1361  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Arbitrum Token Initial Price Speculation on: March 19, 2023, 03:05:45 PM

Anyway as for 10 USD per ARB, that's like around 10 billion market cap.  Does anybody really think it would be that right off the bat?  Kinda sketchy imho.
Pure speculation, there is already a lot of comparisons happening between other layer 2 networks that did airdrop before like Optimism.

Check this photo:
This is mirroring the market cap of other chain networks, this is just speculation or prediction. The majority of people really predict the price could be around starting at $1 - $5. So, let's wait for it.
I also love the airdrop distribution because there are only a few people who got big sizes.

1362  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Arbitrum Token Initial Price Speculation on: March 19, 2023, 07:16:40 AM
Hello guys, look at the beautiful chart of airdrop distribution from Nansen, since Nansen helped Arbitrum about distributing the airdropped tokens of Arbitrum from the given snapshot date which is February 6, 2023.

As Nansen said: "The median airdrop size is 1,250 ARB. Over 4,400 addresses are able to claim 10,250 ARB"

The higher addresses are the 1000 - 2000 airdrop size will get.

1363  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Future of Layer 2 and Arbitrum on: March 18, 2023, 10:54:02 AM
Regarding the price, I'm expecting it to have a similar FDV to Optimism and Polygon, which is around ~$11B. This would put the token price at about $1.1 per token, making it lower than the current $OP price ($2.5). I think it's reasonable to expect the initial range for $ARB to be between $1 and $2.

Indeed, the biggest intrigue of today is what price ARB will have. There is no doubt that this coin will be listed on all major exchanges. I also found an entertaining infographic with the estimated price of the coin, which is based on a comparison of ARB with Matic and Optimism - https://twitter.com/themodestthief/status/1636374758987300864 I think that the price of $1.74 per coin will suit everyone)

https://i.ibb.co/dL82V0b/34-main-v1678894697.jpg

Sounds about right. I just checked my eligibility and sadly none of my wallets are not, but i am definitely buying if the price goes way lower than your estimate as i am way more excited about ARB then Matic or Optimism.

Anyone who has used it can probably agree that it's something worth using. And if the the game theory behind the token incentive / usage is done right, this could be in the radar of every whale out there.
This comparison for me is really making sense. When we will base here, it seems we will see the Arbitrum token will start at $1.+ but for me, with hype plus recent pumps on the market, I am really expecting higher than that. My target could be around $3-$5 and higher is maybe up to two digits of $10 (this is very huge already).
5 days and left and we will see it.
1364  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why it's very boring to trade on public holiday's? on: March 18, 2023, 10:49:02 AM

my question is why this difference in candles ,
my possible reasons are because insitutional traders are on holiday's or all traders are on holiday at that day,but financialcrypto markets are never on holidays.
share your thoughts why this candle differences, and very low volume.
For me, it is really not reliable whether you are based it on holidays or not because sometimes the market is boring or volatile when there are some events, just like the US CPI release, which is very volatile sometimes, and another thing is when some news release that related with cryptocurrencies. The holiday is really not the one that matters here because that holiday is given and expected to come.
1365  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Arbitrum Token Initial Price Speculation on: March 18, 2023, 09:24:48 AM
The new trend now is the Arbitrum airdrop, for those people who are not yet aware: Arbitrum to Airdrop New Token and Transition to DAO.

Moving on, what do you think about the starting price of the Arbitrum token when the claiming of airdropped tokens will start around 5 days from now?

I already lot of speculations that are comparing it with other layer 2 tokens that did airdrop also before like Optimism.
Some people tell it will be $1-$2, and some are starting will be $2.5 and some also telling 2 digits numbers that start at $10.

Some exchanges now already have "IOU" Arbitrum tokens whose current price now is already around $10.

(Take note that this is not yet the real Arbitrum token, this is just an IOU token across the exchanges right now.)

