501  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: 💳 Satsrefill.com - Anonymous Crypto Visa Debit Cards, Instantly issued. [BETA] on: February 06, 2024, 05:11:33 PM
Our cards should work where Visa is accepted, we have some restrictions where our cards cannot be used you can find them here https://satsrefill.com/restrictions also our cards can be declined when a merchants process payment only via 3DSecure.
I think that Paypal have 3ds support, so there is no chance your cards would work there.

Are you telling me that there is no connection between satsrefill and website called paywithanon.com?
They look very similar to me and footer is almost identical, maybe made by same guy.
Anyone who doesn't know the full story can check out this scam accusation from jonaedbd, guy who made website for them.

502  Other / Meta / Re: My account was changed email on: February 06, 2024, 04:39:50 PM
This is something we recently started doing. If email sent to your email address bounces with an error message like, "This email address doesn't exist", then your email may eventually be changed to u...@bounces.invalid. (It's not possible for users to change their email address to something ending in .invalid, so this can only be an administrative change.) Because your old email didn't exist, somebody could've registered your non-existent email address and used that to steal your account.
That means that majority of old inactive accounts could soon have changes email addresses in the same way.
It's a good security measure but it would be better if this was announced before it started happening, maybe some members would do a manual change.
Another possible issue is if email can't be received temporary, because of maintenance or outage.

I wonder if op was using gmail? because google has recently started deleting inactive accounts
Exactly!
I was thinking the same thing, and they also deleted ALL old cache links, so you won't find anything old from bitcointalk anymore!
https://searchengineland.com/google-search-officially-retires-cache-link-437122

Anyone who wants to research old Bitcointalk pages can still do it here with Wayback Machine:

503  Other / Meta / Re: Mixers to be banned on: February 06, 2024, 04:27:09 PM
Isn't Bitcointalk decentralized forum where everyone has freedom to talk on any subject even against any government?
No it's not and it has never been decentralized forum, but bitcoin is decentralized and that is enough.

If tomorrow Gov declare Bitcoin btc as a money laundering source then we will see Bitcoin word in blacklist and also we will change domain??
That won't happen any time soon, and forum is not directly connected with bitcoin in any way, other than for historic reference.
Governments can make all kinds of things illegal (just look at history), so maybe it's time for people to change the way governments work.

Binance just announced they are delisting privacy coins included but not limited to, XMR
Great news!
I know lot of people have been waiting for this to happen for some time.

The question is, will theymos ban privacy coins too if the regulatories take action against them? Now, that would be the end of the forum because that would mean banning legit crypto projects, it ain't the same as banning mixers.
Monero is not banned, it's just exchanges delisting it and proving that transactions can't be cracked and tracked.

Exchanges can't do their AML checks on privacy coins, Bitcointalk doesn't have to do AML checks.
I hear that If you have $15 you can easily pass ''kyc'' in most places  Cheesy
504  Other / Meta / Re: Use of AI on Bitcoin talk on: February 06, 2024, 04:14:09 PM
ChatGPT comes up with its own ideas, which are often incorrect when it comes to complicated subjects like the technical details of bitcoin.
ChatGPT doesn't come up with anything on his own.
It's all just one big mix of presets set by developers and various stuff found on internet.
I had few test and ''conversation'' with it  and I concluded it is very bias and stupid, it is not neutral at all so you can never trust the answers you receive.
It's not hard to imagine that someone could hack it's servers and write anything he wants as a fake AI bot.
505  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: 💳 Satsrefill.com - Anonymous Crypto Visa Debit Cards, Instantly issued. [BETA] on: February 05, 2024, 11:52:39 PM
Watch out guys! Something is very suspicious with this service and it could be our old ''friends'' coming back with new domain name.
They are using very similar style like one card scam I reported last year, but before making any final conclusions I would love to hear more from Satsrefill team.
There is no chance this cards could work on all websites visa is accepted, like they claim.

