1681  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: It's been 2 months and now I am doing well.(I guess). on: December 18, 2022, 11:21:17 PM

The advocacy is indeed good which is to encourage more people to use this technology as a mode of payment. But if it would cause losses to your shop (as I gauge, there will be given that the price is still on down low). Well, you could really wait for the 'pump' but I am a bit worried; would holding their payment be sustainable with your shop? I hope it would. The reason why I brought this up is because some of the small businesses on my area tried to do the same thing and it is the sustainability of their business which became the problem afterwards.
I really don't think this matters anymore, goal here is to accept payments in multiple ways as well as possible as it is part of increasing your sales. Later on, it's already up to the OP how he can restock his/her products, so overall, if OP goal is to accept cryptocurrency as a payment method without goal of investment then everytime there's a payment, OP can convert those cryptocurrency to some fiat currency or stablecoins which I know Binance is very capable of doint it.
1682  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP future looks shaky and uncertain on: December 18, 2022, 10:57:21 PM
XRP is a unique coin because sometimes it is different from trends that occur in general on the market, like some time ago when the market dropped significantly but XRP could rise by more than 30% and at that time I also bought XRP when the price was $ 0.38 then sold at $ 0.44, if I can be patient a few days then I can sell at $0.52.
I believe it's manipulated. As you can see Ripple (XRP) is already an aged altcoin, it's already here for a long time. But it's still the same, it's still useless at.
Another thing is as you can see, Ripple is stating to lose it's position on being top highest market, before Ripple (XRP) is only sitting above on top 5 highest market cap, but now it seems already started to fall.
1683  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Elon Musk posted Santa Twitter Doge on Chrismast day? on: December 18, 2022, 11:59:00 AM
Do this still matters? It's very risky if you will just make Elon Musk an indicator when you are buying/selling Dogecoin. There are already a lot of bots that are already deployed that are waiting for Elon Musk to tweet something related to cryptocurrency like Dogecoin, and these bots will immediately open a trade. That's why you can see an immediate pump on Dogecoin every time Dogecoin is mentioned by Elon Musk.

For me, it's good if you are trading for it just like you buy immediately after he tweeted because you will not know when Elon Musk will tweet about Dogecoin
1684  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Part 2 Episode - Different style of Trading on: December 18, 2022, 11:50:21 AM
Cool OP! Would be awesome to identify also or indicate different risks of these "styles" or "kinds" of trading because I believe, it comes with different risk like there is some there that got low risk, but low reward or high risk, and high reward also.
Overall, this is really not important to make you profitable but it's somehow good to identify which kind of trader of you and what's your goal, it will help you.
1685  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I failed to notice this all along on: December 15, 2022, 12:24:55 AM

If you buy such tokens you will lose money when the token unlock take place, watch out when making some choice with altcoins, also here is one of the few websites that keep track on projects token unlock

https://token.unlocks.app

Use it to your advantage
Wow, this is my first time seeing a platform just like this. I was just amazed when I visited this website and saw some top altcoins that is mostly or common I can see on social media or some forum that is shilling by other people, some of them are on the top list of token unlock dashboard.
But for me, I don't think that it will always be a dump every time there's an unlock event. Sometimes there's just a coincidence to the market like what we experience recently, which always dumping on the whole cryptocurrency market.
1686  Economy / Speculation / Re: How we know btc not going to 100$ ?? on: December 15, 2022, 12:18:49 AM
What guarantees we have btc not going very low like 100$ ??
(....)

I think there are several reasons.

1. We have a whole nation behind it, El Salvador who make it a legal tender. And there are other nation too like Japan and Germany.
2. There are a lot of traders and investors who are making money out of it even in a bear market
3. The biggest crypto community, even you are part of it
4. It's always reaches new all time high every 4 years (bitcoin cycle)
5. Going mainstream maybe in the next 5-10 years based on how I see the world reacting to it
We still never know what will happen to Bitcoin in the future, but I agree with you on these several reasons and I can also say that I am positive that Bitcoin will not go to these numbers anymore.
There are lot of companies or big people that will not let happen that to Bitcoin, there are some company too for sure that they have some price level to go all in.
1687  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Digital Platforms should accept Bitcoin - Makes more sense on: December 15, 2022, 12:12:21 AM
The volume that is transferred everyday on the internet is really huge, and instead of getting paid with normal payment processors which also takes up lot of verifications stages one can easily start getting paid with bitcoin.

