1801  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The pump of Trust Wallet Token (TWT) on: November 15, 2022, 01:04:11 AM
I am curious why Trust Wallet, got have its own token which is Trust Wallet Token (TWT), is this not a conflict of interest? I saw some non-custodial wallets and they don't have any tokens that they own it.
Another thing is this Trust Wallet is tied with Binance, Binance is their huge backer I believe. Even though this wallet is open source, I don't really trust this wallet, just my 2 cents.
1802  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC will make it, but might be a long winter-Elon musk on: November 14, 2022, 11:46:35 PM
(.....)
I think he has more knowledge about the market than us that claims to have concrete knowledge about Bitcoin. The crypto market is going to keep growing whether we are ignorant of it or not. He knows how the market is going to play out which he had used few words to express and I will want us all to prepare to the next bull that will take over the market.
I don't think so, if you remember before, Elon Musk having fun on his Twitter-like tweeting some random tweets about Dogecoin or any coins even Bitcoin and you can see the price is moving every time he tweets.
He got knowledge but I am sure it's not that really huge, but we must also believe with Bitcoin because this billionaire guy is also believing so, it's also a relief that he release this kind of statement.
1803  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can my FTX short position make a recovery? on: November 13, 2022, 11:30:42 PM
The main problem here is how you can withdraw your funds to FTX, even if you make a ton of profits from your trades, the ending is your funds are locked, and you can't do anything with them.
Now the FTX app is not working anymore, you can't even check your trade if it's still open or already closed. Some people saying that their funds is already gone, like they don't see their balance anymore but there's no legit proof of it as their app is not working anymore.
1804  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto.com in trouble? on: November 13, 2022, 11:26:49 PM
It seems the contagion started if Crypto.com will follow FTX Exchange.
For me, there are some funds that are locked to Crypto.com, because of their high APY, but your funds are locked for 3 months, it's just sad because I just re-invested only a few days after these issues with centralized exchange happened.
1805  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should you avoid anything funded by Alameda Research / FTX ? on: November 13, 2022, 11:24:17 PM
I just sold my 150 Solana out of FUD ( thinking I might buy it back at $5 soon ), and I am now worried many other projects were backed by Alameda Research. Are these projects doomed too, or can some of them ( like Helium ) survive and eventually thrive again ?
Take Solana as an example of what happened. We all know FTX Exchange is the major backer of Solana and look what happened to Solana, it seems Solana is following the FTT token.
But I believe Solana will still stay even though FTX/Alameda is already out of the market.
Solana is the most used L1 network after Ethereum, so I believe Solana is still worthy, wrong timing only.
1806  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum is centralized, can we trust it anymore? on: November 13, 2022, 11:16:03 PM
We all know ethereum merge of PoW to PoS happened recently which reduced the transaction fee a lot but it become more centralized than before so what is going to be the future of ethereum?
(....)
This is a very common problem of Proof-of-stake (POS) protocols, this is already proven with other networks, like Solana or Binance Smart Chain.
A lot of people also bash Ethereum becoming Proof-of-stake (POS) because of the centralization problem. Since they are saying that the solution of scalability is this Proof-of-stake (POS) but the decentralization is now the problem.
1807  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where would you stake stablecoins now? OKx KYC Bonus on: November 13, 2022, 11:13:30 PM
I think you didn't missed FTX bankruptcy news right? any users who have coins on FTX are gone since they can't withdraw their coins. I would risk to get 10% for up to $2,000 because I will just risking all of my money, it doesn't funny if I lose all of my money that I was accumulate since long time until right now. OKx is centralized and I don't think there's a decentralized platform who offer staking feature. The real decentralized platform was created isn't for to make profit.
Exactly. This is also what I am thinking, lol. This is not the first time. If you remember Terra Luna, they have this platform called Anchor where you need to stake LUNA's stablecoin UST with high APY. And shit happens, their APY is 20% which you will get the 20% for a year but in just a day you will lose more than 20% of its value. Really not worth, and now this FTX exchange happened. It's totally devastating.
1808  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BYBIT have delisted FTT (basically " YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO HAVE AN ADVANTAGE") on: November 13, 2022, 11:10:16 PM
What would happen to those traders who have shorted since say $25???
Their shorts are probably closed. So they are way better of if they have shorted it in Bybit then let's say FTX for example. You need a little sense of proportion here. Talking about ethical behavior when TENS of BILLIONS have been gone up in smoke and FTX dumped every coin they had. They even got hacked and you are talking about some exchange delisting something which happens all the time.
(>...)
Exactly, this is very common to some exchanges when you have an open position and the pair you traded will be delisted from the exchange, I believe they did notice this delisting. It will just automatically close.
So for me, they have the right to do this. If OP is worried about closing it's position, OP can use other exchange that FTT is still listed, there are still lot of exchanges that FTT is still available.
1809  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FTX exchange is going to be bankrupted. What happens to FTX Token? on: November 13, 2022, 11:06:07 PM
Hi All,

