981  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Finsbury Park attack:one dead in 'potential terrorist attack' near London mosque on: June 21, 2017, 08:39:25 PM

Sounds like you are projecting your biases on others.  Slow down on your Black Power BS.
We are talking about ideas, not race.

No matter what you think of others, it does not change the fact that Islam is a mother lode of really bad ideas.

BTW, I studied the Bible, read Talmud and the Quran/Hadiths.  All three are the most vile books ever written.  Anybody who tells you otherwise either did not read them or is simply lying.

Any ideology/religion that says "us vs them" is fundamentally wrong.  It can and will be used to teach hate.

Well, I have studied the texts of the Abrahamics as well, as I have studied the Key of Solomon, the Necromnicon. I have read translated codexs.  I plainly disagree, they are all beautiful texts (the Abrahamics) that provide a framework for peace and compassion. Our father Abraham made sure of this. This is why his name is attributed to those works. Although this may mean little to you, it means a lot to me, and our difference of opinion is fine. It's what makes all this shit so beautiful, the fact that you and I are such different things in the same world.

All ideologies, at their most extreme end of scale, engender an 'us vs them' attitude. It ties to esotericism, but you must reveal this truth to yourself. Hence esoteric Wink

You are a nationalist, yes? Is this school of ideology not the literal definition of 'us vs them'? Do you feel that your views and opinions influences by said ideology are 'fundamentally wrong'?

Provide a text that you believe is 'not vile'. Genuinely curious Wink

You are talking about race, not ideas. Be plain sir. We have had fellow humans perish for things that they had no say in, if that injustice doesn't strike you as a travesty, maybe you should reconsider your definition of vile.

This is not an ad hominem.

You want religion.  Try Jainism.

If you think those books are not vile, your moral compass is screwed up.

Here is a thread on Bible I started a while ago:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1367154

Chopping people's heads, hands, boiling children, slavery is vile IMHO.

Anyway, it best is to stay away from the religious nonsense.  It is nonsense no matter how loud you scream that is not.

Humanism, secular thought, science is the only way forward for humanity.

It is a historical record and a moral/ethical rubric with ritualistic observations of a higher power. I cannot apologize for the actions of those before me, as I had no input. History is indeed fucked up. And when I wake up every day and read the news, I see we may be due to repeat our mistakes. We apparently don't learn. That why you and I are talking right now Wink

Man is nothing without faith. You may have replaced my God with your Science, but we both need to understand that there is something greater than ourselves, lest our life have little meaning. The life of a bug has little meaning.

Are you a bug, afnewbie? (Can't underscore, on a phone, don't know how at least LOL)

Rational thought and faith are not mutually exclusive man. There is room in my world for you. Invite me to yours.

And I'm not a Luddite, I believe in technology/medicine. But I believe in a higher power. We are obviously created things.

Edit: used to ride the bus with a Jain and a Sikh. The Jain was a cute chick that was a grade above me, the Sikh a side a grade below me. Both cool as shit. I like meat a bit too much for Jainism, and I don't completely believe in overt pacifism. Never talked to Ramen about his faith, can't contribute.
982  Economy / Economics / Re: What do these new people getting rich off crypto mean to the economy at large? on: June 21, 2017, 07:33:52 PM
I apologize if this question is in any way naive.. I'm not really any kind of economics expert. I was just wondering what might happen to the world economy since there are so many new people getting rich off these cryptocurrencies... Just based off speculation or holding the right coins a lot of people have gained in wealth in the past years. And it doesn't seem to be slowing down.

So, you have a lot of 'new money' propagating even 'newer money'... and so on and so on, until a lot of people are pretty rich. Does this mean that there is a huge depression ahead of us? Surely just making more and more money can't go on forever, can it?

I'm sure I'm not seeing the big picture here so please, could someone explain it to me?

