In the same time Kucoin exchange received a new license to operate in India, their founders have been accused in United States for money laundering I will never fully understand how this worldwide crypto regulations actually work, but I am sure lot of money is involved.

I don't care about the price of the wallet, it's about being safe and secure.
Really? So you are asking someone else to make a decision for you Passport code is based on Coldcard code so there are similarities between them, but Passport improved in every way, and it remained open source, unlike Coldcard. Funny thing about coldcard devices is that NVK dont offer any warranty on them, so you are screwed if something happens with your device.

For Sparrow it appears you have to manually connect to a server to see your funds and transactions. Never used a wallet that made you do that before. I wouldn't mind that if it simply prompted you to connect a server during the setup process but it doesn't tell you anything. Would have saved me a lot of time.
This is actually a good thing, not bad, especially for privacy and if you don't trust third parties. You have the option to choose your own node in Sparrow or node from someone else (like other wallets are doing). Sparrow is much better wallet, but you need to spend few minutes to learn how it works, and it's nothing complicated.

Hello, between Jade and Cold Card, do you think that Jade is more for beginners than the Cold Card? To make a definitive statement, do you think one of those two wallets is better than the other and, if so, why?
It depends what you want, but I would never buy coldcard. Jade is smaller and cheaper open source device, it is airgapped, but it doesn have physical secure element and it is a bit harder to enter characters with few buttons. Another advantage for Jade is support for Liquid Network assets L-BTC, L-USDT, etc. that can be very handy when bitcoin fees are high. Coldcard is bigger, more expensive, it is NOT open source, and I believe that owner NVK is mentally unstable and he can't stand any constructive criticism. There is a whole graveyard of discontinued coldcard devices, so I don't expect mk3 and mk4 to be supported in near future. You can compare wallets and find pros and cons in THIS website.

So a bit of a rant here, but has the physical quality of all HW wallets crap. Or is it just me?
General quality of most electronics are going down for some time, and hardware wallets are no exceptions. Components are mostly made in China and they are probably trying to cut the corners Two trezors with bad USB ports
From all hardware wallets I heard minimal complains for Trezor devices, only issue I have with them is short USB cable. And wait for it....the only one that I kind of killed myself was an old Keystone that when we moved offices I didn't remember where I put it and it (1) sat in freezing temperatures for a couple of weeks and then (2) wound up bouncing off a cement floor when it fell out of the box it was in since I didn't remember putting in in there. So now that one does not turn on either. But that I will put on me. I thought it was in the lockbox but I must have put it in box with other collectables when moving for some reason.
Why didn't you talk with Keystone support? They should send you refund or new Keystone3 device. i do not trust this stuff too. you can use tangem , ballet or billfodl
All those are bad and closed source. Satochip beats Tangem every time, it's open source, cheap and durable. so you can use billfodl as private key storage . and you can reuse it
Billfodl is worthless crap and waste of money. Rated as junk by Jameson Lopp, and it didn't survive his tests. https://jlopp.github.io/metal-bitcoin-storage-reviews/reviews/billfodl/

btw I am recovering my wallet from Trezor into a new Coldcard. I can see my funds in Trezor Suite and Bluewallet.
I don't think this is related with Sparrow wallet. There is a good chance this is happening because of a different derivation used for Trezor and Coldcard, maybe you changed it or it was like that by default. I would not be surprised if coldcard is using something differently that is not industry standard, they have a habit of doing that

I just spotted an open-source mobile/web lightning wallet [Mutiny] with full support for Taproot addresses [e.g. it generates Taproot addresses (by default) for opening lightning channels]. I heard about Mutiny wallet and I added it to the list of supported wallets. They are doing interesting things with Synthetic USD and privacy with coinjoins. I just noticed there are two Nunchuck entries on the list [is it intentional?].
This was a mistake, but I corrected it now. Thanks for noticing and reporting.

can't update the ledger, and the old electrum doesn't work anymore while the new one doesn't support this old version What are my options?
Have you tried using any alternative software wallets like Sparrow, Specter wallet or even Blockstream Green and connecting them with your ledger? I am not sure if they are supporting old ledger devices, but they have much better support for different hardware wallets and signing devices. PS There was a topic in forum of someone managing to use old electrum version to connect ledger, but I can't find it now...

