Bryce has notified me that he has now merged all pull requests into the /Unobtanium-official/ Git.
Should we believe anything Bryce says at this point? That guy seems to be delusional and poisonous, and never finishes anything as promised. Look at NAUT PoS and his horrible behavior with XSEED for two of many examples. It was bound to happen sooner or later. Following a huge brute force attack on the admin account, Unobtanium.uno is being ddos'ed in a major way.
I have implemented Cloudflare ddos protection. Please give a day for the new DNS settings to propagate. Until then the site will appear offline, but expect to see it again within 24 hours.
Consider it a complement. Only important altcoins that have an amazing long term future should anticipate being ddos'ed.
This also has targeted nodes and mining pools. All coins are being "tested" for the stress indicators I was discussing with IMZ a few weeks ago in that CVE. |

As I said, I supported this pair UNO/DMD, because I like the idea of an Unobtanium market!
That's what we need now. The Uno exchange rate would be stabilized and yes, I'm invested.
This is the only advantage I see at the moment in Cryptopia. Of course for THIS reason I hope, it will succeed!

If 0.18000001 is too expensive, just sell at 0.18000000. The problem many people have, is they cannot estimate if the price ist fair. I also don't think, cryptopia has a future. Too many useless fantasy-coins! We do not need more Fantasy-Coins without function. What we need are functional coins. Unobtanium actually has as one of the first commodities.

After arguing alot with Cex support, the result is, that they won't change the rounding system for fiat currencies to more than 2 decimal places in near future (like they did for virtual currencies).
The reason the support told me is, that they already have a competitive low fee.
I read out of that statement, that they need any cent they can get from their customers through rounding.
I don't think it is okay, to advertise with a low fee and then scrape together everything they can get via rounding from their customers.
It is not very unlikely, that this bot that is placing all those tiny orders at the orderbook, is from cex.io itself to maximise their profits.
So everyone trading at cex.io, be aware of those small orders at the orderbook and keep in mind, that for that amounts, you will pay a much higher fee.
This is e.g. very important for trading bots. If you don't keep that in mind, it could happen that your bot says he made some nice profit, but in fact he made big losses!

I use 64 bit but a custom binary so it doesn't really affect me. The updates work fine, and touchscreen is wonderful xD

Since the guild took matters into their own hands and decided to put an end to the controversy their way, I've removed references to it from the unobtanium.uno website.
In the process I fixed the Cryptsy ticker - for some reason their primary API server doesn't seem to work reliably right now, so I switched to #2 which seems to work. If anyone notices problems with it in the future please let me know.
@Gekko: I've got no repect for the way you behaved on this issue, there was absolutely no need to play dictator here and even less to be abusive and threaten folks. Not. Cool.

do we need to organize more dedicated seed nodes?
i don't think it would hurt, but given the # of uno block explorers some what redundant.
I had mentioned a project that would put an easy, cheap (~$20 US) seed node in the hands of anyone. If I can dig up that post I will let you know. |

Utility is important for certain coins. Coins like Potcoin, utility was king. If you couldn't get pot for your Potcoin, there was no utility, it was (is) a trash coin. To act like any of these coins offer real utility over what already exists out there, come on, really? What does btc and ltc offer over me using my credit card? The opportunity to not give those fat cat bankers more of my money. After that..? The chains offer something unique. The coin is the byproduct that is paid to the worker bee to keep the chain moving. Carrot on the stick for the miner.
Is there any way to tell if a wallet is dead? Like a number of the top 100 wallets haven't been touched for well over a year. Can we ever really know about these zombie wallets? It isn't really so important except for that each Uno becomes that much more special for every wallet that falls into the oblivion.
What type of utility could Uno possibly have?
I don't mind Uno's distribution so much. Everyone who has any stake had to either mine it or buy it.
Why is there this rush to make money? Lots of other markets to play. Slow and steady has been the Uno thing for a while now.
I keep wondering the same thing. The push for Chinese adoption, while noble, could actually have the reverse effect. As one of my wise friends said today, the Chinese simply see BTC as another Crimea, to farm to death to the bedrock. Then leave, like locusts. |

I would love to see the original blue color on the site too, instead of the little yellow un periodic table thing.
There will be a redesign of the site at some point I certainly hope there is a site redesign. One that doesn't include the name of script-kiddie scam devs. |
