What problem should I've to face if the moderator deletes many of my posts?
Possibly
  • Temporary ban but when you reach your fourth ban, it is a permanent ban.
  • Nuke. If you spread malicious thing, your account will be nuked, no need for any temp ban.

Second offence: 14 days
Third offence: 30 days
Fourth: Permanent ban
1282  Economy / Reputation / Re: I've been hacked (Electrum 4.3.2) on: January 12, 2023, 11:47:29 AM
Yes. I currently have Norton on windows. Though a little too late for using it.
Weird to see you did not use any antivirus or Internet security software around your hack. Did your computer not have any such software many years?

I did not care to use those softwares years ago but after I joined cryptocurrency, I always have it on my computers.

Those softwares can give false positive or false negative because their 2 approaches by heuristics and behavior analysis are not perfect but having a good one is a good protection but most important is our habit.
1283  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: A new godfather virus for android that steals data from cryptocurrency applicati on: January 12, 2023, 11:24:38 AM
Google and Google Play again. They are like a very favorite places for hackers to initiate their malicious tools.

Another annoying feature from Google is offer to save passwords. Turn it off if you are using Google Chrome but better to not use Google Chrome.

If you don't turn it off, maybe misclicks to save passwords to Google will happen.
1284  Other / Meta / Re: is it normal on: January 12, 2023, 11:13:40 AM
When a post is deleted, it might be because of one of following reasons
  • That whole thread (topic) was deleted by moderator. You won't get any notification on such deletion.
  • You posted in a self-moderated thread and the author deleted your post.
  • One or some forum members reported your post to moderator and one of them handled it by deleting it.
  • One of forum moderators read around and see your post deserved to be deleted and did it without any report from forum members.

This topic is not about Bitcoin discussion. Move it to either Meta or Beginners & Help board.

1285  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is here to stay on: January 12, 2023, 10:50:59 AM
You wanted to discuss about Bitcoin but you shared an article about crypto.

Bitcoin is not crypto and crypto is not Bitcoin so let's find articles that are relevant for your discussion about Bitcoin survival.

After 469 times (more or less), Bitcoin is here to stay definitely.
1286  Other / Meta / Re: Looking for forum customer support [moderator/admin] on: January 11, 2023, 02:17:43 PM
But if I would know who they were then that would help a lot.
Moderators won't reveal that information to you or anyone. It can trigger personal conflicts and attacks, unnecessary.

Is there a time frame between two reports that count towards more than one report?
Applied ban for unsolicited PMs is handled manually, not automatic so reports will be considered by (both perhaps) dates you sent those PMs (that is more important) and dates of reports.

Quote
Since I already applied the ban, all previous report turned to zero now?
All past reports should be counted for your ban already but it won't clear your ban record. Next times, your ban will be longer, 14 days, 30 days and permanently. Ban duration can depends on each moderator.
First offence: 7 days
Second offence: 14 days
Third offence: 30 days

1287  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀-Sportsbet.io-🚀 - Main sponsor of Southampton FC 👋👋 on: January 11, 2023, 02:06:43 PM
He may be pro but you are not risking one of the best players in the club even if he has very minor injury. There is so much games to play and it is much better to just drop him for one or two games than to risk aggravating the injury further at this point of the season.

And they have some youngsters to cover for him even without Mudryk, just remember how good Nelson was when Saka was out last time.
Bukayo Saka should be given more time to rest even if he does not get any injury. Since 2020 - 2021 seasons, he has played many matches. 46, 43 and 24 matches for his club in 2020 - 2021, 2021 - 2022 and 2022 - 2023 seasons respectively. These stats don't include his matches for England with 4, 10 and 10 matches in last 3 seasons.

Even he is so young, it can cause overload on Saka. Coaches of Arsenal and England should protect Saka as much as possible they can do. Many young players have their careers destroyed by high expectations, extreme overloads and serious injuries. Saka is important for Arsenal and England but he is replaceable.
1288  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Questions of the day concerning Bitcoin payment on: January 11, 2023, 01:52:18 PM
Is increasing gas fee for BTC the only way to speed up its transaction speed?
You can not increase transaction speed. Bitcoin blockchain has its block time in average about 10 minutes per block. Sometimes it can be seconds or a little bit shorter or longer than 10 minutes. You only can increase your transaction fee by fee rate (bump your fee with Replace-by-Fee) or use Child Pay for Parents in rare cases. Miners will prioritize and choose transactions which can help them to earn more in transaction fees.

Note that if you and me broadcast our transactions with a same fee rate but if your transaction has a bigger size that causes a higher transaction fee for miners, they will prioritize yours first. They pick transactions to confirm first from top of mempools.

