3381  Economy / Speculation / Re: Cashing out.... on: June 05, 2017, 04:13:28 PM
Well, as we can see the story of thread creator is a little bit sad, because he posted about cashing out at 24 february, when the price of bitcoins in that time was somewhere about 1200$.
Obviously, if we just compare the current price of bitcoin ( 2,500$ per one ) to the overall history of the price, it makes the whole trade that OP made not so bad.
After all, this very big price movement has started not more than 3 months ago! Bitcoin has increased its price over 100% in like 60 days, so you still cannot tell that 1200$ price level is a bad decision.
It might be actually the same right now, and I think that scenario might happen: because in my opinion, btc will fall to 2000$ for some time just to increase its price later, but if you are going to sell now you will regret not waiting 3 years Smiley

It is always better to cash out and get your profits, than lose or risk more.
3382  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading or Investing? on: June 05, 2017, 03:32:34 PM
I always have thought that this question is kind of obvious at least for me, because you can pretty much tell that trading is just investing your money: but not in any company, but into yourself.
If you can gather enough funds for purpose of doing many trades and to keep them safe, then it is all about your skills in doing that job. If you know cryptocurrency market very well, then probably you are going to make money on it: just from buying altcoins that might be worth more in future: because they have potential.
But if someone is much better in forex trading, or even in stocks then it will be the best choice to choose the market that you know the best.

Trading and investing is about the same thing: to multiply your money by doing correct financial decisions.
3383  Economy / Economics / Re: New rich people thanks to BTC on: June 02, 2017, 07:36:42 PM
What are they doing? I assume that they are having fun with the money that they have earned, after all what can you really expect after such a big price surge?

If i would have got 1000 bitcoins, the whole BTC madness would make me extremely happy, so i would like to get some rest in a luxury place, eating luxury food and drinking expensive alcohol Smiley

I wonder how many people are there who had like hundreds if not thousands of BTC but lost access to wallet that had so much bitcoin stored. It is a really interesting question for me, and im very sorry for all thosr people Cheesy
3384  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: June 02, 2017, 07:23:37 PM
Ofcourse bitcoin, I mean, 5 years is really way too long and i think after 5 years that price of the bitcoin would strike high. So if you are smart, then you would probably choose bitcoin Smiley
I think that you’re being naive. The price of Bitcoin could also go to nothing of value within 5 years. Unlike Bitcoin, Gold is very likely to hold a value in 5 years because it’s used in many things and it also looks nice. Historic items usually have Gold in it so with a historic relic mixed with Gold is likely to have a value as well. Nobody cares about Bitcoin, it’s just a bunch of lines of code and numbers that will fall down one day.
I agree with you totally, there are hundreds if not thousands of people who are way too naive or just too blind.
I dont get why so many people here are claiming that bitcoin is something indestructable, something that is eternal and unbeatable.
In fact, if we consider the technology behind BTC it is pretty old: there are cryptocurrencies which provide better technical solutions, but bitcoin has trust all over the world, plus  it is very popular, which makes it so strong.
3385  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The first bitcoin bank! on: May 28, 2017, 04:35:14 AM
https://bitcoinmagazine.com/articles/global-digital-bank-wb-starts-accepting-bitcoin-deposits-1466103194/

According to this article it states that Digital bank WB21 announced that it has added Bitcoin as a method for its customers to transfer and deposit funds to their checking accounts. WB21 customers can now send Bitcoin to make real time account deposits in any of the 18 currencies supported by the bank.

This is the first time we will be having a bitcoin digital bank and as of now they are located at California, Switzerland and Hongkong.

Is this a good news or bad news, whats your say?

It's partly good news for me because it's about time someone in the banking industry actually realises that bitcoin is going to be the future and start to capitalise the idea of bitcoin. We're getting very positive media coverage here, essentially free as always.

But still, bitcoin does not need a bitcoin bank to survive the same way fiats need a central bank and commercial banks that branches under the central bank to survive. It's not all good news when people start depositing their bitcoins into a central entity, when they can store their bitcoins in their own private keys more securely and efficiently. Think about all the hacks involving btc, and all the scams.
3386  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fees!!! on: May 27, 2017, 04:45:19 AM
If you cash out by bitcoins at a casino and the casino doesn't add enough fees for fast confirmation. If the price of bitcoin drops a lot. Should the casino be held responsible for the price differences in which you cashed out at and the current loss in btc prices?

No and i am pretty sure that most of the casinos have clauses in their ToS that basically lets them get away with this sort of thing. However you should always avoid casinos that are known to pay little fees compared to the current recommended fees just to save some satoshis on their part, not only is it a hassle to deal with them it also demonstrates that they don't care about their customers.

