321  Other / Meta / Re: If I'm Satoshi Nakamoto How do I prove it? on: February 01, 2024, 03:22:33 AM
What's interesting is he never actually signed a message with this key, as far as we know.
Signing a message is not mandatory. If Satoshi Nakamoto already announced his PSG key and his Bitcoin addresses, when he comes back, he can sign messages from those keys as part of evidence. Maybe we will need more than just signed messages to verify Satoshi Nakamoto return.

Quote
But signing the same message from both bitcoin address and PGP key would certainly be a good start for proving that he was back.
Similarly for proving ownership of satoshi account in Bitcointalk.
His account is locked, so no. If he wants to claim his account, he'll have to contact me with a PGP signature.
322  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀-Sportsbet.io-🚀 Official Partner of Newcastle United Football Club on: January 31, 2024, 11:54:14 PM
Must watch this match, I guess Liverpool will give their best at Anfield - Jota, Nunez and Diaz are already savage enough for this Liverpool front line to penetrate the Chelsea defense with more goals maybe.
Suppose if we lose it won't affect the table but I'm not sure we'll lose tonight.
With this big winning against Chelsea even Chelsea are no longer strong like some seasons ago, Liverpool shown that they are actually on fire. They maintain 5 points more than Manchester City and are creating more pressure on the competitor. Manchester City can reduce it to 2 points but at least with the temporary 5 point difference, Manchester City would feel pressure that they can not lose points when Liverpool are on fire like this. In addition, it's good to see Diaz came back as it's a long time since his last goal for Liverpool.

Liverpool are ready to celebrate a farewell of Klopp with titles.
323  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: better to send BTC to Wallet address or to my Public Key? on: January 31, 2024, 11:38:59 PM
does it make a difference if the sender tranfers BTC funds to my Wallet address or to my Public Key?
Difference between sending BTC through a public key and a public address was explained by hossenimir.

If you want to understand more about Public Key and Public address, read chapter Chapter 4, Key and Addresses in Mastering Bitcoin book 3rd edition.

A process of creating Private key > Public key > Public address is one way and you can not do the opposites like finding a public key from public address, private key from a public key. So it's safe to send your bitcoin through public key.

However, nowadays, people mostly use Public Addresses, like they use centralized exchange, wallets provide them public addresses. If you use public key for transactions, you will create inconvenience for them and for you as well.

Deposits get credited after one network confirmation which can take long depending on how much fees you paid. Although recently the fees had sky-rocketed, they are down now to manageable levels and they should not take long. If you have any other questions, dont hesitate to ask here.
Credit a deposit after one confirmation is a common standard on many platforms. Because with one transaction, it is save to credit it to an account balance for user to bet, then withdraw if they want. Usually platforms will require a higher confirmations for withdrawals than deposits. If they require 1 confirmation for deposit, they will require 2 or 3 confirmations for withdrawal plus some other conditions to avoid money laundering.

The user can read this article to understand more about it.
How many Bitcoin confirmations is enough?
325  Economy / Gambling / Re: JustCasino.io | Get the Best Crypto Casino Experience on: January 30, 2024, 03:41:32 PM
Most of the casinos usually do this. I'm playing in JustCasino for the last few days and I was asked for KYC when I tried to withdraw $40 lol. Their team found it something suspicious on my account. However, there are players who have withdrawn far higher amount without KYC too.
So, it's not confirmed that every users or only big winners will be asked for KYC. It's case by case.
It happens with centralized exchanges too and they can ask customers to do KYC or do advanced KYC when their system is triggered by their tools. So even people are using a not mandatory KYC platform (casino or exchange), be prepared that someday they will have to do KYC.

It can come from policy changes on that platform or just by system trigger from suspicious log in, probably cheat or investigation on deposit.
326  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Does defunct bitcoinmarket.com stored bitcoin? on: January 30, 2024, 03:36:59 PM
Found their discussion thread New exchange (Bitcoin Market)
In that thread, dwdollar had a post with an email address for support.

Quote
Yes just like any other centralized exchanges, they held/controlled the bitcoins. dwdollar's last active date is almost a year but they are involved in an altcoin called GCC (check their signature) so may wanna try reaching out thru that coin's channels.
Another way to hope for support is sending an email to bitcoinmarket@gmail.com

Two newbie accounts appeared here to ask something and I don't know where they were from 2010 to 2019?

