1961  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does everyone want bitcoin to be stable in price? on: October 03, 2022, 11:16:53 PM
(....)
I ask this because stability makes bitcoin become a good store of value and medium of exchange. Volatility makes it good for trading and speculation.
Do you mean of being stable is like stablecoins we have like USDC/USDT etc stablecoins we have which are pegged to some fiat currency?
If yes, it does not make sense because Bitcoin will only have a specific supply will exist in the world, and the demand and supply will be compromised.

And if you mean the price being stable like only small pumps only or small dumps or less volatile, then for me it is much better. Maybe in the future, especially once the market will become more like doubled/triple and more than, thats' the time we can experience this.
1962  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bear Market More Important Than the Bull Market? on: October 03, 2022, 02:21:54 PM
(.....)
And in my opinion that is currently going in Bear Market. And that bear market will turn till Next halving and that might be in 2024 as per block data. So I was wondering that wether this bear market will be helpful for new people or not.
The bear market is always there. It's like a part of every cycle. Not always we go UP only. Not always we go DOWN only.
Even on non-crypto markets, there are different markets; bull market and bear market.
Bear market for me is important because that's the time the correction happened, and another thing is a lot of projects in cryptocurrency will be indetified during bear markets or their own quality, if they are legit or not or they are well established project.
1963  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If I get heart Attack that is because of BITCOIN on: October 03, 2022, 02:14:18 PM
(.....)
I think you should set your own goal when you want to sell your Bitcoin, since when you buy Bitcoin the price goes down and when you sold your Bitcoin the price is up maybe it's because you panic selling when the Bitcoin go down after you buy it and it rebounds to at some price which made you get some heart attack. Try to hold for the long term and something like this is almost not going to happen.
In short Risk Management. Risk management comes with stop loss, price target, capital preservation, or trade size.
On the negative side, stop loss is also possible here especially if you are trading, if you don't get bankrupt, then do risk management.
Stop loss is a must just in case what will happen in the market and just re-enter just in case. This is to avoid underwater position or much worst liquidation.
1964  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it best to have a personal trading strategy? on: October 03, 2022, 02:07:16 PM
Having a personal strategy to me isn't just the key but the ability to stick to it, is. I have been trading synthetic indices for over 6months and I feel it is better to have a working personal strategy and keeping to it, even at the days and times of loss.
(....)
The most important thing here is how you stick with your strategy, even if your strategy comes with other people or a lot of users using it.
Because strategies will not always work, that's why there is stop losses or risk management. It's like there is no 100% for everything, even how strong your strategy is.
1965  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH merge - anyone started with pool mining yet? on: October 02, 2022, 03:08:38 AM
I don't bet ETH but I hear people betting on Lido platform and Lido is now a platform along with coinbase that holds the majority of ETH. More than 40% of ETH is being held on 2 platforms by Lido and coinbase. If you are not sure, you can wait a little longer, I believe that leading exchanges like binance will soon offer staking for this ETH POS, they also recently announced to open Pool for ETHW.
Yeah, if you want your funds to be taken care of by these huge companies or centralized entities, then you can use them, especially Lido. Or on some exchanges, staking became famous with APY.
But for me, the APY to these exchanges seems very small and not worth it, especially what will happen to your funds just incase there will be incidents or hacks on their exchange. Even though they are popular or reputable, there are still could possible because they are centralized exchanges, they control.
1966  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Crash Incoming? on: October 02, 2022, 02:54:05 AM
(....)
I think that we have bottomed already because I can't imagine what would cause the Cascade that we had I mean back in June we had a Cascade way worse than March 2020.
Exactly, last March 2020 crashed the whole market, not only the cryptocurrency market was a sign because after that, we saw a huge rally on market and we saw multiple all-time-highs.
So for me, what we are experiencing right now is some pullback or correction for the last bull run we experienced.
1967  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Long term investing - Spot, Margin or Derivatives? on: October 02, 2022, 01:21:39 AM
If you ask me that question then my answer will be spot trading because here you can hold your fund like decentralised wallet.  And decentralised Wallet is the best for holding big fund for a long and cold wallet can be use for it . So if anyone wanna invest for long-term then choose spot trading for it and if the fund is big then use cold wallet for holding.
The additional thing is you can stake the altcoins/Bitcoins you bought from spot trading to some platform like a centralized exchange or some DeFi platforms, because here, on spot trading, you will literally hold the real coin you bought, compared to derivatives like the futures market, which will only stay on the exchange.
Especially in a markett like these times, it's very risky to trade with high leverage if you are doing long, so spot for me is the safest.
1968  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What's the safest bet for 3X to 5X return? on: October 01, 2022, 11:51:36 AM
- Bitcoin,
- Ethereum, or
- Solana?
(....)