On Bitsler and other casinos now they allow you to choose your own fees, whether high, low or medium. If that's the case with your casino and you chose medium/low fees because it's your own choice. But if you weren't offered a choice, or chose high and the transaction still didn't confirm, try arguing with the admin/co-admins on the site first. Some of the more reputable ones might give you a bonus on your withdrawal if you asked them.
3387  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why Is Bitcoin Gambling Industry So Successful in the World? on: May 11, 2017, 04:25:32 PM
There are plenty of reasons why bitcoin has became so successful in the financial world, and I think that the most important reason is that a regular, not important citizen of even small country can make settlements with anyone else, and it does not matter where this person/company lives.
It is all about connection to the internet, and the ability to obtain some bitcoins through some particular job or activity, or just by buying them on the exchange / from the merchant on localbitcoins.com.

Also, the very important thing is that bitcoin and overall cryptocurrencies, give thousands of opportunities to make money: on investing, speculating, trading, posting , coding or anything else you are actually good at. That is why so many people are interested in it, and this is also the reason why they are ready to spend so much money for it.
3388  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addiction. on: May 11, 2017, 04:09:15 PM
If your an addict to gambling thats not good.
Because it may lost ur wealth. If you are an addict to gambling you never stop until you dont feel to stop
U never gain but always a loser.
You are not content on what you have, yoi just play a game no focus to win.
Why do you think that someone who is addicted to gambling activities, has necessarily to lose his whole wealth?
That does not have to happen, I can see hundreds or even thousands of other ways to get out from such a bad habit.
I need to agree that this is a very difficult situation if you live on your own and you dont have any family, but if you are living with your girlfriend, she will know what are you doing: but she is not addicted, so she won't let you lose your whole money because she cares about you.

Every addiction may be cured, but you cannot do anything about such a thing if you dont really want to. it is only up to you to agree on treatment, and to stop wasting your money in casino/ on gambling websites.
3389  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why we still gambling while we always lose? on: May 11, 2017, 03:40:37 PM
I always have thought that this question is actually really easy to answer, maybe Im wrong but this thread pretty much has given me reasons to not think so.
Well, you need to remember that we are just human beings, nobody is perfect what means that you cannot avoid doing some mistakes through your lifetime.
Every human being has some desires, and in many many cases they are related to money, or wealth.
Gambling is something cruel for us in my opinion, because it makes us think that we are able to increase our wealth without any effort: but this is just a simple fallacy, the house edge will rip you off on long term every single time, if you won't stop in a good moment.
3390  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hypothetically: How/Where is the best place to sell $2M USD worth of Bitcoin ? on: May 11, 2017, 11:26:46 AM
Many people nowadays are really angry, because they have bought like thousands of bitcoins back some time ago, and sold them just after really small price increase. They could have been a millionaires today, or at least wealthier people.
But I think that big part of those people do not really think about how can you move such a big amounts of money through banking systems.
With e.g 10,000 BTC, selling all of that is an extremely hard task, if you dont want to get charged for money laundering.
Also, there are not many places where you can sell a really big quantities of bitcoins using wire transfers, so my best advise is just to move this money in smaller parts, like 2-3k $ every day.
3391  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is Becoming a Global Currency on: May 11, 2017, 11:06:48 AM
Obviously, bitcoin is a global currency no matter what: if you do not accept that fact, then you should get some knowledge about cryptocurrencies. Pretty much, every single decentralized and legit coin may be used as a global currency, because you simply may use it in any place at the world: all you just need is internet connection.
So if cryptocurrencies are used world-wide, then I cannot find any reason why some people all bitcoin a scam or a ponzi scheme: after all, the BTC code is open-source, so everybody can look inside it, there is nothing hidden pretty much. That's why I hate all those opinions, who say that bitcoin  cannot be used in making settlements between people living in the different parts of the world.
3392  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Australia moving forward on: May 11, 2017, 10:52:24 AM
Im very, vey glad to see that also Australia has made that wise move.
To be honest, many times before in my posts I have mentioned that such a situation may, and wil probably occur. We should just be thankful to Japan goverment and their society, because they have pretty much made bitcoin more popular, and thanks to their decision we can see that more countries will follow their steps: the first country after Japan is Australia.

A very good thing about that, is that the both countries are highly-developed, and also they have wealthy community. It can really cause the bitcoin price go to the  moon in a really quick time, as we have seen the same thing last week.
3393  Economy / Economics / Re: panic selling on: May 04, 2017, 09:36:41 PM
I dont really think that we may encounter any panic selling right now, it is not the time when people are dumping their coins like a mad-mans.
It is pretty funny, because such a rise have made many people to rid out of their BTC, to get a really great rate on BTC/USD pair, so they get a lot of fiat for every single satoshi.
But panic selling only occurs in such a situation, when the particular asset price is going dramatically down. When it looks like that nothing may stop the current downtrend, and that the company behind the whole project is going to fall. People want to save the money stacked in it as hard as possible, so they simply bail-out from this kind of investment, it is an obvious thing and reasonable, but only if the situation is really bad.
3394  Economy / Speculation / Re: When this bubble will burst? on: May 04, 2017, 09:17:08 PM
Recent weeks have been ridiculous for cryptocurrencies. Almost all major one have hit their ATH , apart from Litecoins (i'm rooting for ya little fella!). It really feels like we are at the verge on another bubble atm. When will it burst though?