In a world of 7.4bn people where you already have some 35 million millionaires I don't see why 100~500 even 1000 new ones would make a huge difference. Add to that the billionaires which even if they have huge chunks of money they can't really change the world (only rule part of it Wink ) and you get the picture. There's just too much value created every day in every possible way to be consumed even by the richest.

I different a bit. While a lot of people will likely squander their money on bullshit, there will be some that use the immense capital gain to start serious businesses. Like Coinbase or Kraken, these are pretty large, decent hiring, tax paying corps that are generating revenue for the Fed and State in a meaningful way. That job creation, tax revenue and promotion of widespread adoption are some seriously positive takeaways. Not the biggest chunk of Mammon in the world, but a nice one, at least.

I'll be honest and say the majority of early adopter bitcoin will be used on Thai hookers and blow. But 1 or 2 people incentivized to use the value the right way, could effect a huge change.
983  Economy / Economics / Re: Mining coins save or sell it? on: June 21, 2017, 07:24:25 PM
Mining in bitcoin is indeed a source of income that has little risk of loss if compared with trade.
It might be better if mining results from bitcoin are kept as a form of investment.

The main risk is the rising difficulty. It has risen a lot recently. It might be better to just buy and hold.
From my point of view that, mining coin should be used for the future purpose, if you want to keep it for the future then it will bring to you massive amount of money, so Bitcoin mining should be saved.
Mining coin also can be considered as an investment so coin should be kept for the better output...

That is what I am doing. I save most and spend some.
The miners are saving coins for a future purpose that is why the demand is increasing in the market, and the price is increasing. If they sell and make money, then we can not see this much increase in bitcoin price. I am not minor but let me try these many people said it is more profitable. But I need big capital that I don't have. Let's see when I will create my first rig and start to save bitcoins.

Slightly off topic, I remember reading an article somewhere saying shady types were paying a small premium on 'virgin' coins, that is, coins that have not been moved extensively since they were mined, sold on paper wallets. I assume this would be one of the ways to remain truly anon, it seems a little over the top to me. Is anyone aware if this is still a thing?

This might be some Reddit bullshitery, but I feel like I came across this on one of the bitcoin news sites.
984  Economy / Economics / Re: How to double your money using BTC? on: June 21, 2017, 07:19:14 PM
Here is my methodology to double your money using BTC:

1. Invest whatever amount of fiat which you want to invest in BTC. Let's say $100 or $500.
2. Wait until the exchange rates increase by 100%.
3. Convert your coins back to fiat, at 100% profit.

Quite simple. Isn't it?  Grin
So easily you said, but this wants to work out in real life. Suppose If we buy $500 worth of bitcoins today then when it is going to double? Today price is $2600 1 BTC, so if I want to make my investment double I need to wait for until the Bitcoin price reaches $5200 is this easy? And how much time it will take? What you said it's right, but it takes a long time to make double profit.

Here's a surefire way to double your money, since these markets are some of the most highly manipulated markets one can participate in...

1) Send your bitcoin to an exchange.

2) Buy ETH with it.

3) Use that ETH to purchase some random ETH crowdsale token.

4) Sell it in the inevitable 3-4x hype bubble that is every cryptocutrency asset (we go full retard, every time. Observe BAT, SNT, REP.. back to NEOBEE, ASICMINER, SATOSHIDICE)

5) Convert back to bitcoin, and you're all done Smiley

That was easy Wink

Or you can pass go and just send it all to me. I have property in sunny Nicaragua that's a bargain, I promise. Easy 100x returns, guaranteed.
985  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Putin-Backed Russian Priest Says Beards Protect Men from Being Gay on: June 21, 2017, 05:43:43 PM
LOL, so being able to grow beard would protect you from being gay? What if you are one of those guys that can't grow a beard, automatic gay? I've seen some fully bearded butch queens strutting on their heels before, doesn't seem to do them any help.  Grin

Me i just stuff a "RapeX" up my ass.. good luck pounding my star fish gays !