Ethereum

Bitcoin

Solana

Here are the additional details you can use to identify. You can check the All-time-high price and there you can see the percentage from its all-time high.
Among the list, Solana is the highest which is 87% as of the moment. The lowest is Bitcoin which is around 72%, very close to Ethereum.

So, let's say if you bought these 3 and they will go back to their all-time-high prices respectively. Then you will get high return on Solana. Just my 2 cents.
1969  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: determine a good project on: October 01, 2022, 11:37:47 AM
(...)
Usually their strong team and developers are able to deal with any situation by carrying out marketing strategies or promoting coins that have been created so as not to lose the interest of investors and trading activities in them will not die.
You still cannot guarantee this. This is already proven last bear season, even how quality your project is, once the market is devasted, it's no excuse, this is already tested even by top market cap projects over time.
What project is being quality is on the recovery phase, where how they recover from the bear market and their project still continues. There are some projects that only good at beginning, after that, they started to vanish or become no use at all or in price, they keep dumping.
1970  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Terra still pumping !?! on: October 01, 2022, 11:25:34 AM
(....)
There is something going on here, and I don't think Do Kwon is involved anymore as he's pretty much on his way to prison, so what do you guys think ? Binance is behind this ? Luna fans ?
Worth noting we're not in a bull run, we're in fact very near the bottom of a brutal bear market ! This makes this story all the more unbelievable.
Manipulation. There are some people or teams behind this. They are using the current issue with Terra Luna, especially the issue of Do Kwon with interpol. Since the hype is still there, it's their time and a good opportunity to make money by scamming other people.
Expect that there are still lot of projects out there that related with this, and newbies must be aware.
1971  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why I don't buy Polkadot now on: September 29, 2022, 08:56:36 AM
(....)
I also planned to buy this coin, but after talking with different people, I changed my mind while investing in it.
I will wait until mid-September.

Your opinion?

I already got out on Polkadot. Polkadot was one of my biggest loses recently when I started to buy some altcoin gems last year. I was able to participate also on their network and conducted some para chain auctions on some projects. Which for me it was also a bad timing because after those we experienced a massive dumps, I remember the ICO fever last 2018 because of this.
1972  Economy / Speculation / Re: Cryptocurrency is silent why? on: September 29, 2022, 08:51:40 AM
There's not that much development and there's not that many innovations that are causing a huge stir so it's a good answer to why the market is silent right now. It's a good thing actually, people are longing and it's kind of an eases the stress of constantly watching if there's a movement in the market.
Price really matters here for sure because even how much development or innovations or any fundamental news will arrive but the price is getting rekt or devastated some people will lose interest, which a very red flag for me. If they really support cryptocurrency, they will become consistent and stay no matter what. These people for sure are only here for money which we can't blame them.
1973  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: $CRAMER Coin on: September 29, 2022, 08:46:36 AM
I think is the $CRAMER altcoin mentioned by OP: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/cramer-coin/
Website: https://www.cramercoin.com/

Another thing I observed is that this altcoin is already down around 62% from its all-time high (based on coinmarketcap),  very volatile and risky for me.
This is clearly a shitcoin/meme coin. Not recommended to buy for me. But if you are a gambler, you can have small stakes here.
1974  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin should I invest in other than bitcoin? on: September 29, 2022, 08:38:26 AM
I think bitcoin is already less profitable considering the already high price so bitcoin has only a small movement for it. New coins are more profitable but the risk is quite large. I do not recommend for beginners, for beginners it is better to buy coins such as SOL, BNB, ETH.
Bitcoin now is safer but has less Return on Investment (ROI) as you said. I agree but I will go to a safer one even less profitable in the future just incase we will still pump.
Altcoins you mentioned are good, SOL and BNB are new altcoins that ETH has already been here for ages. These altcoins got a high market cap which is also a good choice.