memorized my seed phrase
Terrible idea, unless you are repeating your seed words as a mantra every day, and even than I wouldn't count on my brain as a long term ''cold storage''. Why is this? If my computer gets stolen all anyone needs to do is crack my password and they get my coins. I want to remove any trace that Electrum was ever on my computer. Can somebody tell me how to do this please?
You should format your hard drive and reinstall fresh operating system if you want to be sure to have no traces of electrum wallet. Another option is to use linux os on usb stick, something like TailsOS won't leave any traces on your computer.

If you think PeachBitcoin is cool than wait until you watch THIS interview with Peach founder Steph, your mind will be blown away. She is a very cool and smart bitcoiner from Switzerland and with Peach they are keeping everything they earn in Bitcoin, that means no bank account for them. Make sure to update latest version 0.4.5 (246) Peach app. They are not active in the ASIA region also?
They recently added support for a bunch of new fiat currencies so maybe you can find yours there also.

He also said the same examplens said : this could be an attack from cloudflare, to force me into a paid plan.
I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case There aren't many companies competing with cloudflare.like aws and azure and a few more, but Cloudflare is the most used.
eXch admin once said there is a good alternative for cloudflare he is using, but I am sure it's not free or cheap. $200 per year for cloudflare is not so expensive but nobody can guarantee you won't have ddos attacks again. This falls in the same category as anti-virus companies releasing computer viruses.
I was just thinking the same thing, I think John McAfee explained very well that antiviruses are mostly doing nothing but spy people, and they are useless today

Let me know if you find software where you can "encrypt" the private key, before you go online and when you go online... it automatically decrypt the key, once you paste the info. (In the software)
I wouldn't do that, especially not with private keys that contain real bitcoin, but you can use any open source offline encryption software. There was a project a while ago called Mercury wallet that worked a layer 2 protocol used for transferring UTXOs without on-chain transactions using statechains. This is now improved and rebranded to MercuryLayer, but I think it's not yet released in public.

We are open for those who are interested to be listed.
Listed what and how exactly? And is that a paid or a free listing? This currently looks like another cryptocurrency news website, and I don't link mixing that with database of different crypto services, so you should consider improving design.

Even though the Stake campaign manager has said they are against the use of AI for writing posts, clearly that was a lie, as this user has now had 22 posts deleted as spam. Here's some of my more recent reports against them
That campaign have one of the biggest collection of spammers in this forum, so I am not really surprised at all to see that manager is not doing their job correctly And besides that, if any member is detected of repeated using of AI generated posts he should be banned from forum, not just from that campaign. Using AI generated content should be considered very similar to plagiarism.

This is looking more and more like 1984 scenario. I said it before but they are going to make more and more crazy rules and regulations in the next few years, and you all need to realize that we are in the middle of the war, and they are trying to make us fight each other. If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face—for ever. - George Orwell

I just noticed this shitposer on our local board, sharing some news (probably merit fishing via Google/AI translation). Since I never saw him before, I checked him out a bit and it turns out this guy has been busy today, posting bunch of posts that look like they were made with the help of AI and below is just one example.
I guess I was prematurely happy that we received new member in our local board His post history is showing that he was posting several times in Croatian board before, and it was mostly sharing cryptocurrency news.

Nadam se da samo pomogao u odabiru. Svakako još malo istrazi i odaberi sto ti najvise odgovara. Ja osobno koristim Electrum i zadovoljan sam istim. Lp.
Vidiš da je on tražio Bitcoin + Altcoin tj- multicoin novčanik? Svi koje si ti napisao su bitcoin-only novčanici.

JoyID now supports Bitcoin (and taproot). It's a passwordless wallet who its developers are also building a Layer 2 solution for bitcoin.
This looks like some web3 junk wallet, and I can't even start it in my Firefox browser because of some not supported environment error message. I can't confirm how this wallet works so I am not going to add it in list of taproot supported wallets for now, but this could change in future.
