1261  Other / Meta / Re: Know who ignores who on: January 18, 2023, 03:13:33 PM
Jet Cash was the one who started this trend of publicly announcing who he is ignoring. He was basically ignoring merit hunters and spammers. We evolve, and these days the ignore list we see are most out of personal conflicts and dis-likeness. Some feel superior when they announce they are ignoring the person they do not like. I think majority of the drama in the reputation board will reduce when people will stop telling who they are ignoring.

@dkbit98 it was not about your ignore list, please don't think me wrong. I was answering in the general sense.
In general sense, you are right!

Public Ignore list is like Public Trust list of forum users. By default, it is private lists (Ignore and Trust lists) but there are some third party sites make it public (Trust list) like BPIP, Loyceclub and people looked at it to find who distrust them and it is one of reasons for drama.

I don't imply that drama won't occur if Trust lists are not publicly seen.

From Trust list and drama, no convincing reason to have public ignore lists by the forum, except some members personally want to show theirs.

In some cases, users try to use trust feedback is their tool for their personal notes (I don't want to judge it as personal attacks but it is likely) and I disagree with this use. Even a trust feedback is neutral, if it is unnecessary, it should not exist and should not be abused.  Cheesy

I usually hate the friendly matches but this one its gonna be really interesting, CR7 against Messi one more time.
It is a PR effort for Saudi Arabia football and the current club of Cristiano Ronaldo. I remembered Ronaldo got a lot of applause from Juventus fans in Champions League when he scored a volley goal for Real Madrid in Turin. He was impressed with Juventus fans and one season later, when he left Real Madrid, he chose Juventus as his next destination.

I am imagining a same story for Messi. Have a friendly match and eventually move to the nation to play there.

Quote
Its this one the last Messi CR7 we see?
If Messi joins a club in Saudi Arabia, he will face with Cristiano Ronaldo a few more times. Rumours about transfer of Messi to Saudi Arabia.

If you don't want to see posts from one member, ignore him or her.

If you used to have serious arguments with someone and could not reach to agreement after all, later and now you don't see that member commented on your posts, don't quote your posts to reply and similarly, it is possibly that member ignored you.

Just possibly and Ignore in this context means either use the Ignore button or don't use that button but simply ignore your posts.

If you know anyone ignore you, let's move on and we can be a member of the forum, use it and live with it peacefully regardless of differences.

However, I just saw @dkbit98's post about their ignore list.
Although this information is private, he insisted on publishing it. In my view, congratulations are in order, he is a guy who is open to the community.
It's personal choice and we must respect it.

It is as same as when users requested to change their username/ display name, they can do it publicly including reasons for it or they can keep it privately. It's personal choice.
1264  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How Visible is your trading plan on: January 18, 2023, 01:59:33 PM
Making profit is the goal of every trader whether they are doing it right or wrong.
Traders hunt for profit and it is true but their main priority should not be profit, it is protecting their initial capital. If they are able to protect their initial capital, they will be able to get profit sooner or later. If they are unable to protect their initial capital, even if they get big profit, they will lose it all sooner or later.

Quote
Trading plan is one thing that cannot be neglected and for better result it best when it is visible. It is the vision a trader runs with. If a trader fails to plan such trader eventually plans to fail.
Their plans and their orders should include their exit prices at draw or at minor loss for cutting loss. If they don't have such plans, they won't be able to protect their initial capital.

With traders, no capital they have nothing to do and if they lose their initial capital, they lose all. If a trader have capital at hands, they will have other opportunities to increase their capital.
1265  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The biggest dramas (noise, FUD) of 2022 in Bitcoin on: January 18, 2023, 01:22:36 PM
2022 is a year of bearish market but it is more terrible than 2018 bear market. The contraction in 2022 is bigger and caused more serious losses for more market participants, from Tier 1 exchange (FTX), big venture capitals to small investors and traders who caught falling knives.

1266  Economy / Lending / Re: [W] 1000 USDT loan, 1 month, repay $1100 on: January 18, 2023, 02:29:32 AM
Sent the loan repayment for two months $200.

The initial loan will be repaid in January. Thank you.
Loan repayment of two months' interest has been received through the internal transaction. Thanks for the early interest repaid though initially a little late. So, the new repayment amount should be 1000$ (initial amount only) and repayment should be made on or before 18th January 2023.
I made the $1000 loan repayment.

Please check it and confirm when you received it. Thank you!
1267  Other / Meta / Re: Why the forum keep deleting my old posts? on: January 17, 2023, 03:14:29 PM
I'd assume that you didn't get any PM about the removed posts. And if it's so, then it means the topic was completely removed, for whatever reasons

I think some topics were deleted is the reason if you post under the topic.
It's so reasonable to see topics deleted by moderators because last two weeks or a little longer, I saw many meaningless topics.

and it's not uncommon to see newbies removing their topics after getting their answers (I failed to understand why they do that, but I've noticed that too at some point); possibly also banned/nuked users' topics can have the same fate.
Forum members if they are not forum staffs, can not remove (delete) any topic. Newbie or Legendary members, we can not self delete our topics but if we are seriously want to delete topics, we can report it to moderators and wait for their decisions.

