1202  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: February 12, 2023, 02:40:13 PM
It looks like Arsenal are running out of steam in the middle of the season. That loss, now a draw with Brentford. If the nearest competitor, in the person of Manchester City, didn't make mistakes in recent games, then Arsenal could be in a precarious position. But soon these two teams will have to fight on the football field. This match will put everything in its place and we will find out who will lead further in the season.
Sometimes a team don't need to have a perfect season to win a league. They only need to have better performance and get better total points than other competitors to win. So far Arsenal already have a better season than expected and do you think the sudden poor performances from Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea are all factors to help Arsenal winning the league? Of course Arsenal must keep fighting and avoid losing more points but I feel that this season belongs to Arsenal.

It can be very strange season as we can see some non big clubs win around big leagues from Premier League, Serie A, Bundesliga and Ligue 1.
1203  Economy / Gambling / Re: Crashscores.com 💥 Realtime Crash Game Statistics on: February 12, 2023, 02:24:59 PM
It's a nice website to monitor real-time crash game results on many casinos.

At the left and right side, you have casino names and their brand logos. I noticed that you did not have it in the middle for tabs in the Filter Websites area. I would like to see brand logo of each casino attached on each tab.

Reasons for my suggestion
  • Not all people are familiar and remember about each casino brand logo. Therefore if you don't attach it in Filter Websites tab, it's hard for people to differentiate crash game results on the left and right columns belong to what casino.
  • Attaching brand logo for each casino tab will help better differentiation for website visitors.

Bug?
  • Click on each casino tab in Filter Website, at the Top 20 Moons, results are not filtered for that specific casino.
  • In contrast, at the left side, results are filtered only for that chosen casino.
Is it a bug for Top 20 Moons?
1204  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Somebody should tell me more about Bitcoin trading. on: February 12, 2023, 02:18:47 PM
How do I trade Bitcoin? What can I do before trading Bitcoin?
Before trading, let's start with investing first.

Quote
How much do I need to invest on Bitcoin?
Invest what you afford to lose. You don't have to force yourself to borrow money for investment. Invest with spare money from your income or savings, with this approach you have no pressure of loan repayment calls or needs to sell your bitcoin for emergency so that you are likely to hold your bitcoin longer.

Do dollar cost averaging too.

Please am willing to learn about Bitcoin.
1205  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitnity.com - a community-driven gambling platform on: February 12, 2023, 11:57:48 AM
- The value of PTKN token has been set to $1 to display more realistic data.
Is it? Does each PTKN worth $1 or do you just have to set this for any other reason? I'm a bit confused about it when you said the PTKN value is set.
I am confused too.

Could Bitnity team share a link to PTKN token on Coinmarketcap or Coingecko and its smart contract address, please?

If $PTKN token is like a liquidity provider token and is backed by stable coin like USDT or BUSD, it is reasonable to set its value to $1. However I am still not sure what $PTKN token is.

The $BTNTY (Bitnity token) is on Coinmarketcap and its price is about $0.006 with low trading volume but it's not too bad actually with about $10k to $20k daily trading volume.
  • Coinmarketcap: Listed
  • Coingecko: The token has yet fully listed on Coingecko but with searching, they have a link to GeckoTerminal. The team should list it on Coingecko officially too.
  • It's great to see the token will be dual chain: ERC20 first and BEP20 later in August 2023.

At Bitnity landing page, I found only Terms of Service but it looks too short and simple. Are your team surely write necessary terms for it?

I suggest the team to create another page, FAQs as a short version of Terms of Service and with most common questions and answers for convenience of guests and users.

If your casino wants to run signature campaign, I am available but of course, you can explore more campaign managers from [Overview] Bitcointalk Services from Bitcointalk Members.

Please DM me if you want to get details of my offer.
1206  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why are there sometimes big difference between spot trading and futures? on: February 12, 2023, 11:42:28 AM
Why was there a 15% difference in prices on the same exchange between spot and futures?
Spot and future tradings are different areas and with different trading liquidity, trading volume as well distributions of Buy / Sell positions, Long / Short positions. Therefore, there are different slippages and cascade effects when the market moves harsh.