506  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: I copied a chipmixer that uses testnet bitcoin. on: February 05, 2024, 11:20:29 PM
First of all I want to apologize to you, I made a very low level mistake, I have fixed the error in the code, you can try to re-enter through your session ID, again I apologize.
Actually I don't have 20tbtc, that introduction is from chipmixer, I only have about 0.5tbtc to test, because it's a test program, so this aspect is not done very rigorously, theoretically, it should be introduced next to the recharge address of the maximum recharge amount allowed, thank you for the test!
Apology accepted, and everything is working again, but you are lucky that this was only testnet bitcoin. Wink

If you don't have 20 tBTC than you need to make a correction on website to avoid confusion, and write maximum amount of coins that are available before mixing procedure started.

And how can I know that private keys are not stored on some cloud aka hard disk?

507  Other / Meta / Re: USE OF CHAT GPT-RULES on: February 05, 2024, 10:53:50 PM
What do you guys think about Chat GPT?
I think it's junk that is making people more lazy and stupid, and I would consider every use of chat-gpt from members in forum as plagiarism.
I would never implement anything like this in bitcointalk forum.

I'd love a Btalk Bot that has kind of like a chat GPT engine but geared direclty towards helping the users/ newbies with literally anything. Would love to see this THEYMOS! I wonder if this has been discussed? Huh
Better ask your bot if theymos will allow this, you don't need to talk with other people or him anymore Cheesy

And I suspect that one of your posts could be made with help AI generators!  Tongue

508  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: SlowMist reports 80% of X comments related to phishing software on: February 05, 2024, 10:39:23 PM
In a report by SlowMist, scammers were found to be actively purchasing X accounts to use for scamming purposes. Users are usually sold in the Telegram messenger application, where there is an active market for this category of clients, experts claim.
I am not surprised to hear this at all.  Roll Eyes
Twitter aka X or call it whatever you want has become no better since Musk took over, and it's going to be worse when he introduced some kind of payment there.
There are some people speculation that many comments are not even coming from real people, they are just combinationt of bots and fake accounts.
I know that in telegram you literally can't post anything in public chat or you will receive message from unknown scammer asking stupid questions.

509  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Buying goods or services using crypto on: February 03, 2024, 08:32:54 PM
Correction: In no country can you legally buy goods and services except with the national (local) currency. With the exception of those few countries, like El Salvador, that are trying to give bitcoin legal status.
They are not trying, Bitcoin is already a legal tender in El Salvador.  Wink
The Central African Republic also have Bitcoin as a legal tender, so you can use it as legal currency, and I saw several websites in EU, United States and Japan that openly accept Bitcoin payments.
In Turkey you can legally find small Bitcoin exchanges everywhere, you can even purchase stuff with BTC, and in Slovenia you can pay almost anything with Bitcoin and other crypto.
510  Economy / Digital goods / Re: WTB ripped movies, 30 USD each on: February 03, 2024, 08:19:30 PM
Or you can ask questions in this thread. I check forum and email infrequently but at least once a day.
I might know a guy who can provide what you are looking for, but first I will have to double check for if video quality matches with your demands.
Can you tell me if you have any specific list of movies you are interested to watch?
511  Economy / Exchanges / Re: eXch - instant exchange BTC / LN / XMR / LTC / ETH / ERC20 on: February 02, 2024, 05:41:36 PM
Has anyone tried LN swaps on exch?
No, but I was thinking of testing small amount to see how it works with my Aqua wallet.
I would send any supported coin and receive liquid network L-BTC in my wallet but over lightning invoice.

I wonder why recently some pairs BTC-XMR for example charge 5% fees on eXch when just few months ago it was 0.5% fee ?
I would love to see exchange with better rates, but maybe you could try with Bisq exchange.
There are rumors about more BTC-XMR decentralized exchanges coming soon.

The liquidity comes from users, and more people are buying than selling XMR. Maybe the fee trading in the opposite direction can be lowered to encourage adding liquidity.
This is the case even on big centralized exchanges, that is why they often don't allow people to withdraw xmr...they claim because of some maintenance, but they just don't have enough coins.
512  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [Exchange Service] - No KYC/No AML/No Registration - BTC,XMR,USDT,CASH on: February 02, 2024, 05:19:46 PM
I just have to ask do you have any connection with eXch exchange?
You are using almost identical design like they have, Terms of Service page is very similar, and all supported coins menus are the same.
Someone should investigate this deeper, but I would suggest caution to everyone with this service.

