the fact that most large cap cryptos are more safe and user friendly than Lightning Network.
That is absolutely not true!
Please don't spread misinformation like this again.

USDT Tether is largest cap possible and it can be frozen and controlled by single entity like it was done several times.
BNB is centralized junk controlled by CZ and few of his friends that is even more controlled that ethereum tokens.
I can continue like this all day long, but I won't waste time.

End of discussion for me.
983  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: shido.io non-KYC virtual card legit??? on: November 25, 2023, 10:50:32 PM
They offer a non-KYC virtual Visa and Mastercard that is working for worldwide purchases.
Any reviews on this service? Are they legit???
It looks like they are using same service provider like some other virtual cards I used recently.
I think they have misleading information for Lite cards, when they say that you can  withdraw $300 from ATM  per day.
This is impossible from non-kyc virtual cards like this, but they claim this on website main page:

984  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bit.store card on: November 25, 2023, 10:40:10 PM
My first feedback for Bit.store cards is not bad so far.
It was easy to create new card and send coins there, what I like is that I can withdraw coins back to my wallet.
I had 50% success rate when I tried to make payments, but one website was not listed as supported, and this was just experimental purchase test.

986  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Black Friday Hardware Wallet Less Known Deals on: November 24, 2023, 10:16:23 PM
FOUNDATION's tweet teased some Black Friday offers slated for today, so we'll need to hold on a bit and see precisely what they'll unveil. Fingers crossed for substantial discounts on devices, not just bundled deals or similar offerings.
Giveaways are always interesting Smiley
Good luck everyone who is participating.

Foundation has decided to create a similar offer like Ledger. If you buy a Foundation Passport hardware wallet, you also receive a C$10 bitcoin voucher.
I received email about thid from Foundation devices and I can confirm this offer is now active for $10 vouchers.
This is not bad, but I prefer having lower price instead of getting coupons for next purchase.

987  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: [Contest][ALT] Best portfolio 2023 on: November 24, 2023, 09:42:01 PM
Sorry for the disappointment, like you I'm suffering Ratimov's decision, but it's his decision.
You did nothing wrong, but I really don't understand his actions in last few months.

Let me know if there are any issues! Sorry for the radio silence in general; preparing a cool R909 review at the moment.. Smiley
Can't wait to read it.
Your reviews are always spot on, and noticed that you were not so much active lately in forum, so you better comeback full power Wink
988  Economy / Reputation / Re: Should Ratimov be in DT1? on: November 24, 2023, 09:31:31 PM
Ratimov reduced the pledged amount by 0.0435 BTC, currently worth $1649, after 90% of the contest's running time passed. And although I'm nowhere near winning this contest, I find this extremely disappointing to do. At least it earned him another 22 Merits posting this. He must have forgotton to delete that post. Let me archive it for him.

You don't just break promises in a community because you're having a tantrum!
WTF is he doing!?   Roll Eyes
I am he is really digging his own hole deeper and deeper every new day.
Nobody forced him to sponsor any competition, so changing his mind like this is unacceptable, and I can see some members even giving him negative feedback because of this.
As if we didn't have enough drama so far...
989  Other / Archival / Re: 📌 [banned mixer] - Maximum Anonymity 🤖 Fees 1 - 5% on: November 24, 2023, 08:37:14 PM
I started testing webmixer service but than I saw that rebranding is underway and I think that is a good idea.
After searching for a way to contact their support I saw that only way of contacting them is with Jabber and Telegram.
I tried contacting them but I never received any answer from them, so they really need to improve that.
Add email support and better be responsive when users are contacting you.

What do you mean by "shitcoin blokchains" precisely?
You live under the rock or what?!  Roll Eyes
I am sure not going to educate you what shitcoin blockchains are if you didn't learn that since 2017.

Most of solutions in your link are unknown and not used by anybody, while even Lightning Network has some security holes.
This is not mine link, it's Jameson Lopp link, and if Lightning Network have some holes, than shitcoins have abyss or trench of insecurity.

It's way more safe to use a well known, reputed and used blockchain, here since many years than an exotic solution IMO.
993  Economy / Exchanges / Re: eXch - instant exchange BTC / LN / XMR / LTC / ETH / ERC20 on: November 23, 2023, 03:06:05 PM
We performed a lot of testing sending our own high-risk coins in random amounts from 1 to 5 BTC multiple times and no funds were frozen. But this doesn't mean it won't change any soon. We are planning to remove Avalanche/ETH bridging bot once Thorchain/ETH bot and integration is fully deployed.
Good to know.