Is it legal to buy tons of coins on Binance, withdraw, deposit on Coinbase and immediately sell the coins, then buy USDT and withdraw on Binance again?
It is called as Arbitrage and you can do it if you can complete withdrawal from one exchange to another exchange quick enough to take advantage of the differences. It is related to block time of a blockchain on which you move your cryptocurrency as well as speed of withdrawal processing and required confirmations for deposit before you can trade.
1207  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀-Sportsbet.io-🚀 - Main sponsor of Southampton FC 👋👋 on: February 11, 2023, 03:50:10 PM
I think it is very important to keep on developing better and better mobile apps for this because we all know that nearly half of the people like gambling on their phones, and that means a good chunk of money that sportsbet.io will get could come from mobile gamblers.
People are using mobile phones and mobile devices a lot nowadays. Some even don't have computers or laptops to use, they only have smart phones.
Mobile vs Desktop Usage Statistics for 2023.

Quote
I am not saying that it's the only place, I gamble from my PC and plenty of people like me, we like to do it in a serious manner while watching it on a big screen, but there are also tons of people who just lay down, open up their favourite tv series, and gamble on their phone, which is a great way to relax, tried it multiple times, all very well but just wasn't for me. This new mobile app development should definitely increase their userbase.
I don't like to gamble or trade on my mobile devices because of security and probability to make mistakes but it's me and a few others have same style as mine. For the majority, I know they like mobile devices and Sportsbet.io have to follow that trend. They have a company and service to serves customers especially the majority.

Mobile application will bring Sportsbet to more mobile users and they will more actively bet on mobiles that can help to increase total bets on the casino.
1208  Other / Meta / Re: Good Initiative by Royse777! on: February 11, 2023, 03:41:51 PM
Although some posts may look like they are the work of AI at first glance, how will you prove that they are really the product of an AI Chat? I have tried 5-6 detectors and I am not satisfied with the results, because even very small changes in the entered text can give completely opposite results.

Here is the part of your post that one detector says is even 93% fake.
The initiative of Royse777 is a higher level of plagiarism catching by finding likely AI-generated content and then checking more for text spinning, plagiarism. I think it is what Royse777 wanted with this mini campaign.

I believe if posters are lazy enough to use AI-generated contents, they don't have enough time to mind about text spinning to disguise that those contents are not from AI machines.
1209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: reasons why someone wants to pay in tether and not bitcoin? on: February 11, 2023, 03:28:38 PM
Those $5 or a bit less is not the network transaction fees. It's the withdrawal fee you pay to Binance, in this example, for the luxury of them sending the coins to the address you want. Half of it (or even less) is what Binance pays in transaction fees. The rest is their profit.

For example, take the Tron variant. With the most recent Tron governance update, you now pay approximately $1.20 to $1.40 (equivalent in TRX) in network fees if you don't have enough Energy in your account. The beautiful people from Binance charge you $2.60 for the same action.
Binance and other centralized exchanges always do batch payments for their user withdrawals but they always charge same separated withdrawal fee on every user. By that I mean centralized exchanges earn a lot from processing withdrawals for their customers.

I see it unfair because I consider they already charge fees on tradings (taker, maker fees) and it does not makes sense to charge withdrawal fees because they need to secure their wallets (hot and cold), security, staffs, tools for those things. If they have a business, build an exchange, people join to use their service and pay fees for the service. Double charging many types of fee is unfair for customers.
1210  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the current situation of crypto currency on: February 11, 2023, 03:10:22 PM
Cryptocurrency regulations vary from country to country and are constantly evolving. In some countries, cryptocurrencies are completely banned, while in others, they are considered legal and regulated. Here are a few examples of cryptocurrency regulations around the world:
The regulation and adoption are different country to country because of their economics, politics, regulatory and social status. Each country has different conditions and priorities to consider for adoption as well as regulations.

I expect to see more adoption or legal tender from small countries but to help blockchain industry and cryptocurrency ecosystem becomes bigger and better, we must wait for better regulations from big nations.