513  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: I copied a chipmixer that uses testnet bitcoin. on: February 02, 2024, 05:01:57 PM
After listening to everyone’s opinions, I learned CSS from scratch and rewrote the front end of the website, adding some functions. Thank you for testing.
I see you completely changed the design and there is no more advertisement banner on the bottom, but strange that I still still old CM logo on the right side.

And I wanted to ask do you have enough liquidity for testnet coins, let's say if someone wanted to send larger amount of coins (over 20 or 30), or it's only available for smaller amounts?

Quote
For transactions under 20 BTC we require 1 confirmation.
For higher amounts we require 6 confirmations.

This suggest that you have over 20 tBTC.

All I am getting after testing this service is this error message when I get to the step of withdrawing my coins... so effectively they are lost and impossible to withdraw Tongue

514  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to sign a message from bech32 address on iPhone on: February 02, 2024, 04:32:42 PM
I have an iPhone. Since iPhone can sign a message from bech32 address how do I do that.
I don't have iPhone to confirm it but Mycelium wallet should be able to do it, and I would also check in Blockstream Green iOS wallet supports it (not sure).
If you own any Trezor hardware wallet you should also be able to do it if you connect it with Trezor iOS app.
I am 100% sure Trezor supports this.
515  Economy / Services / Re: Exodus Add-On for Privacy Lovers on: February 02, 2024, 11:31:34 AM
That is correct but I'm just saying, Exodus itself is still a bad wallet for long-term storage for the above reasons.
For people looking for Open Source alternatives for Exodus, Coinomi, Trust and other closed source wallets I made this list of wallets:

Desktop wallets::

Mobile Wallets:

Original topic:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5482076

Note that being open source does not mean wallet is always going to be better and safer, but it's much easier to inspect the code.
This is much better than using closed source wallet with closed source add-on on top.

517  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: I need a bitcoin tumbler on: February 01, 2024, 07:13:13 PM
The wallet only has incoming transactions
Important thing here is to identify how many transactions you received and how many active addresses you have in your wallet.
If you received several transactions on different addresses than you can withdraw just one of them, and you won't have to use any additional privacy tool.

I want absolutely nobody to know how much bitcoin I have, not even the exchange.
Well if you use centralized mixers they will know how much bitcoin you have.
Safest thing you could use right now is Joinmarket with Jam web interface, that is best open source, decentralized and private solution you can use, but it can be a bit complicated to use.

sell it on an exchange to pay for my children's studies.
I would suggest using decentralized exchange if you plan on selling 1 BTC, or centralized exchange can always freeze your coins, say they are blacklisted, connected with theft, and ask for proof of coin ownership, etc.
518  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Fixedfloat is scamming me for 8000+ EUR IMPORTANT PSA! on: February 01, 2024, 06:40:54 PM
I assume that guarantee only applies when you use their referral link. But even then, it's not worth much
Probably, but I thought this should be mentioned, maybe OrangeFren can help push things into right direction, since FixedFloat previously sponsored some of their meetings and events.
I see OP was not active for few days, so let's wait to hear update when he comes back.
519  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: UnionKey Fake Hardware Wallet - Phishing Site on: February 01, 2024, 06:26:44 PM
UnionKey has returned with a new account after the old one was banned, please give it negative trust & report.
UnionKey claims that things are being fixed but still promises that the code is still closed source and some improvements to the interface.
They could be genuinely making some type of hardware wallet, it's not that expensive to do it in China, and they claim it's 85% completed.
I would prefer for moderators to remove the link for their website instead of banning them two times, especially since scam is not moderated and we can't confirm this is a scam.
Anyway, I am monitoring situation with Unionkey outside this forum and I will report any news here.
520  Economy / Services / Re: Exodus Add-On for Privacy Lovers on: February 01, 2024, 05:46:47 PM
I have developed an add-on that protect every Exodus instance with Proxifier over a TOR relay that make your Exodus non-trackable
Or you could just use any other wallet that is Open Source, and run Tor on your system.
Some wallets even have Tor switch integrated in them.

I also have included a CoinJoin/CoinMixing service throug Monero over 2 exchanges, FixedFloat -> ChangeNow.[/b]
FixedFloat is known to frequently freeze coins and asking for verification or other type of documentations from people, and they work with police.
I would never use this exchange or ChangeNow for any coinjoin mixing.

Yes, contact me here or at telegram.
No, thank you.
