501  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Wondering out loud: Which should Chinese miners support - Core, Classic or another? on: January 29, 2016, 08:40:13 PM
Go back whining on reddit, or vote on consider.it.

Bitcoin's sound money and security attributes comes first.

Gmax explanation is thoughtful, Core devs does not have the power, nor the will, to force contentious hardfork and break bitcoin's consensus rule.

That is all, there is nothing you or anyone can do about it.

Sorry your head got brainwashed by the full of shit socialist mainstreameries.
I will not even waste my time discussing here with you.

People like you will be made obsolete when the hard fork comes. And it will come as soon as the networks starts really congesting.

This platform completely sucks for discussion anyway, this is why I don't even come here anymore. Also, this forum is censored - the same as /r/bitcoin - by the small block supporters of which gmaxwell himself is.
Oh, and by the way, he also condones the censorship.

Just an average redditor, wailing and stamping their feet with typical, toddler-esque demands that reflect their principle concept of reality. "CENSORSHIP! is their battle cry, when there are literally hundreds of mediums on the internet to get your voice heard.

People like you make reddit just look stupid.
502  Economy / Services / Re: YoBit.Net - Signature Campaign - Realtime Payouts (daily) on: January 29, 2016, 07:57:25 PM
I usually dont moove the funds from signature around a week,i see no problem to let the balance over a week or more then those, yobit never missed a payment and they have reputation and funds to cover their own campaign.I believe some people that use bitcoins daily as looks like you do must cashout daily the balance even 0,018btc not being too much but well you can invest them at others coins soo in the end may make difference, just an outside note wow what happened to doge at 37 satoshis amazing.

No actually I had all my earnings for ~ 1month saved there. I don't have a need to move them more often than that to save on tx fees. No matter how good an exchange is or it's reputation I know never to leave more than a trivial amount of funds there. History and all.
503  Economy / Services / Re: YoBit.Net - Signature Campaign - Realtime Payouts (daily) on: January 29, 2016, 02:48:47 PM
hi i dont know whats the problem, but ive been trying to get my btc and put it in my yobit wallet but i can do it.
can anyone tell what should i do.

if you check posts above yours you will know that the send to balance button isn't working, you need to just wait for it to be fixed usually around 2-3days time, try to send them a ticket that might speed up the the fixing

oh ok! i thought there was a countdown before claiming again. thanks for clearing that up.

Seems to be working again. I decided from now on I will run a macro that automatically sends it to my balance every hour if there is a positive number so I'm not left waiting 3 days again with so much locked funds.
504  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Analysis and list of top big blocks shills (XT #REKT ignorers) on: January 29, 2016, 02:22:17 PM
If you prove we will not see over 10 TB HDDs in mass production in the following 6 years, then you can get some big blockers more sceptical about scaling above 2 or 4 MB. So go ahead.
You said 10-100TB, which implied a tenfold increase in 6 years. This is not likely.

All we have to do is loudly demand 100TB hard drives be available in 6 years.

Obnixious repetitive complaining will force those lazy, stubborn, greedy bastards at Seagate and Western Digital to come up with a solution.

That's how engineering works, right?   Tongue

How dare those bastards censor us! We will start a new subreddit r/100tbHardDrives and show them what everyone wants. Nevermind that the engineers have told us repeatedly told us they can't make 100TB+ HDD's at this time, WE WANT IT AND WE WANT IT NOW.

Lol damn you're fast. Thanks for the screenshot, I can use that  Wink
WOW, not too many dev's have this kind of commitment to their coins. I'm glad I chose your coins.

