1441  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How Would you Describe Yourself As A Day Trader? on: February 25, 2023, 02:06:03 AM
Day trading involves risks, and every day trader knows that they need to have a level of risk tolerance. While risk-seeking day traders can take on massive risks in the pursuit of huge profits, risk-averse day traders seek to reduce the amount of risk they would encounter. As a day trader, how would you describe yourself? Are you risk-seeking or risk-averse?
(.....)
I can consider myself a day trader also because I do trades with this kind of timespan.
Being a day trader, it's difficult because from time to time you really need to watch or observe the price action, and through that, you will able to analyze the market.
The risk here for me still depends, based on your risk management and/or risk:reward ratio.
1442  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I gave investment advice to my grandfather. on: February 25, 2023, 01:46:50 AM
(.....)
My only question to all, was I able to give my grandfather the right advice??
For me yes, but if I were you, you need your grandfather first to educate what Bitcoin is, not only for investment so he will understand what he is investing in. Because if it's just your will or you are the only one who understands it, it's useless.
So that he will also know what he is getting into it.
1443  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it good to accept crypto as a payment? on: February 24, 2023, 02:18:05 AM
I have seen a report today that in 2022 crypto payments showed an amazing rise. People are really accepting it and giving the value as they are giving to fiat payments.
(....)
There are already a lot of businesses tried to accept cryptocurrency for payments for their businesses. And accepting cryptocurrency to your business is made easy because there are already some platforms or software that will make it easy for you, like payment processors for cryptocurrency.

And take note also that there is some businesses that started to accept Bitcoin at the beginning but later on, they suspended it because of high volatility. I can give example is Steam before, they started to accept Bitcoin but later on they suspended it.
1444  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what is your reason for gifting bitcoin on: February 24, 2023, 02:07:51 AM
(....)
Or bitcoin should only be given to those who can truly invest and yield profits.  Can you gift bitcoin to random people who may not make profit from it.
Using Bitcoin as a gift for me is more likely we are introducing Bitcoin to other people like advertising because let's say if you give a gift to a person who doesn't know Bitcoin, he/she will become curious and that's the time they will research what is Bitcoin, how it works, etc. Or even they will start to keep asking questions about Bitcoin to you which for me is a good act of promoting Bitcoin to other people.
1445  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I buy BNB now? on: February 24, 2023, 01:43:00 AM
Hi guys, Is it too late now to buy BNB? Or can we expect huge price drop in this year?
I think that the FUD about Binance's stablecoin BUSD was the chance to buy a cheap Binance Coin (BNB). Since for me, it was complete FUD, and BNB price really dumped due to that.
After all, Binance is still here, FUD is FUD, and we already have a lot of experience with FUD on stablecoins just like Tether before.
1446  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Yield Farming -- Is it still a thing? on: February 24, 2023, 01:36:20 AM
I believe this is still a thing, yield farming also is one of the trend platforms on every chain network especially now that there are a lot of new networks, layer 2 or layer 1.
With the trend of NFT, I believe some volume from yield farming also transitioned to the NFT market.
Consider also the current market condition which is I believe most of the TVL of every DeFi platform decreased due to the bear market.
1447  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Discussing the upcoming market on: February 24, 2023, 01:32:07 AM
I was able to observe the growing of the Arbitrum ecosystem, a lot of numbers changed for the past few weeks on Arbitrum, you will see the Total Value Locked (TVL) increase and surpass Polygon (MATIC), and you will see also the inflow of stablecoins to Arbitrum network also increased, and the best news was also the daily transaction a few days ago on Arbitrum surpassed Ethereum.
1448  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Where Do Lost Assets or Coins Go? on: February 23, 2023, 01:15:10 AM
I remember before on FTX Exchange, they have this service to recover coins if you just sent them to the wrong network.
Let's say you supposedly send USDT on Binance Smart Chain (BSC) but accidentally sent it via the Ethereum network or other networks, they offer it to recover but with some charges as far as I remember. I don't think some centralized exchanges also offer this. I saw on Binance article, that you need to contact them about this issue.
1449  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Life's first investment in Bitcoin by selling bicycles on: February 23, 2023, 01:08:18 AM
I'm glad you selected Bitcoin over random altcoins. Keep it up OP, I believe this is just the beginning and once you start this act, you will see the difference and you will learn life lessons, especially in finance.
Before when I started to save or use Bitcoin or invest their also, I became responsible for my finance and become aware of everything like my expenses, investments, income, etc.
1450  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Strike added Philippines to the "Send Globally" list on: February 23, 2023, 12:59:27 AM
It seems Filipinos have reason to be happy lately, at least when it comes to Bitcoin related news - because they definitely did a good thing by positioning one of their islands (Boracay) as a popular tourist destination where Bitcoin is accepted in hundreds of places across the island. Perhaps we can complain that these payments are not carried out directly on-chain, but things simply have to be simplified for the average person to accept them.

Strike has only one "flaw", which is that it is only available (for sender) in the US, with the exception of some federal states.
Include also the Filipinos who are considered Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) who are working abroad and sending money from their families to the Philippines, this is common here in the Philippines, I asked some of these people who are getting money from family members who work abroad and most of them are using money remittance and what I observe is money remittance is worst, we all know that it takes a lot of fees and sometimes you need to wait for a very long time before you get the money. Huge W for Filipinos!
1451  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Reason for bitcoin on: February 23, 2023, 12:55:28 AM
(....)