Asking for support 9 years (in 2019) and 14 years (2024) after that exchange was closed long time ago, is something odd and hopelessly. I were not here in 2010 but from the owner account (dwdollar), without red trust, negative trust feedback, it seems that exchange was closed without issues to customers.
327  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you ready for the Bitcoin bull market? What's your plan? Some ideas for you on: January 30, 2024, 02:27:05 PM
I personally plan to do that with some of my Bitcoin this time around, and buy back a bit on the crash in 2026.
If history repeats itself, it is good to start DCA in Q3 2026 and continue till the end of 2027.

Quote
Oh also good job pointing out that the last bear market was the least severe yet.

In the next bear market, if the companies in the industry can learn from the mistakes of last time and avoid those sorts of collapses, I wouldn't be surprised to see Bitcoin crash only maybe 55-60%.
I think different.

I expect new all time highs, new parabolic curves will be smaller than previous three cycles BUT I expect the future corrections from all time highs to market bottoms will be nearly the same like somewhere around 70% to 80%.

Bottom line is if you know from bottom price, Bitcoin will make its new all time high like x2 or x3 from the bottom, who actually cares about 10% cheaper for entry.

This chart is a good reminder for people who are panic before a Bitcoin halving and a big bull run.
328  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Spot ETF Tracker on: January 30, 2024, 02:12:03 PM
As expected, the latest report shows that selling pressure from Grayscale is reducing. It is still early to conclude it will be a trend but we already have some signals for it.

There is $225 net inflow from all Bitcoin Spot ETFs and new 9 ETFs will soon surpass MicroStrategy as you can see from the two following table and chart.original links are in images.

Let's keep eyes on it and when OTC market is no longer enough for Bitcoin Spot ETFs to buy, they will join Spot market.
329  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin trend accumulation score by cohorts on: January 29, 2024, 10:51:37 AM

It continues to expand with top three cohorts in blue color and if you compare with a chart in OP, a top cohort continues to accumulate bitcoins that is a good on-chain signal of biggest whale cohort's accumulation.

Connect it with previous cycles, when Bitcoin take off around a halving, usually after, it will be unstoppable.
330  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Spot ETF Tracker on: January 29, 2024, 10:16:16 AM
That is simply not true. Much of the Grayscale selling has not be moved over to other ETFs
We can know exactly how many percent of sold bitcoin from Grayscale was absorbed in OTC or Spot markets and by what investors or Bitcoin Spot ETFs.

A summary report from BitMEX research for Bitcoin Spot ETF Flow data from 11 Jan to 26 Jan 2024.

This week will help us to discover whether the sell pressure from Grayscale will reduce much more or even stop.

Bitcoin Spot ETFs take spotlight of cryptocurrency market last two weeks and there are some more sites build up their Bitcoin Spot ETF trackers.

331  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you ready for the Bitcoin bull market? What's your plan? Some ideas for you on: January 29, 2024, 09:59:31 AM
Well, How can you make the most of this bull market? Secondly, only positive things can be anticipated if you fix your investment target level in accordance with your plan and have a clear idea. You can't predict it, though, because we need to know what will happen and can only make educated guesses until we have all the information. You are attempting to recount the Bitcoin's history.
I did not predict anything. Those tweets are not mine and tweets reveal historic rhythm. Believe in history or don't believe in it, it's your freedom and rights. I am not here to convince you to believe in it.

For me, I myself believe in history before a cycle we have a new history.

I am happy to see the tool I have created with JayJuanGee (his ideas) are being useful and people are sharing it!

This is now my withdrawal strategy as well. I am using it as a guide to how much to withdrawal in bull run cycles.
It's because the idea is excellent and you built up a great tool for it. It's not perfect but I am not looking for perfection.

I'd also add: Don't try to find the all time bear run low.

