2881  Other / Meta / Re: Understanding Service Section rule. on: April 17, 2021, 01:41:10 PM
Not sure if rules had changed, but back in 2017 I joined campaigns like this that was posted in Services section. They also paid with their own tokens along with BTC.
[SIG] DIMPAY ICO Signature Campaign [CLOSED]

Skimming through old threads in Services section, I found these also partially paying BTC and altcoins, though I am not sure if these paid their tokens because I wasn't a participant.

Still let's wait for hilariousandco's answer to your question, OP.
2882  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Government Controls Crypto? on: April 17, 2021, 09:32:06 AM
Ok so there are people who say that crypto is decentralized and cannot be controlled by the government. How can this be true when the government can shut down the companies where you are able to buy, sell, or send crypto? What do you guys think? Do you all think that crypto is truly decentralized and cannot be controlled by the government or can they?
Sure, shutdown my favorite exchange. I will do p2p transaction with other people that holds Bitcoin around my area. Roll Eyes
Cryptos like Bitcoin is decentralized. Nobody knows who is the one that holds a certain amount of Bitcoin behind those addresses.
Only control they can do would be shutting down every crypto related stuffs in the internet, but hey people still have the power to use VPN.
Sure, shutdown every single site to download VPN. People would make mirrors site of it still.
2883  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin wasn’t created to make you rich. It was created to make you free on: April 17, 2021, 09:29:01 AM

I mean there are a lot of people here anyway for various reasons. I already stated one in here before that there are just different types of people on how they see Bitcoin and why did they decided to invest it in the first place.
One would be for its of value.
Two would be for its utility. It is pandemic and you never want to make physical contact with other people outside as much as possible especially in a transaction, so how about let Bitcoin do that for you.
Third one would be both 1 and 2.
2884  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do we create our own Alt coin and what's stopping others from creating it? on: April 17, 2021, 09:25:52 AM
Follow SFR10's advice.
However look also on "Why" you want to make your own altcoins as well, because there are many carbon copy of the existing altcoins now these days that are just up to quick profits and just ended up getting dumped in the end.
About the legal factor, I am not sure how it goes to different countries.
2885  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 10 Best Cryptocurrencies To Invest in for 2021 on: April 17, 2021, 09:16:30 AM
I never read any news from Yahoo Finance in regards of cryptocurrency, maybe my curiosity in stock markets at the least and adoption of Bitcoin lately.
But I don't solely look into it for mainly top coins to invest.
Why look into other news if we already have CMC?
2886  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are some good crypto trading apps on Android? on: April 16, 2021, 07:22:37 PM
There is Binance in App Store, OP.
I am not sure why you would prefer trading in mobile over desktop.
Performance and security wise I would prefer trading still in desktop.
2887  Economy / Economics / Re: Can the government hijack Bitcoin? on: April 16, 2021, 03:56:59 PM
~
You mean regulate it?
Usage of it, yes they can be regulated. They put taxes to it. They can ban it whenever they want.
However if you're pointing out that hijacking like controlling the technology itself, it is a meh for me.
We already have one trying to claim himself as Satoshi. What more can we ask for?
2888  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Simpsons new prediction" on: April 16, 2021, 03:53:09 PM
~
It is not really that creepy if you think of coincidence which is more possible than just making the show a "future predictor".
Consider those that put up like prophecy in Youtube video, where not some of them predict something that is gonna happen.
I still refuse to believe on those, though I am a bit swayed when it really indeed happened.
2889  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how Bitcoin will deal with lost tokens? on: April 16, 2021, 03:50:40 PM
What happens to all the coins in lost wallets in the Bitcoin system? If there are only a finite number of coins, won't they become increasingly scarce as people lose them over time?
I remember a thread here before asking how would one recover Bitcoins from a deceased person.
Thing is unless one is holding it from like a web or online wallet that offers it, there could still be a chance but good luck complying with requirements to prove relations and connections.
Well if it is something held wherein the owner himself holds the private key then there's no hope unless s/he left a private key somewhere written.
2890  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Simpsons predicted an endless Bitcoin price growth on: April 16, 2021, 10:39:19 AM
~
Ah yes I recall this thread.
I am not sure how though. It could be just like more like a coincidence, but it made people believe that the show predicts the future from how many already happened irl.
There was even one announcement that they claim that they even knew who Satoshi is/was. This one is what I will just take as a joke though.
2891  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Some questions about Cryptocurrency. on: April 16, 2021, 10:37:20 AM
That coin is being traded at Uniswap (v2) and 1inch in SHIB -> ETH
It is being traded also as well in Hotbit and MXC to USDT equivalence though.