Question: Does bitcoin has year or reason when it drops or crash on like what happened in 2022 alot of us saw hell.so I want to if has reason for the dropping in volume.
No one knows what will happen in the future of Bitcoin and no one can predict the price of Bitcoin. Most of the people are just speculating, some are just trading the current market or the current market trend. Some are speculation with some basis, like comparing the current price actions to the history prices of Bitcoin since the beginning, some are using technical analysis to come up with their speculation or prediction.
1452  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where do i buy bitcoin to store on a usb on: February 23, 2023, 12:53:34 AM
(.....)
Hardware wallet is more expensive than a USB drive, but if the user is very careful to treat that, 10 years and more is safe with a very high quality drive.
(....)
I don't think this is an issue here, if you are afraid about the physical health of your USB drive or hardware wallets, then the solution here is always to have a backup somewhere else so just incase whatever happens like it will be lost or broken over the time, you have a backup.
You can have multiple backups offline but make sure also you are aware that these offline backups are safe also from some situations like natural calamities.
1453  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does inflation affects bitcoin? on: February 23, 2023, 12:49:15 AM
I was also curious about this, remember last year or a few months ago, the inflation rate for most of the countries in the world experience a pump on inflation rate.
So for me, I was expecting also that Bitcoin is the solution for this, if you are afraid to lose the value of your fiat currency, put it on Bitcoin, but as you can see also we saw some dumps during that time and now seems we are recovering.
So for me, there's some part that Bitcoin is affected by the inflation rate.
1454  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin and no downtime till now in 11 years on: February 22, 2023, 03:56:02 AM
As an on-chain payment method, Litecoin is probably better than Bitcoin. That's in terms of fees. Of course, it is way better than Ethereum. And then Litecoin's Lightning Network is already launched so it is now becoming even better for payments.
(....)
You got a point here, but overall I am still with Bitcoin, maybe if you are not comfortable with the transaction fees of Bitcoin, you can use Litecoin.
I believe Litecoin will stay just like Bitcoin. And take note also that Litecoin is forked from Bitcoin, so you will see the similarities of it with Bitcoin. It's just copying what bitcoin have, just like the Lightning Network.
1455  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading season? on: February 22, 2023, 03:12:23 AM
(....)
I want to to be satisfied with trade having it season of profit?
For me, if you are a good trader, wether it's a bear market or a bull market you can make profits.
There are a lot of ways now to earn profits as a trader, we have a futures market where you can earn profits by shorting the market if you feel it will drop, or with leverage, which you can adjust based on you if you feel it will have a short dump or pump you can adjust the leverage.
1456  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think will happen once Hong Kong legalizes bitcoin? on: February 22, 2023, 02:47:53 AM
I am bullish if this is true and will become effective immediately. Hong Kong could gain a lot of business, especially with cryptocurrency.
For the cryptocurrency market, I am positive there will be a lot of new platforms that will start to pop and most of these are backed by Asians, Chinese particularly and I believe these projects could have a potential next unicorn company.
Take note that most of the top cryptocurrency exchanges were born in Asia just like Binance, so for me, bullish!
1457  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What about AION ? on: February 22, 2023, 02:38:13 AM
Whats the deal with Aion ? Judging by price , i think its low and might have bottomed. Whats everybodys thoughts on this. Post your TA Smiley
I already sold my AION a long time ago. As I remember, during the bear market around the start of 2019, the price of AION started to drop also as most altcoins do.
I remember also they migrated to their own network before they started as ERC20 under Ethereum.
This is a product of ICO fever back in 2018. There are already new projects that already surpassed this project and they started to vanish too.
1458  Economy / Speculation / Re: What Is Your Bitcoin market speculation for the month on: February 21, 2023, 04:33:15 AM
(....)
What are your markets predictions for the month?
1: Do you think BTC will break the $25k benchmarks in this month even though there will be a lot of pullback and resistance knowing fully well how close we are to 25k at the moment?
2 What are the variables to consider in making future uptrend predictions?
Just today, Bitcoin already broke $25,000.
For me, this is very good news. But I am positive that this month that we will never see the below $20,000 again. It was already proven in the beginning week of February, they tested it but bears failed. So, as long as we will have a huge wick on candles, I am positive and bullish until the end of this month.
1459  Economy / Speculation / Re: If history repeats itself: 2023 vs 2019 on: February 21, 2023, 04:30:54 AM
I believe that the $50,000 is very possible, especially in the last quarter of this month, but just in case it is not, the first quarter of 2024 will be the chance.
Because I believe that the Bitcoin block halving in 2024 is the biggest trigger for Bitcoin to reach again this kind of price level.
1460  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin start rising up what coin is good for investing right now for short term on: February 21, 2023, 04:28:04 AM
I see that btc almost hit 25k$ this morning and i believe that if btc rise 25k$ most of the altcoins will also rise or follow btc trend, so i think this time will be the very best time to decide what altcoins can give us profit in short term investment if you have any suggestions please extend or let me know.
Just be careful, sometimes it's not mean Bitcoin is pumping, altcoins are following also. Sometimes it is different from altcoins.
But I believe as long as Bitcoin will not dump, altcoins are safe. And what I also observed is, altcoins are following Bitcoin after Bitcoin pumped or Bitcoin became sideways only.
