Yeah the ASUS dual fan basic model is pretty bad for cooling compared to the msi armor for example.  Anyways, I made a review for the sapphire mining edition (rx470 8g), if you guys want to check it out its on my website.  Basic results :  29mhs + 60 lbry, 1100/2085, 0 memory errors, 0.84v about, mem 900mv, 82w reported on GPUZ (didnt check at the wall).  Pretty much the exact same as the Nitro 470 series, except, of course, you can resell the nitros....obviously the mining edition has 0 outputs and 180 days warranty.

Sell orders are accumulating to give the impression of the coin going much lower.  They are buying the coin, but are trying to make people sell at a low price.  Dont give your hard earned coins to those people, HODL

Good, I say let people dump to 1 satoshi.  So we can buy some cheap coins and make easy bitcoins.  China bans bitcoin is a meme now, because It has happened so often.  And ICOs were scams to begin with.  We had premine, people didnt like so much, but it was okay for some projects.  Then we had no premine, but instamine, people didnt like at all.  Then they re-vived dead coins after accumulating, but that was a lot of work for the scammers.  Then they did ICOs, which is basically a big premine, only they get paid in bitcoin or ether.  scammers laughing all the way to the bank.

My opinion is that if you want the coin to get more popular...sure a giveaway would be nice, but the best bet would be an easy to deal with exchange, like cryptopia, nova or bittrex, and eventually see the coin on whattomine calculator

We are on nova already, bittrex and poloniex are in limbo (bittrex since forever, poloniex new coin submission some days ago).
We are already on whattomine as well.

I think im retarded sometimes
946  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v10.0 (Windows/Linux) on: September 04, 2017, 01:41:23 PM
So, I flashed the BIOS on my second card (it had only been mining at around 4MH/s....) and that didn't do anything. I saved the bios from the working card and flashed it to the second card and noticed literally zero change in performance. How the heck do I fix this and get my second card operating at full capacity?

YOu have the infamous 4mhs bug.  Usually resolved by restarting the rig while connected to a monitor, connecting the gpu to a monitor, or getting a dummy plug and connecting it to your GPU.

I have a problem, I downloaded the Miner, it adjust the settings I added in the start.bat after it adjusts it, the commando window closes itself. Any idea what to do?

add "pause" without quotes on a separate line in the .bat.  You will see why it closes, or check the log file if it had time to write one.  could be many things.

949  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU warranty trick - Question on: September 04, 2017, 01:26:40 PM
Yup thats a better solution.  Look for the manufacturers website, and warranty section.  some have very strict warranty conditions, others quite the opposite.  Others give you 1 year warranty, but if you register in x amount of time and upload the invoice, you get 3 years, etc.
950  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v10.0 (Windows/Linux) on: September 04, 2017, 02:17:13 AM
to increase hashrate, you need to mod your bios and edit your memory timings.  Also, underclock and undervolt to save electricity and overclock the memory.  Its not plug and play, but there many guides out there, youtube videos and bitcointalk posts.  You could always check my website there is a section on bios flashing.  at your own risk.  no one said it was easy but for a little effort you will get 30% more hashrate for less power usage.
951  Economy / Economics / Re: “The future of Money” Whitepaper on: September 03, 2017, 09:03:07 PM
Yeah I think it means more, this is how we go to a cashless society, from A to Z, while maintaining the current monetary growth system we have now.  I think this does not replace bitcoin in any way shape or form.  From what I understand, if me and you do a transaction on the "off chain", it still goes through banks.  Bitcoin still retains its magic.
952  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU warranty trick - Question on: September 03, 2017, 08:52:42 PM
Just want to add that there are other GPU manufacturers that accept warranty claim without an invoice.  Pretty sure gigabyte doesnt require an invoice, they check the card and determine the date of manufacture, and your warranty starts from there.  If you bought the card in 2016, but it was made in 2015, then you just lost one year warranty - unless - you have the invoice stating date of purchase.

I really, really, really like that onion logo with the crypto design going in the ground.  We should make that the official logo.
954  Other / Archival / Re: Pictures of your mining rigs! on: September 03, 2017, 03:55:32 PM
Hey,
just wanna show you one of my mining rigs.
Right now we are setting up a large mining facility and more rigs are in production.
I keep you updated and post more pictures if intrested. Smiley

Nice clean rig, are you using those 1x3 pcie splitters to get 8 GPU's ?  Its crazy when you look at the cost of that rig though...1080tis man they are expensive Smiley
955  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's causing this bloodbath? on: September 03, 2017, 12:11:29 AM
meh 4900 to 4500 is nothing really, a proper crypto drop would be from 5000 to 2000 in two months or so, then a slow steady rise/stagnation for some time, then a rapid and explosive gain to new heights, and...repeat.  nothing to worry about.  Now if a major exchange were to go all out GOXX then Id start to worry.
956  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Do any coins actually get released without an "ICO" now? on: September 02, 2017, 07:44:50 PM
Yeah DeepOnion had a fair launch...unfortunately it has a huge premine - BUT - its for the airdrop.  so theres that going for it.  Too bad its an ASIC coin, should get a baikal to mine it, GPU's wont be profitable.  IMO it should be a GPU mineable coin.
957  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CPU mining 2017? on: September 02, 2017, 07:42:50 PM
Yeah I do VRM, but I havent checked new coins in a while.  It was mining 40cents a day off a g3258 pentium, so not too shabby but still pretty low.  CPU coins always get a bad rap due to botnets.
958  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU warranty trick - Question on: September 02, 2017, 07:39:22 PM
Im willing to bet they will change warranty options very soon...if they havent already.  Good GPU's like EVGA don't need to, because their fans, etc, actually last long and thus are good for mining.  Some still have sleeve bearing fans, and those will die and be RMA.  I wouldnt try to scam the company for a repair...its because of people that do so that rules get worse for everyone else.
959  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Newbie's Guide to Mining 101. on: September 02, 2017, 07:36:19 PM
Dont mine with a laptop, the problem is heat dissipation.  To start mining, I always say get a gaming rig, with one good GPU.  Mine with that and reinvest all your profits into mining.  After a few years you'll have a big mine...but it takes patience.  Otherwise people invest large sums of money...even borrowing money  (which I do not recommend).  You can check out my website for basics If you want, and to learn terms and what things mean.
960  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Choosing a MB for 6 GPUs on: September 02, 2017, 07:34:11 PM
you can get a cheap Gigabyte H110 or something like that.  Most will run 6 GPU's.  Maybe you have a kabylake processor, I have never tried one and always stuck to skylake but that may be the problem.