People don't want Bitcoin. Steam, the largest online shop for PC games had Bitcoin payments, barely anyone used it, and they removed this option when it started creating problems when network fees got as high as $50. For Bitcoin to have any chance to get adopted, three things must happen - the price must stabilize, the regulators must greenlight it, Lightning Network must be officially released and adopted.
Well said, I experience this before on Steam, on the day they started to accept Bitcoin, and on the day also they stop using Bitcoin because of these particular reasons.
For me, it was just a test from them and I believe later on once these problems will be able to solve or manage, using Bitcoin for these kinds of companies will be available again.

Digital platforms, like Youtube, I think they also have their own reason that's why they are not accepting or using Bitcoin on their platforms.
Overall for me what I can say is Bitcoin is still in the early days, the best example is what OP said, there are still a lot of internet platforms that still not using Bitcoin.
1688  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Beginner Averaging future trading. on: December 14, 2022, 11:59:52 PM
(...)
So guys what are your thoughts and advices .
Can you share why you shorted Bitcoin right now?
Like if you can provide some technical analysis is much better.

I am not against your position like you are shorting the market. But averaging or using DCA short position on future trading or with leverage when doing trade is like not worth it because remember that there may be some fee or funding rate fee as long as your trade is open.
I suggest you also use low leverage.
1689  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is the smart choice not the entire crypto industry on: December 14, 2022, 11:56:36 PM
(....)
So in conclusion: Bitcoin is the blanket cover for what cryptcucrency and digital currency stand for and only those that hold Bitcoin should be seen as the smart people, not those holding and gambling with shitcoins.
Exactly. People who are a fan of altcoins in their early days after they were introduced to cryptocurrency will realize how Bitcoin really matter in the cryptocurrency market.
That's why people saying if you will buy some altcoins, make sure you got some Bitcoin from your bag or Bitcoin is the largest percentage of your portfolio.
1690  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The reason Dogecoin could fail in the future on: December 14, 2022, 01:41:15 AM
Their outdated technology doesn't scale well but that's not their only problem. When it comes to elon hype, at some point he would stop supporting it because of PoW. That's why he suddenly denounced btc.
And like you said community is the key. From what i've seen their old welcoming happy people have turned into toxic place. Meme is only thing they have left and they are not playing it well.
(....)
We must remember that Dogecoin is created for a meme, and one of the founders of Dogecoin, just did it for about a couple of hours. So yeah, if people really concern about the scalability of Dogecoin, then you don't need Dogecoin for it.
Dogecoin came from Bitcoin, Dogecoin forked Bitcoin then it became Dogecoin, a meme coin.
1691  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple is SCREWED! How Ripple is going to fail against competitors on: December 14, 2022, 01:37:03 AM
For everyone still holding XRP: Better get out ASAP. XRP is a scam coin and will go down like a sinking ship!
(....)
Ripple (XRP) is already fishy since the beginning. Especially before, when I start to get introduced to cryptocurrency, as I do some research and there are already a lot of altcoins that is fishy but still existed. The best example is Ripple (XRP).
So yeah, Ripple is a red flag for me already, especially since there are a lot of new altcoins popping up that are much better than Ripple (XRP).
1692  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I think ive throw money away on: December 14, 2022, 01:34:38 AM

I've seen the same query before but with other exchanges and there are some that they didn't get helped from the exchange itself and said, there's nothing they can't do with it.

But most of those, I've seen that they've got some help from them and told that they will never do it again if they do the same mistake.
That's not 100% OP's fault. He didn't know if the network on huobi was on maintenance. Huobi's support must help him as it's their customer money.

OP, you were got FUD about binance, why you should worry about the FUD? If binance gone, almost all crypto will gone as well.
Then if Huobi just was on the maintenance during the deposit of OP, and did use the correct chain and deposit address ( as long as Huobi supported the BSC chain for USDT) then all good.
OP just needs to wait for the maintenance to be done.
Maybe the purpose of maintenance is when you deposit while maintenance the deposit will not appear on your Huobi wallet for a span of time.
1693  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Binance lots of FUD on: December 14, 2022, 01:29:23 AM
Prevention is better than cure. If nothing will lose to you on transferring your funds to your personal cryptocurrency wallet, then all good, it's okay to follow these rumors FUD about Binance.
I already did withdraw some of my funds on centralized exchanges, not only from Binance.
If you are using Binance or another centralized exchange for some stake with APY, Decentralized Finance (DeFi) could be also your friend and you can use them.
1694  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to buy a hardware wallet anonymously on: December 14, 2022, 01:26:20 AM
How about buying from some legit/authorized resellers of hardware wallets?
For example on Trezor, Trezor got a resellers page from their website: https://trezor.io/resellers
It is categorized per country with some link to their website or online shop.