WTF is that!!!  Grin

I suppose this would work on women, they stuff tampons and other stuff up there anyway. So, this would no be visible to the rapist? What if it gets lost in there? I mean, even tampons have string to pull them out.

Dude, I'm not sure how a guy version of this would work without it getting lost inside or being detected by the rapist. If you try to make it look like you got a condom stuck in there, they might just pull it out.

This blew my fucking mind.

This thing is like a bear trap for a dick. A fucking jigsaw death trap for a guys junk. I poured over this picture, simply intrigued. This, is a woman scorned. This is the reason you dont piss of females, they bring shit like this to the gestalt.

Look at the teeth on that motherfucker. Those are giant plastic fish hooks. Giant plastic fucking fish hooks. Im not really into rape, but I shudder to know that thing lurks among us, taking out more dick than Bobbitt at a Ronco knife convention. An iron maiden, made specifcally for penis.

If neccesity breeds invention, sweet Jesus, what the fuck type of necessity bred that?

And I have the best mental image of a random woman furiously scribbling schematics and cackling. This made my day. Worse.

987  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Africa should be nuked, all evil originated there on: June 21, 2017, 02:54:58 PM
Your mind is very inviting fight. Evil are organized everywhere, it's so unfair that you judge that all evil are organized in Africa. You will not know life there before you feel it. Clean your mind first, your heart before you clean up anything else.

Although OP is clearly fucking insane, as evidenced by the shit spree/topic selection, he or she does have a point. I made an argument to EchoYuHatesBlacks about the origination of civilization from Africa (side note: strong suspect this is the same dude). Just realized that evil originated with man (posted recently in the 'one world currency = bitcoin thread). The mark of the beast is indeed the mark of man. Evil originated in the Garden, the Garden was the source of us all. So where man came from, surely was the source. Since I agree that's Africa, I begrudging agree with this thread title.

You get a reluctant cookie.

988  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How did Americans get so damn stupid? on: June 21, 2017, 02:48:40 PM
That depends, are we talking about North Americans or South Americans?

US.  Smiley
I guess the government takes care of your basic needs and the stupid can flourish. Natural selection has been taken out of the picture.

I'm American, and not offended. Y'all have every right to be mad Wink

We aren't stupid. But our lowest common denominator is ignorant as fuck. A little while ago, our media started to realize that they could define truth, through consensus. All media outlets abuse this particular weakness of public attention, but some outlets disseminate highly biased, partisan news that is not politically correct or even factually correct, for that matter. Half of our population feels so marginalized that they take comfort in this 'news' that makes them afraid of their neighbors and fellow citizens, because a lobbying agency told a media outlet to tell them those people are trying to hurt them. They vote for idiot ass policies that ultimately harm them, but it's OK; the media, the 'real' media (you have to define yourself as the only voice of truth if you want people to accept your lies as consensus) said it was for your best interest.

You will always be defined as a group, by tour lowest common denominator. It doesn't matter if it's ten people to a million, but a group will always be characterized by its weakest link.

Ask a Black person or a Muslim.

It's America's time to eat shit. The current state of America is the will of the people Wink As my favorite current president once said, along with my favorite book, 'you reap what you sow'.

I don't think we want this harvest.

989  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Finsbury Park attack:one dead in 'potential terrorist attack' near London mosque on: June 21, 2017, 02:31:55 PM
Why is it every time someone would cite statistics on Islam, y'all always choose some bigoted, biased ass site to cite as 'facts', yet will completely ignore  academic studies by universities, or commissioned reports by the fucking government? Fake new my Black ass, you guys refuse to see the truth. It is not for me to judge you. Your reward will come at the end if your days Wink

Hand raised for everyone in this thread that actually knows a Muslim person, not someone you pass on the fucking street, but a friend, a coworker. Go say all this stupid shit to their face Wink get put on Facebook looking like a goddamned fool, so you can lose your job.