I think someone said that in cryptoworld in terms of technology and adoption we are like internet in 1992, but int terms of Hype like internet in 1998.

It feels like it almost has to burst. The question is - how big this bubble will get?
To be honest, I also think that we should expect some kind of a bubble break. It is because that bitcoin price has risen over 1600$ from 1300$ in such a short time.
It is almost unbelievable that we could witness such an extreme rise, after all BTC price was pretty stable last times but as we can see, it has started to regain its previous volatility.

That all comes together with really big altcoin price increase, which is kind of frightening for me. If everything goes up, Im really getting worried if it is just not a bubble.
In most cases, when BTC increases its price, the other cryptocurrency are going down, but we dont see this usual situation this time.
Well, luckily I have sold most of my bitcoins on this great price, so im not really worried about my funds Smiley
3395  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Short Term or Long Term on: May 03, 2017, 01:25:11 PM
In fact, nobody should say such a thing that the long term trading or short term trading is better then each one.
It is because all is dependant on the type of the trader that is going into the market, some of those are playing on very short positions, and some are doing long-term investments.
Personally I like scalping, where i just set up the stop loss and take profit on 10 pips on forex, and on altcoin trading it is also easy to calculate it.
This technique is on 1minute time frame usually, you need to close your transaction as soon as possibile. I've been using it and as far, it works well for me.
3396  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is more profitable: a gambling site or a dating site? on: May 03, 2017, 12:36:45 PM
The biggest problem about making your dating site profitable, is that you need to implement some kind of premium accounts, or at least some premium features.
You are not going to be able to earn enough just from advertisments, and it is obvious. If you want to have the website well designed and programmed, you need also to spend some funds (unless you are a coder).
Server costs too, so I dont have any idea how can I monetize dating site.

About gambling website, the situation is totally different. In most cases it brings profit at a long-term every time when the house edge is positive, but the amount of funds needed to start such a casino, and also good team to secure the website is expensive too.
3397  Economy / Speculation / Re: $2000 anyone? on: May 03, 2017, 12:18:18 PM
To be honest, I actually think that the 2000$ price will be not a big problem right now for a bitcoin.
It is because of that, we have seen such a tremendous increase of the price in just a short time: if we consider that the price of BTC was stable lately, that kind of a rise is a really great signal for us.

Many people were predicting that bitcoin will reach 1500$ at the end of the year, but so far we can see the 1400$ price achieved, and it is not even the half of the year.
In my opinion, if the Japan will continue doing the same thing, we will have 2000$ per one bitcoin before the new year.
3398  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In what situation would Bitcoin die? on: May 03, 2017, 12:11:26 PM
i'm just a newbie here, and I'm not thinking any about how does bitcoin die, well I guess it not gonna be happen at the price of bitcoin has now, No I don't think so. And the only chance of it, if the internet now will be destroy that's the starting point of downfall of bitcoin, but like what I said, its not possible if that happen.
Can I ask you, In what way do you think blockchain may be destroyed?
There is pretty much only one option, in the case of the nuclear war. It is because there are thousands of nodes which contain blockchain, and which are "streaming" it if you want to simplify.
We cannot expect that bitcoin network will be erased, but we may see just a fall of the price in the BTC- which is not really likely right now.
Maybe, if the fees would have risen too high, and confirmation time will be even longer: than may cause a problems for bitcoins, as we already have the beginning of this issue.
3399  Economy / Speculation / Re: When do you think Bitcoin will reach $1500? on: May 02, 2017, 10:26:34 PM
I think that this is not really a hard question, that thread has joined the club of the threads that are more about past times of bitcoins, than the current situation.
As probably most of the people reading this forum and participating in it already know, the bitcoin price has exceeded even 1400$ per one. There was already 1440$ price on the USDT/BTC price.
There are already more threads about bitcoin reaching 2000$, and we pretty much should move our discussion in there, I think that is a better idea.

On the other hand, we can still have a correction that will lead price down, to the 1300-1350$ levels, bitcoin doesn't have to reach 1500$ in next 3 days necessarily. We still may see some strange, unexpected moves on the charts.

3400  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Focus on the trading process not the money on: May 02, 2017, 09:18:55 PM
Personally, I have always been taught to not even care or look at the money and my equity which I have right now, it is just not needed for my trades.
I do some specific strategies and technique which work well for me, but to be honest I never care if last 10 trades were on profit or on loss.
It is because I always set up stop-loss and take-profit, and all I do is play a probability game. It means that im trying to make my odds better, thanks to joining the trend/countertrend move in a correct timing.

My advice for every beginner in trading is to focus on making trades and correct analysis, than instead on profits and desire of winning. To make it come true, you need an experience.