1366  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do we manage our crypto trading strategy on: March 18, 2023, 09:18:17 AM
Hi guys
Nowadays there are so many crypto trading strategies in practice but the true challenge here is how to continue trading with out being obsolete as we know efficiency brings profit
I am not against these new many crypto trading strategies. What only always comes to my mind every time I see new strategies/indicators is they are still based on the major basic strategies or indicators, they are still using some part of these foundation or core strategies. That's why I really advice for every new traders who are just starting always learn the basics, the core because in the long run, you will use it always.
1367  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can Solana hit $40 this year? on: March 18, 2023, 09:06:03 AM
Honestly I would stay away from Solana. There is just too much negative associations with FTX. Plus they frequently get network outages which doesn't bode well for reliability. There is way too many better projects.
(...)
After what happened to FTX Exchange, that's the time I left the Solana network and moved to other networks, it's just sad because Solana is the best especially if you are into DeFi and the small person who does small transactions because the fees are extremely cheap compared to these new layer 2 networks that are EVM based.
Now the TVL of the Solana network is being overtaken by these layer 2 networks. I believe Solana for sure will fix these issues, especially the outages and I believe in the future Solana will be back just like before.
1368  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Random thought of a boy concerning Bitcoin on: March 18, 2023, 08:44:54 AM
Correct me if I am wrong, I am just a small boy anyway, so what do I know? To me whales are losing power with Bitcoin adoption, years ago whales are in charge of many Bitcoin and many people are saying, only few people control Bitcoin, since they own many Bitcoin, but right now Bitcoin is spreading to every corner of the world, I am not saying that whales still don't have power, I am just saying they are having less Bitcoin than before and it's getting to the hands of many more people.
For me, it really does not matter at all. Because the Bitcoin network itself is not controlled by anyone. I believe these whales are mostly traders who try to make money from their huge bags. So overall, I can consider these whales as normal traders who just want to make some money.
About manipulation, yes for me it's possible but if you are a trader, it really matters to you.
1369  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Early bitcoin investment for my baby on: March 18, 2023, 08:39:27 AM
Since your goal is to hold thinking on long term results (18 years from now), you should think about storing your coins safely on your own hands. That is, to not rely on any third party online platforms to keep your coins stored. You need a hardware wallet and to control your own keys.
(...)
I'm curious how the OP stored the Bitcoin they bought for the baby, they created a paper wallet? Bought a hardware wallet or any software Bitcoin wallet? It would be more amazing for OP to share how they manage to store the Bitcoin so just in case in the future, other will follow it too.
Just like me, I am planning to do it in the future for my children. Since I saw a lot of people having life insurance to their children while at very young age, so for me, I will do like what OP did.
1370  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin cannot be a Bank? on: March 18, 2023, 08:03:23 AM
Deceiving newbies with such a statement won't get Bitcoin the required recognition. It would only lead to more confusion and uncertainty as Banks have done for so long. Such a statement from a Bitcoin influencer would only tarnish the image of Bitcoin. Mcafee was known for such statements.
(....)
Why are people just things complicated? Let's say for example Bitcoin is just the same as fiat currencies where you can use it to pay for something. You can use it just like how you use your fiat to pay for something like goods, services, etc. So for me yes among the list is also included like mortgage, medical bills, etc.
For me, I can consider Bitcoin as banks also, you can have your own bank as long as you have Bitcoin which comes with Bitcoin wallet ofcourse.
1371  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The value of bitcoin remains the same on: March 18, 2023, 07:54:31 AM
If we look at the bitcoin chart we can see that the trend is exactly the opposite, so we have to forget about volatility and think about what will happen in the years to come. The longer the time horizon, the more purchasing power fiat currencies will lose and the more bitcoin will gain.
This is the best example of how our fiat right now, $1 is no $1 ($1 != $1).
I can say it's because of inflation and that's one of the many that Bitcoin solves or fixes.
I believe that Bitcoin will not experience this as supply of Bitcoin will be limited only over the time not the same with fiat which they can print unlimited amount.
1372  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is a treasure. on: March 18, 2023, 07:43:36 AM
Now that bitcoin is more valuable in most countries, that shouldn't be a property it should be an investment, those who see bitcoin as property should learn more or read more about bitcoin and how it works.
To me, bitcoin is an investment and also a treasure, I don't know if am wrong or right.
But if someone may ask you, what do you call BITCOIN?
What is a property?
It is a thing or things which someone or a group of person owns. Propreties can either be an asset or a liability as such if someone sees Bitcoin as a property they are not far from reality.
 (....)