I just discovered this project and like what you are doing with the small embedded devices. A lot of my work in Bitcoin centers around this and kryptoradio technology - so no internet? No problem! Cheesy

I will read more of the thread and update when I am a bit more educated on this.
506  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-01-10] Bitcoin.org Violates its Mission Statement to Censor Coinbase on: January 29, 2016, 12:56:06 PM
Almost immediately after publicizing their support for Gavin Andressen’s BIP 101 and Bitcoin XT, Coinbase was removed from Bitcoin.org.
The de-listing of Coinbase’s bitcoin wallet platform followed a major upheaval in the Bitcoin community, as many of its members began to contest against Bitcoin.org’s unsupported decision to remove the world’s 2nd largest bitcoin wallet application from its website.
http://www.newsbtc.com/2016/01/10/bitcoin-org-violates-its-mission-statement-to-censor-coinbase/

I think their argument would be that Bitcoin XT is a fork and therefore and alt-coin and therefore not bitcoin and therefore they are no longer supporting bitcoin.

Right or wrong, I believe that is what they would say at least in part.

If XT is supported by 75% of the payment processors and miners, then Core is the fork. The community decides.

XT itself is dead. Done for. The new "Classic" proposal will fare no better, see the comments above on what this so-called democracy will do for banks. Supporters of a fork will play right into government hands.
507  Economy / Lending / Re: 2.5 btc / collateral account on: January 28, 2016, 11:38:17 PM
Usually when newbies ask for loans with accounts as collateral, they have zero intention of making good on it.
508  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: JOB with Bitcoin 2.0 company [Bangkok] on: January 28, 2016, 11:23:05 AM
@LiberOptions. It is a great opportunity and Thailand is the amazing place to live. We are looking for people around the world who is qualified enough to do the job. Travel expenses is on applicant, but we'll help with living arrangements of course. Living in Thailand is not expensive.

@siameze. We are already looking at Ethereum as a possible migration destination to increase the transaction speed. However such migration won't happen in the near future. Bitgold claims to be on blockchain but I don't see it. They have no wallet, no coin, no transparency. Just shuffling the numbers representing gold grams between internal accounts.

Perhaps this article with my interview will give a more clearer picture of what we do and our challenges
http://themerkle.com/interviews/good-as-gold-midasrezerv/

Thanks for commenting, guys. Please share.

I will follow the project until such a time that an Ethereum switch is made. I personally just don't want to do business with any Ethereum-related companies, since 99% of what is produced is vaporware.
509  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: FLYCOIN FORUM, Here Ya can post your real feelings and concerns on: January 28, 2016, 11:05:37 AM
Ya know,

it seems Vegas slipped some of da Mods a little dough,

as dis forum was created under Altcoin Announcements , where it should still be!

but someone moved it to da Altcoin Discussion forum, without even tellin me.

And Vegas still runnin a give-a-way forum and dey say nothin to him.

Just Sayin.

AG18

It had to be BTC they were slipped. If you get paid in FLY good luck getting that moved anywhere in a decent timetable considering there is only one exchange that accepts it (that I know of) with a propped-up price.
510  Economy / Services / Re: YoBit.Net - Signature Campaign - Realtime Payouts (daily) on: January 28, 2016, 11:03:41 AM
I reported button a few pages back in this thread, it was the first time it had happened to me since I am relatively new to YoBit. SUpport replied to my ticket and said it "would be fixed today" or something.

I'm not too worried since I just let my signature earning accumulate during the month for later trade or whatever, but I am sure it will be fixed soon.  Cool
511  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin arbitrage on GitHub: ~2% monthly return, market-neutral long/short on: January 28, 2016, 11:00:00 AM
Resolved it by activating the Bitstamp API Key. Yes, my bad. Obviously, Bitstamp does not activate new API Keys by default. A documentation for the setup of all supported exchanges and better error handling would be great.

I can take care of the documenation part if there is enough interest.

PS.: I am currently trying to get 796 working, but struggling. Does anybody have a working 796 integration?