Y'all sound like bigoted assholes. Fucking people died. Stop being a fucking racist people, and have some fodsames compassion for your fellow fucking humans.

990  Economy / Economics / Re: If USD falls on: June 21, 2017, 01:44:19 PM
Like many powerful currencies in the past, USD may fall to ground too, my question is will that effect BTC value? Or is it independent of all other real world or non digital currencies of the world?

For one, the USD will never devalue. The world will prop up the dollar because the dollar simply cannot fail; too much of the global market depends on the dollar, and all would suffer if the dollar significantly devalued.  Entertaining your hypothetical however, you would see precious metals and cryptocutrencies spike to the fucking moon as people used them as safe haven assets. That wouldn't be that great though, because the global calamity that a dollar crash would cause would outstrip the warm fuzzy feeling from making 30x profit. Stock markets would crash globally, inflation would go rampant on USD pegged fiats, and we would no longer be able to repay our debt, which would eventually kill our credit rating. This would have a tremendous effect on our bond markets, not a good one.

991  Other / Politics & Society / Re: One World Government? Bitcoin is the future currency? on: June 21, 2017, 01:33:59 PM
Is it almost the time where our world will be one and the people will be attached with the RFID's and also a one world currency?
Mark of the beast, the word mark in greek word means stamp. In the bible, Revelation Chapter 13: 16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six. Is this the start of the One world government? The implant microchips or the RFID's that makes them control the people of what they do and track them where they are. If ever the time comes will bitcoin survive in the future or not. No one knows

Let's explore. I'm Christian, have thought about this at length.

1) bitcoin is decentralized
If we unite under a global government, we would pretty much have to adopt a fiat, or something issued from a centralized authority

2) wallet addresses wouldn't make good tattoos

3) the global state of Politics is not ready for the cooperation required to foster a world government

4) there are no actors present that meet the qualifications for the Christian or Islamic Antichrist.

5) Israel and Palestine have not made peace.

Basically, aside from bitcoin not being suited to be a national currency (no crypto will be, unless you can print fiat off the blockchain, this would be the last choice, in its present form. Moreso, the signs of the times don't seem like they are anywhere near coming to pass, we are too fractious at the moment.

And something I've always found interesting: the mark of the beast and the mark of man are the same, 666.
992  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin be used in space? on: June 20, 2017, 11:43:09 PM
I am also just wandering will astronauts need bitcoin or other money in their travelling through the Universe?

Alright, let's consider that. You need money to purchase things, it's symbolic tokenized value.

What would you purchase in space, and from whom?

Another caveat. Money on Earth, fiat at least,  tends to be small pieces of paper or small disc of metal. Assuming we contacted intelligent life,  and for some odd reason they were itching at the bits to sell shit to a new alien race they has just met, what would they do with small pieces of paper and little pieces of metal?

Fiat is only a symbolic store of wealth, just like bitcoin. They have no real world functionality, bitcoin is even worse for this than fiat. Unless you are going to start a fire with a stack of tender, or plink dimes at children's heads at the park, money is only good for being money. Our money used to be made out of useful materials like gold and silveer, but meh Wink You can't manipulate specie like you can numbers in a database..

TLDR: The aliens won't be able to make change.
993  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could Bitcoin ever replace conventional money? on: June 20, 2017, 11:34:59 PM
No, I think that it can't. It could be used along with traditional money but it can't entirely replace it. Unfortunately bitcoin has to many issues, weeknesses and characteristics that don't allow it to be fully used and implemented in traditional financial system. Volatility is just one of them.
Exactly, this will not happen because the fact that government still doesnt accept it because of it some characterics. In addition its now facing more problem unlike the conventional money. I think bitcoin will still remain as a virtual currency until it solved the problems about it.

Above the fact that no sane government will allow a decentralized, non regulatable currency to be 'the' currency', bitcoin and fiat don't really serve the same purpose. Yeah, they are both money, duh, but you can't hold a bitcoin in your hand. Nor can you make a bitcoin transaction while you don't have an internet connection. As useful as bitcoin is, its benefits rapidly degrade in a mostly offline world. Physical possession of the token (fiat) will always trump some numbers on a blockchain.