FTX is filing for bankruptcy. Do any Crypto masters know what will happen to FTX Token? Will it get delisted? Sad day for the crypto space.
I am thinking FTT (FTX token) will go like what happened to Terra Luna tokens. It will be lost its value and become volatile. I am also wondering why the FTT token still not dropping to $0 or below $1, it's still above $1. Some people saying that there is some FTT token that is still locked, that's why we still can't see below $1 or $0 for FTT.

Hi All,

FTX is filing for bankruptcy. Do any Crypto masters know what will happen to FTX Token? Will it get delisted? Sad day for the crypto space.
Since the website had been hacked then that is a big problem for the team and the FTX assets. Hearing about the hack and how the crypto market was affected by this huge loses makes me ponder on who is next to have this similar problem.
(.....)
I believe it's still not fully confirmed or official that they hacked. Let's hope it's not true because if so, they are totally fucked up, all their money is gone if it is legit.
1810  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ONE MAJOR LESSON LEARNT SO FAR THIS WEEK FROM THE CRYPTO MARKET 😥 on: November 13, 2022, 11:01:37 PM
(.....)
I personally, learnt to always take profit.
Exactly! Especially if you are trading, taking profits is a must. And if you are an investor and the reason why you invested is that you have a goal in the future especially to multiply your money so you can't achieve it without taking profits.
There are lot of people that always regretting that they are not taking any profits along the way and they always ended up losing or bankruptcy.
"Don't marry your altcoins".
1811  Economy / Exchanges / Re: FTX has been hacked, delete the app, don't go to website on: November 13, 2022, 10:55:01 PM
(....)

This shouldn't be a hack in my opinion because it's too close to their case, whether this is intentional or not but the impression is that FTX wants to wash their hands from their case

