1941  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: no deposit bonuses. on: October 07, 2022, 02:07:17 AM
Try FTX or Bybit. These exchanges are popular right now. And also when you signup try to not use any referral links from other people if you don't want to get some deposit bonuses (applicable in other exchanges too, just try)
This is my first time to see a person who doesn't want a bonus  Cheesy
1942  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Interview with the organizers of Adopting Bitcoin (El Salvador) on: October 07, 2022, 02:00:56 AM
This is just showing that everything is on track from El Salvador regarding adopting Bitcoin. This is very good news for everyone, especially the Bitcoin community.
Once El Salvador will have a huge effect for them adopting Bitcoin as legal tender, for sure neighboring countries or other countries will follow, it's just a matter of time.
1943  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin 13 years ago... on: October 07, 2022, 01:57:20 AM
I remember a guy that uploads a video on Youtube before who is already considered as Bitcoin billionaire now. He is telling them to buy Bitcoin even just an extra 1 dollar from their wallet.
So for sure, if we will go back to that time too, some of us will have some confusion too, because we still don't know what will the future of Bitcoin. I'm just glad to the people who believed with Bitcoin since the beginning.
1944  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2024 Bitcoin Halving - What are Your Expectations!!! on: October 07, 2022, 01:47:19 AM
Here's another platform to have track about the upcoming Bitcoin block halvings: https://www.bitcoinblockhalf.com/
There you can also see other information about Bitcoin block halving, like how it works, what is the effect, etc.
For me, this is the biggest event that I am looking forward for Bitcoin because it will also affect the market.
1945  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When You Heard About Bitcoin For the First Time? on: October 07, 2022, 01:41:10 AM
For sure, most of the people who started to use or heard of Bitcoin are from the internet. Even mine, I have before some internet gigs or sideline to make a few bucks off the internet for giving some of my time of a day, and that's the time I was still a student. And that's the time I started to explore Bitcoin and it is very life-changing, a lot of lessons were learned by just using and learning Bitcoin.
1946  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin hash rate hits new all-time high! on: October 06, 2022, 08:52:49 AM
I am curious that maybe there are some miners who switch from Ethereum to Bitcoin because Ethereum now is on POS, so this could be a factor too.
Maybe people sold their GPU and purchased ASIC miners, but price for used GPU's dropped very low that I don't think this would make any sense.
(....)
This is what I also mean, I saw a lot of people who are starting to sell their video cards (GPU) on the internet, especially on social media. I saw some videos on social media in which these miners are from my country, they are starting to sell their GPUs too.
I am not sure what is their next move. But for sure, there are lot of miners from Ethereum who switched from mining Bitcoin after they sold their video cards.
1947  Economy / Speculation / Re: Biden team asks congress for clearer crypto regulation on: October 06, 2022, 08:49:16 AM
I really do wish we (bitcoin) could decouple from legacy markets & government decisions for once & all. Feels annoying that it still matters (price direction) what a bunch of old people in suits say.

It will come but would really like it if there was no price reaction to anything that governments do/say about bitcoin.
I guess we are a long way from that.
Exactly. I don't think the issue here is the people or Bitcoin itself.
But I think it's the people, they too much rely on what other entities or peoples or government do/says about Bitcoin, but we can't blame them. Even though Bitcoin is decentralized, governments are just being governments.
I am curious if the market cap of Bitcoin or whole cryptomarket will double/triple or much more in the future, if this is still the same behaviour or reaction.
1948  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mexico is the next El Salvador? on: October 06, 2022, 08:45:48 AM
Very big win only if those 128 million peeps started accepting bitcoin with full state of mind. Unlike El Salvador where many peeps stood against this policy of bitcoin and hated the fact that the government is supporting something which they do not understand or at least their country does not need right now!! Like they need more facilities of health care or more employment rather than new transaction system and new ways of payment systems.
(....)
For me, it's all good. It's still people's choice, they have still their own choice. The good thing here is being flexible, lot of choices for your payment methods in your country. For example, if you are shopping online which particular online store, got some choices about which payment provider you want to pay.
So, if people don't use Bitcoin as payment, it's good. If they want to use, it's good too.
1949  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading indicators on: October 06, 2022, 08:37:55 AM
Just the basics. I don't want my chart very messy, I'm avoiding indicators that I really don't use.
Stochastic Relative Strength Index(RSI) - This is my momentum indicator, for identifying strengths and weaknesses.
Exponential Moving Average (EMA) - The name says it. I am using this with a combination of trendlines, like support and resistance.
1950  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Day trading on: October 06, 2022, 08:28:14 AM
I got 20 years in stocks trading and 5 years in Crypto, trust me that you don't want to do day trading you will end up losing all your money
Hahaha, false. This is up to you. I know some OG on trading stocks or forex and then they start trading cryptocurrency too and they are doing day trading. They are also profitable. They are not always winning but I know it's normal, there's no 100% guaranteed when you trade.
As long as you have good risk management, it will not matter how you trader, even scalp trader you have, as long as you are not greedy, it's all good.
1951  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: DONT GIVE ME FISH on: October 04, 2022, 03:45:10 AM
Seems OP already got the meaning or how leveraged trading works.
Now, I can share is the risk management on trading especially when you are using leverage.

My suggestion is always to use risk management, here comes the risk:reward ratio where you need to identify first your trade size, stop loss, and price target. You must stick with your plan and become consistent because expect that there will be no always 100% win trades.