I am not sure if these resellers will still need to submit the information of buyers to Trezor anymore after they bought the products from Trezor and resell it.

Ledger also got a reseller page from their website: https://www.ledger.com/reseller

P.S. Still be careful, you still can't guarantee 100% safe hardware wallets to these resellers even if they are listed officially on the website of these hardware wallet companies. As with other suggestions, the best is to buy directly from the company.
1695  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Canada bans crypto leverage and margin trading after FTX collapse on: December 14, 2022, 01:22:26 AM
Huh they just don't like the ppl earn money
And they just angry that ppl are getting rich and they can't stole that money   Grin
Trading with leverage is extremely risky, there are some people especially those new people who just started to trade a cryptocurrency can easily do this without any requirements, but it's risky for the people.
And additionally, that's why these centralized exchanges with margin trading/leverage can easily make their customer do trading without any proper introduction or requirements and I think it's intended or these exchanges are happy because of trading fees.

Overall, I don't think so this will affect Bitcoin or cryptocurrency itself because this regulation is about the centralized exchange, nothing to worry about if you are not doing any leveraged trading or margin trading.
1696  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We No Longer Pay People Directly on: December 14, 2022, 01:16:55 AM
(....)
In each transaction, the corporation is taking their percentage but also controls and monitors your transaction.
In every new problem that is solved, there are sometimes things that we need to sacrifice and accept.
Let's say this, for example, being cashless transactions, for some people are treating it comfortably because as long as you have internet, you can send any payment to other people, with no need to bring all the time physical cash/fiat.
Same as Bitcoin,  you can have your bank from just your mobile phone and pay someone in just 1 tap with no other 3rd parties needed.
1697  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When will Sam Bankman-Fried go to jail? on: December 14, 2022, 01:12:12 AM
It looks like the question of @OP had been answered. SBF was arrested and is now denied of bail by Bahama's prosecutors.  It looks like the investigation will not stop on him because of lots of charges files against him including the conspiracy behind the FTX collapse.  Regardless I hope SBF be treated well, and deny him of VIP status so that he will experience the punishment of his wrong doings.
What everyone still needs is their money back. If FTX or Sam Bankman-Fried will give back all the money of customers/investors on FTX Exchange is far better and everyone will be happy.
There are also some people that are still hoping to get their hard-earned money back.
With this arrest of Sam Bankman-Fried could guarantee that these customers/investors' funds will get back? We'll never know.
1698  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My advice If you are here to make money on: December 13, 2022, 02:02:11 AM
Stay away from btc If you are futures trader btc moving too slow.
(.....)
I don't agree with this. Even if Bitcoin or other pairs move too slowly, you can still make money if you are a good trader.
Pair that is moving slow will not matter if you are doing trading, it will always depends on your analysis, technical analysis is the best if you are just for money and doing trades, always trust your analysis.
1699  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC or altcoin on: December 13, 2022, 01:59:27 AM
(....)
What replacement coins would you recommend?
Alternative coins or altcoins I think what you mean.

Just incase you don't want Bitcoin, go for the next highest cryptocurrency market cap which is Ethereum.
My advice to you is also take a look on previous prices of coins you are buying, also research the fundamentals or goals or how these coins work.

Bitcoin and Ethereum for altcoins is already good for me especially if you are just starting to explore cryptocurrency.
1700  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Borrowing money to invest in BTC ( My own past experience) on: December 13, 2022, 01:57:22 AM
(.....)
If you have to borrow money ( for BTC investment ) make sure the owner won't be needing the money too soon, also make sure you borrow the amount thats not or will never be a life threatening for you to repay if things go wrong.
Borrowing money that is small or an amount that you can afford to lose and you can just pay it to the lender easily without having a hard time finding that money again is good.
There are some lenders that offer interest and got some terms that you need to pay the amount of money you borrowed for a span of time, this is difficult.
So overall for me, borrowing money to invest is not good. Investment is risky, especially in cryptocurrency.