For OP, you can still buy Bitcoin of some portion and buy some altcoins, which I suggest are high market cap too like what diminizio mentioned.
1975  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My thoughts and now my experience. on: September 29, 2022, 08:34:41 AM
(....)
Moving forward I would pay more attention to learning and asking questions too, all I can say to the newbies is that grow your brain before you try to grow your portfolio.
Precisely! This is the most common mistake of people who are starting to trade. They thought that they will become millionaires in just 1 day or 1 week of trading or they though that when they start trading, they don't lose money. Also because of what they common to see on the internet or social media which advertise by some influencers or content creators.
I can relate to this when I was newbie before.
1976  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is There Any Reality Behind Hash Tag Altcoinseason or it's Just a Myth? on: September 26, 2022, 03:31:40 PM
I think during the bull run 2017-2018 when started that hash tag or trend. I think that is only a niche where very bull run there is a new trend, just like recently where we saw Decentralized Finance (DeFi) or Non Fungible Tokens (NFT).
As I remember last 2017-2018 where ICO fever happened, any altcoins which got ICO they are just flying even how shitcoins they are, there are lot of people lost money during that time.
1977  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The hunt for better layer 2 projects on: September 26, 2022, 03:24:08 PM
It's time to start DCA into layer 2 projects like Optimism or Metis Dao but I really want to know which one you think is better between this two because I will be investing more money into one than the other, also do you think that Lido dao is better than any of the two? Do drop your suggestion.
It's my first time hearing Metis Dao and I just checked it and seems also a quality project just like Optimism as a layer 2 project.
But my vote is for Optimism, even though these 2 projects started during the bear market, they are both superb as they are built both on top of Ethereum.
I'll still go with highest market cap which is Optimism.
1978  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: At what point do you sell your Bitcoin forever, OR wait to buy back later ??? on: September 25, 2022, 11:17:18 PM
(....)
1.   At what point do you guys lose faith in the dream of Bitcoin going to the moon, cut your losses and sell ??

2.   At what point do you sell your Bitcoin, Convert to cash, and wait to buy 20 times as many Bitcoin at a much lower price, say something like 1000 dollars ??

3.   Would you never sell, no matter what is happening in the crypto world, and ride Bitcoin down to the bottom ??

1. First, I am using Bitcoin not only for investment but also for innovation of it and the future, that's why I do not a guy that is into an investment, I always expect Bitcoin will still regain it's all-time-high.

2. I will still not sell my Bitcoin not unless I need some funds that are in an emergency. Will still continue to be cheap once we will again drop below $10,000.

3. Yes, I will never sell even how dip we are or dump we will experience as I already huge drop around 2018-2019 before.
1979  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is permissable in Islam. on: September 25, 2022, 01:01:52 PM
Depending on usage. Bitcoin is legal if used as a medium of trade. For instance, utilizing Bitcoin for cash transactions similar to those using fiat currencies.
Don't limit your understanding since Bitcoin has been explicitly governed by Muslims.
Yeah, depends on usage. As far as I know, there are lot of prohibited by their religion, especially gambling, so if you do gambling using Bitcoin, for sure it's not legal based on their religion.
I have a friend of mine that also mentioned I think about doubling your money or somehow joining non-legit platforms.

Basically, Bitcoin is like fiat that they are using daily, you can use it anywhere, legal or non legal.
1980  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Binance trading activity is 13x larger than any other exchange on: September 25, 2022, 11:50:13 AM
(....)
They told me they preferred more risky options and not the classic ones.
Lol. Why? Why do they don't trust these legit and reputable exchanges more than using other platforms that we can't trust at all?
Besides Binance, there are a lot of trusted and reputable exchanges too, just like FTX, Bybit, Okex, etc.
There are some traders who uses different exchanges for their different purposes or the one they used to be.