Without moderator engagement, normal users can only move their topics to Archival or edit opening post content to delete or ... and leave it like that.

Although Bitcointalk is created by Satoshi, I think he doesn't have any access anymore considering he's already leave this forum since long time ago.
Satoshi Nakamoto account on Bitcointalk was locked
His account is locked, so no. If he wants to claim his account, he'll have to contact me with a PGP signature.
He can access his account if he has access to his PGP key. His key is available on Github too.
For future reference, here's my public key.  It's the same one that's been there since the bitcoin.org site first went up in 2008.  Grab it now in case you need it later.

Satoshi's lesson is a good topic to learn about satoshi's motivational story and lesson.

1270  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: January 15, 2023, 02:53:46 PM
TOTTENHAM vs ARSENAL

The most likely scenario for this match will be the occurrence of several goals. It is true that Arsenal will have to put a lot of effort into the match, however, Tottenham is not expected to give up.
Arsenal got a present from Manchester United because of their derby win. It gives Arsenal very good chance to expand their difference with Manchester City to 8 points again.

The opponent for Arsenal is actually strong, Tottenham Hotspur and they all want to win it. With Arsenal, win to expand a difference with Manchester City and move another step toward the trophy. With Tottenham, win to catch Newcastle United at the fourth position. They have only three points less than Newcastle United but even they win and have a same point as Newcastle United, they will stand behind Newcastle. Spurs have worse goal difference than Newcastle United, 12 against 21.

Quote
It should be noted that the “Above 2.5 Goals” market was the winner in the last three matches between the two emblems and in three of the last four official matches played by Arsenal. In this way, due to the nature of the attacking strategy implied by both teams a very opened match is expected and some goal opportunities will surely appear easily.

Above 2.5 Goals
Two clubs have good attacking players so if the match is opened, they will score a lot of goals. 2.5 goals is possible and maybe result can be 3 - 2 for Arsenal. It should be an entertain Super Sunday for fans.  Cheesy

In fact, I think of high total goals because of their not good enough defense systems.
1271  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: January 15, 2023, 02:37:58 PM
Also do not understand those who say that Milan played badly, rather Lecce played well, motivated with a huge dedication and in principle could have scored 3 goals in the first half and probably then Lecce would have won, but Milan pulled together and could win in the second half, scoring 3 goals, but somehow miraculously in the end Lecce bounced back.
People said so because they did expected AC Milan to beat Lecce so even Milan scored three goals and pulled the match to a draw, it is not what they thought before the match. In their opinion, AC Milan gave Lecce chances to score 3 goals in the first half because they played worse than expected. What AC Milan did in the second half is to fix their mistakes so in general it is a bad match for AC Milan.

Quote
So it's more likely that Milan just didn`t expect such a dedication from Lecce and after Milan lost the thread of the game, but at half time apparently the coach found the right words and the team played as it should, first confidently winning back, and then playing to win, a little bit unlucky, so Milan would have taken away 3 points.
This draw with AC Milan can give Lecce more confidence in next matches that is so important for them to end the season with a position out of relegation area. Lecce stands at the 12th position but with 20 points, they have only four points more than Sassuolo at 18th position. If Sampdoria can improve, Lecce might fall to dangerous position and they can not play carelessly with thinking that Sampdoria won't be able to improve.

Quote
So there is no loss of control of the team, Milan can improve, there is a small misfire on the way, but 1 point is still not zero.
AC Milan will have more pressure from Juventus, Inter Milan and even three clubs behind including Lazio, Atalanta and AS Roma. Their second position now is no longer safely which can be taken over by other clubs.
1272  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: January 14, 2023, 02:34:16 PM
How quickly United turned the game, it took +- 120 seconds and now actually 2-1. The 1-1 „offside“, that was close because VAR even checked it. Now United are only 1 point behind City in the league and Arsenal can take their time to geht more points in the coming games. This games will be decided at the end of the season and today it does speak for a Manchester City championship.
This is nearly a defeat for Manchester City but Manchester United returned it too quickly. Now they have only one point less than Manchester City and can start to dream big, catching Arsenal.

This defeat of Manchester City gives Arsenal a chance to expand a difference to 8 points and 9 points to two Manchester clubs. The season is like to reserved for Arsenal and after 18 matches, they can actually think further about the trophy.

Congratulations on the victory achieved with great sacrifice. They deserve to be winners. Standing 3 is occupied by the red devil.  Grin

The derby win boosts Manchester United to a third position and very close to Manchester City. It is too optimistic to think of the trophy because Arsenal are still very far but winning a derby is cool for them.
1273  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Yearly Trend on: January 14, 2023, 12:58:31 PM
Only ups and downs are not enough.

Your graphics is misleading. You should note that you get up and down from what criteria: Yearly closed price, Yearly Max price or Yearly Min price.

Usually people use Yearly Closed price but to be honest, yearly growth of Bitcoin is presented better if you look at it in Yearly Min price chart. Min price means even at the worst day, worst price, year after year it still shows good growth.