I did not know that site, thank you.

One report from PwC, PwC Global Crypto Regulation Report 2023 which I think is helpful to support your posts with more details about regulations in some countries.
1211  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why people don't adopt Bitcoin - they don't understand Expected Value on: February 11, 2023, 02:56:03 PM
This is one of the reasons why Bitcoin adoption is so low.
Even it is low now, the adoption rate for Bitcoin is better than Internet adoption rate. If Internet can become big like nowadays, I expect to see bigger adoption for Bitcoin in next 10 years.

Everyone is aware of volatility, of big rallies and big crashes.
It is partially contributed by government-backed media attacks on Bitcoin. They don't want their citizens to be exposed with Bitcoin too much, they don't want their citizens use Bitcoin too much so they run shady, faked-news attacking campaigns against Bitcoin.

Avoiding big risks is the default course of action for most people, even if big risks have positive expected value.
They (governments and central banks) avoid to mention about risk of their fiat currencies.
1212  Other / Meta / Re: Good Initiative by Royse777! on: February 11, 2023, 02:35:20 PM
It is a good initiative from Royse777 but points are
  • Chance to catch such bad posters in good campaigns is very low. Initially, they must have good post history, posting habit to be accepted by the manager so that they less likely are bad posters and if they are good ones, they won't change their posting habit after were chosen by the manager.
  • It's a mutual correlation between good campaign (with good payrate I mean), good manager, good eligible posters and their posts during participating time in the campaign.

Beyond good campaigns, I believe the forum will see more spams from ChatGPT- and others AI-generated contents and in upcoming months, there will be more permanent bans on AI-supported plagiarisms.
1213  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Curious Address - Concerning on: February 10, 2023, 02:53:52 PM
I got to the magic number for me to withdraw in which they finally mentioned they take 10% of the total account balance for me to withdraw. This reduction essential meant I'm now below the magic number, now they have said 10% of the rest of the profits around about another $400, and then ill be able to withdraw.
On exchanges, taker and maker fees are in percent but withdrawal fee usually is a fixed number like you can see there.
If they say they always get 10% of your withdrawal value, it sounds weird and more like scam. In addition, they intentionally asked you to deposit more to be eligible for withdrawal, it's a scam confirmation. It is a similar scam like that one: Beware of "Pay original fine" - a scam method

When i send the bitcoin it instantly transfers to bc1q8yja3gw33ngd8aunmfr4hj820adc9nlsv0syvz this wallet, can anyone shed light on this?
It is not usually wrong. Exchanges nowadays don't store their funds and customer funds in hot wallets. So when customers make deposits, exchanges will have automatic tools to move it to their cold wallets.

However, in your case, it is like scammers move it to another addresses.

The address is reported for fraudulent attempts. Scam Alert: This address has been reported as fraudulent (4 times)
1214  Other / Meta / Re: More information about forum on: February 10, 2023, 11:38:46 AM
As a new member I want to make certain research and observation.

Quote
As a forum member can I use another member post but change some words and use as mine
You should not as it is text spinning that is one type of plagiarism. When your text spinning is reported, your account will be banned permanently. Because I am sure when you do text spinning, you intend to steal content of others and won't leave a source link.

Quote
Can I use picture on other site and post it here
Yes, you can do it and everyone can do it but if possible, please attaching a source link of image you use. Even there is no plagiarism ban on image but if you can attach a source link, it is better.

Quote
Can I copy and paste from another site.
You can but please only do it as a reference, a quote with a source link.

Don't abuse it to copy & paste just to get post count.

Generally please read Bitcointalk posting etiquette to understand more about forum rules and learn to improve your posting skills.

These are the most common rule violations that newbies make. There are other rules than these.

  • Plagiarism: If you copy some text from somewhere, then you should have a good reason for it, and you must link to the source. Doing otherwise is plagiarism. Changing a few words around doesn't matter. If we find that you plagiarized, then you absolutely will be permanently banned, even if we find it years after you did it.