The wallet in your jeans pocket will never get stolen because of a virus. The 20 bucks fiat you have will still be 20 bucks when you wake up the next day. And most importantly to me, there is not a giant ass online record of what's in my wallet that everyone can peruse at their leisure Wink
994  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: August 1 needs to be today... on: June 20, 2017, 11:26:17 PM
It's not good, it seems some people are switching to Litecoin for retail payments, I like BTC a lot but I don't like the way this coin is treated... it's like it's left alone doing nothing about it and meanwhile lots of altcoins are trying to take over... BTC looks like a fat coin barely moving right now folks while whales are taking as much as they can on its back, it needs to be light and have speed... if something doesn't change after August 1 will probably consider other options as well, I've believed too much in one coin and missed others on the road

We are still 'bubbling' so to speak, and the fees and congestion at the moment are making some of the alts a lot more useful. I'll be damned if I send a btc transaction nowadays, I'm sending that shit as ETH because a) it's going to get there quickly, and b) the fees are a fraction of its bitcoin equivalent. I'll use Doge or LTC in a heartbeat. Even if you totally ignore the fee situation, the speed of confirmations makes it worth it if you need to get shit done, ASAP.

It hurts to watch the price drop on an alt while you have 1 of 3 confirms Sad
995  Economy / Services / Re: Finish my boring summer class assignments on: June 20, 2017, 02:45:58 AM
For some assignments, I already know how to do them but they are boring. For others, I need a general idea on how to do them.

I will discuss this on a platform 'anonymously' outside of Bitcointalk, because I do not want to be permanently dismissed for academic dishonesty.

Depends on the subject and curriculum level, but I should be able to accommodate you. Shoot me a PM, if you will, with details, and we will see what we can do.

Will you be using escrow?

Also, you better have a good record of transactions here on Bitcointalk (Activity and post count does not matter). I want at least an A+, because that's how much my current average is.

Check mah trust Wink
996  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you store your bitcoins? on: June 20, 2017, 02:29:16 AM
I'm old school, I'm of the mind that if you don't have the key, you don't control the coins. For this reason, I'm not too fond of online wallets, especially exchanges, but I will store a token amount of coins on Polo in case I need to make a trade quickly (waiting for confirms will absolutely kill your trades, trust me). I will also occasionally store a significant amount of coin on Coinbase. But the lion's share goes straight to my KeepKey. Hardware wallets are just really easy, and really secure. Been hacked very significantly once, not trying to experience all that again Wink
997  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Dangerous country on: June 19, 2017, 05:06:23 PM
Considering how big the Chinese population, they will eat anything they see fit like dogs and other animals. Also, their culture of eating dogs is not new as well. They even have a dog festival, which is the practice of dog eating. But the problem lies here is that they are eating dogs the whole year round, not just during this festival. Sadly, the cruelty is an inherent part of the dog meat trade: there's a traditional belief that the meat tastes better if the animal suffers as it dies, with adrenaline coursing through the body. So its inherent in their tradition that animal cruelty is accepted.

I can see a lot of hatred directed at the Chinese in this thread. I admit that the Chinese are not angels. Some of their culinary practices needs to be either banned or modified. But what about the others? For example, shark fin soup is available in most of the American states. Do you know how painful is the practice of cutting off the fins from the sharks? And the less we talk about Foie gras, that better.