My resource: https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/shiba-inu
Coingecko is one of your friends to look up for where the coins are being traded.
2892  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do I invest in cryptocurrency or coinbase COIN on: April 16, 2021, 10:34:12 AM
Well I haven't invested just yet to COIN, but since you're already in Coinbase why not do something a little bit for Bitcoin before you invest to any other cryptocurrency.
This might fall to altcoin discussion board, OP in case you're really not looking for investing in Bitcoin.
2893  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Early signs of crime with bitcoin. on: April 16, 2021, 10:32:15 AM
Ponzi schemes using bitcoin are increasing when these adoptions are prevailing in our society.

Scammers will do anything and will go with the trend when people or investors are eager to invest on it and make it grow instantly.

We can't really fully make them vanish as there are people who will really make crimes just to keep themselves from poverty and crisis.
Bitcoin or not, ponzi scheme still exists outside crypto.
It is quite sad, because Bitcoin is being blamed for these scams while it is just a medium or an instrument for payment like fiat does except it isn't personal or p2p.
2894  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Love the bad news on: April 15, 2021, 07:40:59 PM
Well it is a guarantee to withdraw all the coins from an exchange whenever a hack happens anyway, but directly selling is a bit overreactive to this situation if your money is in the safe hands which is your own storage (could be hardware wallet or anything where you hold the private keys).

It is not always the case though. I remember the news back then when Binance was reported to be leaking data and it still pumped the price of BTC a little bit.
2895  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: He said Bitcoin is a Scam: See What happened to Him on: April 15, 2021, 03:16:08 PM
~
Same boat there.
I explained to my colleagues as well and they just take it as a "criminal coin" or a "scam" coin just because something that is not known and not hyped by a lot of people.
Some people these days are brought by hypes only.
2896  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: It's the easiest to trade when you aren't trading on: April 15, 2021, 03:12:55 PM
We're on the same boat, OP.
That is my strategy too, especially after I stopped my day trading as it didn't really gave me that much profit and I would call it all losses. It was stressful actually, but then I just realized to just "screw it, I'm just gonna leave these coins into my wallet" and never to touch it ever again.
After that 3k bearish days you mentioned up to here, boom 60k+.
2897  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is private and decentralized, ok but what if someone dies? on: April 15, 2021, 03:09:11 PM
Sorry to hear that, OP.
There are still a pinch of hope though if he holds those coins in an exchange or an online wallet. You can reach up to support team, but it might take a lot of effort for them to convince that you two are related.
Only thing to worry is if he holds it into a desktop wallet or anything where he holds the private key as that is the only key for you to access his wallet.
2898  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs covid 19? on: April 15, 2021, 09:02:30 AM
In my view, the COVID-19 pandemic has a positive impact on Bitcoin, because many people are starting to be interested in investing in Bitcoin now.
Assuming Bitcoin can be a source of income in the current pandemic situation, therefore the current Bitcoin price continues to rise. Compared to
other assets, Bitcoin has the best performance, finally making several institutions start buying Bitcoin this year. Because it considers Bitcoin holding
in the long run to be able to provide promising profits.

Many but we still haven't got majority of people leaning to Bitcoin just yet.
There are still many people leaning to banks instead because they feel somehow secured with somebody else holding their money.

Since social distancing in almost every building is a thing right now even in when paying bills, Bitcoin helped me skip those and I got my bill paid without even going out in a crappy long line.
2899  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: altcoin hold and airdrop on: April 15, 2021, 09:01:45 AM

I would not trust any of those even if it gives a bit of token, it is like you're gonna earn when you invest as well immediately.
If it is true, it surely is a crappy coin that is worthless.
Don't look for those, OP.
2900  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC losing its dominance big time on: April 15, 2021, 08:52:31 AM
Would still hodl regardless of what is happening right now.
Right now it got breach pass to 60k+ which is another ATH we got for Bitcoin.
Everyone is eyeing on 80k and it ain't possible to get there anytime soon, OP. Smiley
