Why did the price go down again?

Because you keep asking why the price keeps dropping.  People are selling just to see if you will ask again.

let's make the assholes that are selling right now of their decisions with those news:) Trash nice to see you in the thread Smiley

Heh. Yes it's a funny time to sell isn't it?

It's bordering insanity.

Very excited about the revenue potential that Xmixers and web 3.0 could have. Word on the street is theres even more great news tomorrow??

Indeed there is.

The finalised Rev 2 will include a "coinjoin killer".

There will also be other announcements tomorrow...

You already told us that multiple times.

The finalised REV 2 will be released tomorrow right?

Ya.. people asking multiple times requires multiple answers....  You are like the most passive aggressive mountaingoat I have ever met....

First one to post their XC addy gets some for free.

I have some in my wallet that I don't need.

Blashphemy!  How can there be XC coins you don't "need"Huh

Another question, why is the difficulty going up like this, we got more wallets online stacking?

eg: this is the average a day, after XC started with POS

The network weight definitely went up dramatically.   It's at 8.9 million!   I still remember it being like 1 mil or something really low.   Shows that everyone is staking like mad.

My 5 XC transaction is still sucked at processing after one hour..

I just tested 5 XC private transaction, it went through successfully in 3 minutes with 12 active connections.

I can send one and 2 xcs no prob.. not 5... how many coins do you have in the wallet?

100 XC.

Have you tried enabling coin control?
Settings -> Options -> Display -> Display coin control features (experts only!)

Then you should see Coin control features on your Send tab. Click inputs and select one with more than 5 XC and try again.

I sent private transaction back to my wallet and the coins mysteriously disappeared from block explorer balance Wink

Yes I had coin control active in my wallet but did not try that i'll try it now.

No it failed even with coin controlled coins

How many input did you select?   Dan mentioned that right now, it only support 1 input per private transaction (eg. 1 checkbox)

Scary how Cryptsy can't even handle simple things like this for so long.

"However, since mixing can only be between nodes that are currently making private payments, this gives rise to two underlying scenarios that could limit this capacity:"

wasn't the first plan that every xc app would be a mixer and that you only could earn transaction fees if there are xxx XC in it?
i can't understand the quoted sentence above because even with the xmixer there might be the problem that there are too few xmixers online at any given time so that transactions could be cancelled.

can someone explain that to me please, the fact why the wallet is now divided into "normal app" + "xmixer".

thank you!

+1.
And what also bothers me is that you have to keep your coins online.

You don't have to be a XMixer you know?   The choice is yours...

a) you want to earn fees, leave it 1000 per wallet online and be a XMixer
b) you just want to stake, then just unlock wallet once in a while
c) you don't give a crap, cold storage offline only

Awww... you didn't mention that XC gets DAILY reviews by Dan.   Grin

Also, once Final REV2 releases... that means Dan & team will begin implementing Web 3.0...

You'd have to be insane not to hedge your portfolio with XC while that is being developed.

I am ALL IN... not just hedge.

Hi guys Im trying to forward port 32348 on my router for the xmixer.. I did everything right I found my local IP address and setup the router from the static IP address but when I check the port it is still not open.. does this mean I have to contact my internet provider to fuking forward the port?

1. Did you check to make sure Windows Firewall is allowing that port through?
2. Did you turn on your router UPNP?   If so, it might already be assigned to another computer or it might be already binded to your XC wallet automatically.

1-how do I check it?
EDIT: I went into the Inbound rules of windows firewall advanced security clicked on new rule >port>tcp>Specific local port>32348>allow connection>domain>private>named
2-how do I do it?
EDIT: done was enabled already

Checked again the port but is still not open

Thx

Did you try to send it say failed?   Cause when I check for port opening, it doesn't show that it's opened, but I can send private transaction anyway.  Try sending 5 XC or something.

http://www.bankofengland.co.uk/publications/Documents/quarterlybulletin/2014/qb14q3digitalcurrenciesbitcoin2.pdf

Bank of England analyzing Bitcoin technology for those who missed it.

"Ultimately every transaction involving a financial asset must
be recorded and most of these records are digital. The
structure of the broader financial system is similar to
payments in that these records are held by centralised third
parties. The application of decentralised technology to this
platform of digital information could have far-reaching
implications, other industries whose products were digitised
have been reshaped by new technology. The impact of the
distributed ledger on the financial industry could be much
wider than payments.
"

TLDR: They still think that the blockchain tech is for digital currency only.

Oh well, that means they won't be in the running to create anything innovative. ;-)

So that means when XC gets to rev 3 and beyond, we will be a major surprise won't we?   Wink

Hey Dan,

Tried sending more than 10XC (under 100XC) privately, but getting the error code -1. Failed to find a suitable tx.  Maxium you can send is 10.    The read me said 1-100XC.   Is the read me incorrect or the limit hasn't been raised?

Double check your version is v0.9.2.48c_RCa.XCurrency-REV2. via help/debug window, also if your amount was more than 10, try something less than 10 just to test.

Dan

Yes, 0.9.2.48c_RCa.XCurrency-REV2.    Sending 1 XC didn't give me the error.

EDIT: although it failed after a while still, it didn't give the error message immediately like sending > 10 XC.

When it gives that error about the max you can send, it is supposed indicate the largest single transaction amount.  If you go into coin control and click on inputs and then tree mode, you should see a list of transactions and amounts.  Its grabbing a single transaction to use as an input.

If you need a bigger amount, simply send yourself 50XC's in 1 transaction.. then you can send upto 50

Dan

Ah, I see.  So, the max # of input it can use right now is one input?

do we have an estimation of xnodes rewards on mixing? Also plz do remind me, mixers can stake as well at the same time right?

No they cannot...I think..correct me if im wrong

By definition, when they are mixing, the coins are moving around.   Even if they are still "staking", unless they don't get moved for a long time, I doubt they will stake at all by the time the coins inside gets moved.

Does an xnode use its own coins to mix with users transactions?

When you say Xnode, it just means wallet right?  because every wallet is an xnode.   So, when you send coins out, it will send coins from its own xnode and mixes with other people's coins from xmixer to finally arrive at the destination address.

People don't hack into your computer just randomly, you must first have something they want and even then it is nearly impossible with a good virus scanner.

You are too paranoid indeed.

They want your computer for their botnet.   Everyone is welcome for those... they just want your cpu/gpu/spamming IP resources.
Just use a good virus scanner like Avast! That one usually detects malware and just don't download files you think might be a virus.

You will be sorely disappointed to know about zero day exploit through just browsing to sites you think are safe....  You don't even have to click anything to get it.