With knowledge you can do variants of DCA by taking advantage to buy more in bear markets and do partial sells in bull markets.
It is true and I did not mention it because this topic is about plan in bull run. So when I was composing this thread, I forgot about bear market.
332  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Are you ready for the Bitcoin bull market? What's your plan? Some ideas for you on: January 28, 2024, 12:26:27 PM
My recommendations

  • Don't try to find All time high, you can not predict it correctly and you will only know ATH of a cycle after you are already in a bear market.
  • Don't time the market. Let's the market runs and try to exit with market cycle length, that you can base on Bitcoin history.
  • Each cycle is unique and it can be longer or shorter than previous cycles but if you make your strategy on average cycle length, you will not take profit too far from the ATH & more important you will be able to avoid stuck too deep in a bear market.
  • If you don't want to exit the market by taking profit with all bitcoins you have, do DCA for profit taking, withdrawal like this strategy.
  • Biggest common mistake of newbies is trying to find absolute bottom or ATH. Just don't!

Now, let's use following flow of thinking and plan from LadyofCrypto1.

I will keep her content originally as it is. My own thinking is above.

Quote
▶️ Some questions & predictions
  • When will Bitcoin break its ATH? November 2024
  • When will the bull run end? September 2025
  • When will most of the new 100x alts be released? Jan-July 2024

Why do I think this? I'll show you below 👇
▶️ This Time Is NOT Different
All I've heard for the past 2 years is "This time is different".

They said the bear would be longer because of FTX and recession...

They said the BTC would break its ATH sooner because of ETFs...

Yet, things have been exactly the same 👇

▶️ Market Tops
In 2017 the bull market peaked exactly 29 months before the halving. In 2021 it did the exact same thing.

Alright, I know, it might just be a coincidence. But what if I told you...

▶️ Bear Market Length
Both the 2018 and 2022 bear markets lasted exactly 12 months. This is crazy when you consider how many people were saying this bear market would be way longer and deeper.

But was it deeper?

No, it wasn't. In the 2018 market, Bitcoin retraced 84%. In the 2022 one there was only a 77% retrace.

So all the drama around the bear market and it ended up being the exact same length as the previous one and percentage-wise... better.

▶️ All Time High
In the last two cycles, Bitcoin broke its all-time high 7 and then 8 months after the halving.

The ETF has so far not propelled BTC to 100k overnight as many assumed. I think that like the last two time, it will be 7-8 months, so, November 2024!

▶️ Bull Run
The last three bull runs lasted 9, 9 and 11 months respectively. This one could be longer but I think 9-11 months is a good target to keep in mind.

I think the next run peaks around September 2025 give or take a month. Let's talk profit-taking.

▶️ Taking Profit
I'll take partial profit slowly the whole run up. I believe that if you're up big you should 5%-10% out to secure profit.

A lot of people say "Don't sell strength"... meh. In crypto things can go from strong to dead in hours.

I'll take a small amount of profit on alts that pump hard but as we get closer to Sep 2025 I'll ramp up profit taking. This is a loose plan and could change!

Some profit will be moved out of crypto and the rest reinvested in new projects with more upside potential 🚀
333  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: CPFP: what infos are needed from the payer on: January 28, 2024, 12:07:41 PM
what infos do I need from the "payer" in order to be able to start a Child-Pays-For-Parent (CPFP)?
If you are the one to make the CPFP, you only need private key of that address but remember using CPFP costs you more transaction fee than RBF so if you can use RBF, do it as your first choice.

I tried reading through the forum about merits and activity and it seems activity is supposed to add up every 14 days so does this mean I have to wait for 2weeks 🥺
Things work the same for every member except Legendary member rank that has a random activity point for a specific user, not the same for all.

You only need 14 more days, to rank up and other campaigns will give your new and even better opportunities to join.

335  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duelbits.com | Casino & Sportsbook | VIP | Instant withdrawals!|ARGENTINA & AVFC on: January 27, 2024, 04:54:11 PM
There are lots of money on political betting, and since Duelbet is a popular and big sportsbook, I would not be surprise if they will add a popular election, particularly the USA election.

Just checked how much money entered during the 2020 election.

Bettors Have Wagered A Record $300 Million On Trump vs. Biden With $500 Million Expected
They started not as a sportsbook casino but they successfully develop their sportsbook and have been operating it very well. Sport events and political election events are different but I believe Duelbits team can handle this.

If they want to deploy this USA. President Election bets for Duelbits users, they can do it and they still have months to put efforts in to this bet product for users.