Let's expand that to the current state of corporate farming. If you saw the condition of the animals (specifically chickens and pigs, cows aren't much better) you wouldn't eat that shit. I live rurally, there are literally like 10 chicken producers in a 5 mile radius. When you drive by the trucks, you understand. The birds are like a giant wound on the bottom. No feathers, irrirated skin, and they don't move. They just kinda sit there and stare ahead. I don't think they can stand Sad
998  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Comey: Trump White House 'lied' about the FBI on: June 19, 2017, 05:00:18 PM
We all watched as the new head of the FBI was introduced. But it's still interesting that the comma is dismissed and why the former leader was dismissed by this organization. Is it really because there was a scandal about Russia's attachment to the US presidential elections?
I think that it fired correctly. I have always believed that the FBI is very serious structure. Why there is still no concrete evidence of Russian intervention in the American elections, why is there no evidence of communication with the Russian Trump. So many rumors and no specifics.

There is indeed evidence of Russian interference in our election. You may not believe the June/July ahared intel assesment, but the Reality Winner leaks concretely prove that there is intelligence we simply haven't seen yet. The additional leaks about the 29 state interference is most likely an actual leaked intel report. But I will concede it has not been verified yet. The arrest and subsequent prosecution of Miss Winner (such a not apt name, LOL) makes it obvious that the document she leaked was legitimate.

You are absolutely correct about there not being concrete evidence of collusion, though.
999  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How Not To Get Stabbed (Domestic Terror) on: June 19, 2017, 06:07:11 AM
Violence is an actual problem, but his? I think paranoia is taking over you.
You have you country/state protection and also US citizens can own weapons, so i don't think someone's following you and trying to hurt you at every time of your day.

Oh, I'm not personally scared. I'm Black. I have more chance of having a poor interaction with the cops, than succumbing to radical Islamic terror. Slightly higher chance of being domestically terrorized. You guys are kind of proving my point. We have it wrapped up in our heads that Muslims are the whole of terror (at least this subforum does). This terrorism shit is turned up across the board at this point. We got the left terrorizing folks, the right, Muslims killing Muslims, Christians, and Christians killing Muslims. It's fucking open season on the public right now, the global political climate is facilitating  a culture of violence that is seemingly escalating.

My particular, initial point was that  terror as a motive is largely dismissed if the perpetrators are White, or if the victims are non white. In the White perpetrator case, the ideological school is dismissed for the 'lone crazy' very often.

Please don't conflate my pointing out an issue with my level of personal concern. Suffice it to say I have a very high level of safety; it's why I feel comfortable discussing Politics so plainly with my actual persona. People are cute with that death threat shit nowadays, but I've never experienced anything like that personally.

But my theory will be tested very soon. A terror attack against Muslims in London just happened, same MO, a van. Let us see how the media cycle treats this, I'm curious genuinely.

I'm not being a Islamic terror apologist, far from it. I sense a push back from some of the more conservative elements in the community because of this perception. I'm more of a 'let's call a spade a spade' kind of guy. If we are going to complain about terror, shut the fuck up unless we are going to address all forms of terror. Terrorism is weaponized fear. No one cultural group has a monopoly on this. If you don't recognize this, you are employing dog whistle rhetoric. Basically, you hate a fucking Muslim but this is a societally acceptable way to discuss that dissatisfaction. That's racism, if you are going to be racist be real with the shit. Mad props to the guys here that are openly hostile to Muslims, I respect the fuck out of your honesty.

But I will say, ISIS is 'killing it', they are high on the leaderboards this round.
1000  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why most terrorist are Muslim? on: June 19, 2017, 05:37:31 AM
I just noticed and realized that I have never heard of a certain Christian terrorist, all I hear is that when a terrorist is in the news, he/she is a Muslim. I am not saying that Muslims are terrorist, so don't get me wrong.
Terrorists are Muslim but not all Muslims are terrorists

More truth than you know Sad

Another terror attack in London, in the last few hours. The method was the same, they used a vehicle to RAM into civilians, then tried to abscond.

The difference this time? This terror attack happened outside a mosque. The victims were most likely Muslim.

Y'all, fuck man, this is just getting worse and worse.

https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/live/2017/jun/19/north-london-van-incident-finsbury-park-casualties-collides-pedestrians-live-updates