deleting the application and not opening the web is currently the best choice because to avoid, forget for a moment the assets that cannot be withdrawn from FTX for a while
Exactly. For me, the official FTX Exchange still didn't release any statement that they have been hacked or funds are already gone.
I already can't open my FTX Exchange app, it just loads forever.
There are things that happen right now as Sam Bankman-Fried is rumored to have been arrested by some local authorities. I tend to wait for official announcements from other legit sources.
1812  Economy / Speculation / Re: It's a Great Chance to Buy Bitcoin before 25 December Bitcoin High Jump ^ on: November 12, 2022, 12:22:31 AM
This is an opportunity for the new investors to enter in the Bitcoin Rovolution for taking part in the Financial Climate Change (FCC) 2022.
(.....)
You also need to consider those people who tell you during the peak of Bitcoin that they will buy once the price of Bitcoin falls below $20,000 or in any price target they said their buying zone. Because these people for sure are afraid because of what going on in the market right now.
You are right, newbie or people that want to buy Bitcoin, for me, below $20,000 price is my buying zone.
1813  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin really the future of money? on: November 12, 2022, 12:19:42 AM
I never considered it the future of money; rather, I saw it as a means of storage and a bank substitute. Despite its high volatility, Bitcoin is still largely relied on due to its decentralized nature as a means of storing value. Other features of bitcoin that individuals are interested in include the trading aspect, which they appreciate and perceive as a chance to make a lot of money.
(.....)
In short, similar to Gold. A digital gold as others also say about Bitcoin. Which is also ending up as a store of value.
So for me, I agree that Bitcoin is a store of value, which is in digital form.
We all know how Bitcoin works and it's economics, which if you think and look for long term, it is indeed a store of value over the time.
1814  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Not your key not your coins is real, not just quoted. on: November 12, 2022, 12:15:41 AM
(.....)
There are already wallets where you can keep the private key with free and open source, I don't know why they don't think that. I don't know why they believe the exchange than himself?
Because some people, don't really know why having a non-custodial wallet is very important. Having your Bitcoins in a wallet to which you got only access is lifechanging and it will help you to be safe with all these issues right now especially centralized exchanges. Some also, want easy access to their funds because we all know exchange only got email addresses and passwords.
1815  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is "Solana" Will be the Next to get Killed.. on: November 10, 2022, 03:19:19 AM
Solana will be volatile these coming hours and days for sure. There are a lot of people started to unstake their SOL and for sure some of them will start selling, what's the point they unstake if they don't sell it?
This is really alarming, we all know FTX Exchange is really into Solana, Solana is like a BNB of Binance Exchange for FTX Exchange. I am still hoping that FTX will solve all of these.
1816  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coins on an exchange, any exchange, are never safe on: November 10, 2022, 03:05:44 AM
Why, with so many examples of failures, do people continue to keep their money on these?
(....)
For sure, it's the most convenient way to access your funds, with easy access, you just need your email and password compared to using a personal wallet where you need to secure such things to make it secure but I don't agree with people that use their exchange account to store funds if they are not touching it at all, better to use personal wallet where you control it.
Crypto exchange must be only be use when trading so what's on your crypto account must be your funds that is for trading only not savings.
1817  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Litecoin a forgotten cryptocurrency? on: November 10, 2022, 03:02:30 AM
What do you think about LTC? Will it die soon? Or will it last? Do you think it'll go sky-high sometime in the future? If not, why? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Smiley
(....)
We all know that Litecoin is forked of Bitcoin. I believe that Litecoin will stay as Bitcoin stays.
Last part this will be on the side of Bitcoin just like other cryptocurrencies right now, most altcoins these days are correlate with Bitcoin but there are some altcoins that are totally shit or not legit but Litecoin, I trust it, Litecoin is already here for aged.
1818  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Recent event: Stay away from centralized exchanges (FTX, Binance, etc), use DEX on: November 10, 2022, 02:25:33 AM
There's also a news if Binance want to acquire FTX [3] even though Binance is the top 1 centralized exchange, don't forget Binance has an accusation where they block user withdrawal [4] and force anyone to submit KYC [5]
(....)
There are also a lot of people saying that if Binance acquires FTX exchange the hole must not be really huge that can Binance afford it, because if FTX exchange will fall and for sure the entire market will also get affected and that also guarantees that there will be some losses from Binance too but I believe they already calculated for different scenarios.
Overall, the downfall of FTX exchange is not a win for Binance or other exchanges.
1819  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto dump is just getting started? on: November 10, 2022, 02:21:55 AM
I think a lot of people had money on FTX. Many withdrew partially because they assumed it was FUD. Many didn’t withdraw anything at all.
(....)
Exactly! I am also a victim here, at first when the issue started to pop public, I am really saying it was just a FUD, I tried to withdraw a small number of funds from the FTX exchange and went succeeded, but after a few hours when withdrawals halted, I deposited some amount which my plan is just to convert it to another chain and until now the withdrawal is still pending.
1820  Economy / Speculation / Re: what caused the bitcoin price to drop today? on: November 10, 2022, 02:10:54 AM
(...)
(....)
I still remember on January 31, 2022 after completing the series C fundraising, FTX was valued at 32 billion, this is not a small number and less than 1 week, the market capitalization has decreased by more than 150 billion and will continue if there is official information about the bankruptcy of FTX.
[/quote]
This is also one of the many reasons why a lot of people trusted FTX Exchange, because of their value, it's not a small amount of money. FTX exchange is a well-established exchange I believe after the Binance exchange. And add up also about how SBF did a positive act with Voyager before.
It seems they used the money of their customer for something and something went wrong.
