1541  Economy / Economics / Re: How can we end the *VOLATILITY OF BITCOIN* on: January 26, 2023, 01:36:28 AM
I am curious if Bitcoin is still volatile if we already have a lot of volume in the future. Before we reach a lot of volumes, I am imagining we are already x5 or more than the price of Bitcoin or the entire market cap is already multiplied. Does this guarantee that the volatility of Bitcoin will reduce?

1542  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Main reason government won't fully accept bitcoin on: January 26, 2023, 01:23:06 AM
The reason government won't accept bitcoin is not because it is a decentralized currency,  it is because they won't be able to print it like they print fiat  to steal as much as they can .
(....)
There are a lot of reasons why some governments hate Bitcoin and they don't want it to accept or legalize. It is challenging for them to use cryptocurrencies as a reliable store of value, which is a vital function of money, for reasons including the volatility of their prices.
Some are also hate Bitcoin because they are corrupts, they can't do anymore some of their illegal things once they start to use Bitcoin.
1543  Economy / Speculation / Re: What happens next if Bitcoin drops to zero? on: January 26, 2023, 01:14:02 AM
(...)
1. Will Bitcoin ever fall to zero someday?
2. What happens if it ever falls to zero?
(...)
If this will happen, just in case. In my own opinion, expect that the whole cryptocurrency market will also follow, even the altcoins market, I believe they will also go to zero, there is no way altcoins will stay if Bitcoin is already zero.
Another thing is, right now we have already more than $1 trillion entire market cap of cryptocurrency, if this entire market cap will be go to zero, lot of businesses will go bankrupt too and that will lead people also will go bankrupt and I believe there are some huge businesses will get affected.
1544  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Common Online Gambling Fraud on: January 25, 2023, 04:41:24 AM
  • 5. Credit Card Fraud
At gambling websites, it is very typical to see thieves using stolen credit cards. If they can get the card to work, they can quickly and easily cash out. Cybercriminals can use a stolen credit card to top up an online casino account. From there, they can withdraw in cryptocurrency.
That is why it is good to protect your phone against sim swap attack, if OTP is not received, the scam will not be successful. But the most important thing is to protect your card pin, if protected and not known to scammers, they will not be able to withdraw from your bank.
(....)
Thanks to cryptocurrency, we can somehow avoid this kind of fraud. But it is prone for some Bitcoin or any cryptocurrency wallets that have been hacked and they will use the funds for gambling, after the scammer/hacker got the funds from someone, then they can deposit it to a gambling platform, which is almost the same of this Credit Card Fraud. But I think, the gambling platform for this is already out for this matter.
1545  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bye Bye Bear Market :) on: January 25, 2023, 04:36:52 AM
I am still positive that we will not yet start yet the bull market, maybe more sideways but no more dumps just like what we experienced last year. Last year is the best example of a bear market which we saw drastically drop from an all-time high and most of the altcoins are also dumping. Since Bitcoin block halving is next year, maybe the first quarter of this year is still not sure for me, I am still bearish.
1546  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Has someone tried to use ChatGPT to help in trading? on: January 25, 2023, 04:32:55 AM
I would not trust AI for this even ChatGPT. Trading is a very complex one, there are already some before, a trading bot which is driven by some configuration based on what you need. But for AI, it's very difficult, you may lose your money. Maybe yes, AI can be used but don't expect that it is 100% guarantee you will win on every trade.
1547  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs CBDC - Print your own stickers on: January 24, 2023, 03:08:37 AM
Me,  I am not worried about Bitcoin here. I am worried here is most of the altcoins here, most of the altcoins right now are centralized. There is no threat for Bitcoin here as even if there will be CBDC, it's still fiat and it's still the opposite with Bitcoin, the inflation is still there. While Bitcoin is solving the problem that we have right now in our traditional finance.

1548  Other / Archival / Re: [POLL]What do you expect from Bitcoin in 2023? on: January 23, 2023, 01:12:18 AM
What I can see this year is recovery for Bitcoin. But I am not looking for a new all-time high for Bitcoin.
I also believe that there is still a lot of chance that we will create another bottom. We never know.

What I am expecting is upto end of the year is sideways only without huge pumps or dumps, then altcoins will start to rise at the middle - last quarter of the year.
1549  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Good news for APT? on: January 23, 2023, 01:06:52 AM
The good news for this altcoin is almost every day this altcoin is making new all-time highs. This is crazy, I started to become curious about this altcoin during its $12 all-time high, and now its trading already above $13. I decided not to enter this altcoin anymore as it's very risky to buy at the peak.
1550  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / DeFi - Lending Collateral on: January 23, 2023, 01:04:09 AM
Hi everyone. Recently I started diving deeper into Decentralized Finance (DeFi) and there are some questions or behavior that I am really curious about.

For example,
When you borrow some assets, you needed some assets as collateral (this is given).
But, what if instead of borrowing some assets, you can just use the one you are willing to use as collateral?