Lack of context from OP, we don't know if the meaning of "property" OP wants to say is the physical establishment or real state something or on another side is it's real Bitcoin and the "property" there is the physical backups of the keys of the wallet or maybe it is a hardware wallet, we don't know.
Or maybe we can also relate here to some real state properties are for sale using Bitcoin as a payment method, maybe that's an example.
1373  Economy / Speculation / Re: will bitcoin continue to rise on: March 18, 2023, 07:37:10 AM
and if I sell my bitcoin now I'm afraid the price of bitcoin will fly even higher... I want to hear your opinion...?
This is very difficult to answer, at the first place when you bought your Bitcoin, do you have any price target or goals like "If Bitcoin reaches x price, I will sell"?
Because if you just want to sell it because it's already high, it seems you don't have plan at all but I am not against on it, if you want to take profits right now and that's your goal, go for it.
1374  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I found my Bitcoin books from 2016 on: March 18, 2023, 07:22:50 AM
Good ol' days! I remember those times when faucets are the trend before. Before, when you are just patient and not lazy, you can get a lot of money doing a lot of tasks or surveys, offerwalls, etc. that is paying Bitcoin, all good. I know a lot of people who started without pulling out money from their pocket, they just offer their time or just did some work to do.
Which I really appreciate people like this, like OP! Good job!
1375  Economy / Speculation / Re: 26k mark finally breached on: March 14, 2023, 11:42:03 PM
(...)
What's your pick on this. Will March bring more great feats or a massive dip will be experienced after this pump.
Breaking Bitcoin above $23,000 earlier was already a sign for me that we will see $25,000.
But something better happened, it broke the $26,000 level. So for me, the next stop or resistance that will be tested is $30,000. For sure before this month will end, we will attempt to test the $30,000 level.
1376  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why Beginners Should Not Go For Future Trading? on: March 14, 2023, 11:38:03 PM
Edit: Trading beginners can practice future trading with Demon funds. There are some exchange available where you can trade with demo assets. That will help you to build a good experience in future trading.
Correction: Demo not Demo.
I agree with this, those people who want to practice without using real money, they can use some demo platforms of exchanges or what common term is testnet.
There are some popular exchanges who got testnet platforms where you can trade using not real money.
For example, are
Bybit: https://testnet.bybit.com/en-US/
Bitmex: https://testnet.bitmex.com/
1377  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: my small investment on: March 14, 2023, 11:32:18 PM
(....)
Since I can't invest more dollars, I don't have that much money. Still will invest as much as possible.
Good job OP. My piece of advice is if you really not trading, avoid watching charts or prices everytime . This will help you to not panic, just do something else just like learning more about what Bitcoin is or exploring more about Bitcoin or finding any other leisures that will make your attention on Bitcoin price will be keep away temporarily because I believe you will become emotional due to high volatility of Bitcoin price.
1378  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Planting a tree and investing in bitcoins should wait a certain period of time. on: March 14, 2023, 11:29:01 PM
You can actually get the seeds for free from the other trees and keep planting regardless...
How? Doing some bounties or any tasks/jobs or airdrops that will give you Bitcoin? I think yes this is possible before but now, it seems more difficult because you start to give your most of time before you get seeds for free. You need to work hard for that. And always don't rely on free seeds in this world, everything now already have a cost or you need to work for it before you can get it.
1379  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you feel when people tells their story on bitcoin on: March 14, 2023, 11:25:52 PM
Do you feels your late getting involved to the industry and do you wishes to be like them, and if you were in their shoes would you be able to utilize those opportunity they got or you won't afford to bear the risk and get involved?
(....)
In the beginning yes, especially before when I started to discover Bitcoin around 2017, I was really thinking always that I should've known Bitcoin for a long time already.
But as time goes by, I became used to by and realized that it's like a cycle; there will be new people who also will same in my situation or even people who discover Bitcoin before me who experienced the same situation as mine.
1380  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto or Forex? on: March 14, 2023, 03:13:35 AM
I tried both of them and crypto makes more sense Forex has little time frames and needs a lot of money for trading. For small trader who is starting I suggest crypto then after some time you can go to forex.
This is also the reason why I didn’t push through my Forex trading account, its too expensive to deal with them and my broker is not that good when it comes to trading forex. In crypto, you can start small and trade 24/7 because there’s no rest for the market.
(....)
This is the best explanation or difference when you trade forex versus cryptocurrencies.
The fees are extremely high compared to when you use some centralized exchanges on crypto, it's really far from forex fees.

Besides volatility, which is already given. I also found out that the user interfaces on some platform of Forex trading platforms are difficult to use or not user-friendly compared to what we have right now on cryptocurrency, extremely user-friendly and easy to use with great user interface and user experience (UI/UX).
