.

2) They are still tweaking some feature (BIP 70 in, BIP 70 out as an example) once you have a 1.x version taking out a feature in financial software can and has to take multiple years.
Taking out things is already taking years (not that it should in some cases). BIP 70 should have been removed ages ago, among other things. It gets discussed, agreed upon and then they wait. Then in some major revision they disable it on default (see, not yet removed). They remove it completely only in some subsequent major version. Years.

You need to look through Github discussions or read the IRC chats. Bitcoin software is by no means anywhere close to 1.0, if it ever gets there that is. This is just a flaw in most humans, you're trying to assign meaning to something meaningless like a 1.0 version number. If instead of 0.19.0.1, the last released version was released as 1.0. What difference would there be? None whatsoever (other than an play on emotions - look at the part about the flaw again above).

They're running a signature campaign now: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5203715.0
Oh dear. A Yobit II type PR disaster.....
I was asked to escrow the new campaign to ensure that there are no issues here. What's the consensus here? I can't attest to the volume, but if I start tagging for fake volume then I'd have to tag >99% of the exchanges?
I remember Yahoo opened a topic about managing Yobit campaign and asking suggestion from the forum users. My advice to do same thing.
I'm not managing anything. They're gonna run the campaign with or without an escrow anyway. Lips sealed

I understand they want to improve his trust here, but I think the signature campaign can't help if they ignore user complaints.
Disclaimer: I know next to nothing about these accusations at the time of writing this. However, this comes back to my post regarding a flag on some exchange not long ago. Most exchanges are going to ignore these complaints, and we don't have sufficient access to verify anything which leads to this problem. They asked for help, and I almost provided it before I saw this. Whatever people decide is the right choice, I'm fine with that.
987  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: I would like to offer Bitcoin as a checkout option. on: November 27, 2019, 10:31:08 AM
For the love of Bitcoin, never ever recommend anyone to use Bitpay. They are terrible, incompatible with many wallets and will censor vendors and users on demand.

Coinbase is the same as bitpay. Maybe even worse, as you won't even have the privatekeys of your funds and they are strictly regulated, freeze account funds at will and so on
Same type of service, but Bitpay is by far a bigger sell-out and can't be trusted with anything.

Also, learn to read. Arakne will trade my 3 btc, the gunbot you advertise will trade your 3 btc.
Stop quoting this and/or offering it because it is impossible. Gunbot does not claim to offer ridiculous gains; it merely serves to automate your own trading strategies (you set indicators, you run it yourself).
Enough of this already.

If their kind has done anything wrong it is GOOD,but if others ,nah you're out and you'll get red tagged as usual theymos wont do actions taken for granted like the lauda's gang abuses.
Is 'Lauda's gang' still a thing? I thought we were past that bullshit after Lauda was removed from DT1.
Me removing myself from DT is insufficient as I control theymos, clearly.
992  Other / Meta / Re: BAN REQUEST for TMAN cause RACISM and excessive vulgar speaking on: November 26, 2019, 05:22:00 PM
Do you really think insulting can be done in a proper way? Insulting is by its definition inappropriate.
Quote
What qualifies as an insult is also determined both by the individual social situation and by changing social mores. Thus on one hand the insulting "obscene invitations of a man to a strange girl can be the spicy endearments of a husband to his wife".
Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Insult.

For me, they're very much appropriate and fun. For you, and some others they may not be. This is why they're part of free-speech; controversy as Loyce said it.
993  Other / Meta / Re: BAN REQUEST for TMAN cause RACISM and excessive vulgar speaking on: November 26, 2019, 05:05:43 PM
This is just trolling. You can make your argument without resorting to this sort of childishness.
Neither insults nor trolling is childish. That is not a valid argument and has been used ad-nauseam against both. It's fun to read if you're in the right mood, especially when it is on-point like here.
In your opinion, which I'd question if you think phrases like "pasta fucking pizza wanking twat" and obscene 'your mom' jokes aren't immature dialogue. Hardly witty insults are they? Regardless of how fun you think it is, he's clearly doing it to agitate and it's unnecessary and derailing threads.
That is a very common, proper way, of using British insults. I don't see how culture-differentiated way of insulting should be labelled childish. Are American insults childish too? As long as he's primarily on-topic, the insults should be deemed proper-use of the posting function (and not derailing exactly because it's on-topic). Solely insulting posts are, however, likely to be derailing (but this doesn't have to be the case either). You can answer a proper question, with a proper insult and it's still a valid response. Regarding complete derailing, I'm certain that we have some observable instances of much worse members that are not being dealt with. So why should TMAN?
994  Other / Meta / Re: BAN REQUEST for TMAN cause RACISM and excessive vulgar speaking on: November 26, 2019, 04:44:34 PM
Is anyone else not readying more than two words of these blobs, or is it just me?
995  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: CryptoSparks is a liar and misrepresents his data on: November 26, 2019, 04:19:49 PM
Don't forget to add this link for automatic flag support in OP:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;flag=752;support
I can barely understand what Cryptosparks is being accused of doing since I don't understand exactly what's being offered in the thread TMAN linked to.  That's because of my own tech-ignorance, and I admit that.