Also how can one use a lightening network in a BTC wallet? I've heard about this but I don't know so much about it..
Let's find some topics and read them

Apart from Bitcoin is it fine to add other coins as a means of payment in your local business? Is this fine or it's better to stay with Bitcoin only.
When you accept a cryptocurrency, you must consider about its volatility, its trading volume that can impact your capital. If it has so high volatility and / or too low trading volume, you will get so many troubles when you want to sell it for cash or stable coin.

Bitcoin is the best.
1289  Other / Meta / Re: Looking for forum customer support [moderator/admin] on: January 11, 2023, 01:41:52 PM
If nobody report you, no ban at all even if you send hundred PMs.

A ban if is used, only after one or some of receivers report you to forum moderators.
You sent over 100 PMs with the same format: clear unsolicited bulk PMs. 4 people reported it, making it unwanted & unsolicited bulk PMs = spam. Most others would've been banned much longer.

Same format, bulk PMs and some of receivers reported you I guess so.

I'm reading a lot of posts in support of julerz12, and everyone is entitled to believe what they want of course, but it seems even YoMix thinks he scammed them.  I happen to agree with that.
Trusting him because of his past time in the forum but with the accident, nobody can verify it.

Only time can tell and if he repay the lost fund to two projects, he can reclaim his reputation. If he runs away, we will know it soon. Time will tell and currently it is too early to say it is an accident or an intentional scam. I believe we will know the truth soon as if he scammed them, he will not return any cent to two projects and he will not care about negative feedback, trust, flags and pressure from forum members at all.

We can not verify anything because if his computer was actually compromised, perhaps the hacker is using his account and can sign any message from his staked address too.

In the past, kenzawak hacked (again). After two or three times of hack, the user abandoned the forum. Was his account really hacked or something else?
1291  Economy / Reputation / Re: I've been hacked (Electrum 4.3.2) on: January 10, 2023, 02:25:48 PM
The only apps that were running at the time were Adobe Photoshop, Telegram, Discord, and Google Chrome
Stop using Google Chrome and use Firefox instead. There is suspicion that Google Chrome likely is compromised these days. Stop using it, uninstall it from your device at the moment. Firefox and Tor browsers are better. If you don't use Google Chrome, you shouldn't use Brave browser too.

Also, just for everyone's info.
I am currently managing this bounty campaign wherein $4,000 USDT is (again) in my care, sitting on my Ledger wallet (Address)
I have already contacted several escrows including Hhampuz in hopes of being able to transfer these funds to them to act as a new official escrow.
It is your good move until the dust settles.

I notice that you did not change your forum account password. Why not?

And if you use a captcha bypass code, please change it to a new code too.

Changing them all now and after you make sure your device is clean, changing them all one more time.

I got your invitation to work with you in some projects and I appreciated it a lot so it is very bad for me to see this accident. Good luck and get well soon julerz12.
1292  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My MetaMask account is gone !! on: January 10, 2023, 12:28:56 PM
I say "kinda" because once I connected my Trezor, it only showed me my ETH balance, all the other Altcoins I had
in all the other Networks were missing.
No, those tokens are not missing anywhere. They are on their blockchains at a wallet address you store them.

By default, smart contract wallets use Ethereum network that is a first smart-contract blockchain. If you want to use your wallet for other blockchains, you must add them to your wallets such as Binance Smart Chain BSC, Harmony, Avalanche.

I really wonder how did you don't know these steps. You might not know how to recover your wallets, accounts but adding chains you must know. If you don't know, how did you buy those tokens in the past?

Quote
So it was up to me to remember exactly what coins I had and in what Networks.
You can use block explorers to check or you can recall what networks you use in the past with that wallet, adding those chains and check your wallet balance.
1293  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I think it's wrong on: January 10, 2023, 10:25:11 AM
I think it's wrong to compare the old bear market history with the future bear market, things could play out differently, I was into crypto in 2019 and I am very sure that there was a bear market years back before 2017, in 2020 there was pandemic, no one saw that coming.
History has its rhythm and mostly its rhythm is repeated many times.

Conditions can be different and it is naturally, nothing can be exactly the same with society, politics, economy and social conditions. However human psychology is the same and does not change with time and it is the most important factor to help history repeats itself. Pandemic is a borrowing reason (one of reasons) to dump the market. If there is no pandemic, market makers will use other reasons to fud and dump the market.

Quote
Fast forward to 2023, someone I knew is expecting some kind of a new pandemic to put pressure on the world once again, he believed that the last pandemic was intentional, what do you think?
Intentional or not, we can not say and need investigation but I'm doubtful that we will have good reports about reasons of the 2019 pandemic. I only know that the global markets including cryptocurrency market were dumped intentionally.

A most clearest example is rude oil was dumped to negative price.

