OK, I have a modified-DIY-box below 70 C and running on 500 Mhz: How do I get above 500 Mhz ? Contact KNC, maybe they'll tell you, or add an option in the next firmware. Could you post pictures of your set-up ? Edit : Would these 20mm spacers work ? How many do you need per box ? Yes: 5 pieces. (tomorrow some pictures...)

Avenger, good to see you are still trolling this thread. I know you guaranteed many times that nobody would get a neptune before the end of Q2, but here we are again and KNC is shipping.
Get a life, move on from this thread.
Avenger's posts are thoughtful, informative, well-constructed and occasionally quite humorous. His graphics are second-to-none. I have used this forum extensively for KNC hardware issues, over-clocking advice and purchasing/refunding advice, I even learned about the 4 vs 8 VRM screwing I got for being one of the first to purchase from KNCminer and I have found Avenger's posts to be very useful. We need to hear all sides of the discussion; even yours RickJames. Aww, how sweet.... and how "thoughtful, informative, well-constructed" were his comments when he told everyone that KNC filed for bankruptcy?
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=552854.msg6016471#msg6016471 Hey, I like your posts too Phoenix but you don't put quite as much into them as Avenger.

The ones who are happy only because they received something that they can mine with. It wont make back the initial investment, but might get back 5 BTC lifetime. So long story short is they can lose less.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=552854.msg6016471#msg6016471HaHa! Simpleton!! i used to despise you for being retarded and spreading retardation among the rest of us. i now feel somewhat sorry for you, you are clearly sick in the head, and no-one who is supposed to love you has done anything about it, except perhaps leave you to your own delusions... once again you have shown yourself to be even more retarded than a multi-storey hospital for the mentally impaired. as for your lack of appreciation wrt the 'stolen' coins, i KNOW you were involved along with your 'brother' and that goes a long way to explain your lack of consideration to the effort employed in retrieving them, in fact your brother merely 'returned' them to you to prevent further facts being uncovered. hence your attitude towards those who solved 99.9% of the mystery (deception) perpetually-piti-fool! you think we forget because you hang around spouting bollocks & ignoring a multitude of facts?? searing thinks we do...

They managed to ship one unit by June 22nd, 8 days from the end of Q2, so I wasn't far wrong. They'll still be shipping well into Q3 by the looks of it, so they will not meet their Q2 obligations. If they kept to their word and shipped one month apart between batch 1 & batch 2, they'd miss the Q2 deadline by a month. People's expectations of knc are so low they don't even complain: 1. No newsletter updates for 11 days, during the peak of shipping, to let customers know what's going on. Pathetic. 2. KNC lied about shipping one month between batch 1 & batch 2. Batch 1 customers should be furious, as they are getting nothing extra for their early investment. As Edgar calls it, the customer humiliation batch just keeps getting more humilating. Those guys who bought the $13k rigs must feel pretty cheated right now, seeing as people who paid $3000 less will have their rigs a few days later 3. Very poor product design. Penny pinching at every opportunity, as Elenelen's post above one again reinforces. Chips to measure temperature as far away as possible from the board, so people can see "hey my boards are only 65C, that's not so bad!". I'm still waiting on someone with a thermal imaging camera to get right in there on one of these hot boxes and give us the real numbers. 4. 90 day warranty for Neptunes! That's the biggest joke of all. The same warranty for secondhand/used goods. With all the cheap components knc are using and the excessive heat these components are running at, it'll be a miracle if they are still running in 3-4 months time. And KNC are, as usual, making the RMA process as DIFFICULT AS POSSIBLE. They are telling people to return DOA/faulty stuff, but not sending them UPS labels to cover the return shipping until customers insist on it. And you can be sure when knc are building their own boards for their datorhall No 2 & 3 & 4, they will be using top quality components and doing rigourous testing. For their competition (i.e. customers), not so much. 5. People who don't have their rigs by 30th June - demand the free hashing package knc promised in February. It has nothing to do with the 241 or HWYW - it was a commitment from KNC to compensate customers if there were "any delays". Will this happen? Or will people just roll over and wait for their knc masters to ship them a rig whenever it suits knc? DickJames, you have only posted in this thread one time in the last 3 months and use that to take a dig at me? That's a bit sad. One unit? I'm seeing pictures of tons of them, they are all over the place now. You're such a hack, you'll just keep finding new things to bitch about. I haven't posted here because I was waiting to see if KNC shipped on time. Seeing as they are shipping units now, on time, I find it hilarious that you are still here. Sad is that you post in this thread so much, not that I'm busy and just checked in when I saw they were shipping.

They are decent quality, running them 20% out of spec as long as temps are kept within control shouldn't have any meaningful impact since the mining gear will be obsolete before their reduced lifespan starts becoming a factor. However since it's KNC building these I fully expect them to forget the TIM for the VRMs on some units and them to accidentally use cheese for heat sinks on others, in other words if shit starts failing blame KNC and their shit QC and not the ericsson VRMs since they should be fine under controlled conditions

And it's mining power is more than electricity

Can I run 53Amp through them, if temps keep below 75C? {with a life-expectance of 10 months} I'm currently running one box on 500 Mhz with 48Amp and below 70C. I like to try 550 Mhz and think that will pull about 52Amp. {with 550 Mhz on 5 boxes a 4 Ths miner could be possible}.