In general, I'm all for being lenient. There are users who have been temp banned many times but still haven't been permabanned because their contributions outweigh their misbehavior. I actively disbelieve in the idea of a "rule of law" where hard rules exist and are strictly applied across the board as if we're all robots. Every case should be considered individually in the context of the forum's mission.

Plagiarism is what gets people permabanned, not just copying. Plagiarism is copying with the intent of passing the work off as your own. In essentially all cases, plagiarism deserves a permaban because it usually proves definitively that the person is here for the wrong reasons: to fill up space in order to get paid, not to actually discuss or contribute. If someone was able to convince us that they were plagiarizing just to eg. impress people rather than to fill up space, then a lesser ban of a few months might instead be warranted. But this has never happened AFAICR. (Arguments based on plausible deniability aren't going to work; we don't need to prove that you had the motive we see in your actions.)

If you treat posting as a job, a chore, then you must live in fear, since the forum is not made for you. In this case, you need to blend in as someone who actually cares, but plagiarism will immediately out you, and producing a mountain of useless posts will also eventually be noticed, if more slowly. If you do actually care, then this will be obvious in your posts (and probably your merit score), and you will have nothing to fear from moderators; even allegations of plagiarism will be doubted when seen in the context of your other posts.

Quote
in extreme cases could be copyright theft?

Plagiarism is almost always a copyright violation which could conceivably get the poster in a lot of trouble, but it's not a bigger legal issue for the forum than anything else. (Using the forum to violate copyright is never allowed, though.)

I want some clarification about this evil fee. I have 3 online friends that I invited to join here in the forum. Surprising all of them asked to pay for the fees to removed the banned on their newly created account. They are first time to register account here, is the evil fee automatically charge to new register user here? I didn’t try to register an account for myself but is there a way for newbie to lift this ban without paying if they are a legit new user in the forum?
Depends on IP addresses they used to create their accounts. If they use Internet from public Wifi at coffee store, restaurants, public locations or Tor with many people, chance to get evil IP is clear.

Your friends can request for Remove Proxyban (evil fees) - email to get whitelisted for free. Perhaps they are no longer need it now because you said they paid evil fee already.
1216  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: February 09, 2023, 03:29:49 PM
Official: Nicolo Zaniolo sold to Galatasaray.

It is a bad decision from Zaniolo and like a step-down for his career. If he wanted to move to bigger club or bigger league, why he did not wait a few more months to leave a as a free agent. Moving to Galatasaray is a very weird choice from this dude.

I don't judge about his loyalty for Roma but he spent about one season with injuries and still got support from Roma. Important to say I believe with Roma and Mourinho, Zaniolo can develop his career better than with Galatasaray. I don't know why he rejected to move to Bournemouth and Premier League but finally decided to choose Galatasaray.

Anyway he left and it's time to wish him the best as well as recall his goal for Roma in UEFA Conference League final match in the last season.

1217  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does Bitcoin have life span? on: February 09, 2023, 03:18:36 PM
is that Bitcoin does it have life span to be varnish or not be recognize again when time comes? Or Bitcoin is going to be a continuous process of digital currency.
Bitcoin has its lifespan until its network stops working if no miner runs their mining equipments (ASICs or other modern equipments in future) to mine Bitcoin. If the network will keep running, Bitcoin will not die and its lifespan will continue until death day.

Optimistically, after 14 years I see chance to see Bitcoin dies is extremely low.

You can discuss about Bitcoin lifespan with UTXOs. Each UTXO has its own lifespan until it is spent all by the owner. Let's look HODL waves with UTXOs.

Satoshi's vision
Right.  Otherwise we couldn't have a finite limit of 21 million coins, because there would always need to be some minimum reward for generating.  In a few decades when the reward gets too small, the transaction fee will become the main compensation for nodes.  I'm sure that in 20 years there will either be very large transaction volume or no volume.
1218  Other / Meta / Re: Does Bitcointalk talk about other investment platform aside Bitcoin on: February 09, 2023, 03:08:41 PM
Can someone start an investment outside crypto(Bitcoin) and come to this forum for advices, advertisement and contributions?
Years ago, people joined cryptocurrency market by Bitcoin as their first reason. Because years ago, Bitcoin is all and even there are altcoins generated after that, they are not abundant like now so the term crypto market in the past is more narrow than nowadays.