Right now some people are still waiting for more downside without any DCA so far, this is a very big risk if you ask me.
It is what you read and heard. Very likely what they are doing are different than what they said or discussed.
1294  Other / Meta / Re: Users Changed Name 2023 on: January 10, 2023, 08:24:06 AM
Had to check it several times to understand what had changed between old and new username lol .
That's a weird name change in my opinion and for sure it wasn't due to privacy concern, really curious on the reason.
To avoid homoglyph attack by single letter or multi-letters.

0 (zero) and O (capitalized O)
l and I (capitalized i)
rn and m
cl and d
vv and ww

In recent weeks we have detected that some users have changed their name.

I detected 11 name changes.
Not all users in the list changed display name in 2023. Your title is not relevant.

I agree that this topic should not be made because of privacy of others. Even you delete or edit it now, there are scrapers did their tasks already. Don't make it at beginning is better.  Smiley
1295  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My MetaMask account is gone !! on: January 09, 2023, 04:10:46 PM
it asks me to create a new password. WHy would I want to create a new
password when the old one should still work, however there was no option to enter the old password so I created a new one
( same as the old one )
After you typing your seed, you must have a password to protect your wallet on the browser. The password can be a previous one or a new one but basically you should never reuse your old passwords.

Quote
Once I entered those details now it takes me to a brand NEW ACCOUNT with nothing on it !! ZERO assets !!
WTF ?!? This is not what I want ! Where is my old account !? I had 7K worth of assets there and now ? where is it ?
What's the point of a seedphrase if you can't retrieve your old account !!
With same seed, you can create multiple accounts. It is similar to using Electrum wallet with same seed but you can have many receiving addresses.

If you want to find your account that has fund inside, please try above guide.

Why do I have the same seed phrase for all of my MetaMask addresses/accounts?
Quote
Copy and paste these rules and place them within your computer or mobile device, and/or write these down and place them next to you.

Rule #1: Never share your 12-word Secret Recovery Phrase (SRP) or private keys
Rule #2: Beware of impersonators! Make sure to verify it is an official account!
Rule #3: Never DM with someone offering to help.

Your secret seed phrase allows you to restore/import all of the addresses/accounts associated with your MetaMask wallet.

You can import individual addresses/accounts to a different wallet by just exporting the private key. You can find instructions to do so hereHow to Export an account Private key

Multiple accounts are usually prohibited in crypto gambling sites for various reasons which is why I don't think that you will get back your account or funds unless someone from their customer support trusts whatever you stated.
They take action and do the ban with support from their data base so OP won't have anything to prove that OP did not break their terms.

Quote
You should have informed their customer care before creating the second account and kept some proof of that conversation which would have helped.
If it is a truth from OP, creating a second account after forgetting a first account, your suggestion is correct.

By informing customer support team about your demand to create a second account, they will check your past accounts and they can close your past account for you. After that, your new account can be accepted and you won't break their terms.

If OP can complete KYC to verify past account with support from customer support team, the need to create a new account is no longer exist.

Bitcoin SV is an Altcoin which many Bitcoiners regard as a scam.
It is one of many Bitcoin forks.
How Many Bitcoin Forks Are There? You will be surprised!!!

Quote
Its founder, Craig Wright (referred to as Faketoshi by many because he claims he is Satoshi but cannot provide evidence for this -and yet he wishes to patent Bitcoin for himself) has also been accused of multiple wrongdoings. He has gone to court over this issue and is now not taken seriously by the crypto community. I would avoid Bitcoin SV and buy the real Bitcoin instead.
Its founder, Craig Wright is a liar.

1299  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: January 08, 2023, 02:40:48 PM
Lazio - Empoli match will start soon. Lazio have lost their last two games in the league. Lazio struggled to score during Immobile's injury period and lost a lot of points. Immobile has recovered from the injury. Lazio could return to their performance at the beginning of the season. I think they're going to start playing stable matches now. They are the favorites in this game in my opinion.
Immobile is a newest prince of Rome. He does not like Totti and Nesta who are more handsome than Immobile and are greater players than him. Nevertheless, Immobile silently makes his name in Serie A history. He is one of greatest scorers in history of the league. A player who can score about 270 goals in his career should not be underrated.

His injury is bad for Lazio because they rely on Immobile in the last 6 seasons, since 2016 - 2017 season.

The most interesting of today's Serie A matches promises to be the match AC Milan - AS Roma. The favorites seem to be the hosts, although the long list of injured players will certainly not make things easier for Milan.
Roma and AC Milan are biggest clubs in Serie A but in history and recent seasons, AS Roma generally don't have good results against AC Milan. This time AC Milan don't have good form recently and it can give AS Roma more hope to have points.

Quote
Napoli is certainly counting on the victory in the match against Sampdoria to keep the distance to the chasing teams. It seems unlikely to me that the leader will lose points for the second game in a row.
Napoli is given a chance to back to winning. It is only a short break for them because a next match day, they will meet Juventus. Avoid losing any point to Sampdoria is a task for Napoli. They must maintain difference against Juventus before their direct match.