The Binance's customer who lost 27$M had these funds withdrawn from Binance 6 days prior to the heist. The only way these two events may be connected (27$M from hack and ~$12.5M from kidnapping) is in case CZ lied regarding the Tron network and the overall amount. CZ lying publicly is not something rare though.
Strange how Binance and CZ ''lost'' all that money in very short amount of time, and now he needs to pay additional $4.3 billion after pleading guilty for money laundering.
That is to much coincidence if you ask me, and I don't trust anything he is saying, but it's clear to me that regulators are slowly shutting down all centralized exchanges, so we better get used to it.
994  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bit.store card on: November 23, 2023, 02:31:58 PM
I don't know about PayPal but in the case of AliExpress, I have never had issues when using pyypl virtual MasterCard when making payments. However recently they had some legal problems and switched from Mastercard to Visa, I don't know if they will remain the same as they were before.
Strange that on Pyypl website they are still advertising virtual Mestercard, there is no mention of Visa anywhere.
Another thing is that for their cards you need to perform KYC verification, according to information on main page.
I am looking for no-kyc cards that work on Aliexpress for example.

I think they do work worldwide for now until they don't. The cards however work for specific services and also have "a virtual location" so you will need to pick your preferred card
Once you log in, you will see about 4 different cards to pick from for a start, I counted about 7 slots.
That looks interesting, so I had to create quick account for testing.
Two cards I found on my account don't have AVS and 3DS, but other two may have 3DS and they are accepted on more websites (both VISA and Meastercard).
Maybe I will test this cards with smaller amount first, plenty of cheap stuff on Chinese websites.

PS
It sucks that only support for Bit.store is their discord/telegram server.

996  Economy / Reputation / Re: Should Ratimov aka Symmetrick be in DT1? on: November 23, 2023, 01:56:30 PM
As far as I know it's impossible to change forum profile number, unless you are theymos or moderator, so his UID number remains the same - 2627711.
He can change his username as much as he wants, for whatever reason, but this is certainly not the first time that someone has done did.
I see he also changed his password and email today...

Yeah but what about those sweet sweet sig campaign satoshis... it would take MONTHS to get back to that level LOL
It's interesting that after all this circus he remained in the same campaign, but I think that manager added him on his Distrust list  Wink
997  Local / Off-topic (Hrvatski) / Re: Kutak za kulturni trenutak (filmovi, serije, knjige etc) on: November 23, 2023, 10:15:19 AM

998  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Seed Generation in Hardware Wallets on: November 23, 2023, 10:02:48 AM
You can pick up hardware to run Krux for under $50, so it's cheap to try.  I like using it on a Maix Amigo because of the large touchscreen, but the M5StickV is another option that is similar in size to a Blockstream Jade.
I can confirm everything works very good with M5StickV, and this is great to have if you like to have smaller size hardware wallet.
Another good thing about M5StickV is that you can run/remove Krux code and add some other firmware on it, for example code for Jade wallet can be added following instructions below:
https://github.com/Blockstream/Jade

That being said, price for Maix Amigo is around $50 and M5StickV has similar price now, so Maix Amigo is much better option overall.
When I purchased M5StickV price was much lower with some discount.
999  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Black Friday Hardware Wallet Less Known Deals on: November 23, 2023, 09:51:53 AM
Black Friday is tomorrow but we already have discounts available for many hardware wallets.
I am not a fan of Ellipal wallet, but they offer airgapped devices and up to 50% discounts for this year Black Friday or $20 off for Ellipal Titan 2.0 with code Titan20.
Ellipal Titan Mini Cold wallet is now $79 with discount, Mini Duo pack is $149, and you can find other combinations on their website ellipal.com.

1000  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Black Friday Hardware Wallet Less Known Deals on: November 22, 2023, 10:55:29 PM
passport. anyone have a bf code or any code. As it is steep at 199
I think they have 3% discount for paying with Bitcoin, at least that is what it used to be last time I checked.
That is not a huge discount by all means, but it is something, and I think this is not a bad price overall, compared with all other hardware wallets.
Note that you can try their ENvoy beta app right now, and maybe you win 10k Sats for providing a feedback.

As dkbit98 wrote last page, it will be an excellent thing to have the option to buy hardware wallets for cash.
I hope this means ALL BestBuy shops in the world, not just ones located in US Wink