Can anyone have a good explanation here of borrowing using collateral versus not borrowing and using the collateral instead for the exchange of other assets?
1551  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Mini bull run or short Squeeze (manipulation) ? on: January 22, 2023, 09:50:05 AM
(....)
In these times, the bitcoin to pump makes me wonder whether it is due to manipulation and short squeeze to liquidate many short positions opened on bitcoin?
It's very confusing right now. If you take a look at lower time frame, you will see a very volatile, lot of candle wicks green/or red but on higher time, all good, fewer wicks.
The breakout from the $21,000 level for me seems the bullish for short term for me, especially since the monthly candle is fast approaching.
If we manage to hold the $21,000 level this month, for me this is not a bear trap anymore. A bullish sign for me until the end of first quarter of this year.
1552  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Looking for new exchange token to add to my wallet on: January 22, 2023, 08:06:51 AM
I am observing Kucoin right now. Seems Kucoin is the underdog here and if you take a look also how this exchange exist a very long time ago and you will see that there are still no other issues for this exchange, like hacks or anything.
And it also has good risk:reward ratio, just incase we will go back again to its all-time high again.
1553  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Success in futures trading after long wait. on: January 22, 2023, 08:02:42 AM
I continued to liquidation there without giving up.
No stoploss? Be clear, you continued to "gamble" without giving up.
This is a common mistake for people who are new to trading. They always think that their trade will always go in a good way so they intend not to use any method of risk management like setting stop loss and target price.
Another thing OP must learn is how much amount to allocate per trade, so you will still have some capital left once you need to trade again.
1554  Economy / Speculation / Re: I think Bottom is gone on: January 21, 2023, 01:48:17 PM

We are already around 50% positive since the local bottom last year which is around $15,000.
For me, yes, there is a high possible that it was already the bottom but I believe, there are a lot of possibilities we may visit that area or below $20,000.
Because for me, I am against to some people right now that they are talking about parabolic run again because the pump only started this year or happened in just a short period of time which for me is not healthy and I am still not satisfied.
1555  Economy / Speculation / Re: How was your belief formed? on: January 21, 2023, 01:44:23 PM
I am often considered crazy by friends around me who invest in stocks, bonds and real estate, they always laugh at me when we discuss portfolios and investment opportunities. Maybe some of us (on this forum) also have the same fate as always being ridiculed when talking about investing in bitcoin.
(....)
It's just crazy because they are thinking the wrong way and when they start to believe they are back to you and keep asking.
This is normal for me because they have a different vision from yours, and another thing they must not talk about for things that they don't know.

If ATH is formed again in 2024 or 2025 I think there will be 10 times more people adopting bitcoin and learning about it than today (or maybe even more than 10X) and I would really like to laugh at my friend who insulted me.

I thought I would like to know how your trust process builds up in investing your money in bitcoins?
I believe that there be more people will be introduced to Bitcoin even price is dumped or pumping.
Bitcoin is not here just for the price only, really use of Bitcoin is for payment. Regarding the adoption, there are also a lot of players in the cryptocurrency space right now, not Bitcoin only. Consider also these altcoins, if you combine whole altcoins market cap, they are huge. So, it will be different in the future, even the price of Bitcoin will not that high to pump compared to previous all-time highs.
1556  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which indicators you use? on: January 21, 2023, 01:36:56 PM
EMA combination of RSI is already a good indicator for me, simple is beautiful and you can then focus to analyze the candlesticks' patterns after that.
With EMA will help you the price action and RSI is the momentum indicator, these indicators will just help your decision, so always verify and check before entering a trade, and the best is also to try to look at different timeframes, not just only.
1557  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is risky, be conscious on: January 21, 2023, 01:34:29 PM
(....)
What would be your advice for those wanting to trade as a newbie?
Learn the basics. Because these basics are the foundation and core of everything in trading.
There is some newbie who wants to become one in just 1 night, but it's not possible. You must trust the process.

Another thing is "capital preservation", it's not always good to to trade, sometimes it's better not to trade than to trade for a trade that you are not sure, there are still lot of opportunity that is good entry in the future.
1558  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coins or tokens related to the AI or ML on: January 21, 2023, 01:25:24 PM
I don't really know and I am curious why Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning does need cryptocurrency. It seems really does not work together.
Maybe they will do some token sales to support their development of AI/ML projects. But seems the use case of the token itself is not relevant.
1559  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Aptos speculation on: January 21, 2023, 11:43:06 AM
Aptos is really making huge noise right now.
I believe this Aptos project could be the next Solana if they will succeed. But I don't think it will happen. After a lot of layer 2 protocols now, I don't believe there will be new projects especially since this is a layer 1 protocol which completely different from Ethereum and Solana.
1560  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH & DOT on: January 21, 2023, 11:37:05 AM
A few years ago, I sold PolkaDot at its own high point after steadily buying it.
From now on, I will continue to invest in PolkaDot and Ethereum again, what do you think about the future of these two coins?
Seems Polkadot is extremely hammered during the recent bear market we experienced. And additional to that, if you are not yet aware, Gavid Wood (CEO of Parity before) steps down from its CEO position, but he is still part of Parity a blockchain infrastructure company which also focused on Polkadot/Substrate development.