Always analyze if your trade size is worth the profits if your price target will hit versus your stop loss.

Capital preservation, leverage trading is very risky, if you are not sure with your trade, it's better not to trade, capital preservation is a must.
1952  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will "De-Fi" platforms be subject to KYC/AML laws in the future? on: October 04, 2022, 03:42:14 AM
I am sure that soon DeFi platform users can be required by the government to do some form of a KYC. Now, unless of course if the DeFi project is not accepting anyone from the USA so they can be exempted.
(,.....)
If this will happen in the future, then they must not call it DeFi (Decentralized Finance) anymore, then it must become CeFi (Centralized Finance).
Decentralized Finance (DeFi) doesn't work like this, DeFi services or platforms are created in the first place because of some issue with centralized platforms and regulations, but now they are starting to take over DeFi which is really annoying.
1953  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Privacy should be fought for on: October 04, 2022, 03:39:12 AM
(....)
We know that Bitcoin started out as a peer-to-peer payment method without the need for third-party services.
This is clearly one of many examples of why Bitcoin's essence is starting to get lost because of government is interfering.
What decentralized becomes centralized based on them, that's not how Bitcoin works at the beginning.
Overall, in the future, they will realize that they cannot totally control Bitcoin and they will look for some alternative to lessen some criminals or illegal doings using Bitcoin.
1954  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SEC Charges 2 Firms and 4 Individuals in Crypto Pump-and-Dump Scheme on: October 04, 2022, 03:30:10 AM
Why they are only after popular people, they must also check some small-medium celebrities or personalities that are doing pump and dump schemes and getting paid by scam projects.
There are also a lot of influencers doing this on the different social media platforms, especially on Youtube with a bunch of channels there are promoting pump and dump projects.
1955  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin hash rate hits new all-time high! on: October 04, 2022, 03:25:26 AM
Last October 01, 2022 Bitcoin hash rate hits a new all-time high of around 282.17M TH/s hash rate. (Source)
Even though the price of Bitcoin is dumping, the hash rate is still growing and creating a new all-time high. For me, this is fundamentally good news for Bitcoin.

I am curious that maybe there are some miners who switch from Ethereum to Bitcoin because Ethereum now is on POS, so this could be a factor too.

This is one of the answer for those people telling that "Bitcoin is dead"

1956  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Mexico is the next El Salvador? on: October 04, 2022, 03:17:52 AM
We all know that El Salvador is already using Bitcoin as legal tender officially and there is already a lot of good feedback from it, there are already some people visiting or migrating to El Salvador because of Bitcoin being a legal tender, but on the other hand, there are still some people criticizing it and talking negative things about El Salvador's decision.

So now, Mexico seems started to take a look at this case too, using Bitcoin as a legal tender in their country.
Mexico got 128million population right now and El Salvador got around 7 million population according to Google.
It seems this will be a very big win for the Bitcoin community once will be implemented.

What are your thoughts about this?

1957  Economy / Speculation / Biden team asks congress for clearer crypto regulation on: October 04, 2022, 03:11:17 AM
Quote
The report comes during a time when Congress is exploring the stablecoin industry and other tax rules for crypto brokers. Biden administration is also concerned about a repeat of the Terra-LUNA incident. However, the Congress members state that proper legislation is still months away.
Quote
FSOC also suggests that the rules by Congress should cover abusive trading practices, customer asset segregation, cyber security, etc.

This seems very interesting and exciting. Is this news good for the cryptocurrency market? We all know the United States is a big player in all markets especially cryptocurrency, with the USD being active and getting stronger against other currencies, now they mentioned crypto regulation.

So, what are your takes here? Is this bad news or good news for the cryptocurrency community?

1958  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Favorite Misconceptions About Bitcoin on: October 03, 2022, 11:30:54 PM
2. It's a ponzi scheme/ tulip bubble/ some other kind of scam or shenanigans.
(....)
For me, this is the most common I encounter. Especially for those people who are non-techy. But even also on techy people who don't have an idea how Bitcoin works. First, their thoughts are, "Bitcoin is a money doubler", sometimes they ask, "How much is your capital", "How much minimum investment", etc.
Most people also thinking when you in Bitcoin or own some, you are rich already or making easy money.
1959  Economy / Speculation / Re: What Will be the Bottom of Bitcoin till 2025? on: October 03, 2022, 11:26:42 PM
so that many people will use this as payment method not as an investment that is currently running.
I also think that nowadays Bitcoin is used as an investment not as a means of payment. Because there are still few digital platforms that accept Bitcoin as a means of payment. Maybe still under 1% who use Bitcoin as a means of payment. Bitcoin is a digital asset worthy of future investment, not for payments.
It's because for me we are still early. There is already a lot of technology that is already deployed in the community to help Bitcoin become easy to use for payment, especially the Bitcoin lightning network which will help people to use Bitcoin in their day-to-day life, it's just a matter of time.

For me, the bottom will not reach again below $10,000. I can take the bottom is on current price level which is the resistance of last bull market around 2017-2018, which is what we are experiencing dropping to $15,000 - $18,000 are just wicks of strong support at $19,000.

And also can we see another top project in the rank of 1 to 20 failed like that of Luna?
Big YES. This is already proven over time. We cannot say it is failed but it is slowly going to fail or be replaced by other quality projects or new projects. For example forked of Bitcoin, like Bitcoin cash, Bitcoin SV, and many more. At first they are on top, full of hype, pumps and dumps everywhere but after that, they are slowly going down.