Nowadays, I think people join cryptocurrency market by being exposed either about Bitcoin or altcoins. I somewhat believe that they are more exposed with altcoins and by social media like Facebook, Twitter, Youtube than by traditional forums.

However, after experiencing the market, they will come to a phase of needing to find classic evidence, things from the past or technical advice, they will likely join Bitcointalk. Many posts of Satoshi Nakamoto still have high value today. Satoshi is like a time-traveler.
1219  Economy / Reputation / Re: Isn't that cheating? on: February 09, 2023, 02:37:18 PM
@Tranthidung are you in contact with the person who hired you to post the bounty, did you get any feedback yet?
We are in contact. As far as I know, distributions are on the way. Bounty hunters must keep cooperated with the management team with confirmation via email to complete the distribution.

For others,

Generally, I stated that I did not manage bounties and I've never intended to manage bounties (or had it far in the past and never minded about it later). Reasons are like yahoo brought his points. Bounties in my opinion are bad and bring very little impact for companies. On manager side, it is headache to check works of bounty hunters and handle their complaints.

Many of them joined bounties but even did not spend 1 or 2 minutes to read in OP which has application forms and links. They make a post in Bitcointalk and join bounty groups to ask where is application forms. I am sure those bounty hunters will bring almost zero value to companies. I even asked management team to exclude Newbies because I am sure they are likely zero contributions for projects.

Sometimes, people DMed me to ask whether they should join bounties generally. I said no and they should do other things but it is life and society needs different people to do different jobs.

Important from my experience, when projects distributed tokens to bounty hunters early and especially when their public sales are yet ended, shit happens. Bounty hunters will dump their tokens on DEX and impact company public sale a lot as well as lot of FUD. Projects got that issue even have to create a new token and make token swap to avoid impacts on their sale. It does not end here, they will have to spend time, resources to update their project info on big site like Coinmarketcap and Coingecko. You know, shit happens again, support on Coinmarketcap is not too good and takes a lot of waiting time. Meanwhile, another chance for FUD.

I don't manage bounty but when I can, I advice the guy I collaborated with to tell companies that they must pay attention on distribution time in correlation with their public sale. I also told them to have clear distribution date like if your public sale ends at 9 Feb 2023, bounty distribution time should be only after that day.

About my collaboration for publication, with NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement), I won't reveal details except shit happens from their management team. With disclaimer, I am not responsible for distribution but I always keep up contact with management team about distribution for bounty hunters and advice them to adjust rules for future, for more transparent, better management to avoid fud as well as to bring clearer view for bounty hunters to make decisions (joining or not).

About Escrow idea, I don't take risk to do this. Why I should take that risk if I am not the manager and not responsible for distribution? Shit happened with julerz12 and I won't do the same. Additionally, I recommended the management team to take the bounty budget first, Escrow it for distributions. They can not trust companies for distribution because I am so sure companies mostly are not happy with result from bounties.

Obviously, when shit happens with management team, I will definitely stop working with them.
1220  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲 StarBets.io 🎲 || A Crypto-based iGaming Platform 🎲 on: February 08, 2023, 11:10:34 AM
Starbets, is the TGE date already known? Should we wait for the release of the Star token this year?
Deploying their TGE for their own token $STAR is a great milestone for StarBets.io because when they complete it, their casino will have multiple choices to attract users and boost them to gamble more like free bets if users meet a min bet value from $STAR token as well as giveaways for token holders.

Not all casinos have their native tokens but I am sure, with the adoption of blockchain, in future, crypto-accepted casinos will mostly have their own tokens. Like years ago, no exchange have their own tokens but now, you can count a lot of exchanges have such tokens for their platforms. Additionally, they run so many events, promotions with those tokens too.

Quote
Give us at least some information on what to expect. At the moment, your roadmap looks pretty empty.
You made a great point and good request. StarBets.io team should update their roadmap but I think big news like TGE will appear in 2024 bull run, not in this year.  Grin