I would be happy to merit someone who could explain to me in a dumbed-down fashion what the API key thing is, what kind of bot Cryptosparks is offering (I assume it's a trading bot), and whether it even could be legit.  Promising a fixed return like he seems to be doing sets off all sorts of alarms in my head, simply because that's a hallmark of Ponzi schemes.  The merit offer is valid to anyone except OP and Cryptosparks just to keep it fair.
Anything that promises a fixed guaranteed return of over 5-10% per year is very likely going to be a scam. Data has taught us this much. The specifics of the service don't really matter if the guaranteed offer is ridiculous IMO.
996  Other / Meta / Re: BAN REQUEST for TMAN cause RACISM and excessive vulgar speaking on: November 26, 2019, 04:14:12 PM
Since when racism is freedom ?
Your freedom ends when you are limiting other's freedom!

Racism and hate speech are the very definition of free speech. Whether it has social consequences or not is something else entirely.
997  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: CryptoSparks is a liar and misrepresents his data on: November 26, 2019, 03:49:16 PM
big man, or female, or... whatever the hell you are:

why you can't accept my bet? missing 3 btc ?

I have a better proposition, since you are promoting that dummy bot:

I put 3 BTC in a new bitmex account and let it manage by my weakest bot( Arakne) for 1 month.

You put 3 BTC in a new bitmex account and let it manage by GunBot for 1 month.

Both account need to have READ ONLY API KEY ALWAYS ENABLED. All trades are also posted on a dedicated thread. Only XBT Perpetual Swap Contracts.

Whatever bot makes the biggest ROI at the end of the 30 days, wins all funds. [/b]
Stop quoting this and/or offering it because it is impossible. Gunbot does not claim to offer ridiculous gains; it merely serves to automate your own trading strategies (you set indicators, you run it yourself).
998  Other / Meta / Re: BAN REQUEST for TMAN cause RACISM and excessive vulgar speaking on: November 26, 2019, 03:37:06 PM
listen here you stupid little pasta fucking pizza wanking twat - an API Key is not a Bitcoin private key and you offering a guaranteed return for a bot is stupid. add onto the fact you want people to load a Bitmex account and give you full access gives me the right to call you anything I fucking want.

you are a twat - a cunt - a waste of space and a scammer. If this forum wasn't full of greedy and innocent people I wouldn't have to call you out, but I do - same as any other person who has spoken out against you.
Is the swearing necessary? And this sort of ad hominem would be against the rules (not to mention derailing threads):
If you take a closer look, it's an on-topic post makes with a lot of insults. It's fine as is.

This is just trolling. You can make your argument without resorting to this sort of childishness.

Is just sad man, we are in bitcoin for decentralization and big ideals...while this is what this forum has become.
This sounds oddly familiar to what most Ponzi-scammers in the past would complain about (not claiming you are one here; it just smells familiar). Roll Eyes

In my opinion, moderators should ban a user that does all of the following:
- creates baseless accusations for signature spam
This is untrue. His posts are unrelated to his campaign nor his signature. The manager can confirm this, so don't try using it when it isn't the case.
So the funny thing is. TMAN attacks CryptoSparks. I give me experience with his service and than I am labeled as his alt account. And now you, Lauda, is backing up TMAN. So should I act the same and label u as alts? This TMAN user is tellinb a bunch of nonsense and is insulting me and other users on the forum. That should not be a standard DT user.
Whataboutism. I'm just pointing out inaccuracies. I'm fine with insults from anyone towards anyone. Where are all those virtue-signalling free-speech saints now? Cheesy
