Maybe they offered free English lessons at scam coders academy.

Awesome news garmin, I'll keep on the watch. I have some in cold storage, but have damn near lost all my play ones in that addictive wheel game. Tongue
1265  Economy / Exchanges / Re: ***Official CEX.IO Thread*** on: June 28, 2015, 04:23:42 PM
My miners still produce a steady payout there, and I am watching the announcements page closely on site for the when/if of cloud mining again. GH/s trading (and having them available to mine a bit too) was always my most profitable option there.

I don't buy BTC there, but that is also a nice feature.

You really don't mind only getting 1-5 blocks a day with your miners? I assume you are not paying for power then.

It really isn't any of your concern what my profit margins are and how I make my BTC.    /ignore
1266  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Update to 0.10 Wallet - Merge Mine w/BTC! on: June 27, 2015, 10:19:21 PM

To be honest I stopped buying this coin when pumpers moved in.  For me personally and ethically it is a lose-lose.  I may make some additional coin, but at another's expense, which is not right, and IMHO devalues the overall effect of the coin, my long term holdings.  I haven't bought coin for some months now but will gladly start buying again when the threat of a pump and the unpredictability it brings (and the associate negative karma) lifts.

Wow, someone till has some ethics there may be hope for crypto yet. Why worry about the guild? It was a strawman argument anyway honestly.
1267  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Update to 0.10 Wallet - Merge Mine w/BTC! on: June 27, 2015, 09:11:02 PM

Yes move forward and cut everything that keep you from moving ! .... but I guess since Geko is here don't be surprise if you see blood some time!  Unless we all successful ignore negative personal stuff....

As I said last week, a fork in the road. There are more untoward things happening in the UNO community besides the guild. The Guild is fine.

Food for thought: HERE

It is a computer code in which some individuals deem to have intrinsic value.

I am at least glad to know you understand that.
Hey siameze, glad that you are still here!

I had some extra popcorn, thought I'd use it on this thread. Still kinda sad, IMZ is the whole reason I even know about UNO.

1270  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: http://www.xscrypt.com - This is a scam, I made the script. on: June 27, 2015, 07:55:34 AM
Wow, that site gives a hourly payout of 6933 satoshis while the cost is only 0.029616 BTC (2,961,600 satoshis). Then the 'break even' time is only 428 hours (about 18 days). That very high payout of that site already implies that it is 99.99% a scam.

Hello, you is wrong, its not hourly, its each 6 hours. Its not const only 0.029616, that price is one week of 20% discount, its already ended. and now cost 0.03702.

Our roi is about 4 months and 8 months of profits.

Best Regards
You is wrong?! First you are wrong with the grammar. Second, your site said:
Quote
Hourly Mining Payment (send on each 6 hours): 0.00006933 BTC (Automatically sent to your btc account)
and this will mislead people that it is 6933 satoshi hourly. Please improve your English skills before you're trying to scam.

Scammers care about as much for proper grammar as they do for proper code.  Cheesy

No shortage of drama for sure but soon China and the biebercoin market will be UNO's salvation.  Roll Eyes
1272  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: http://www.xscrypt.com - This is a scam, I made the script. on: June 26, 2015, 03:00:14 PM
The whole point of scamming is getting money for nothing, so scripts used are simple and probably can be made by anyone.

Clearly this guy is just trying to get attention, like so many other hackers who feed their ego by telling random strangers how much crimes they committed.

Precisely this, an ego boost if you will. Most never move beyond the scam scripts to more advanced forms of coding.

A lot of things have happened since the topic of his thread was first discussed. Where does everyone stand on XT here, and is anyone already using it? I am just curious to know.

Thanks, I had also seen that topic. To clarify, I was wanted to see if anyone in this thread had changed their wallet setup due to this.

Bwahahaha:
Code:
bool BitcreditGUI::eventFilter(QObject *obj, QEvent *event)
... now I can tell the widgets what to do, not the other way around.  Grin

I have only started learning this mysterious QT stuff, but I must admit >:3

I use proxychains with bitcoin client, but I am unsure if there is a suitable alternative for other platforms.
1277  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gregory Maxwell threatens to sell his bitcoins and find other things to work on on: June 25, 2015, 10:26:48 AM
Egads, what a boggling thread. (I will not be sending a christmas card to the mean person that sent me this link! Smiley ).

Go read the context.  Someone was asking me why I'm not doing the some PR blitz to influence people's thinking.  My response was that I don't care to win people over, that if Bitcoin's survival depends on constantly making rescuing it with a political sales pitch and a mass market PR campaign then I think that would mean that its already a failure.  I don't actually believe it is a failure but I'm not frightened of it becoming one, though I'd think it would be a bit sad to have wasted many years chasing a windmill and for the world to lose this opportunity;  but that said, I can just leave if it goes the highly centralized route, and go work on something that still has a prospect of success-- there are just too many important things that need to be done.  I don't think there is anything "threatening" or anything about that.

I care a lot about defending, protecting, and nurturing the system, but not so much that I feel compelled to go around trying to reprogram people to get my way.  To even admit that doing so would be possible is an admission that the system cannot work.   So I'm happy to continue to just communicate frankly in the forums and means that I normally communicate in and see how the experiment pans out. Smiley

In my opinion, reddit has never been the center of highly critical thinking. Lately r/bitcoin seems to be a game of "follow the leader" - much like you mentioned it appears they only wish to reprogram folks to get their way. I also agree that insane and annoying sales pitches do more harm than good.
1278  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [SALE!] Unobtanium Pure Silver Wallet - Plated available on: June 25, 2015, 10:22:14 AM