Just checked this thread, but glad you got your API key working. I haven't tried 796 integration myself but it is most likely possible. Perhaps dev will add it in the future.
512  Economy / Services / Re: YoBit.Net - Signature Campaign - Realtime Payouts (daily) on: January 27, 2016, 08:52:38 PM
The "Send to my BTC balance" button isn't working on this page for me: https://yobit.net/en/signature

I assume it has something to do with them being down this morning. I put in a ticket and will update if there is a reply.
513  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: hello to all (Question) on: January 27, 2016, 07:25:37 PM

I could not read this image, as it is too small to be read, blowing it up makes it illegible. Do you perhaps have a transcription?

It is a message that says you must update name of the Address
[/quote]

Well it appears that you are given a link with instructions to fix your problem, failing that I don't know.  Grin
514  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: hello to all (Question) on: January 27, 2016, 07:19:02 PM

left only This problem and I do not understand how to fix it (Name of the address field has to be updated)

515  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] Send emails from ANY address on: January 27, 2016, 07:03:22 PM
With a proxy you can just use: https://emkei.cz/ for free ( Though you might want to donate using the site's QR codes, apparently they accept BTC and LTC).

Literally there are hundreds of scripts or sites where you can do this at no cost.

Actually siameze pretty much hit the nail on the head...

I guess I'm gonna have to dig through my digital files and find something good to sell... Sorry guys if this was too stupid. Just trying to find something I can sell that's not outright illegal. :-)

I'll find something better!  Smiley

It can still be a viable service if no one wants to use the standard sites. I am sure that you can make much more BTC with a little creativity though. You're in the right ballpark though, mate. Wink

517  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Secure Linux Distribution for Bitcoin using? on: January 27, 2016, 06:20:04 PM
all linux distro can be secure, my favourite method is:

- download debian netinstall
- install it on a usb key (even 8GB is more than enough)
- of course i choose full disk encryption during install
- boot from usb (can boot on any computer)
- install a few packages (a gui, electrum wallet, whatever you like but only what is essential)
- if you are a linux pro you can configure further security (tons of tutorials online) otherwise go to next step
- done, enjoy your bitcoins

now all your system is on an encrypted usb key (do not forget the passphrase!), you can boot anywhere on almost any existing compoter, all files get saved on the usb and you have no access to the host computer (and viceversa)

do not use kali, it's a distribution meant to test security, not to be secure
you can use tails but is overkill, it is meant to (try to) be anonymous, works on tor network and you have to use a modified version of firefox, depending on your needs can be a good choice (btw i wouldn't use it only for btc)

i wouldn't use the other bitcoin oriented distros as well (i wouldn't trust), i know for sure that debian has excellent and safe code and so i would build my system on top of that

Also, the derp mentioning kali linux forgot to mention that all commands are run as root on that particular distro unless you specifically set up a user account, definitely what you don't want to do when using Bitcoin.

With a little patience and reading it won't take long until you can build a nice gentoo from scratch and only emerge the packages you need.

519  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: JOB with Bitcoin 2.0 company [Bangkok] on: January 27, 2016, 05:54:01 PM
Appears this is a "token" for trading gold. I guess it is good being on the bitcoin blockchain, instead of the bitgold method of having an entirely different mechanism.

I would love the opportunity to work for a crypto company, alas Thailand isn't in my future yet. I prefer doing remote admin type jobs. Cheesy
520  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Help, forgotten wallet pass on: January 27, 2016, 05:26:27 PM
Today I wanted to send some dogecoins and it asked me for a password. I had totally forgotten I set one for my wallet.
To be honest I still can't remember setting one.
Anyway I really need your guys help if you know of a tool to brute force the password , free service or you guys to help me figure out the password.

Probably the password I used was along the lines like P1O9T9T3Y -> You can see its the word Potty with the number 1993 mixed in between the letters.

I already tried every possible combination of the passwords I normally use for registering forums, e-mails, games and crap like that.
I remember thinking of a password that was different from the ones I normally use. (The ones I use are not too complex)

EDIT: Maybe I mixed my username between some numbers...

This person may be able to help you: http://www.walletrecoveryservices.com/

I am trying to find the bitcointalk thread will update if I find it.