Generally you can use Yearly candles

When I have time, I will come back and give you a chart made by myself.
1274  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Change co-signers for Bitcoin multisig wallets, can it be developed? on: January 14, 2023, 12:35:24 PM
User can prevent scam if they generate and print the private key by themselves.
I know but if Bitcoin can support such things (co-signer ownership change) and prevent such scams, it will be helpful for community. It won't be perfect too if a scam company sweep private keys immediately after they sell any product but I believe they won't do it for every product they sell. So there will be enough time for buyers of collectibles in most cases to change cosigners and secure their funds stored in collectible items.

Bitcoin is not created to serve the Collectible industry only but if it can have a new feature like that, it can open a new gate for new communities, not only the Collectible industry.

Things must be developed with time and new demands. Multisign wallet was created by such demand.

But it is my shower thought that might be dumb technically.

1276  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Change co-signers for Bitcoin multisig wallets, can it be developed? on: January 14, 2023, 10:29:18 AM
Bitcoin has been developed from single signature wallet to multisign wallet that is a great development to make it more secure.

Recently an accident My Cold Keys Just Got Swiped! All Halving Sets!!
Collectibles are one of things and industries can use Bitcoin for their products. It is one of adoptions for Bitcoin.
Currently, Bitcoin technology is not able to prevent such scam happens. I have an idea.

In smart contract projects like Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain, we can set up multisign wallets and later can change co-signers. Of course, to revoke one of current cosigners, it must be done with enough current cosigners. After that, a new cosigner can be added for that wallet.

Can Bitcoin developers code something like that?

It can be useful for collectible industry and for inheritance too
Using Locktime for inheritance planning, backups or gifts

Like initially, there are 2 cosigners for a collectible. After a buyer buy it, he can change the multisign wallet to 3 cosigners with 2 new cosigners he created by himself and a transaction only can be made if 3/3 cosigners sign it, with one is from 1/2 initial cosigners set up by Collectible company.

This way, the initial private keys in items still have their values that can help to maintain whole value of the item but the company launched those items can not scam.

Is it possible technically?

It is my raw idea that maybe a shower thought but we can deeply think about it and discuss Smiley
1277  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [INFO] Scammed/Peeled by Coldkey on: January 14, 2023, 10:20:58 AM
because this is what it looks like
i can't just take credit for being part of Coldkey and be happy about any/alleged profits i also have to be there for the customers in times like these
and my decision is this, that i will make these refunds out of my own pocket
i am just a very positive person and think/believe that this will pay off/be appreciated someday...

here i would like to thank again expressly for the very great gesture to Mitchell and Kryptowerk Kiss
You are a good man, cygan and are doing great initiative to refund victims.

It is good for your reputation and Coldkey but something is damaged can not be restored completely. This accident is not your fault but it is marked in history of BTC related collectible products and companies, not only Coldkey.

In addition, even you refund victims, the values for their items are no longer as same as before the accident. Imagine, the value of BTC stolen in each item is small but maybe previous value of the item was higher than BTC stolen by yogg (?)

Maybe Bitcoin developers must think of it, because collectible items are one of Bitcoin use cases. They should develop something to make it safer.

Anyone has idea, can join the discussion Change co-signers for Bitcoin multisig wallets, can it be developed?. I think if we can come to a solution that is possibly to develop, it would be good for Bitcoin generally and Collectible industry in particular.

That's why I think theymos should introduce badges with a couple of small perks to make it worthwhile. Reporting is a thankless task and most get bored of doing it pretty quickly so at least offer a small incentive/thanks.
There is a userscript coded by @mprep
theymos approved SMF patch from PowerGlove and I don't know difference between userscript and SMF patch but if there is a little adjustment to convert a userscript to a SMF patch, theymos will more easily to apply it.

@PowerGlove, could you help please?
1279  Other / Meta / Re: Looking for forum customer support [moderator/admin] on: January 13, 2023, 11:57:13 AM
2) How much checking is involved? I'm asking because I can see there being the potential for abuse if you want to get someone banned you could point a conversation in PMs a certain way. Would be difficult, but not impossible if the person trying to get someone else banned has a few alts.
I guess logically, a user will be banned if he is the one who goes first with DMs to other members with kind of spam, scam, incentivized contents.

If you want attack someone and use 100 accounts to DM that one, it does not make any sense and the receiver won't be banned. You won't be banned because you're answering others.

Who goes first is most important if the procedure is solid.
1280  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as a trend over other cryptocurrency. on: January 13, 2023, 11:23:38 AM
or maybe just accept the fact that 99% of us can't really time markets and a better strategy would simply to just do dollar-cost averaging.

https://dcabtc.com/
Dollar Cost Averaging is helpful to average our entry price and reduce or perfectly get rid of psychological effects on our decisions. Mostly when we react emotionally, we make bad decisions.

Additionally, it has one big impact that I did not see anyone emphasizes it. DCA after a long time will help you to have a power of net capital that is big. Bigger capital and bigger power to gain profit when price even does not need to reclaim its all time high.

Lastly with DCA, we have to prepare regular capital source for it that force us to spend less, get more savings for DCA.
