16981  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Legal Marihuana banking problems - solution, bitcoin on: January 12, 2014, 11:18:23 PM
This problem won't last. Legal grass is still very new, and the banking sector is always slow to adapt. When bankers will have a better vision of how much cash the legal grass business can bring, they will lobby Washington D.C. to let them accept those customers.

Meanwhile, business owners can still rent a safe deposit box.

I think the banks are doing that to push them out of business.

It's not that, I'm sure the banks would love to take their money, but the federal government wont allow them to.

I have no need or desire to appear smug. And neither did I absolutely want them to buy bitcoins, although I knew they would profit from it.

First of all I wanted them to know about this groundbreaking technology, but I seem to have overestimated my audience. Perhaps I should just get new friends, someone that have actual goals in their lives and that have vision.

Too many people lack vision.

Many have ambition but talent they haven't. Bitcoin can be a groundbreaking technology that they can be a part of and also make a bit of money off it. If they don't understand the benefits and why it's so great and revolutionary, then more fool them.

Yes, I think the same way. But some people are only concerned about what they do that day, and what they like or dislike that day, and have no plans or visions for where they or their country or the world for that matter will be in say 5 years.

I want to live, learn, and be successful - I do not want to rot away discussing the results of the latest soccer match.

That ambition and drive is good. Be the change you wish to see in the world Gandhi said. That being said, I still enjoy football, but I also find this highly amusing and an on point parody: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MusyO7J2inM

Just joined and found out that I can't get my 0% fee on Pooligans because I can't post my username in the USDE topic (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=410254)... If anyone would be so kind as to post my username (Remonius) there (and of course mentioning that it's for Pooligans) it would be greatly appreciated!

Looking forward to learn more about Crypto!  Grin

Quoted your message in that thread for you.

16986  Other / Politics & Society / Re: [POLL] How would you describe yourself politically? on: January 12, 2014, 09:45:57 PM
Libertarian Socialist is a confused person, how can the government provide many goods and services to the public and control the means of production (Socialism) while at the same time leaving you free to provide for yourself and be small (Libertarian)?

Libertarian Socialism originally was just another word for anarchist.

It still is.
16987  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Selling Bitcoin on EBay on: January 12, 2014, 09:33:07 PM
Hi there, if this is in the wrong forum mods please move it!

I understand there is the high risks with selling Bitcoin on EBay and people reversing the paypal transaction, but I can see that if you sell in small increments (0.01 or 0.001) you should be able to make a nice profit as long as there isn't too many scammers.

What would your thoughts be about selling on ebay?

The ideas that I had came up with to minimise scammers
1. Sell in small increments
2. Set minimum feedback or you get refunded

What do you think of this?

If you have any more tips about this please let me know!

Doesn't matter about feedback really. Scammers will still scam you with accounts that have the minimum feedback required. You can try sell on ebay but you'll have to take into consideration the occasional scam/PP chargeback. Up to you on what you do.

Oh, so this is where my thread went ^^

Updated Primedice and Bit777/Peerbet offers.

It took me a while to find it  Grin. Think it's been moved twice now.

Thanks for keeping the list updated. Don't know how many people will see it though as it gets buried pretty quick.

Edit: I see you've got a link in your sig. Good idea. Was gonna suggest doing that.
16989  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Mark Zuckerberg invest in BTC/altcoins? on: January 12, 2014, 09:23:21 PM
Maybe Mark Zuckerberg invented Bitcoin DUN DUN DER!

Cue the Is Mark Zuckerberg Satoshi? threads.
16990  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I know what satoshi is doing right now!! on: January 12, 2014, 08:30:06 PM
You're being ignorant.

I notice more and more of these types of post (drivel) from people with the dice signature, so much so that I think it is starting to reflect badly on the sponsor.

Neither the OP nor anyone above your post has a paid signature (unless somebody removed theirs?).
16991  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I know what satoshi is doing right now!! on: January 12, 2014, 08:09:46 PM
Satoshi is floating on a cloud of smug. That or he's despairing at the beast that he has created.

I reckon he's died of a smug overdose. I wonder how he (or they) feel about how Bitcoin has been accepted or used. What if he is disgusted by the beast he has created and decides to dump all his coins like a cointroll for laugh?
16992  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Overview of Signature-Ad Campaigns on: January 12, 2014, 08:05:53 PM
Stunna has updated his PD payout to 0.8BTC for 4000 posts.
Bitsplay have updated their max payout to 0.5BTC, but they state their payment can change at any time, so this is a bit disconcerting.

Stakes are hotting up  Cheesy.
16993  Other / Off-topic / Re: Anybody seen this COIN ??? on: January 12, 2014, 07:32:18 PM

The title was supposed to confuse bitcointalk users about a "NEW", "ANOTHER", "NOT AGAIN", "OH DAMN", "ORLY?" - ALT-COIN

but i guess it didnt work that way... Tongue

I'm sure it confused or had most fooled into thinking it was gonna be another crapcoin lol.

Ditto. I bet it had a few mods enter ready to angrily move it into altcoins  Grin.
16994  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to deal with stress? on: January 12, 2014, 07:30:25 PM
go outside and have a long wank if you cannot do this then have some time alone in dark room its better for deal with stress  Wink

I read this as that. I need to get glasses  Cool Grin.
16995  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: VOTE - POLL How many of us are here for a cryptocoin other than Bitcoin? on: January 12, 2014, 07:23:05 PM
Does anyone feel that having so many different coins is diluting the value of all of them. Too much of a good thing maybe?

Yeah, but let the kids have their toys to play with. They'll grow out of 'em and move on to bigger and better things hopefully.
16996  Other / Meta / Re: Ability to Rate Posts on: January 12, 2014, 07:15:24 PM
I am not aware of the proper proposal regulations on Bitcointalk so if this is insolent please forgive me.

I believe the rule is that you can make as many proposals as you want, but none of them will ever happen Wink

Haha. I was gonna make a proposal in meta of maybe having the ability to like/favourite or bookmark posts, but decided it would probably be futile  Grin.

Maybe we need a proposed features that will never happen thread.
16997  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Question About Early Adapters Who Hold Coins on: January 12, 2014, 07:09:17 PM
There's no single answer to that question. There are as many answers as there are people holding Bitcoin.

Yeah, everyone is different. I bought my coins at £70, but don't really want to invest any more money in them, but I'm trying to earn them in other ways like selling stuff for Bitcoin and earning them for doing various other things.
16998  Other / Off-topic / Re: Sex on: January 12, 2014, 07:00:41 PM
fun fact:woman have more fun than men in sex due to more nerves in the vagina  Grin

But then they also have to crap babies out of those sensitive nerve-ridden vaginas lol.
its one of most threatening work done by women and some one saying they touch the death in this process  Wink

I wouldn't go that far, but queefing out a tiny human must hurt.

Haha. Well women can die during childbirth, but thankfully it's uncommon nowadays in the Western world, but sadly still happens a lot more in the developing countries.
16999  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Pyramid on: January 12, 2014, 06:45:53 PM
I've not clicked the link but I'm guessing it's a pyramid scheme?

It looks that way, I don't understand what utility it serves. Not too clued up with pyramid schemes, but I can see a Bitcoin scheme doing well haha. Probably not a good idea to be promoting stuff like this on here...

It'll probably get deleted or at least moved once the mods see it. Referral links aren’t allowed in main posts anyway.