The President Election in the USA. is one of biggest events globally every four years because it can potentially impact many countries around the world in many aspects from political to economic and social.
336  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: January 27, 2024, 02:41:44 PM
I think maybe Liverpool should prepare some suitable candidates to replace Klopp at the end of the season which will end in a few months. so that several of the selected candidates could immediately fill the coaching vacancy when Klopp left Liverpool. BTW, talking about Klopp having made the choice to retire from the world of football and stop as Liverpool coach really surprised everyone, especially Liverpool supporters.
Liverpool will wait for a new Sport director to be appointed at their club before drafting their plan first. Later they will choose a new coach for the club but I really believe Liverpool will not appoint a new coach before a new sport director.

Klopp has worked for Liverpool nearly 10 years and he is a most senior coach with a club in Premier League if we compare his term length to all coaches since his appearance in Anfield. He has marked big philosophy in Anfield, helped them to win some big titles and ended some decades without a single title. His departure will create big changes in Anfield but it is life.

Lielverpool have to continue walking without Klopp and they have to do best to avoid collapse in performance after this season. Manchester United struggled in many years since a retirement of Sir. Alex Ferguson and Klopp potentially will cause some big issues for Liverpool future.
337  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: January 27, 2024, 01:52:37 PM
On the other hand, people try to compare Bitcoin cycles to predict similar events which are likely to happen again. I've seen the charts from 80 days before halving (2016 and 2020 periods) and they seem consistent with the current one we are seeing, displaying 40%-60% difference in price compared to the respective previous ATH. It gives an optimistic view that everything is under control and happening similarly to previous cycles, so what we should do for now is to keep buying and holding.

The chart shows that Bitcoin has less big corrections with each market cycle from its all time high price. If we look from bottom price to all time high price, Bitcoin has smaller growth cycle by cycle.

It is logic for all assets when market caps are bigger, less volatility in price and smaller as well as slower gorwth with time.

This chart on Bitcoin correction is an insightful summary but it does not guarantee that latest correction we saw will be last one of Bitcoin market before its halving. If you want to buy more bitcoin, don't find best and cheapest price from now till halving, do Dollar Cost Averaging will help you don't miss the chances and will even get nearly similar price like best price.

You can buy it at different prices, higher and lower and even miss the bottom but generally in average entry price, it is good enough.
338  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: gambling for fun vs gambling for the financial benefit. on: January 27, 2024, 01:44:46 PM
At start gambling is for fun so in this way people loss all their happiness and money due to which they consider gambling as a financial benefit but that time he has no more money to do what he wants.
From beginning through a long process, people can change and from betting for fun, they can change to bet for rich. Very few people can control their action especially in activities that can help them to gain money, get rich. They will more probably think of getting rich and ignore all risk factors.

Quote
Gambling is a bad addiction which is initiated with a smile but after spending whole money a man never smiles due to empty handed and no opportunity of earning.
Gambling responsible is recommended but it is hard to practice it. Because with human body and mind, we is affected by a lot of hormones which can stimulate our greediness.

Like people think they are trading smartly with leverage and believe they will get rich by Leverage Trading while people who watch as outsiders will consider this action is like gambling which is true.
339  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Spot ETF Tracker on: January 27, 2024, 01:27:17 PM
Very interesting to see that most of this companies are using Coinbase exchange as their custodian, except VanEck using Gemini exchange and only Fidelity is using self-custody.
This tells you we still have long road ahead of us until people realize importance of self-custody and holding your own keys.
Shut down, compromise or hack Coinbase and most of this ETF's are gone.
I always think that it is best to buy and store bitcoin by ourselves no matter it is big or small investment. People who spend money to invest in Bitcoin Spot ETFs should know they have double risk.

Risk from management of that Bitcoin Spot ETF.
Risk from the custodial entity, here most Bitcoin Spot ETFs choose Coinbase.

By the way, just know that there is another Bitcoin Spot ETF tracker.

Your ban appeal years ago in 2019

It shows you was banned because of plagiarism but you also got a second chance after that. It's strange if you got another ban because of your past plagiarism with a factor of less strict handle against plagiarism in last two or three years.

Second chances are new chances from Cyrus in 2023 but you can wait for global moderator answer in this your ban appeal first.
